Caelumite: Finding Starfield's Rarest Resource

this is Tim with digital survival thanks for joining me today this video is about how to find calamite it's an extremely rare element and it's often found in the main quest line when you're unearthing artifacts but there is another place that it's commonly found as well we're gonna see if we can find some here on procyon 3. so my current landing spot is what I'm just going to call the North Pole not sure if that's technically North or South but we're going to call it the North Pole right about here I came here because there's abundant wildlife and I've been doing some work on the combat skills challenges but while I was running around I found something else way off in the distance there we've got an unknown marker a quick scanner that shows an anomaly now this is what you're looking for we're gonna go get a little bit closer obviously but this anomaly with this shape usually indicates at least every time I've seen it in the case of gravitational anomaly and gravitational anomalies are the most common for a place to find calamine a little bit closer to it now about 300 meters away one of the things you can see that characterizes this anomaly is the Rocks just floating in the air those are not the creatures that float those are the creatures that float up here the farther down we've got rock kind of ground debris here's another really good angle on what you're gonna see you see something like this go over check it out make sure you have your mining laser with you all right here we are the gravitational anomaly now we want to plow our scanner and look around for mineral deposits on these rocks there's a couple right there halamite this is he's dead that's fine now it is an interesting mineral I'm gonna grab some right here obviously exotic you can see the three stars next to it when you break it it doesn't disappear like you did get some foreign and if you'll notice the value of calamite is really high 164. now when you compare that to something like neon which is also an exotic element it's more than 10 times more valuable so right here we've got four deposits it's a little bit more work than mine than average oars but worth it I mean we should be able to find some more so we're going to look around a little bit more and see what else we've got seeing something here we go three more all right it looks like this whole spot was just one deposit so this was three deposits right here one up top and two on the side okay you want to be thorough here you want to take your time go around every Rock leave no stone unturned buck into the holes check the middles that sounded a little bit weird there is a little more this one I just did all right it looks like this is one I've already harvested that's one of the challenges with feeling like it it still shows up even when you've already gotten it all right we're gonna check this last wall oh you're not dead um I I wasn't expecting to actually talk to anybody God can you help me please you seem like you're capable you up for a quick rescue kind of in the middle of making a video here but yeah let's uh let's give you med pack then let's do this my ship's not too far from here I'll mark it on your scanner and we can book it together I hate escort quests um you know what uh just if you want to hang out for just a second I just got to check for a little bit more kill tonight okay all right um yeah just follow me that's the okay let's just I was just gonna check this last Stone here I think this is when I was up here we go this is why we check okay [Music] all right there has been a time one of the one of the places I went actually had some calamite up on top of these Stones so I just wanna it's a quick jaunt up here on up and that's it let's make sure we're safe while we do this oh don't fall thank you this is just a single deposit nope that was two and just gonna double check that space down there right next to the survivalist I think we got that from the end oh we didn't get this one though all right I think I think we can say we've got everything now hey a predator that he was talking about just take a look in here oh it's not even under new items anymore resources kill my we got 15 Calamine from that one anomaly I did a little more looking around on sound three and I wanted to show you guys found a couple more gravitational anomalies these are near my Outpost exit two outposts in this area let's go to the planetary map so we have two outposts in this area of the map uh partially because I found ionic liquids in a ground deposit that I wanted to be able to harvest not even sure what they're good for you this is north and west of the civilian outpost on person on three and what I found near my outposts near The Outpost location to the Southwest into the South I found two more gravitational anomalies that's in addition to one that I found up here near the North Pole so that's at least three on this planet and it makes me want to go look around a little bit more the point of gravitational anomalies is they give you calamite I've picked up 45 and 15 from each of the three gravitational anomalies that I found on today's playthrough I'll probably do a later video and I know all the things that this is used to craft it'll cover that anyway just wanted to share that with you if you're looking for Kayla my course around 3 has at least
