Bulldog Faith is Determined

[Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] hello oh really in many ways this could kind of sort of be counted the kind of pre kickoff to the southwest of a laborious convention we have a lot of convention i'ts right here with us this morning I'll ask you again for the cameras so they can see how many of you are here for they came in for the convention let me see everybody of course and all of you that are watching this morning I know you're watching because you're gonna be watching the believers to mention all week long I many believers do I have in the room this is great Greg you know superwoman I expected them to kind of do the way anyway we're really glad that you're here so you came and maybe you haven't you've never even seen faith foundations before you came from the East Coast and so you got your time on mixed up and you thought service was gonna start at 10:00 and you wonder who in the world that woman is this standing up there can I see your hand please very smart very smart I have a lot worse reputation you know that I really deserve anyway well one of the things that we said in this class back in January beginning of the year the Lord really he gave me some direction and how many know that it's really important to hear and follow the leading of the Lord and learn now we learn to follow him and sometimes we learn by miss stepping but it's okay we make a mistake and he corrects us that's much better than miss stepping when it's really critical right so in this class early in the beginning of this year the Lord impressed me to share this pulpit more often with Greg and to really for it to be kind of a tag-team though we have had other teachers come we have a marvelous lineup of faith teachers in this class I mean now any of you saw Pastor John yes and pastors Lane when he comes it's so great marvelous I love the line of what what world-class teachers we have in this church word class teachers I should say we're like really yeah a network they go why don't you get further further because I'm afraid the camera come up it down so we agreed to do that and there have been many times especially with my the direction the Lord's given me sometimes I'm out of the pulpit so it's been a wonderful thing for you and a blessing to me so I have planned on doing class this morning but you know I just forgot this one little thing and that was to ask the Lord and it's really his class not my own so I got really excited about something that I had been studying and was getting all worked up about in faith in Romans chapter 4 and I just did something I rarely do and announced that I'll be in the teaching class next Sunday and then when it got down to it the Lord said no you won't like that's right I won't so I called Greg and he's so good he's right on the spot right just ready always ready and I said do we have something for class tomorrow and I'm sure so he's ready so he'll give this the Greek I don't know the Greek the Hebrew the Aramaic and the Spanish maybe four four yes I can do that so I don't give it to you take it away brother thank you [Applause] we have we have not only the privilege but an awesome responsibility at this church and I'm talking to our locals and Yui members as well you're part of our congregation we share our pastors with the world and so that's my assignment to help them do what they're called to do and if that means come in here and then I come in here that means something else that means something else and so we shared them with the world and that's an awesome responsibility that we have in the body of Christ they meant I asked you to do me a favor pray for them lift them up encourage them okay deal all right talking about faith today well good cause it's faith foundation how many word people are in the room i singapore singapore just walked in i recognize those people how many are you from out up to the country from out of the United States wonderful we're from Canada I speak Canadian hey where Sweden wonderful I found out on 4% Swedish when I did the DNA test who knew well there's another one I didn't hear it Great Britain um Canada another Canadian you guys know each other nevermind well welcome we're grateful I'm grateful that you're here and all of you from the there I missed somebody I'm sorry I missed you were you from the UK do you know do you know them nevermind I do that because when you say you're from the United States and places they're like oh I have a relative that lives in Michigan like do you know them but I make I live in Texas it's a long ways away from the best thing about being a word person well let's do this first father we bless you we we thank you we magnify you I glorify you I thank you for the word our faith is in your word we will not be disappointed Lord I ask for your anointing clarity of thought and purpose to get this message across to your people we're gonna hear the word and I ask you sir to wash us in your word today and we'll never be the same in Jesus mighty name you agree all right the best thing about being a word person is we believe the word and how the word applies to us would you agree with that the worst thing about being a word person is we believe the word and how it applies to us stay with me do not unhook all of you put your shields of faith away I am not firing darts at you fiery darts are not coming from me today that are gonna harm you let me explain what I'm talking about we read something or we hear someone teach about having great faith and they teach about the three steps or the twelve steps or the Texas two-step we begin you didn't get it you'll get it later we compare ourselves to their testimony and we begin to compare ourselves not to the word now we begin to compare ourselves to what they just said so what have we just done as word people we've gotten ourselves off of the word and gotten ourselves onto the testimony of someone else and we compared ourselves to a standard that the word may not have had for us oh all right we think we got to be this or we got to be that or we got to be the other thing what you have to be is what Jesus has told you to be we meet a brother or sister in the lobby or in the restroom and they have a headache and we tell them you need to have faith not Advil now we made ourselves feel better but we condemned them because we're word people and then they realized wow I don't have the faith of them come on guys we know scriptures say that the just shall live by faith Paul has written three books in the New Testament that define what that means in Romans he tells us that we've been given the measure of faith right so you have faith you how many of you check the quality and integrity of the chair that you're in when you came in here this morning you had faith based upon past experience that the chair should support you right faith is a firm conviction or persuasion based upon what you know to be true I know that the chair will support me based upon past experience so you had faith in the chair you're with me on this so I read some places and this is where I'm headed with this today I read some places where Jesus told his disciples how is it you have no faith and I thought wait a minute every man has been given a measure of faith but now you just told them they have no faith and if I'm a word person I got to believe Jesus so who's lying they have been given a measure of faith but they have no faith you guys do that or is it just me I read stuff like that in the word the mic wait a minute and so then I began to dig another time he says oh you of little faith and then he finds two people that had great faith right because we want to be the person of great faith don't you I want to be that great nothing is impossible faith yes I agree with you while I was taught that faith comes by hearing Romans 10:17 so then faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God now there's a lot to unpack in that scripture and I'm not gonna unpack it today we'll do it another time I want to get to something else I was told and I taught it myself that if I would just keep hearing and hearing and hearing and hearing and hearing and hearing and hearing and hearing and hearing and hearing then at some arbitrary point in the cosmos I would have faith my it's quiet is this the same as I transported to the Methodists or Lutheran Church and so then I began to wonder at what number is it what if I stopped listening to the tape one time too soon have you done that well if I don't listen to that one more time I might have got it now when you just said it I might have got it my faith isn't listening to a tape see what happens see the subtlety of this stay with me guys so I don't want to have no faith I don't want to belittle faith I want to be great faith there's two things in those two people there's some things in common allottee with them as well but I'm not gonna unpack that one today as well so I had this mentality then if I listened to the tape a hundred times or two hundred times or five hundred times then all of a sudden I will have Kenneth Copeland faith I'll be strong in faith then I began to wonder well how many times Lord how many times would you have me to listen to this you with me and then I realize Abraham didn't have any tapes matter of fact Abraham didn't even have this so my faith has been listening to tapes and I'm not mad I am NOT coming to get your tape ministry listen to them it's important to immerse yourself but the focus has to be correct immerse yourself in the word stay with me guys so I began to study the details of faith from the master Mary told the servants at the first miracle what was the first miracle class turned the water into wine they brought some they he was setting there they brought some barrels of water past him and it blushed you'll catch that later too it'll be fun so I began to study this thing and she said something whatever he tells you to do do it and then I read were his brother his stepbrother said over in the book of James not to just be a hearer of the word but a doer of the word remember that so I began to see something his brother also said this faith without doing something is dead I'm seeing a pattern in the family you see it mama and brother are both saying the same thing you're Matthew chapter 7 quickly please Matthew chapter 7 well where did they hear this I'll show you where they heard it the woman that was healed in Capernaum right we call her the woman with the issue of blood she has no issue of blood trust me but that's how we refer to her still we refer to her as what she was she's not that now when she heard of Jesus the scripture said and he said daughter your faith has made you whole my question is how many times did she hear I don't know does it say so the Bible is not specific on how many times she heard so Gregg was getting focused on how many times he had to hear this thing and the devil had me chasing my tail okay I said I noticed this whenever someone was healed in the Bible how many times did Jesus tell them usually once usually one time and that interesting one word from God brother Copeland said we'll do what change your life you're here for Southwest I truly believe with everything that's in me you will hear one word from God this week and it's going to change your life it'll change the life of those around you your your children and your grandchildren should the Lord tarry to future generations my grandfather heard one word hillbillies moonshine runnin Rock throwing at the preacher every night there was a brush Arbor meeting I don't know if you know what those are and he would go with his brothers and throw rocks at the at the preacher yeah that's a tough crowd put him down I saw some people moving back to put him down and then one night he heard a word and he made the walk he walked forward gave his life to the Lord forever changed destiny of not only him but my father my uncle me my children it changed the course that we were on as a family one word one word all right yeah are you Matthew seven therefore this is Jesus speaking is that Jesus speaking cuz it red-letter somebody help me okay read write and read write and means it's true right therefore whoever hears these sayings of mine and does them wait a minute that sounds like mama whatever he tells you to do do it that sounds like his brother James doesn't it therefore whoever hears these sayings of mine and does them I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock and the rain descended and the floods came and the winds blew and beat on that house this is a faith man right and it did not fall for it was founded on the rock but everyone who hears these words of mine and does not do them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand and the rain descended the floods came the winds blew and beat on that house and it fell and great was its fall and so it was when Jesus had ended these sayings that the people were astonished at his teaching for he taught them as one having Authority and not as the scribes and that beautiful so there it is Jesus is telling us what Mary had already said then we get into Jesus always does this he'll teach something and then he'll go into some story and if we're not careful we get distracted by that he starts in on the storm thing right now for a long time I got distracted by the storm thing and you know where there's a little song built your house upon the rock and all this kind of stuff and then this storm I remember a minister see how what I'm telling is you can get you can get off by comparing yourself not going back to the word I remember hearing a minister ask the congregation can you speak to a storm you're not in because every storm that Jesus spoke to he was in it and I submit to you you can't speak to a tornado in Arkansas if you live in Texas you have no authority to speak to that storm and I was thinking about that hmm hmm and that's something now I took something they said yeah well that's a Texas word ciub she hollered out male bovine yeah that's it bull yep and I said well yo no wait huh what he can't you can't what well wait a minute Kenya and now I am so focused on the storm I've lost the meaning of what he had said and now every time a storm meteorologist captain every time a storm comes up I'm thinking can I speak to this storm or can I not speak to that storm well what do I need to save that storm well I need to figure out what I need to say because I got to say the right things to the storm right and I'm so focused on the storm that's hitting my house and the other guy's house then I'm not doing the word what he said was does the sayings does the things that I say right whatever I tell you to do do it the point of the whole thing was I'm focused on storms and if I have a faithless and authority to speak to him instead of build a foundation the purpose of the whole thing was to build a foundation and the building of the foundation is whatever I tell you to do do it ouch and then whatever comes not good I'm Foreman I'm gonna tell you something you're attending Southwest this week either here physically or on television this week that's what you're doing you're building the foundation so what do you say the foundation was whatever I tell you to do do it that's the foundation quit wondering how strong your faith is or whether you have the authority to build the foundation it's not no I'm not here's where I want to go today it's not the strength of faith it's the length of faith so because we get focused on the size thing well they had no faith how is it you have little faith and great faith so we're looking at the size of our faith and we're and we compare ourselves to somebody else and say I don't have enough faith my faith is not as strong as theirs when it's not the strength of faith it's the length of faith pastor George has been talking about it for the past few weeks in a different package called Bulldog faith when Jesus rebuked the disciples in the storm on the Sea of Galilee he said to them how is it you have no faith well we know they have faith because the Bible says every man has been given the measure of faith they must have not have developed that then Gregg no that's not the answer no faith is the evidence is no faith is in evidence right he said it how is it you have no faith let's set the scenario what happened right there in the boat storm we're gonna perish remember the story they wake him up he says how is it you have no faith he had expected them to do something so no faith is an evidence by their action they have faith they just have it used it so no faith is an evidence because they never tried to use it they didn't even try so I would submit this to you you have faith would you agree how do you know hmm you use it that's how you know you have faith the word says you have faith right you've been given the measure of faith yes you were how many saved people in the room how many saved people they are watching us raise your hand who didn't raise their hand in the room a guy put his hand down real quick I will listen to the instructions more clearly [Laughter] let me submit to you this when you accepted Jesus Christ as your Savior faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of Christ when you accepted him you heard the word taught something went off in you you believed what did you believe when you got saved Jesus Jesus what he died for your sins what else did you believe come on guys you got no are you sure you're saved I don't know maybe God loved you that's why you're saved yes there's a aspect of that how do you know you're saved maybe you're not saved I don't know maybe you're not maybe you need to think about this you're saved because whoever believes in his heart and confesses with his mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord right is saved yes it's not something you had here it's something you heard the word and something sparked in you and you I believe that I want that yeah and you confessed him you did something based upon what he told you to do how many of you took the walk you don't have to take the walk I took the walk you know the walk when they sing that just as I am without one plea and you do the walk now if you didn't do the walk don't get condemned you still saved he can save you back there and save you up here listen I did the walk a lot I was a frequent flyer i padded the stats of a lot of evangelists we had 13 saved one boy 12 times and and then one other guy forgive me forgive me but the moment you believed do you use your faith to get saved let me tell you something you operated in great faith you weren't operating in little faith oh if you just had the little faith that took to get saved no it was great faith so you have if you're born again you've already operated in great faith so you have great faith after you got saved how many of you he promised to fill you with the Holy Spirit right how many of you have been filled with the Holy Spirit since that time you did that based upon faith some people off Terry didn't Harry did they see somebody just got saved speak with other tongues well that's not fair I've been believing that for that for a decade well that's your problem he's here he's in you now you've just not released him to pray through you it's it some people have different anointings it's the easiest thing in the world for me to get somebody filled with the Holy Spirit and speaking in tongues I don't know I just have an anointing for that my wife michelle has an anointing for for laying on of hands and sick yeah I believe it I'm going to change my confession caught myself my kids always would go to mom not to me well let me pray for you I'd go in there they'd be Fernet with fever not feeling well let me pray for you could you get mom like man that's wrong we're pastoring in California and a guy his name is Tom he's in heaven today Tom was battling prostate cancer I prayed for him up front in the healing line he goes pastor Greg I love you could could you have Michelle pray for me ya heathen and guess what had Michelle pray for him and his PPS whatever numbers and everything BAM the next day totally totally well I just worked with where he was at I did preach him a sermon and say you know I'm the head of the ministry here another you know I just worked with where was that yeah if you want her to pray let's go have her pray come on now right hook up with where their faith is so it's the easiest thing the words have always been the easiest thing in the world for me to get somebody filled with the Holy Spirit because you I'm teaching you that you already have the Holy Ghost on the inside of you you've never by faith released him to pray through you it'll be his words and your mouth and the same way you got saved is the same way you pray in the Holy Spirit by faith you step out I call it swing I heard this I think mark Hankins first said it it's funny swinging out of our hell on a corn stock and spitting in the devil's eye right you just you just swing out there well if I do that if I dance and run I'll be in the flesh well of course you're in the flesh you're not gonna die your flesh is gonna run your flesh is gonna laugh well I'm not gonna laugh unless it's the Holy Ghost well you start and it'll be the Holy Ghost whatever he tells you to do do it when Peter step down in the water he stepped out on the word will he got you know what happened in the result of that don't you he bout drowned no he took his eyes off Jesus but Jesus never took his eyes off Peter you may step out there and feel like you're drowning but he's never taken his eyes off you he says I got this I got this I got this [Music] come on now easiest thing in the world to speak in tongues you do it the same way you go you gotta save you out of your spirit you'll sense the whole I see I sense him anybody in here you've never been filled with the Holy Spirit speaking in tongues come on be bold anybody in here and you've wanted that back there your hands are up is that you you serious are you just goofing around with me I saw a couple hands is that true all right here it is father I thank you that I'm filled with the Holy Spirit and that you have given me the Holy Spirit to dwell in me to pray through me and now by faith same face that saved me by faith I'm gonna pray in the Holy Ghost you ready receive the Holy Spirit everybody in the room to fill the Holy Spirit pray in the spirit first thing those of you that want to be filled just by faith now pray in the Holy Ghost come on pray in the Holy Ghost if you need somebody to lay hands on you they will Paul laid hands on people they were they were filled with the Holy Ghost come on pray in the spirit for a second can I brush it cadet for that I'm on tour and I was at that pray and the Holy Ghost come on you can do this it's easy glory to God thank you Jesus glory to God Thank You Holy Spirit you're everything that Jesus promised you would be in so much more we praise you we thank you we magnify you come on those of you watching right there in your living room wherever you're at by your computer pray and the Holy Ghost receive the Holy Spirit now speak in other tongues in the name of Jesus glory to God glory to God glory to God Thank You fun Thank You fun thank you Father thank you for did you did you pray in the spirit wave at me did you pray in the spirit over there yes yes [Applause] not hard you just experienced a great faith I'll go ahead and get ahead of myself great faith is finishing faith it's the length of faith there's a timeline to faith here's the deal when Peter stepped out on the water that night on the boat what did Jesus say to him now this is very dangerous and because you've requested it Peter I'll allow you to but the rest of you if you would please secure your life vest and move to the center of the boat he didn't say that do you remember when they lowered the man through the roof that was his house and Capernaum they lowered the man through the roof it says the power of God was present to heal them all only one guy got healed the power of God was present to heal them all I submit that night because of what Jesus said he said if Lord if that's you Peter set the conditions I always look to see who sets the conditions to something Peter set the conditions by his mouth if that's you Peter knew who he was didn't he you are the son of God flesh and blood didn't reveal this to you so he knows who he is if that's you tell me to come out there bid me to come jesus said now the rest of you stay in the boat but Peter no he said come I submit that the power God was present for all 12 of them to walk on water only one had the courage to get wet when is popping in a church service like in just a few minutes when it's popping in here and the anointings in this room and healing is flowing through this place and people are dancing and shouting and running and laughing the power of God is present for you all you have to do is step out of the boat so jesus said to him he began to get scared right took his eyes off Jesus and he began to sink and Jesus said o you of little faith now he didn't say no faith why would he say little faith here that he said no faith when they didn't use it at all this time he stepped out and started but didn't finish so I see evidence of starting faith but I didn't finish it so it's little faith no condemnation there the starting point and doing nothing is no faith because there's no evidence whoever started Jesus told us whatever I tell you to do he told Peter come out on the waves so he started but he didn't finish it and so he had little faith there's evidence of a little bit you started something we have a lot of people in the body of Christ today that have started and for whatever reason didn't finish and that goes to what pastor George has been talking about bold on faith I have a bulldog in my house Old English bulldog her name is faith now I don't collar faith because we have friends and family that their daughter's name faith and I didn't want to name this less than beautiful appearance creature after their daughter we named our wrinkly ugly dog after your daughter so I was gonna go with the Greek version of her name and I thought that's not a good one for a puppy dog and so I named her the Hebrew version of that but we call her Coco for short because of Coco Chanel that's her favorite perfume when she takes it back and it just fits with that wrinkly face but I told the kids when you're playing with her when you're playing tug of war with her when you're messing around with her you cannot let her win and we've made that a rule in the house you can't I don't care if you have to do it for an hour until she gets so winded that she gives up but you met have to make her give up because she's a bulldog she's gonna win and so I tell the kids do not play tug-of-war with her unless you're gonna win you have to win because I need you to be the Alpha and not subservient term she's a bulldog I mean she tries to boss everybody and everything around in that house you when you feed her you ought to watch her and will not stop until everything is gone she has an attitude about her and aggressiveness about her here's the thing Peter stepped out he sank in little faith he started but didn't finish the length of faith is the key there's a time line to faith whatever I tell you to do do it the Centurion had finishing faith in Capernaum member that he recognized the authority he stood on what Jesus said even though he got a bad report about it he stood there he he stayed with it he stayed with it he stayed with it the woman he's the one of the ones that told he had great faith the other one was the syrophoenician woman remember that she got called a dog Jesus wouldn't call somebody dog dog got in there I don't know who said it but somebody said it right she stayed with it well even dogs get crumbs she would not let go of the blessing and Jesus said great faith because it was finishing faith once again it's not the strength of your faith get your focus off of that it's the length of it I'm gonna start and I'm gonna finish set your jaw set your feet I'm gonna finish this thing what God has called me to do have must come to pass it has to happen how many of you have a call of God on your life you're standing on a promise and you've backed it up with the word yes then it must come to pass if he said it it has to happen it has to happen in your church it has to happen in your relationship it has to happen in your family it has to happen in your body it has to happen in your finances it must come to pass and I'm not gonna let go no matter what I will not let go with this that's the length of faith if I'm still confessing and saying the same thing and Jesus comes back well then I'm gonna say it on the way up well what if it never happens that's out of my mind it's going to happen it has to happen listen every day that you take that insulin you take it to the glory of God knowing that there's coming a day when you take your insulin there's coming today I will not take this and you do it in faith you don't get condemned about oh I'm gonna take that insulin today I guess I don't know I guess I didn't listen to the tape enough times you see what I mean you've just gotten on the hamster wheel and you're chasing yourself on that hamster wheel my sister had a hamster for a little while in our house something happened to it I cannot cannot recall on advice of counsel I plead the fifth it was a long it was a long time ago good pastor George that thing would just be all night long in the room next to me I just confessed it didn't I just made a my sister's watching I repent for what I [Music] it was quick go with God you'll have it you'll have that hipster in heaven it just was relentless that hamster at night and it's one of those creatures of that I'm not real fond of just saying I used to ask my parents were a snake well I was gonna get you'll let them play together they didn't give me they didn't give me a snake I had one of our children asked for a snake I'm like we got a hamster I've got to get back to work Centurion had had finishing faith so therefore it was great faith see you finished when you got saved how many of you got partially saved well I'm gonna know the moment you were saved the moment he came into you you were completely totally saved complete now you had to grow up but you were complete you realize I have the same fingers I had back in 1960 something when my mother checked to see if they were all there and all my toes I have the same ones everything is the same hair color is different but everything else is the same when you were born again scripture tells you collages you were complete in him so quit thinking you're deficient in something when you realize the greater one lives on the inside of me I just need to begin to do what he said do and if I'll do what he said do I'm a person of great faith that's the difference between brother Copeland and most of the rest of us he does what the word says well if the word says tithe well if the word says this this if the word says that that and I hear him say that all the time that's what he says over himself well we found it in the word will that bless God that's what we're gonna do in this house I was watching Jeremy Pearson's preach this morning about the legacy a household of faith he's worn that same principle whatever the word says that's what we do in this house our house is different I tell my kids all time we're different than the other people well they get to do that will they get to play that will they get to go to that movie good for them but that's not who we are one time to guess so frustrating my son telling me well so as host dad bought him this card so that those that bought them that car and finally I just looked at and said well they love their children more than I love me he just looked at me like yeah oh yeah that daddy I know that for a fact he loves he loves this son more than I love you because that's basically what you're saying to me your accusation is saying I don't love you as much as now let me submit to this to you do we do that with our Heavenly Father will you bless sister peacock at church and if you knew what I knew Lord about her [Laughter] why did you bless mr. peacock I've been I've been believing and confessing and I read my book and I listened to my tapes and I I gave my confession cards and come on and basically you're saying to the father you loved them more than you love me how bad is that well it has nothing to do with that it's about finishing it's about finishing it Jesus did a whole lot of teaching on this thing so once again it's not the strength of your faith get thee get that off of you the strength of your faith it's the length of your faith finish you ready for this let me help you you ready for a breakthrough finish the last instruction you received finish the last instruction you received because I would submit this that that's where you got off course you received an instruction you either never started it or you started it and then deviated from it go back there to that place and finish the last instruction you received and watch the results well I got quiet again didn't it if you'll do it are you ready if you'll do it you'll have great faith on the first try finish the last instruction received you do that you'll have great faith go to Luke chapter 17 we'll wrap this up you know okay today you good Luke chapter 17 because you've done this you've probably prayed this and the Apostles said to the Lord increase our faith now Jesus goes off on one of his stories when they did that so the Lord said if you have faith as a mustard seed you can say to this mulberry tree be pulled up by the roots be planted in the sea and it would obey you and which of you having a servant plowing or tending sheep will say to him when he's come in from the field come at once sit down to eat but will he not rather say to him prepare something for my supper and gird yourself and serve me till I've eaten the drunk and afterward you will eat and drink does he think that that servant because he did the things that were commanded him I think not so likewise when you have done all those things that are underlying this so likewise when you have done all those things which you are commanded say we are unprofitable servants we have done what was our duty to do notice this he said mustard seed small so we're not focused on the size of the seed it's what I commanded you to do do what you were told to do it's finish what you started finish what I said finish the instructions I gave you and when you do you'll have great faith there's a correlation in the increase of our faith and what you do my goodness I just skipped right over the top of you didn't it there's a correlation and the increase of our faith in what you do stay with it a mustard plant is very hard to get rid of in the wild if you cut it down it grows back and it grows back bigger and stronger every time you cut the thing down its bulldog it's a bulldog plant don't stop determine to finish this race determined to do what he called you to do and I will tell you this you have great faith if you'll finish you'll have great great faith you got something on this come on up pasture and that was what was that I think it's before we actually roll the open and what was the key word that gave you about faith Fenderson predation to members you have to say it together you have to when you read that in Matthew 7 that was really the leading of the Lord you know without realizing it at the time but Matthew 7 he Gregg just read everyone who hears these words and acts upon them bills so if it was it's full hamster bless his heart so while things and God are cyclical they're not cyclical this way they're cyclical this way they build ok so they they're always in motion and yet it comes back around so he who hears and responds is building here respond you're building and so while while I just love what you said about faith being by its length meaning it doesn't mean time length in this sense of this many minutes or days or weeks or whatever it's a start to finish commitment but but there are times that you have to respond and then you hear it again that's where the repetition comes in you hear respond here respond and all the while your faith is taking and moving you along your faith is building your faith is moving you in this cycle it it receives believe receives Belize receives until it gets the prize that it's looking for and believing for I remember brother Copeland you guys shared a testimony that he said look how far you've come yes it's dead right instead of looking at where you're at and thinking we haven't gotten anywhere look how far we've come so we see the faith of Abraham then what we and maybe this the Lord let me come back around to this and Romans for ones when he says it's okay for me to teach this class so that is what he did he declared the end from the beginning and that's how you know how long the faith walk is when I when I see what I've declared the end to be and so sometimes it can be as simple a response is say it Amen that's right or lining your confession up instead of saying I don't ever it always and in a negative sense you begin to talk and respond and just saying what he says as your own words making his words your words is response respond to it responded to it by taking it say it believe it receive it say it believe it receive it it's mine it's not a habit I have it now and or praise God praising God president God is a response because that praising is you praise God for what you see that he's given you you're taking it you're responding to it and it's becoming more and more and more your own so the things then that are in the spirit good call Ana min or you know that you are drawing them into the natural till you see it well did God ever do that what we see in Genesis 1 where he said let there be light light was but we also see it in Genesis chapter 3 where he spoke about the coming Messiah and it was several thousand years later and he said it in Genesis three four five six seven eight nine ten and Exodus and Leviticus and numbers and Deuteronomy and as he kill and Isaiah okay Jeremiah always said the end from the beginning and every one of those was working towards continuing revelation well the more we cooperate with faith the more we respond to what we hear more revelation comes more revelation comes and you respond to that revelation then you respond to that understanding and then out of all those little responses they'll become a moment sometimes it takes a few moments to get to that place where there is a big action maybe it's laying that insulin down or whatever it might be and but you know and God God gives you that insight you know it there's not a question mark because you've been responding just bonding responding you know his voice you know his voice and so you step out yeah hey that was a good word this morning thank you sir we're going Michelle is going to talk to them I'm gonna run back there and then we'll be back but past the gorge in just a moment if you want to be in ministry this is the place to come because it's not just an intellectual learning about the Bible it's spiritual impartation and you are receiving from generals of the faith of their lifelong experience and there's nothing like it you better preach what you learn here praise God listen I'm telling here you start out you listen to it and you listen to it until it comes out of your mouth or in a car but when it comes out of your mouth you glory to God and you'll begin to expand and I'll hear you preach and learn something from you [Applause] it's more than what I expected III know so much more about my calling what I'm supposed to do just just I know so much more about the things of God and I'm more sensitive to the spirit and everything everything a ministry and about God is just so much more than what I could have expected I was actually just really feeling led to go to Bible College but I didn't really know where and I'll just kind of praying about it and Kenneth Copeland's name kept like coming up in my spirit and coming up in my spirit I'm like why doesn't have a school I'm and then my mom called and she's like oh hey by the way Kenneth Copeland's starting a Bible College and I knew like instantly like this is where I'm supposed to be this is where like I have to go and even though like it seemed impossible to me just like the reality of it I was like I don't know how this is gonna work but where God guides he provides and so I just believed like I just buckle down and really just put my faith to work believing for tuition to be paid in full and coming and so before I even got here and just like pair praying for like a job to be lined up in housing and just trusted God to supply all that and then like when I got my acceptance letter within an hour and a half I got a phone call with a job and housing lined up and within a month I had both years of school paid for but it was amazing [Music] this is kind of a couple ministry you're on the property and there are endless amount of opportunities for myself I've been involved with creative media so that's like making videos and social media graphics I've been very involved with that and you get a lot of hands-on experience and you're gonna get what you put in so put in all you got and they're gonna do the same for you from anything that you want to be involved with media teaching they have everything that you could ever want to do in ministry and they give you the time and the training to to really get a firm grasp on what what opportunities are I would say that this is an excellent opportunity and you need to come with the mindset that you're coming to learn from Jesus and to not be moved by anything except by the Word of God and it has been an incredible opportunity to actually get revelation that I didn't have before so you're gonna leave here knowing what you need to know to go out into the world and do your mission well glory to God good morning faith family so excited to conventions every year and that they get greater and greater and greater and they should they really should because these conventions are not just stand-alone events that we have but they've been building for a long time this is our 39th convention here in Fort Worth we're headed to the big 40 convention next year and with every convention that we have the anointing gets stronger the presence of God gets thicker the Word of God that's delivered its building one message on top of another and it's been building for a long time and this convention is going to be an explosive convention there are there are things that we are going to see that we have not seen before there are things that we're delving into in the Word of God that we've not heard from before and I just believe that this is going to be a time where every one of our lives are going to change and I have expectation for myself I'm thinking about myself personally for this meeting then I plan to go and sit under that word and just just bask in it and let it let it speak to me let it change me let it motivate me let it bring things into my life I'm fully expecting correction don't you love correction oh yeah I'm fully expecting direction I'm fully expecting the Lord to show us things about this ministry our church our lives individually that we have not seen and that a veil over some things is going to be uncovered there's going to be a veil that will be pulled back and so that's why it's so important that as we attend these services and attend this convention that we really do get into a place where we have an expectation from heaven the greatest expectation that Kenneth Copeland ministries has ever had we are going to see it happen this coming week tomorrow it begins tomorrow really starts today actually for those of you who are here from out of town you are here for the convention again we welcome you we're so glad that you here give them a wonderful hand if you would please welcome welcome welcome [Applause] that you took the time to come out here this morning some of you are going to come back next Sunday that's the real test do they come back next Sunday and you know they really do they really do come back next Sunday but we're so glad that you're here and so glad that you're on this property you know this is a place where love is king and this is also a place where we're seeing the revival capital of the world being built and grow and develop and we're out here every day I mean we're out here every day working and doing the work of the Lord but many of you have come to be in this place and I know that you probably sensed an anointing when you came on the property there's something about being here and none of us none of us ever take for granted the importance of why God has called Kenneth and Gloria to do what they've been called to do and so we are expecting are you expecting this week you have high expectation this week well I want to share something with you in this offering today and turn to Psalm 31 if you would please some 31 and I'll begin with a word that I've been meditating on over the last I don't know three or four weeks the Lord first spoke it to me some weeks ago and he said this to me and we'll put it up on the screen he said I have a massive surplus of wealth laid up for my people they have no idea just how massive it really is I want them to receive it all now that's a word that's just working on the inside of me there's I know there's there's a lot more to that but just the fact that he said this to me I've got a massive supply surplus a massive surplus of wealth laid up for my people they have no idea just how massive it really is the scope of how big this is he said I want them to receive it all you know when the Lord first started talking to me about that word that particular word I just took some time to begin to what is that all about what is it that he wants us to see what is it that he wants us to experience in this this massive surplus of wealth so these are just a few of the scriptures and a couple of things that I found out about this in some 3119 in the King James it says oh how good how great is thy goodness which thou has laid up for them that fear thee which thou has wrought for them that trust in me before the sons of men the NIV translation says how great is your goodness which you have stored up for those who fear you which you bestow in the sight of men on those who take refuge in you how great is His goodness how great is that goodness and the definition of the word goodness here in the Hebrew it is good in the widest sense of the word good as far as good can go the depths the height the breadth the length of the goodness of God I don't think we have seen yet the fullness of the goodness that God wants to pour out on us it really takes us receiving it so you have to make a decision in that that I'm receiving the goodness of God say I am receiving the goodness of God it means good in the widest sense of the word it also means goods good things in prosperity goods good things in prosperity so you could really say it this way how great is your prosperity how great are your good things which you have stored up for those who fear you who honor you how many of us honor the Lord today we honor him we honor him who which you bestow or you give to in the sight of men people will see you prosper they'll see you prosper and they'll come to you and they'll say what are you doing what are you doing how are you doing this how is this taking place and you can tell them and you can begin to walk through scriptures with them and you can talk to them about tithing and sowing and reaping abundant harvest did you know this is the year of the abundant harvest wait'll you go downtown why do you go downtown and look in the book table area there is a wheat harvest down there literally literally I've seen some of the sketches of it and then they sent me some video of it little clips from it and I thought I looked at that I thought we we are touching Disney here this is really something there are three combines in this booth where you can get your picture taken there's a there's a huge banner of this behind you and and we're getting the word out there it's abundant harvest time [Applause] so how great is the goodness of God which he has though this is important he stored it up it's laid up for us now turn quickly if you would to Ephesians turn to Ephesians chapter 3 if he's in his three and verse 20 the Lord said I've got a massive surplus of wealth laid up for my people say I take it he will he will bestow that upon people who know what to do with it who know how to handle wealth I've been working on a series that Gloria and I are going to be taping here very soon called how to handle wealth scripturally biblically how do you prepare for the wealth that is coming in there's the wealth of the wicked but then there's the wealth of the righteous and what do the wealth of the righteous do with that that comes into them they my motivation for accumulation is distribution that's what we do with it so the Lord says I've got a massive surplus of wealth laid up for my people they have no idea just how massive it really is so I I've just been sitting in thinking about the massivity I think I just made a word of math civility of how great His goodness is and how good he wants to be to us it says in Ephesians 3:20 I'll read it from King James first and now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think according to the power that works in us unto Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages world without end amen in the amplified translation of Ephesians 3:20 now to him who by an in consequence of the action of his power that is at work within us the word is working in us I said the word is working in this the word is working in you right now come on now the word is working in us well the power that is at work in us is able to carry out his purpose and do super abundantly that's far over and above that's super far over and above say it far over and above do it like this far over and above super abundantly far over and above all that we dare ask or think infinitely beyond our highest prayers desires thoughts hopes and dreams in the NIV translation now to him who is able to do immeasurably more immeasurably no measure there's no way to measure it we are blessed beyond measure then we ask or imagine I like the message translation it says he does far more than you could ever imagine or guess or request in your wildest dreams wildest dreams so it seems to me that we need to have some wild dreams I'm believing for some wild dreams wake up in the morning after a wild dream and reach for my book and write it down the Lord the look actually there was a while there I was I had dreams I was having continued dreams and I started writing them down in a book I need to have more dreams need to stir that back up again but I had what I had a dream many years ago about this place and I walked into one of the rooms here on the property and I felt like I walked into a room that I was not supposed to be in I didn't belong and and there were these two eight-foot tables that were put together in a very long scroll of paper that was down there and I stepped up to it and I saw architectural plans his architectural plans architectural plans of this place buildings there was a prosperity building there was a healing and miracle building and I wrote all of this down on this piece of paper now that's that's some wild kind of dream that's a wild dream so I've been and I'm not talking about pizza dreams I'm talking about Holy Ghost Holy Ghost inspired dreams that come down from heaven and paint a picture for you of how good God wants to be to you I've been around here since 1976 that's when I first came and this ministry had 12 people on staff and I've looked at what the Lord has done over all of these years and how they I mean we weren't even on radio at the time we were just going on radio at that time and I've been here through although those years watching us watching the meetings grow and watching us go on weekly television than on daily television and then the network 24/7 and seen this continue to grow and grow and grow and I just keep getting this word from the Lord you ain't seen nothing yet [Applause] and that goes for you say that goes for me that happens to me all the time let me read two words from brother Copeland then will receive the offering this one was November the 10th of 2011 the Lord said to him I have a great store house much more has been stored up in the storehouse of riches beyond your wildest dream wild dreams maybe that's the title of this offering today wild dreams beyond your wildest dream that I've laid up for you before the foundation of the world much more is stored up there than what the church has ever called for I've never held back on the church says the Lord and the god of plenty I've made it available to you I put it in my word I gave you promise and stood behind it with the blood the precious blood of your Savior but there's been a backwardness in my people about laying hold of the things that I've provided for you but I'll say this there's a people in the land there's a people in the land there's the people around the world there's the people strong and mighty and growing much stronger and mightier and more bold to lay hold and put their claim of faith on the things that I've laid up for you and it thrills me saith the Lord because it's been yours all the time that's us there's a storehouse there's a storehouse and he's saying here in this word that we need to we can't be backward about this he said I want my people to lay hold of the things I want them to be more bold to lay hold say bold to lay hold bow to lay hold because it's been ours all this time then this other word from brother Copeland this was April 25th of 2011 don't you remember in my word that it says eye has not seen neither no ear heard neither has entered into the heart of man what I have in store for those who love me what I have in store there's a storehouse there's a storehouse remember my plan for all people for all time was the Garden of Eden my plan was that the garden should have been the worst condition people would ever have seen because it was all good from there on now listen to this phrase this is big it is my desire to prosper you beyond human reason [Music] that's what the Lord is saying to us it is my desire to prosper you beyond human reason he said human reasoning is based on facts heaven's reasoning is based on the future of God's dreams he knows the beginning from the end in the end is stunning it's my desire the Lord says to prosper you beyond human reason to get on over into the super natural super abundant place and we do that we do that through our giving we saw our seed we give our time and then the play the multiplication takes place and the windows of heaven are open over us in the blessing is pouring out so as we give today and as we give all this week into this great convention we are sowing into good ground did you know this is good ground did you know this is rich fertile soil did you know that it produces mighty things for the kingdom of God well the Lord says I have a massive surplus of wealth laid up for my people and it is my desire to prosper you beyond human reasons they all receive that praise God praise God us today father in the name of Jesus we come before you and honor you and thank you and I'm asking Lord for articulation from heaven what do you want to say how do you want it said what are things that I had not even considered that you want to bring out in this message what are the illustrations what are the the the scriptures what are the things that you desire to bring forth to your people and father we cooperate with the Holy Spirit in this we cooperate with the Holy Spirit in everything that we do and we honor you father for helping us and guiding us and directing us in this word that you have for us we thank you for this and thank you for the victory that we have in Christ Jesus and everyone said amen open your Bibles please to first John chapter 5 first John chapter 5 what have we been talking about bulldog face they had a little stronger bulldog faith first John 5 this is a foundation scripture that we're using for this this series of messages that we're doing the Lord has led me to to bring this back to us as a reminder to remind us what it takes to stand in faith to believe God for the things that we're believing God for first John 5:4 it says for whatsoever is born of God overcomes the world and this is the victory that overcomes the world even our faith this is the victory that overcomes the world even our faith just a little synopsis of what we've been talking about been listening to this but years ago 2002 Terry and I really faced some difficult times we we lived in five different places that year we moved four times pressure was on and it was it really got to the place where it was extremely discouraging to us and really it got to that place we had moved from one house to an apartment then to an apartment to another rent house and we had to move out of the rent house because it was a bad rent house bad rent house that was not good then so what we did we had to move it was like we decided all of a sudden because the septic system there was no septic system they just bigger had a big tank under the ground and the fumes and all of that was coming up into the house itself so we we had to evacuate on one night and we moved in with Kenneth and Lauria they were gone on a meeting somewhere and all of a sudden they came home and somebody's been in their pantry somebody was in their refrigerator somebody's in their bedroom no he didn't stay in their bedroom in guest bedroom thank you but it was it was very discouraging and we we had we were in the process of purchasing and purchasing a house but it was going to take some time to renovate because we were doing it all with cash and so the the the devil's plan in all of this whatever it is is to drain you through discouragement through disappointment through things which are seemingly failures and if he can get you off of the word and focused on him and focused on what what might be called a failure then he's got you he will drain you he will sift you he will he will get you into the place where mark four says he comes immediately to steal the word that's why it's so important that as we as we finish up this convention coming up and we all go home those of you who are traveling here you head back home you you better have that word with you and carry it with you because the first thing devil is going to try to do is steal that word from you and we have to come to a place in this bulldog faith where he does not do that we bite down on the word and we don't let go and the revelations that you've received and the things that you've learned from him you just bite down on it and you refuse to give up you've refused to quit you refuse to throw in the towel and when we were facing that time I was really I was really down about it we're living with our in-laws and there's no house in sight and I was just beating myself up over it and I sat down in the little room that we were in nice room that we were in over at the Copeland's and there was a desk there had my Bible notebook and there was a little pad with a bumblebee on it little cartoon bumblebee he's smiling at me I was so thankful for that encouragement but anyway that was the pad that I began to write some things down on because the first thing the Lord said to me he didn't take my hand and Pat it like this he didn't say Oh George it's gonna be all right you know what he said to me he said I want you to get more aggressive about your faith I want you to get more aggressive about your faith that's what he said to me but what it did for me it was it launched me into this whole study of Bulldog faith I began to write down scriptures I began to write down thoughts and ideas in the fact that Bulldog faith is aggressive that's what that faith is its aggressive there's an aggressiveness about faith it's not an aggressiveness against people we're talking about powers and principalities and things and the word you get you get aggressive about the word I am standing on the word I am believing this word I am trusting this word so the Lord says I want you to get more aggressive about your faith and he really took me kind of into a half a halftime lecture that you would get in a locker room and he started asking me this series of questions and I really I began to see some things from it and he just basically showed me that this this is the plan of the devil to steal to kill to destroy and what we have to do is stand up to that and refuse to be stolen from to be destruction in our lives and refuse to be killed but to stand firm and the stand strong and to get aggressive about our faith he wants us to be aggressive about our faith the message that I preached to you in the offering today he wants us to get aggressive about taking hold of that even in that word that he gave he says I've got a storehouse but he said let me go back to that I can quote exactly what he said here about this he said much more has been stored up in the storehouse of riches beyond your wildest dream that I've laid up for you before the foundation of the world much more is stored up there than what the church has ever called for so that tells me there are some things in heaven that need to come down to earth that we need to call in he said I have never held back on the church I've made it available to you but there's been a backwardness in my people about laying hold of the things that I provided for you there's been a backwardness but then he said there are people in the land there's a people that are around the world that are strong and mighty and growing stronger and mightier and more bold to lay hold and to put their claim of faith on the things that I have laid up for them and it thrills me it thrills him when we get aggressive about his word when you take a word from God and stand on it tenaciously and walk it out walk it out to victory and that's why so many times when people are waiting on things and they're believing for something in time is going by and it's getting longer and longer and longer like I talked to you about last week time is your enemy it can be your enemy if you choose to utilize that time wrongly whatever time it's taking to get to that answer to get to the desired result you have to choose what you're going to do during that time you've got to choose if you're going to be strong in faith you've got to choose if you're going to stand there and just declare the Word of God you have to use those times to encourage yourself in the word to concurred your self in the Lord and refuse to get beat up refuse the devil tool tool I refuse the lies of the devil and so this is what and the process that it took well here's really the process we had purchased a house and the house needed to be renovated but we were doing it with cash well we moved out of the Copeland's house in six weeks and then moved into a rent house and we were in that rent house for the next five years for the next five years it took five years in cash to renovate the house going to the bank to us was not an option this is the way that the Lord told us to do it and there were times in that house that not that we would just have to tell that the guys that we're working on it pack up leave go to another job we'll call you when we're ready and the money would come in we start back up again but you know the more we were going there was a memo mentum of faith that took place do you know there is a momentum of faith the more you act on the word and the more you act on your faith there's a momentum and it gets bigger and bigger and bigger and the mountain before you get smaller and smaller and smaller it seems like the impossibilities in your lives are no longer an impossibility and the closer we got to finishing that house it just got strong wheat we hit a stride we hit a momentum but we had to learn how to utilize our time wisely confess the word stand on the word do not get down do not get courage do not throw throw out the towel and quit throw in the towel and quit but we had to keep on going and the Lord spoke to us and he said now the house wasn't totally finished there were still things in it but it was livable and the Lord said take the land take possession so we moved in we moved into the house and for a while we were opening our doors by sticking our hand through the hole and pulling it shut door handles it wasn't completed it wasn't finished but we kept going with it we kept going with it and I'm telling you as a result of all of that our faith has been built it's stronger than it's ever been before and it's getting stronger and stronger so I know what to do with time what do you do between the Amen of the prayer and there it is you stand in faith with a bulldog faith you bite down on that answer and do not let go of it I've seen the faithfulness of God over and over and over again I've seen the faithfulness of God in Terry and I in our lives together I've seen the faithfulness of God in this ministry I've seen us go through all kinds of things being here 43 years I've seen a lot of things in the ministry I've seen a lot of challenges take place but they're saying you've heard glory and I talked about the six million dollar deficit that we went through back in 1989 and we just stood we believed and I'm telling you the Lord was faithful to us what should have taken what they were saying was it would take it would take 18 months to two years to recover if you recover from that and we completely recovered from it in six months six months there is a supernatural acceleration that is attached to Bulldog faith things do happen faster things do happen quicker and it's it's all about it's all about a momentum it's all about this this momentum because you know if it's like the snowball a fig you take a snowball at the top of a snowy mountain and you put push that down and it starts to roll and roll and roll and that things get it gets faster and faster and faster and faster you use your faith you exercise Bulldog faith and you will see think things will happen they will happen faster and faster and faster I love the word that the Lord gave to us a few years ago about this ministry that will get more done in one year than we have in 20 that's acceleration that's supernatural acceleration that's just like when geez when when the disciples were crossing over the the gal of the Sea of Galilee the storm came up they feared and Jesus walked out to the water and the moment he stepped on board they were at the shore they were only halfway it's about six miles across they were in the middle they were right in the middle and Jesus stepped on the boat and they were on the shore that's supernatural accelerants celebration that's things those are things going faster than what what is humanly possible for things to go faster but that's living in the supernatural that's what this is all about and this is the exercise of our faith I'm saying to you right now if you will stand and believe and and take the word and and continually just put it down on the inside and confess it you will begin to see things happen faster and faster and faster it may seem like a long a long time right now but this is the training period it's the training period and I'm not saying it was not God that was drawing that out we were just learning things about faith in the development of our faith and we finally got to that place and even to this day I will walk around our house on a Saturday when I'm preparing for church I'll walk around the house and I'll just begin to God give God praise to like I said it's like a bulldog that bites down on a bone we bite down on the word and we do not let go server the last few weeks we've talked about some things I'll just summarize Bulldog faith is aggressive it attacks the problem with God's Word you you take the word and run headlong into that just like David ran headlong into Goliath he knew yes they meant he knew he knew the Covenant that he had with God and he went headlong into that that situation what we talked about bulldog faith being aggressive bulldog faith is persistent it's persistent now if you're prone to being stubborn with people transfer that over on to standing in faith turn that over to standing in faith and being persistent and what persistence does in faith it sustains the attack until all resistance is broken and the desired result is achieved persistence wears down resistance persistence where that wears down the resistance of the devil he'll try to talk to you he'll try to speak to you who try to say things to you you're not going to make it this is not going to work you're never going to be debt-free this that and the other he'll try to talk to you about that and you need to actually out talk him you need you need to wear him that you need to become so obnoxious to the devil [Applause] that he just can't stand to be around you anymore because everything that's coming out of your mouth he heard it from Jesus and Jesus is the one who defeated him amen so Bulldog faith is persistent it sustains the attack and that's what you do that's what you do when you're facing time on this kind of thing you're believing God for something there's the end result the clock is ticking so what are we doing we're persistent in our stand it sustains the attack until all the resistance is broken and the desired result is achieved what I want to talk to you about today is Bulldog faith is determined both on faith is determined let's talk about determination for just a moment and when I talk about this I'm not talking about just a word that you kind of drum up on the inside but all of this has to be backed with the Word of God your determination has to come out of his word for whatever you're believing for whatever you're standing for whatever it is that you're reaching out in faith it has to be it has to be rooted in the Word of God but there is a spiritual determination that people can have where this word is concerned when I went to oru that's where I met Terry Copeland and Terry Copelan introduced me to the teachings of her dad changed my life still does but but as I got to know Kenneth a little bit he long story short he sent me what after Terry and I got engaged he sent me all of his tapes cassette tapes cassette tapes they're about that big there which is funny because on the 1440 video that we're showing for the conference that they show a cassette tape up there I'm actually wondering do our kids really know what cassette tapes are anyway he sent me every every message that he had I'm sure that now that I'm engaged to his daughter he needs to onboard me as quickly as possible but I had a decision to make am I gonna ignore this man or I'm am I gonna listen and what I did was I absolutely immersed myself I became determined in the Word of God what I heard was setting me free because that some of the things that I had heard after I first got saved coming from the Northeast you know people were talking about some of the traditions of man that it was God's will for you to be sick it's God's will for you to be going through this it's God's will for you to be poor all of that all of that had to be I had had to go through detox where all of that was concerned but it didn't take long it did not take long for me I didn't fight it what I was hearing was changing my whole thinking my thinking my mind was being transformed by the Word of God that I was hearing and all that to say I became determined in the word determined in the word determined to hear it take it apply it and walk it out to victory I became very very determined and the thing about it is that through all of these years all of these years I have not lost that determination if anything it's gotten stronger that determination that I have to be able to hear from God to be able to walk on his word to be able to believe the things that he says on his word it's stronger than it ever has before I haven't pulled back I've gone forward I've moved forward and that's the thing that we need to do that's the thing that all of us need to do is to have such a dogged determination in word devil you are not stealing from me anymore I refuse I refuse you've heard brother Copeland tell that story about Kelly and her daughter Lindsay many years ago on Christmas Day when we had to take Lindsay to the hospital spinal meningitis it was serious very serious and they just did a spinal tap on her and the doctors were shaking their heads and I was within the room I was with them as well as Terri so Kelly and Terri and I walked out of the room Kelly leaned up against the wall in the hospital I can see this I'm standing right here and Terry's facing her and Terry looked at her and Kelly had this look on her face it would I don't know if I've ever seen that look on her before face before but it was it was like she was staring down the devil himself and Terri walked up to her and said Kelly what is it she looked at her sister she said I refuse to fear and you know what from that moment on we begin to sense a change we begin to sense the lifting and and continue to walk that thing out and solve victory in our lives we saw victory that day victory over death but that's the kind of determination that we have to have I'm determined to get this I'm determined next week to hear from these speakers and to have my life change and to go on to the next level I want to go to the next level and a convention is a perfect place it is it is a a compacted acceleration of the Word of God being deposited into the heart there's a determination and there's a determination I have to see that happen and looked up the word determination among the many definitions an unwavering resolve that is based in God's Word determination it's an unwavering resolve I'm not double minded our effused to be double minded where this word is concerned it's an unwavering resolve based and rooted in the Word of God it is it's really it's an attitude it's the attitude of faith and the look that Kelly had on her face that day that that determined look it wasn't a desperation it was a determination there's a difference there's a difference because a desperation there's a sense of of no hope but determination there's a sense of we are going to make this through and we're not going to be stopped we're not going to be held back but we're gonna make it through this a determination that is based in the Word of God it's an added it is the attitude of faith it's the attitude of faith and it inna fests in different ways I'm not talking about you have to be you have to have this kind of a look on your face but there are times there are times when the pressure is on so much that it may take that there are other times when you just need to laugh at the devil my celebration is a demonstration of the manifestation of my expectation my celebration is a demonstration of the manifestation of my expectation ha ha ha ha [Applause] they're things we're believing God around here for we get determined but every so often the Lord will have me listen to mark Hankins he'll have me listening to mark Hankins I've been doing that I'll listen to brother Hagin to brother Copeland for a while and then the Lord say ok you need to take a praise break put on mark Hankins I've been listening to these series that he's had online laughter the best medicine laughter the best medicine and it just it just it's a really good praise break in the middle of something that you don't it's easy to try to take these things on yourself and carry the weight of it so I've been listening to mark and it's really been ministering to me because and this is this is this will bless you because now next week I'll pastor cherian I'll be here with you but the following Sunday we're going on vacation together going to Hawaii so I called a friend of mine and asked him if he would come and minister on that Sunday or not August the 4th so mark Hankins is coming August the 4th because I think we need a I think we need a big laugh I just think we need a big laugh so there's and there's a determination in that because what you're facing something that that is a stand of faith to look in the face of it laughs ha ha ha doctor's report ha ha and I like what mark says your spirit doesn't know if it's a fake laugh or a real way this is mark Hankins was talking about how Bishop Butler was telling him that it was recommended to him that he have ten belly laughs a day 10 belly laughs a day because it's like a medicine laughter is a medicine and so ha ha ha everything is folding that's determination as well that's the determinant really it's an act of faith it's an act of faith to laugh in the face of the curse of the law come on laugh with me ha you really you really need it you really should listen to mark mark is funny he tells jokes mark tells jokes they're a riot he told the joke about the pastor that brought his wife to the doctor the doctor said what's wrong with your wife says she's snoring all the time she's snoring he said does it bother you he says it's bothering my whole church [Laughter] he tells the one about the guy who was addicted to brake fluid he said I could stop at any time brake fluid the guy the guy that was were you explaining it to him oh you didn't understand it the man that was addicted to brake fluid he said I could stop anytime brake fluid addicted stop [Applause] where did you go you just missed all of that you heard me that's good have no idea where I am I miss that brake fluid brake fluid brake fluid determination there's a determination I'm determined I am determined to receive my healing according to 1st Peter 2:24 I'm determined I'm determined that nothing will stand in my way of receiving the desired outcome turn to mark chapter 5 mark chapter 5 let me read something to you first talking about determination guys put the picture up on the screen that I asked for I can hear them now what picture is he talking about there you go [Applause] there's a face of determination right there haven't even know who that is how many how many of you know who that isn't it who that is not that that is Winston Churchill Prime Minister of Great Britain during World War two and he was called the British bulldog the British bulldog let me tell you something about this picture famous photographer who's taken other notable people named Josephus Karsch took this picture of him and they had just a very short time to take the picture and so Winston Churchill smoked cigars all the time so that he got all set up in his office they brought mr. Churchill in he sat down he had a big cigar in his mouth and mr. Carr said to him mr. Churchill would you could you take the cigar out of your mouth he said no so he shot a couple of pictures with me said please mr. Churchill could you just take the cigar out of your mouth for one picture he said now so the photographer one up to and grabbed it out of his mouth it's true but there's something about an individual like that really it really speaks to me it really speaks to me about a person would take that person that that is facing an impossibility and those of you who watch these History Channel's in these history documentaries I turn I watch a lot about World War two and just what-what that generation went through and what took place and here here is the man that was facing something alone the United States was not getting in this with them really until Pearl Harbor was bombed and he was facing the Germans himself the Germans the Germans were were endeavoring to just take over all of Europe conquer Europe and Winston Churchill came in to his position in 1940 and he wrote he said I felt as if I were walking with destiny and that all my past life had been put but is but a preparation for this hour and for this trial Germany had their sights set on England and so in the midst of the Dunkirk invasion of 1940 mr. Churchill circulated a memo to the cabinet members and senior officials that read that like this it says in these dark days the Prime Minister would be grateful if all of his colleagues in the government as well as all military officials will mount a write morale in their circles not minimizing the gravity of events but showing confidence in our ability an inflexible resolve to continue the war until we have broken the will of the enemy to bring all of Europe under his domination so that was a memo that he said to all the officials he had to get them going the right direction and this is the same spiritual principle that we have to operate in when you're being attacked when you are under attack what he was trying to do was to turn turn the nation around and lift it up on June 4th 1940s was the eve of the fall of France Churchill told the House of Commons even though all of Europe might fall we shall not flag and we shall not fail we shall go on to the end we shall fight in the seas in the oceans we shall fight on the beaches we shall fight on the landing grounds we shall fight in the fields and in the streets we shall fight in the Hills we shall never surrender that should really be our attitude that should be the kind of determination that we have when when we are under attack from the enemy to have the same kind of fortitude and determination that we will I will not flag nor fail I will go on to the end I will fight I'll fight in the season I'll fight in the oceans and I'll fight on the beaches and fight on the landing grounds and I'll fight in the fields and in the streets and fight in the Hills and I will never surrender never surrender say no surrender the devil is defeated and it is our responsibility to enforce that defeat when the Battle of Britain rage Churchill showed up everywhere he defied air-raid alarms and went to the streets as bombs fell he toured the royal air force headquarters it's important it's important what leadership does to show that strength to a nation King George and his wife at that time they were encouraging him to leave leave London go to the country he refused to do so he refused to leave and the royal family stayed in London during all of the bombings that spoke to the people that spoke to them and encouraged them and built them up everywhere he went he held up two fingers in a V for victory the V for victory I wasn't around during World War two but I can just imagine what that was like to be standing and believing for victory in your nation that the Germans were at their heels they were dropping dropping bombs every night in London and here their leaders standing with this victory sign victory and that really should be that should be husbands and wives when we are when we're going through things in our lives together we need to every once in a while we need to stop and look at each other and go like this victory victory turn to somebody right now and give him the victory sign right there victory victory victory to the people of the Allied nations this simple gesture became an inspiring symbol for faith for eventual victory faith for eventual victory and Germany surrendered May 7th 1945 was almost five years after Churchill became prime minister they had to do it day after day after day month after month after month year after year after year after year they had to believe they had to stand they had to continue and they won they won that's the same thing that we have to do we have to continue to stand we have to continue to believe we cannot give up we cannot throw in the towel we cannot allow the attack to go further we have to stand up and take our place in that I want to show you one scripture mark chapter 5 mark chapter 5 and this is the one there are a number of scriptures that I had but this is the one that the Lord led me to about this woman the woman with the issue of blood she was I don't know how you envisioned her I don't know how you see her but I see her as one determined woman I saw her as one determined woman who was operating in bulldog faith there was the determination about her there was an attitude about her that she had the attitude of faith you know you can walk into a room and you can sense the attitude of faith you can sense if it's there you can sense if it's not and one of the responsibilities that you and I have is to bring that attitude everywhere we go everywhere we go whether it's in church or on the job or shopping out somewhere we walk into a store with the attitude of faith Here I am praise God your lives are about to change greater is He Who is in me than he that's in the world are you ready for a blessing you just need to take over every time Terry and I fly when we're flying commercial I stopped at the door I lay my hand on it I take command of that plane I call you into the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ this American Airlines flight is now pastor George's airplane and I just take a few moments and I plead the blood of Jesus and then we pray together sitting down wherever we're going we're and I claim that I claim it those pilots up there I believe in Jesus name they're either born again or gonna get born again like right away but you bring that everywhere you go the spirit of faith the spirit of faith what does it do it lifts up it lifts it lifts the atmosphere it lifts up the very atmosphere because that spirit of faith that bulldog faith on the inside refuses to allow the devil to take over the attitudes in the place we just won't have that so where she's concerned it says in verse 25 of Mark chapter 5 a certain woman which had an issue of blood twelve years that's a long time that's a long time for this condition to be going on and according to the law she was not allowed to go in public and be around people year after year she's dealing with this and it says what she was going through it says in verse 26 she suffered many things suffered many things of many physicians and spent all that she had and was nothing bettered but rather grew worse she was going through so much in her mind in her body what was taking place it was severe emotionally emotionally not being able to go into public and there was a moment in time see it says here that when she heard of Jesus when she heard of Jesus when she heard about her covenant with God when she heard what belonged to her there there is a point and I believe I'm talking to somebody in here today there is a point where you come to the place where you get fed up enough is enough you get spiritually fed up with the devil beating you up talking to you knocking you down and you just get fed up with him fed up with it and what she did was she came to the place this is 12 years this is going on she spent all the money she had she came to the end of herself when she heard about Jesus he said I'm done with this I am done with this I am taking the step and I'm going to do what I'm not supposed to do and I'm going to get out there in public and I'm gonna find Jesus and I'm gonna grab the hem of his garment the Word of God and I'm gonna take my healing [Applause] I don't think she was sheepish or shy one bit not one bit she's sitting in her house she's thinking about this it's going through her mind and they she probably had just gone to the last doctor and the last doctor said there's nothing I can do for you and she's sitting there no more money left family maybe left her all alone and then she heard about Jesus and she said I'm done with this I'm done with this you know it's amazing when the doctors say there's nothing we can do for you what an amazing place that is because your trust is completely and totally on him and she got up she got up from that place and there must have been a realization on the inside I don't have to take this I don't have to take this anymore I heard about that man I heard that man coming I heard him talking talking about things people have been talking about him and the healings that are taking place I believe that belongs to me I believe I'm gonna go get that I am gonna go get that maybe for a moment she thought I shouldn't step out the door cuz how long has it been she's been out the door publicly but she did not she stepped out she stepped out into the place and she said hey my touch but his clothes I shall be whole when he when she heard of Jesus came to the press and touched his garment she reached out to the word she took it she took it and immediately the fountain of her blood was dried up and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague 12 years this has been going on 12 years this has been happening and finally she got up and she decided to go to the source of all healing and she went to him touch the garment and it says here it's talking about and Jesus knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him turned about in the press and said who touched my clothes what is that virtue it's genomics it's the dynamic force the healing force that was coming out of him power the miraculous glory that was coming through her into him his disciples said in verse 31 you see the multitude thronging you saying who touched me and he looked round about to see her that had done this but the woman fearing and trembling knowing what was done in her came and fell down before him told him all the truth and he said to her let me paraphrase this daughter your bulldog determined aggressive persistent faith has made you whole go in peace what is the word peace Shalom what is the word peace mean nothing missing nothing broken wholeness your bulldog faith has made you whole go and peace and be whole of that plague she was healed she took it she took it she took it but there was a determination and this is what let me give you the line of what the Lord showed me about this there were three steps that took place number one she got fed up she got fed up I'm telling you there may be a place right now you you just have to some of you have been beaten up long enough it's time for this to be over and there is a place there is a place spiritually where you get fed up you've had it my mother would get fed up with me I don't remember exactly to this day what I did to deserve that but I must have done something and my mother would say to me and she'd come up to me she said I have had it up to here with you but what was worse I am fed up with you that was the worst part of it all well where the devil is concerned some people lay back and they don't do what it takes in the ring and just throw in the towel I'm telling you can't do that there must be a determination about you to fight the curse - absolutely whatever it is that the devil has tried to do to you that you come to a place where you just say I'm done I'm done with this I'm done with this and then the Lord said the next step and that's what happened to her she suffered 12 years spent everything she had and then she come to the place she said I'm not living this way anymore I think we need to say that together I'm not living this way anymore Sam I'm not living this way anymore enough is enough when a believer does that the devil gets really nervous and I'm not talking about something coming down just from the natural I'm talking about with Bible in hand with word in hand and what you're really doing what you're really doing is you are you are rising up and taking your place and if you could see it in the natural lamp you're slapping him across the face there's a name above every name and it's the name of Jesus so this woman she got fed up with it she got fed up with it and I wonder today how many people are listening to me or watching me you have to make that same decision I'm done with this I'm done devil I have done with you I'm done with you second thing she did was she got determined about her faith because it was it was her faith she said that daughter in your faith has made you whole so obviously her faith was working it was working there was the determination about her and I can just I can see it I can see it in a movie I can see how this thing will play out and I serve her what I see her standing over here and there's a crowd just a crowd if you can picture the camera moving with her and she starts moving through this crowd maybe she has a doubt or a question about doing it and she says no I'm done with this I'm getting my healing and she starts walking through he'll bump into this one and bump into that one and bump into the other one and bump into that one and then finally reach out and take the hem of the garment and that safe connected with the word and that explosion took place so devil I'm done with you and I'm determined I am determined about my faith she's saying I'm getting my healing in spite of the risk the embarrassment she got she got determined about her faith and then she got to the word she got to the word and so what the Lord was talking to me about concerning this whatever and musicians come on up here you need to get fed up with anything that is under the curse don't let it go on any more well it's been this way it's been this way for a long time don't let it go on anymore whatever the devil is saying to you it's a lie from the pit of hell don't settle for anything less than God's best don't settle for anything less than God's best don't settle for lack don't settle for sickness don't settle for fear of any kind don't settle for discouragement the greatest thing you can do when you're getting discouraged and down it just start laughing at the devil brother Hagin talks about this he talks about how he was out preaching somewhere he was staying at the at the the pastor's house and he said serious serious symptoms came on him serious symptoms and he could feel the pain and he pulled pulled the covers way over him and he's began to laugh he just began to laugh at the devil fell off the sleep woke up the symptoms were still there he just laughed at the devil again and he'll a he laughed his way into his healing he was totally delivered totally set free that there's a place there's a place you get fed up anything that is under the curse you don't put up with it do not put up with it I know because my mother she would do that whatever I was doing she would she would let it go on let it go and let it go on until she would explode and then I got the brunt of whatever with all building up on the inside of her but it's not yours to carry it doesn't belong to you that doesn't belong to you the second thing I saw was you have to get determined about using your faith you cannot be passive about this you can't be passive about this say this no matter what I'm gonna make it I'm going to get through this on top no matter how long it takes I win I win I win and then the last thing that the Lord said to me get in the word get in the word and that's why this convention is so important my intention is to go down there I'm going to get in the word I'm serious about this I am serious about getting into the Word of God there are things we're believing God for around here a lot of things that need to be done and so I want to go down there and just get my faith strengthened bolstered built up built up so that no matter what comes no matter what happens no matter what pops up I mean I'm just I took my grandchildren to Chuckie Cheese the other day Chuckie Cheese anybody been to Chuckie Cheese and there's there's something we call it bappa demon Poppa demon I forgot what else is called whack-a-mole I like Poppa demons and they little holes there and they pop up and you have to take this mallet and Bop them on the head and pop them back down and the more you bop down the more points that you get and I took my kids I took my grandkids to two that we were standing there watching that and I got I got to thinking about what what we do where the devil is concerned I mean he tries to rise up bang the word by Jesus stripes I'm healed I'm bus coming in and bless going out I'm blessed in the city and blessed in the field everything I set my hands to it prospers stand up I gotta quit somewhere oh my I wrote and I'll finish with this I wrote this was 2008 June 20th 2008 I wrote a psalm of determination would you like to hear my song okay here we go I've made up my mind are you want to say it with me or okay alright alright I've made up my mind I have made my decision I have set my faith I am fully persuaded that I'm going to make it nothing is going to stop me nothing is going to hold me back nothing is going to keep me down nothing is going to stand in my way for the fullness of the blessing you can't talk me out of it you can't discourage me from it you can't deter me from all this mind in Christ I'm undaunted unbending unflagging unflinching no matter what happens I'm gonna make it according to the Word of God I'm gonna make it for in him by his word I am determined to win [Applause] yawn [Applause] praise God Father in the name of Jesus I pray uh Thomas Chikara best Indian Amish economist catch hands with one and right now run another right now Pastor John come stand up here with me thank you Jesus thank you Jesus bring him that one no thank you lord praise God there's something that happens [Music] I believe they call it coming to the end of your rope I'm done with you devil this is a new day there is a new sheriff in town and you are done you are done you are dealing with one Bulldog aggressive persistent determine believer in Christ Jesus and whatever the Word says is mine whatever the Word says I can do I can do whatever the word of says I can have I can have whatever the Word of God declares his mind it is mine [Applause] thank you Jesus altar ministers come on up here if you would please anything you want to say before we start to wrap this up I'm excited about this week you know here's the thing you're not going into this week to get Vicky we're going into this week starting from victory we're already there we're starting from Victor Harding and what this week is going to be about is training you how to use your faith in that victory yeah yeah how to apply that victory in every situation situation everything that brother Copeland is going to bring bring he's going to breathe is going yeah bring yeah and you've got to be ready to catch it how many people ready to catch it glory to God [Applause] the Dean Sykes leave Dean had to leave father in the name of Jesus we pray over this convention together and we thank you lord as we launch out into this journey of faith that we will come out of this differently I thank you for the answers that will come the direction that will receive and for our young people for 14:40 our students lord thank you that callings will be confirmed this week they will know exactly what they are supposed to do for you their hearts and lives will be changed our super kids Lord I praise you for ministering to them in the fullness of your glory that there will be demonstrations of the Spirit in those meetings that they have and father we honor you and glorify you for every single speaker that is coming and musician and singer and we thank you that the glory is coming down and Fort Worth I said the glory is coming down in Fort Worth I say right now in Jesus name that the city of Fort Worth is a righteous City Fort Worth is there is a City of God we receive it we believe it we declare it in God we thank you for it come on give it praise and glory [Applause] that's anybody mister say if you're here this morning and you don't know Jesus as your personal Savior or maybe you've you've you've you've been saved before but you know you you're coming back to the Lord we want to invite you this morning thank you we want to let you know that the Lord has never stopped loving you Jesus loves you he loves you right where you are and like I said he wants you to start from a place of victory you are victorious so if you're in here this morning you've never made the Lord Jesus your Savior I want to invite you to pray this after me we're all gonna pray it yeah you pray it with me and receive Jesus into your heart pray this say Heavenly Father Heavenly Father I thank you for the sacrifice for the sacrifice that Jesus that Jesus paid on the cross for me paid on the cross for me I accept it I accept it I ask you now Jesus asked you know just to come into my heart to come into my house take my life take my life do something marvelous with it do something marvelous with I receive you as my lord I receive you as my lord I received the baptism of the Holy ago I received the baptism of the Holy Ghost I received my supernatural prayer language I received my suit natural fair language and I will and I will pray in tongue praying to in Jesus name in Jesus amen amen amen praise God looks great let's pray in the spirit just for a moment Odion myself a total ghost I got a bus system what about the other members tequila bucket other to college thank you Jesus praise God as we prepare to dismiss if there's anyone that wants to come to the altar to have agreement over over anything in your
