I feel terrible for all Browns social media reps right now. Just trying to stay a pos...cheerful tone but crying behind their keyboards.

[Music] great news coming out of berea today the cleveland browns have agreed on a four-year contract extension with all-pro right guard wyatt teller he's in his third year with the team and he was one of the nfl's biggest breakout players actually last season he really led the way on the browns revamped offensive line and has been pretty excellent he's been consistently one of their highest rated players over the last two years and the brown said we're not gonna wait till he even gets close to free agency we're getting this deal done so wyatt teller extended uh through the 2025 season thank you thank you you've got them dressed well the contract was a big deal i mean it's a it's an absolute blessing to uh to have that happen you know to that to that extent but also to know where you're gonna be for four more years definitely a blessing and you know again you know i love uh i love ohio and i get spent four more years here yeah i was excited for wyatt um you know he put in a lot of work and i think he'll tell you himself you know the work from coach callahan and coach stefanski and all those guys and and the work he put in himself really helped him improve over the last you know two and a half years since he's been here with a player like wyatt it's now we've come into that that next year of where let's take things and tweak them let's find different ways of of of using footwork and hand strikes and angles and leverage to improve your game that's really been the thrust of what we've been doing with wyatt over and you know taking things that he does pretty good and making it better and then taking other areas that he's a little bit inconsistent in and and really shoring that up to where he can be more confident and have more success this is like a big moment it's a huge moment he has worked so hard and it's been behind the scenes you know a big process with contract negotiations and everything and so just seeing him live out his dream and like have this life-changing opportunity is just such a blessing and being his wife and just watching him go through this and the whole process is just the best i wasn't sure how close either of us were or when things were going to sign so for it to really kind of come out as you know day after um he signed it was uh it was pretty cool you know i think it shows like oh we're committed to the run game we're committed to uh you know the offensive line and building kind of from the inside out joe betonio the brown standout guard has just agreed to a big time big money contract extension with the cleveland browns just coming in just literally seconds ago hey there was um coincidentally there was a brinks truck backed up to the browns front door today when you guys were starting practice um what does it mean for the team to make the investment in you and wyatt over the last two days you know you know first and foremost is an honor like you know both me and white are very appreciative of you know the browns starting with the haslams and andrew berry and the whole front office and coach stefanski all the way down but i think it just points to our identity yeah two really good players two really good teammates i think those guys set the tone in terms of physicality when you're talking about the run game and some of the reps that they have out there from an effort standpoint those two players are certainly worthy of that and really i'm happy for them and their families so if you look at this portrait i'm somewhere on the sideline this is my rookie year i think that's me i'm not as fancifully dressed as hawaii it was yesterday hey what's your name what's your full name zoe oh oh perfect you know the decision to sign the extension and stay in cleveland really wasn't a hard one for me and my my wife my family you know we've enjoyed our eight years here and the browns have been nothing but good to us and um you know we we believe in in the vision of the haslam's andrew barry and coach the fans and where we're going as a team and you know we're really excited to be part of it and hopefully you know it i could end my career here can you say here we go brownies here we go what do you say after that do you bark yeah you know when i first came to cleveland i was i was dating my wife at the time but you know we weren't engaged or married or anything like that so to go from there when we were just you know college sweethearts to uh now where we have two kids and a family and you know have accomplished some life goals it was it was pretty cool and then after kids like they remember but we'll be able to show them pictures someday you know when it happened but just just having your family and being able to share those moments are what make uh you know life achievements special all right everybody look at the camera right here say poop zoey [Music] being a brownsville lyman you know the number one question you get you ask you know what is joe thomas taught yeah or what have you learned from her how i was playing with joe thomas and uh you know those are questions here it really it truly was you know special to play with a guy like joe thomas um but now he's you know asking me and white some questions it has to talk about us a little bit so we're getting a little bit of payback only missing one joe thomas [Music] shouldn't he be doing cleveland browns daily what are we paying this guy for you know me and why were eager and ready to do the interview and we had to kind of sit around he might have been out hunting or you know doing one of those retirement activities that uh joe likes to do a lot all right joe this is ridiculous come on losing my mind over here luckily we're nice guys they're about to lose it if he's not on by one i'm gonna threaten to leave we were joking we were probably just busting on joe for taking his time joel your beard is impeccable thanks man i got it cleaned up a little bit the other day it makes it just like kind of next time you cut it just save the hair so i can like supersede it onto my face so i can have half the beard you have you don't want those curlies you know yeah it's good point i think i'm starting to get a couple grays in there though yeah you're stressed out dude no i turned 30 two kids oh here we go wow hear me all right hang on there it is dollar waiting on a dime great background back there pretty nice this is my studio all the magic happens yeah we said that you might uh you might be in the stand and we have to get you out before uh for this interview yeah it's actually nice we can get this over with a little quicker and i can get back no it was cool to to do the interview with joe um you know he's brown's legacy he's you know the best lineman in uh in team history and he's you know going the hall of fame rightfully so um but anytime you can sit down with joe thomas and have that discussion even though he was running a little bit late but it was a good conversation we kind of touched on a lot of a lot of different topics i'm curious why like is there anything that you get to do in cleveland that is something that you just feel is typical cleveland that just embraces everything that you love about cleveland when you're out here you know it's it's it's beautiful to go out and go fishing i remember i went walleye fishing you know i guess that's not just cleveland that's you know all the lakes the uh great lakes but now it is uh it's awesome you know we we get to spend time in um in the city and you know enjoy uh you know the beautiful um beautiful lake right here yeah i love lake erie i mean i think it's the best walleye and perch fishery in all of north america and that was one of the things that i loved doing when i was in the off season in cleveland was getting out on a boat and just getting away from the craziness of playing for the cleveland browns and get out there with some buddies and jerking some lips um for joel i'm curious i know that you guys as an offensive line are really close um you guys have the best offensive line from a performance standpoint in the nfl but you're also just as close off the field is there a prankster in the group um i don't know if we have a prankster work you know we got a kind of a lot of old guys you know jc you know is getting up there in age and it jacks around i don't know if we have a prankster we joke around a lot though you know there's a lot of guys that that joke around wyatt sometimes is the butt of the joke but you know he's coming up big now with uh with his big contract so we're giving a little bit more leeway there i'd say it's bill bill loves to loves to mess with people and and joke he's a good trickster bill sets people up he's dead serious like 98 of the time but there's there's two percent of the time where he's he messes with people and gets people pretty good i'm a guy that still likes to eat even though i'm not as big as i was when i was playing next to you joel but if the three of us are in a wing eating contest who comes out on top i've seen you eat before i don't know how big your belly is now but like right now a lot of football sundays eating my way through the sunday uh schedule you can hold it down you can eat a lot of food um why can't two though it'd be a good competition i'd probably put my money on you though joe we'll have to put it on the schedule because i don't miss many meals and i think that'd be a lot of fun if we all got back out in cleveland and uh went to a wing place all right guys uh that's all from me i appreciate you guys taking your time to talk a little football a lot of thanksgiving little kangaroo court little offensive line stuff uh good luck on sunday against the ravens and hope you guys had a happy thanksgiving yeah we got to get on that wing contest let's do it man i can't wait [Music] running is a 246. the maya priya or the ip is uh the gordon park and then i got an orbit plan basically there's a little factory out there and then just right hand turns the right zero five one yeah so every year firstly service uh we always try to coordinate a flower it really just brings together the entire pregame moment we have the ant then we have the field flag and have you know military members down on the field holding that flag and then once the anthem you know comes to fruition and it just ends having that flyby go over at the same time i think really just brings the impact for fans of like the entire military suit to service theme that we try to have throughout the game day national anthem's 87 seconds grand cru primaries one two three four five my name is ryan gray i'm a c-130 pilot aircraft commander instructor and evaluator a lot of coordination behind the scenes has already happened with the tasking that has been asked of us from the cleveland browns um that coordination is phone calls between cleveland browns and the squadron what they want from us what direction the flyover is going to be it's a c130 h2 model it's a turboprop aircraft we are very tactical so we can fly low and slow on like a lot of our other military aircrafts we do a lot of aerial delivery airdrop and here at yongsan we have an aerial spray unit which is a specific to our unit here which we do a lot of environmental and humanitarian efforts and we get to do cool stuff like the browns flyover i'm from cleveland born and raised so to have this ability to do the flyover and be a browns fan and support the team it's a great achievement for me in my life especially being a pilot here at youngstown and it's something our locals can appreciate too and get backed around the team and us at the same time for the flyover itinerary so we can sequence events so we're going to take off out of here we're going to head up to burke we're going to take a look at the weather if we have extra time we'll probably land at work and burn some time off there and then um when it gets closer at t.o.t time that we're gonna have to hit we're gonna take off and and loiter around lake erie so that's overall with sequence events yeah so for flowers for game day it's really tied into the timing it is so specific for us um just to the time of day as well as the play clock as well so it's something that we have conversations in the weeks leading up with the teams we always try to plan our anthems to be a minute and a half or 90 seconds and with that that helps us plan for this flyer to be perfectly flying over from east west right when the last note is sung [Music] [Music] once anthem actually begins from there i have someone on the field with me who has direct radial contact with the flavor and we're actually talking throughout the anthem on how they're pacing well for the fiber so they'll be pacing in they'll let them know if we start the anthem on time they'll talk if they're hitting the right notes on time and it'll eventually lead up to this big moment [Applause] [Applause] i think it really the crowd loves it i mean you can you can hear the crowd because we can't see it on the field but the crowd at the higher levels can see the aircraft coming when they're coming in for the flyover and you know they're kind of getting excited it's towards the end of the national anthem which i love and it's a pretty uh special time when right before the game right before kickoff everybody's excited anyway and you have something like that happen it kind of increases that that excitement level that doesn't get old does it yeah i think the nfl does an outstanding job in making sure that it's never too far from our minds how lucky we are to play a kid's game to have the freedoms that we have in this country and to never miss an opportunity to shine the light on our military and military personnel every year we try to plan for service take place in november to follow nfl themes but also to really try to fall in line with veterans day that always takes place in november as well we're honoring you know different military branches with our honor row to even doing moments for example we had our max soviet moment where we were able to honor cross-country mortgage donating a hundred thousand dollars to his high school in his honor max soviet was someone we wanted to recognize especially after baker had you know mentioned him in one of his press conferences earlier this season and wore cleats in his honor i think that's it's much bigger than just a game and so um you know former cleveland native maxson from berlin heights and only 22 years old uh tragically lost his life in afghanistan so just doing a dedication to him um because it's it's not about us it's about much more than that and so anything i possibly could do just wanted to tribute and you know show my true appreciation for him in the 20 years i've been in the league it's kind of grown every year and i i really appreciate what the league does for veterans for the military and how much they support how much they bring awareness to it because that's really what it is most of the time you know seeing a helicopter or a plane or a jet fly a mainly helicopter but fly over a stadium the right before the game can kind of get you juiced up good afternoon everybody and it's good to be back home for the browns it's back at first energy stadium today the bronze tangle with the winless detroit lions the lions come in no wins eight losses and a time yeah so the lions are very hungry team when you're down you know those teams are very hungry to succeed those teams are very hungry um you know to get get a win so when you're playing a team like that is not to necessarily take it for granted you want to play to the best of your ability and you want to make sure you do all the things right to be able to be successful back to pass looks loads up throws that's going to be picked off malcolm smith's got it at the 15-yard line mike caught the pick you know it was like it was so emotional for me you know he tipped one time took another time and they caught the ball you know doesn't really have you know any juke moves you know kind of an old guy but you know he um he definitely did his thing man you obviously were my dub did you see the clip your reaction to that play or anything like that no did i react oh i did i was mic'd up i ran onto the joint i remember [Applause] well i guess my excitement for the team just really revolves around perception again and just in terms of the brotherhood just in terms of the team um even goes back to notre dame uh you know brotherhood or ftb was the the saying that we have it's for the brotherhood uh so when we're um you know transitioning onto a new team we don't let go of those traits we keep those so it's always for the brotherhood and these guys have meant a lot to me going long down the field for reynolds and denzel ward's in there he's got it at an interception when i see them do great things you know i want to accommodate them and excitement um and to pair it up with happiness and joy and upliftment as well as when they make a mistake i also want to do the same hey let's go hey let's go [Applause] he's so fast and so quick and and he can really see football even more than than anybody knew when he came in here because he feels the game well and he feels space and how people move well and he knows his speed and how to get plays but what happens with young players that they see things so quickly sometimes they go too fast so when jeremiah starts the down with his eyes in the right spot and his body in a good football position bending his ankles knees and hips in his eyes and just pats his feet a little and slides he finds the right angles and is able to make plays incredible plays coach starver is one of the most intelligent coaches i've been around just in terms of knowing players in terms with of adjusting to players thoughts in terms of how they learn in terms of how they can meet their peak in terms of their development he's really good at that good learning right now okay you see how watch what malcolm is doing yeah right you fought through this you're getting better just learn great learning right here i was telling jeremiah and tony as rookies to say you don't know how long you get malcolm smith you better and they're great they ask him questions all the time you know super bowl mvp a guy that's seen everything a guy malcolm makes it very easy and simple our young guys and jacob phillips did it last year they just gravitate towards them and they ask him a lot of questions and as coaches we encourage that so you can't say enough about those guys not not just um what they do on the field but who they are as people take away the easy thing you know instead of running it out uh jlk's got you know all the tools you want as a linebacker especially in this age of football um you know he does so much so well he's explosive he's quick he can you know he's got the physical tools and he's got the instincts to go make plays and he's aggressive [Applause] 13 to 10 lebrons by three was it artistic no it was not a very honest blood answer but at the end of the day they are right now in victory formation baker mayfield with running backs surrounding him and tight ends and fullbacks he takes a right knee and lebrons are going to win it today we know it's going to be a tough game detroit had played a lot of teams very very close uh wasn't the prettiest of weather conditions and we had to fight there in the second half but that's the nfl for you you really got to fight for 60 minutes given everything you have week in and week out i thought that guys responded there in the second half i need that game you know so after the game i got to catch up with a lot of the notre dame guys and chatted up with them and you know shared a great moment um you know i had a lot of giggles and things like that so it was a great moment to be able to just uh hug on them love them and uh you know let them know that you know i see you you see me and you know we've we've made it and it's we are continuing to make it my baltimore jersey when i get done playing come on look at that playing family as i've learned you know all the games are important um all the games are key um but there's been an emphasis on the division games and this next game is a division game to be able to win to be able to um overcome our opponent is exactly what's in our forefront of my mind where are we right now where are we six and five okay you got a two game series against the division champs right now okay just like coach mitchell said last night hey it's only just begun right now okay let's have a great work week and then two game series all right team on three one two three it's a six-point baltimore lead with 110 left to go and the browns will get the ball back they need a touchdown listen up everything else that's happened so far let's go make our plays they're there to be made i trust you guys let's go finish this thing one plate at a time on this drive man yeah it was a really frustrating night for our defense to get that many takeaways and for us not to be able to score points off them uh really that's that's not how we're built we we have to get that ball and then we got to find ways to score once we do get it so that was really disappointing those are things that we're making sure we take a long hard look at and find ways when we play them again we got to be efficient and we got to be explosive in the run game well have a great week off everybody it's bye week and when we come back guess what we get an opportunity to do it again against these guys the next time in cleveland the late buy does give you an opportunity to get healthy later in the season it is a long season and that's why it's so important that the guys work hard during the year in terms of recovery and you really can't wait until the bye to just get your body right you really have to be working on your body throughout the entire season but that bye week's important to make sure that you take a break from the met from the metal side as well as a physical set well are you ready can you sit come here butler look good boy i know i know now you're like wait why is everybody looking at me can you sit roller sit good boy can you shake can you shake can you shake come on good boy other paul other paul [Music] no other ball good boy can you lay down oh boy up can you turn around good boy can you turn around [Music] it's nice to and get that time off i got to relax and you know spend some time outdoors he went hunting which is good for wyatt um it's what he likes to do and um but it's i mean i think it's been good just the past couple of weeks have been kind of crazy with football and everything and i think that them to have a physical and mental timeout so it's been nice to relax and to have wyatt here he's made me breakfast a couple times and um yeah he's actually walked the dog so it's been good wyatt is as most people that know him know that he's kind of a homebody you know i knew you know we have the bye week and all of our friends are going here and there and everywhere but um he just kind of wanted to take the time to just really relax and we've definitely been able to spend you know some time together carly you know she she's been you know a heaven send um you know with the transition from uh this is three years ago now so a long time ago but uh the transition to buffalo she was there for me you know she's always had my back she's always making sure that things run smoothly she's you know she's my biggest fan my wife is awesome she helps me out more than i could ever say so we come to cleveland um i'm still traveling up here and everything and then he decides to come live with me we've like you know developed this relationship and i always say like we fell in love in cleveland and that's one of the reasons why cleveland is so special to us we're coming up on a year from when we got engaged at first energy stadium [Music] we leave the house and he said i actually need to run by the stadium which completely i mean he it was the opposite way i need to run by the stadium i left my airpods and he said well they said that you can see the locker room do you want to see the locker room i'm like i mean sure cool at this point i know something's up yeah i know she acts like she she knew what was going on or even that she caught on she had no idea we walked by like the tunnel where they run out and he just like hits the button to open the garage doors it was so smooth and garage doors open we walk out on the field all of a sudden a taylor swift song comes on and i'm just like shook and you know i like black out basically and then a video that my sister had made for wyatt or with wyatt comes on and it's all videos and pictures of wyatt and i and it starts playing and it was just the sweetest thing so that plays and then we get to the 50 yard line he gets down one knee and proposes and it was incredible it was honestly a magical moment um and i know i had to do it big because that's just how my wife is she do it all out because you know she uh she enjoys those moments babe you're better off just letting him be down here should we walk butler before we leave because we're going to be gone butler is a great dog he's about a year and a half he's a bird dog weimer honor i don't bird hunt as much as i wish i i did i didn't train him he had good temperament so you know i didn't really have to train him too hard is that your cleveland browns toy look at you look at you pulling out the toy that you almost hit your freaking head on that dogs are sweet they you know they they come at you with with the same energy every day and you know i'm thankful for that because in the life that i live the energy changes every five minutes just how football works you know he's my baby are you just a baby i was like oh butler's a cool name and then wyatt said well that's my mom's maiden name that's kind of cool so sorry cheryl your name's a dog after you but it just sticks and i mean i don't know it's a it's a cool name and it's like strong and people are whenever i tell people his name look at something can you see anything butler go browns huge browns fan he's got his party here you good boy yeah with the gator pick um which is pretty cool and then we got the guard dogs up there my wife won that in a raffle the same it might be a different guy but he did something pretty cool too so you said just a fan made yeah pancake season love it people you know look up to me but i just play sport you know yeah i played at a high level and it's you know it's a blessing and it's the nfl but you know i'm thankful for the people overseas i'm thankful for the men and women who keep us protected you know these people are the ones who are putting their life on the line for us for what what our society believes is right just in general why it's like very patriotic and passionate about being an american his dad definitely takes part in that yeah so my dad was uh my dad was military he was a marine corps army reserve and then with security after that and you know until he was done and you know i grew up with that that understanding and that you know that respect we we spent a lot hours coaching football and playing football and our organization spends a ton of time and having our you know keeping our organization running um but at the end of the day you know that's a form of entertainment we're trying to help people in the cleveland area try to help our fans and and make everybody's life a little bit better obviously being a former military officer being a naval officer and flying helicopters and my wife and i have a passion about uh awareness for veteran suicide it's kind of very near and dear to our hearts and the green brave foundation is a fantastic organization and they do a lot for the veterans in this area and really around the country andy's fund is named in honor of master sergeant andy marcuzzano who lost his battle with suicide in july of 2020 and so it's a way that the greenberry foundation can earmark funds to specifically address holistically all of the concerns that could lead to suicide whether that's mental health or life or substance abuse they look at all of those things and and try to prevent that before it starts talked to alice and she had this great idea of having a boxing event and so you know we kind of started talking about ideas talked to some green berets and and their families and thought the best thing to do is uh to have something done where maybe some leave a grounds person could come yeah i know it was it was cool you know it was an experience we didn't know what to really expect once we got there you know it was it was cool you know it was it was all focused on the ring you know obviously for a good foundation but also cool to see you know boxing that close i think for all of the green berets who are huge nfl fans they've always thought of nfl players as their heroes and it's really exciting and pretty stunning for them to realize that they're the nfl players heroes [Applause] up guys i'm not going to keep you too long wyatt tyler right guard for the cleveland browns thankful to be here for the green braid for uh foundation um here to support and uh for the next four years i'm excited to be here in cleveland go browns to see the browns put their their time and their energy into something like this and not just say that they salute service but actually give their free weekend on a bye week come out support them and show them that they care it truly means the world [Music] all right here we go yeah the bye week's always a critical time uh for you each season but it just felt like guys came back you know guys were refreshed and you felt like man we're taking a team pitcher at this time you know but it's really all the guys that have made it through to this point been through the grind all the bumps and bruises you know all the games good you know bad whatever but uh it was good it was good to see everybody out there and take that picture i know the guys are recharged i know they're excited to be back but that team picture is something each one of us has done every single year we've been playing football coaching football so it's that one opportunity for everybody to get dressed all nice and sit still for a second and get that picture so that you can always remember those years because they're all different and you want to make sure that you have something to remember you know we put so many hours in the building during the season and it's a long grind that bye week to be able to unplug get back with friends and family uh and just hit that reset button is great yeah i mean with it about me i just relaxed i didn't do anything just got some time alone just to you know um refresh my mind reconnect with family friends and boost everything ahead of us we got to take it one game at a time but the season's not over it's far from over that's just our mindset got to keep working starting today do we get buddy photos or hey d-line d-line d-line d-line [Music] coach callahan across the back we're holding you sideways yeah i think each one of those rooms is is its own ecosystem and those young players have a lot of jobs that they have to do for the veterans you're on your knees [Music] i don't know come on pull your socks off one of them is decorating uh the rooms for thanksgiving or christmas or what whatever it may be so some guys do it better than others well i'm proud of my blow up santa we've got a doormat i'm especially proud of we've got stockings with everyone's name on it be a nice touch um yeah so miller you know the youngest guy in the room as the guys in the room picked out he was responsible for decorating our room for the holidays what made you want to take the lead on uh decorate it i'm the only rookie and i got told too he took it very seriously i think he got a little flack for how he decorated early in the year for halloween i think he felt like he had to step his game up not going to catch crap like we did for halloween so this one's going to be done the right way he did a good job he did a very good job i stay out of that that's completely done by the players on whether or not the room gets decorated i let them handle that uh my favorite item in the room i mean there's a lot of good items i mean the the picture of me at the star of the tree is a little strange um he's got a big blowup i don't even know if it's like a christmas dog i guess i'd say the dog's probably my uh my favorite thing obviously he has to go in there and plug it in every day before the meeting so we're not just burning all the energy in the room but i'd say that's probably my favorite dave's gonna love that how are you deciding the order i went drew being the coach like dave's been here the longest hoop is old so i throw him up there as well you know and then i'll throw steve he's been here and then harrison and then myself bam stocking's done yeah there's multiple rookies to go so quickly yeah i think it usually falls on them so you know obviously every room is different but i think generally depending on who you have in the room and how they came up they like to run the room that the way they did in that regard so they usually look to the rookies for the snacks the candy the decorations et cetera the o-line room generally tends to be more aggressive in that regard than the other rooms but certainly the tight end room embraced it this year as well it wouldn't be christmas without anything else just directly above it [Music] [Music] santa you're going up there there's no way this isn't all the tree where's the rest of it this is this is more like okay please work ha fight okay we got a tree good this is good [Music] and i'm gonna have to make sure i get in here tomorrow before everyone else internal scrap on [Music] okay you know the drill you're off tomorrow we'll start our work week on wednesday first of all ed block courage award winner this year number 22 grant delfin yeah grant worked so hard this off season to to get back uh to where he was and it's never easy and his attitude was always great and i think you've seen it as he's come back and making big plays for us okay and then our nominee for the walter payton man of the year this is a big deal okay and there's many many worthy candidates here because of how you guys are in the community how you are out there in northeast ohio one of your teammates does a great job especially with his foundation make them know your name number 21 denzel ward you know the walter payton man of the year is a very very big deal and when you think about a nominee somebody who's worthy of something like that you do think of denzel the stuff that he does in our community and denzel's foundation make them know your name is so important to his family and raising awareness for heart health and the things that he's doing out in the community are very impactful so to recognize him uh i think is is more than deserving yeah it's a huge honor just uh for such a prestigious award um it just goes to show the impact that are making in the community and uh everywhere else around in different communities and around the world so just uh definitely honored and grateful to be in this position [Music] i appreciate y'all boys let's go out get a win this week team on three one two three appreciate y'all boys man you know denzel does so many great things uh he's a great teammate he's been a really good player for us this year and just to know that he's being nominated for man of the year just for all the things he's doing you know away from this building as well i think that's just a great you know acknowledgement to what type of person he is and um you know grant uh being nominated for the ed block uh was big uh coming in you know being a second round draft pick high expectations and for him to go down you know with the achilles i remember talking to him you know that day when it happened and he was really down and just told him to keep his head up man you know i knew he would make it through but it was going to be tough on him this experience as a rookie and he came back and i think now with him being involved uh in our defense just with the multiple things that we're doing him making some plays i think you know he looks back and it's you know he made it through and uh you know i think he put that behind him and that nomination i think this this helps him to where he's at right now with it [Applause] hey we got five weeks fellas five weeks let's be at our best now is the time to peak here we go bb's on three one two three it is crunch time in the nfl five games left to go for the browns sitting at six wins and six losses and if it's gonna happen and i mean if it's gonna be a repeat of last year and go to the playoffs it has to begin today all right it's over you told them at the beginning of the season let's make it count hey so greedy so what animal got two ladies we can't walk you still don't know it really does come down to this we've been waiting for this team to take off but there are no more excuses it has to happen right now because we gotta win it for 50 minutes we can't lose a minute of this game every possession any rest of office defense specialty we got to win this we got to be our piece of cues we got to win every time we step on the field first thing second third team when you get your number called you go out there rock the box let's go win on three one two three yeah the first ravens game gave us confidence that you know this the next game we played against them that we'd have an opportunity to win if we did things right we got to approach this game as it's it's a one game season and we got baltimore at our house and we got to come ready and that's why we're working so hard right now in this building to make sure that we're ready to go on sunday so that's the fancy kicks and he know it too though yeah hey you know we might we might put our foil today i love jackson back to pass on first down up on the pocket sling shots went in what ahead by denzel ward on freeman ding dong that's a big hello oh my [Applause] [Music] [Applause] these coaches and players here they're making my job easy just those guys up front rushing the ball and we got our secondary players and then the coaches just putting us in the right position so it definitely been making my job easier out here and we just got to take it a game at a time and finish strong what's the center on the board man just seven on the ball give us a little play action fake roll out right throws right it's caught landry's got it and he dives for the pylon touchdown and the roads are up nine it's nine nothing [Applause] there it is we got what we asked for put that juice on [Music] [Music] i like the forces coach it's the forces huntley takes the shotgun snap back to pass look the ball got stripped away in the air the browns fight for the ball [Applause] we always talk about run run reach and it was perfect it was textbook he got the ball out and then he got the right bounce off of clowney and uh you know scoop it up and go score you know he got the sack force fumbled a fun recovery and a touchdown just very excited for him for that to happen [Applause] i don't know how long can they live 30. what kind of dog so what you got to feed the dog for the left 30 years plant-based plant-based okay yeah 30 years 30 years somehow uh salad action fake drops rolls to the right pointing down the field rolls to the right at the 15 and from behind he got hit and the ball came out and the browns are on it they have got it they do a great job with their offensive scheme and really winning a time of possession so it was critical for us to get the takeaways and really steal a few possessions and the game got crazy at the end but the guys fought it and the whole way through the game we found a way to come away with the win at the end hey look at this stop come on baltimore gets a touchdown they're going to go for two three receivers right huntley in the shotgun andrew's in motion huntley scrambles out to the right being chased lobster went into the end zone it is picked off intercepted in the end zone by grant delpin he takes a knee and baltimore gets six it is now 24 15 with 8 56 left to go in the game at the time you really didn't realize it but at the end of the game when you went by two points then you realize how big of a football play that was you know for him being young he got to learn his two-point play go score they can't get the ball back two-point play you pick it they never get the ball back so you always try to score but for him to make that play that situation was really maybe the biggest play the game for us and the ribbons have come all the way back and have now close to within two points with 117 left it is 24 22. the browns in the lead you gotta figure it's probably going to be an onsider they dribble it up the field the ball is bouncing around and baltimore's going to get it at the 40-yard line it looks like chuck clark has recovered it at the 40-yard line they have it at their own 40 with 116 left i'll be honest with you you know at the end of the game uh when they recovered the onside i really had a sense of calm and i had that sense of calm because in practice we have a compete period the kostafanski he tells us what the situation is but he never tells you until right before the period so you're not game planning for it so when it happened i remember looking out there and i just felt calm cause it's like man we do this every week so i made the calls because i do the same thing in practice i felt very comfortable and we got to that situation uh back-to-back plays and you know they just the guys stepped up who gonna make the game winning play who's it gonna be two receivers left two to the right in the backfield freeman out of a shotgun huntley takes the snap back to pass in the pocket around the horn explored he hit him he got him all the way back at the 31-yard line genevieve and cloney with a huge huge sack you know clowning with the big sack they moved the ball on the next play a little bit and then we got the fourth down and just you know called one of our defenses we had in for baltimore and denzel he knew what was coming based on the split of the receiver and you can tell by his stance and the focus he had on the receiver as soon as it happened man he stuck his foot in the ground and made a big play fourth down and six lebrons clutching to a two-point lead all right the entire stadium rises here we go three receivers right two to the left hudley in the shotgun fourth down at six from the 45 in baltimore he's got the snap back to pass throws caught vaping got it and the broads stop him a big hit by denzel ward denzel warren's hit him right on the button at the 45 and the bronx get the ball back wow listen to this place [Applause] [Music] just like the course of a game it always seems to come down to the last drive and we always talk it's about us we're not worried about all the outside noise or things that happen all we can focus on is how can we get better each week how can we prepare ourselves to win that game and if you keep your head down and you do that and you get enough wins at the end of it you're right where you want to be and that's going to do it today the browns hang on and they win it final score 24-22 an incredible incredible defensive performance by the browns and the raiders are here next saturday [Applause] all right starting off that run want to know we need that resiliency we need it that's what the nfl is guys it's never easy okay it never is all right it's hard and when it's hard what do we say when it's hard case good good good it's hard that's what we want okay now if we stick together if we share in these wins right we got a chance because it's a good football team in here okay hey i appreciate how this team fights fight scratch and fall for every single inch okay appreciate you guys team on three [Music] [Music] you
