Building a Reclaimed Wood Door from Pallet Wood and Metal for the shop!!

good afternoon YouTube my name is Brandon and today we're going to be building a rustic looking barn style door I need a door for my shop I haven't had a door on it and I decided to build one out of using guess what pallet wood so we're getting the most we can out of those pallets for this project the pallet wood is the leftover pallet wood from the last project or two I'll leave a link for that down below so you can check that out if you're interested in for the interior of the door I'm using an old piece of metal roofing I'm still not too sure on the finish of it if I like it or not but maybe I'll get used to it maybe I won't so comment in the end about that and what else is there oh the hinges so the hinges I'm going to be building out of just scrap metal and I'm building my own door hinges the look I'm going for this is kind of a kind of a rough feel rustic barn door type thing originally I wasn't going to have the doors hinged I was going to have it be a Slyke on a slider a sliding barn door type thing but this area behind me that you see and I'm kind of covering up the door this area behind me that you see is where this door would slide over and I didn't want to chew up the space on that wall so I ended up going with a hinged with a hinge type setup so what happy and said let's get going check it out and I hope you like it thanks you're not gonna be doing half of snips or grinder that quick you you and that's all there is to it it was a real fun project to do so I'm not sure about the finish on it though the one thing that I've been contemplating since they started it was would it look better if it had like a rusted patina finish on on the metal and that I don't know either way I think it's an awesome addition to the shop it's kind of a cool concept as you first walk in is some projects that my wife's working on right now so yeah I think it's kind of a neat little project so please don't forget to rate comment and subscribe and I want to thank you guys for watching and let me know what you think do you think you look better with a patina finish on that or do you like it like it is so thanks for watching have a good day see ya
