good day everybody welcome to the broadcast today we have got a parking area to build for a camper and the truck pulling it we're doing an access of this main road we know where our utilities are overhead the water line back there i got the stakes at the corners of the entrance and then we're just going to do the pad itself 12 feet wide there's a really deep ditch at the beginning so we're going to go ahead and put 40 feet of two foot diameter double wall pipe we're just going to do a time lapse today because i'm in a hurry you guys enjoy the show [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] do [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] let's go ahead and load up this sod that we've already gotten dug out i supposed to pipe two those are old tanks of some kind take it all to the yard at one time [Music] uh [Music] dropping off a load of fresh road bond we're gonna need about one more load just to get this entrance finished to where next week i'll be able to back the truck in off the road i've been having just blocked this lane to drop material off but that'll make life a lot easier and then i'll be able to bring the trailer back in here and load equipment and get out of here next week so let's go get us another load of robot and cover this pipe up let's do about nine times hopefully this is just enough material [Music] to get my entrance done in preparation for next week [Music] i think this is going quite well we at least got a place we're winging back in completely off the road now i'm finding that at rush hour this little road gets quite busy we'll need to fill this corner in we won't be getting that till later but where the yellow line is is where the gravel is going to cut across starting to look like a driveway entrance now got my machine jacked up level we'll load this sod out well i bit the bullet and parked in the yard but i think it'd be all right [Music] there's close to the last load of roadmap load up this little bit to dirt majority of it anyway [Music] just pulled up back on the job site with one more load of abc crusher run road bond whatever you guys want to call it that last load this right here is what eight tons of abc looks like when it's about five to six inches thick it goes about 20 feet not very far i'm gonna jump on the excavator now we're gonna address this load up and then i will probably just back up dump the next load out in a pile too and work this in to the width that i wanted at [Music] use this right side track to attract this soft stuff in because if i cut that soft stuff down and then tracked it i would end up being too low [Music] see how that leaves a nice little packed surface as you can see we got the start of a good packed in surface i'm going to measure my widths down there just to double check if it is we'll continue on up through here onto the dirt [Music] now we just got a reposition i'm just gonna grab that stuff and pull it up against our border line there or at least close to it [Music] so i'm watching the right side of the blade being careful not to have that material spread too wide [Music] now let's pull this line straight you can do this job with a skid steer a tractor whatever you happen to have now i'm watching the left side of my bucket and i don't want it to dig into the grass i just want to kiss the top of those blades of grass now we got a big mound like this if you just grab it here it's going to pour way over to the left so put your blade down to stabilize yourself and start pulling stuff this direction into the center it's okay if you go over your lines just a little bit it will not be the end of the world now by just grabbing little bits instead of going all the way up to the end and back dragging that material will spread less to the left [Music] all right i'm just going to keep going up here grab a bite watch that left side of my blade and make sure i don't have material just absolutely pouring way over the line pull less more towards the center i kind of have an idea where my edges are so what i'm doing is i'm feathering the blade in order to not dig into the ground as much i'm trying to keep the blade and you guys view so you can see what i'm doing i'm gonna track this left edge in get it established i guess you could call it my track all the way over the end so i can see once those tracks compress see how much lower that road bond is it's a it's taken the road bond down even with the level of the grade around this pad so i'm just gonna go ahead and track every bit of it in and see where we end up at i'm going to back out into the road here so you guys can see the whole thing here so it's a little bit low right through here and we're not quite to that yellow line on the left but now on of the way you all can see that that darker area that's exactly what i want let me move that boom and get that shadow out of our eyes all of this area in here is what i want the whole thing to look like so all of this up here is to grade so i can't steal any material from here to we can't rob peter to pay paul that just doesn't work so i need to go and get us [Music] one more load [Music] of material to put starting from that dark gray area on out to the road because i want to expand at the pipe too so let's go get eight more times is that the regular abc there time i'll need about eight tons of it thank you tim now let's get this next load where we need to use it [Music] some clods in there it's just kind of weird it's not the end of the world if we go over our line there just a scope when i go on up here [Music] fill that hole next to that culvert in [Music] [Music] i just watch for cars coming paper these corners out [Music] now y'all are kind of looking in the same view that i am out my door [Music] i got the grade going up to the road pretty well how i want now i just got to taper it out [Music] [Music] now that i have gotten my entrance pretty well smoothed out i'm gonna go back up here to the top push this stuff out of my way right here i want my to make my finish grade now [Music] i'm going to line up on my corner and now we make the final cut i'm just adjusting my door my cab actually where i can look out the door and i'm going to try to make this cut with making his gradual emotions with the excavator as possible [Music] make these cuts kind of straight as i back up you'll be able to see that straight cut come into view and i'm making a gradual turn toward this side [Music] that's important that we when we start our cut that we are as level as possible flat touches [Music] on the controls that is [Music] see this side had quite a bit more lift than the other so i'm gonna have to make two cuts so we got extra material now kinda sorta and our pad also has developed a little bit of a crown now i'm just going to track this right side down to see how smooth we get it i didn't feel it sink very much at all [Music] yeah i'm gonna kind of cut it this angle this time [Music] i might taper these out lifting my blade as i back up so it doesn't leave like a pile sitting [Music] there like our final cut on this side [Music] now instead of pushing these high spots here i will back drag them to take those out [Music] and part of this is just learning [Music] what you're seeing and what you need to do with the machine but the fundamentals are the same [Music] [Music] so [Music] [Music] [Music] well i got about three or four tons of rip rap in the truck i think that would probably be enough well apparently i jarred the machine and my camera tilted down but here's kind of what we've got going on as far as the rip rap goes and then we have the inflow side not bad it's coming to the end of this day so i'm gonna go ahead and load up what's left of this two foot pipe [Music] oh just throw this stuff away it's [Music] expensive i don't believe that'll put me over hot [Music] don't you love it when you're working on a project and the neighbors call you over to clean up something on their property too they had this tree turned down but the tree company don't think that they can lift this thing let's see if i ain't lifted [Music] i think i can a good spot to grab a hold [Music] oh yeah 100 bucks all day long to hold this thing off i'll cut that up tomorrow yep definitely gonna cut that up tomorrow i think i'll wrap this video up here because we're pretty much done with this parking area we got it cut out stripped road bump it down of course the pipe rip wrap it's finished for all practical purposes tomorrow or on the next video maybe i'm gonna be ripping all that brush out up through there and then above my excavator up there so thanks to all of you for joining me on this video i had a great time making it for you hopefully i can get back to making these full length videos covering the whole project and going through the project as soon as i can get some help hired which i'm pretty sure we have somebody it's gonna be super awesome who we get you guys be sure to help this hillbilly out with three things a like comment and subscribe we love you and we will see you on the next video you
