Building a 500hp Naturally Aspirated K24 Engine with 4 Piston Racing

[Music] there's a lot of effort that goes into building at 500 horsepower naturally aspirated Honda K 44 engines and today here at four piston very thing we're going to show you a little bit more about how that smell [Music] well April's been around about four years we started this business in the garage district kids you know we wanted to go racing but we had in front of it for our fingers mr. Tom a four-cylinder engine playing Josh and I started working on those and it started out with stronger in development and that's been our core business with no problem in order to do that we have to do in the development top the bottom and be testing so we do all of our cylinder head development circle finishing house and then we deliver a CNC product to the end-user [Music] so then we have behind us is a Honda case series engine starts out of this two point four meter it comes in a variety all 'mobile we are building this for a specific class that has displayed limitations and a whole set of rules for from over observation it's a 2.7 liter and we get that display with a hundred six millimeter Wenberg crankshaft and a 90 millimeter bore little white pea piston starting kind of the bottom we have that Wenberg crank connected to an aluminum GRP exploit being rod got everything pretty light you know small wings kind of squeezing every little bit of horsepower we can out of this thing right now the cylinder head on this engine is a 430 CFM through an inch pipe in valve and that's that 650 lip we psi valve spring with for a about I think involves the induction is a Kinsler 70 millimeter or 71 and a half millimeters [Music] so if you slap all these components together you mail-order you buy and you swap them all together these engines will make between 450 and 480 horsepower and they pick out around 10,000 rpm when you start working on the details fronting rings a key getting the oil system milky stopping making sure everything is rubbing together right these things exceed 500 horsepower and they big screen packs 10,000 rpm and it's a pretty often set
