BROOKLYN NINE-NINE: Andy Samberg and Melissa Fumero Tease Jake and Amy's Big Year

well the season starts off with everything kind of crazy I think Jake is doing his best to normalize it but it's very weird especially because Holt's reacting so negatively pretty much yeah what should i Namek like in the rest of the squad when the demotion happens but when Holt's around you know he's not he's not the boss anymore so there's this sort of like power flip and I would say he doesn't handle it very well no not very elegantly we just was like it's like not like high school anymore like with Jake and Amy being married and kind of everyone kind of like growing up a little bit more would you guys have to agree with that yeah I would say so you know and Charles is a dad and Terry and Amy have both had promotions it's kind of inevitable unless you want the show to stay in the exact same place all of the cast is done 7 years older since we started so it makes sense that it's also nice for us to have the things happening to our characters even vaguely reflect where we're at in our own lives a little more dancer there are a lot of great moments for you guys this [Laughter] we did anything well the towards the end of last season Jake made me start talking about having kids and that conversation continues into this season for sure I think that's about as much oh it was a rough conversation started rough yeah but then resolved by the end of that one episode no no but it resolved in that Jake had his opinion turned around on it but it was definitely like we're not rushing into anything and it's still ongoing you know that's a big switch to go from never thinking you'd ever want kids because of your own relationship with your father to deciding so I would say it's not something that just
