[Music] today we're going to a korean bar in central london oh my gosh this is brand new let's see what's up korean food must you never just drink in korea there's always food and alcohol together and there's specific carrots we have chicken and beer we also have the mapoli with john pancake okay so this is that's how you go to a hospital there's like literally so many ways that koreans open bottles of sort like get rid of the top of that other alcohol because that gets rid of the impurities you know [Music] yeah as basic as it can be for healthy chips and cheese yeah exactly that's it i started you guys off nice and easy we'll get a little bit more adventurous as we go on this is your first like proper andrew andrew basically is food that you have with alcohol maya you said one of your favorite things that we ate last time was the kimchi yeah yeah yeah absolutely got me this is kimchi which is essentially tofu that you have together with kimchi grab a bit of put a bit of meat on it nice kimchi [Music] hmm oh my gosh yeah this place is legit that is just wow yeah here comes the whale again that's just such an iconic place with him right yeah such a nice way to enjoy kim jones it's completely opposite here seven years bad luck if you don't come in the eye so we're gonna spend all night like okay another andrew classic this is like floating i'm so doorballs that's not what it is give it a taste see what you think give it a little easy one oh wow not such a specific flavor but also like texture a little bit fishy it's a fish cake that's what it is oh my gosh i different experience yeah there's just layered upon layer flavor yeah it's very true it's very true british food is generally like one color kind of like a baby yeah yeah yeah i think it's about time dishes you'll have at a korean putter the vast majority of these sea wells are imported from the uk in korea yeah oh we've come full size exactly but that's so weird because we just wouldn't eat that well that's the thing i guess we fish them and then yeah yeah yeah you like that and if i'd said to you today oh we're gonna be eating seaworld you probably wouldn't have thought i'm not gonna come today oh my gosh what's happening you may notice there's a stick sticking out of your drink it's so silly i'm wondering how much of that i've had and then to get the flavor out there you go oh my god the land my memories i i love this from the first time i tried it but i know that not everyone does again a little bit more adventurous but give it a try that's the main thing as long as you're open to try again but it is chewy sorry you're confused by that i'm so satisfying that chew i probably put a dog which basically literally translated means chicken butthole [Laughter] that's not what it is that's just what it's called that's just what it's called what it is it's a chicken gizzard actually that's actually not bad now that i know that it's not a butthole i'm just not there it's not that old now this is an absolute classic soju game this is the soldier bottle cap yes basically the game is if you manage to flick off the screw section of the cap then the people on either side of you of these ingredients yeah yeah yeah you need yeah yeah yeah exactly i mean there's literally baked beans in there oh i love my beans there's little hot dogs and cocktail sausages that's spam oh what's going on i am hopefully going to change the way you think about all of these ingredients with this meal that's something that was the best place that's what i'm aiming for it makes it more scary because i'm familiar can i have a chicken bottle back the english translation for this dish is army-based stew and it originated in like the 60s obviously because of the korean war korea was basically left as like one of the poorest countries in the world so people had to get creative with cuisine and with food and recipes at certain points in time the only ingredients were available were like leftovers from american army bases oh and so what they could get their hands on was spam hot dogs you know the instant noodles that's crazy that it can come from a place of hardship but you can now order it in a restaurant yeah oh this you literally will have chains of restaurants which specialize they openly sell this just ingenious literally ingenious i'll let you try it first who knows you might not like it it's not for everyone yeah you said that earlier about the chicken butthole that's true that's what i hear you say yeah there we go let's give this video a taste [Music] oh my gosh yeah if i could have that every time i felt ill or cold or a bit wet from the rain yeah yeah it just fixes all the world's problems that is oh my god it's a mix of worlds it is yeah that's it taking the western ingredients korean flavors i have missed this so much trying to say i've missed this you're going to be crying i'm absorbing your emotion it's the crying guy over here i just can't get over the flavor i'm so happy yeah i'm so happy right now i was just like absolutely no way this is not going to be you guys both just burst out but yeah you saw this that was completely unexpected yeah it's just so like warming here we go it's so good it's a beautiful tale of what food and hardship what humanity can do when it works together ma'am it's beautiful i love sharing these first experiences with people it's just literally my favorite thing in the world yeah are you guys ready for the most adventurous dish yet oh no okay i know they are i feel like it's feet oh that face confounds and it's pretty chicken's feet before we do that this is a guruju means honey in a soju glass you pour 90 soju and 10 beer adds a little color that makes it look like honey and people say it adds a real sweetness almost like honey cheers oh i definitely prefer that that is funny and that is food that's made me angry i'm not gonna lie my whole brain is still thinking about chicken okay okay this is just like what i've had in korea it's all about the texture and the spice it just looks like a ham around the bone there's collagen it's really good for your skin and what we need to do is just chew around the bones and then spit out the bones yeah you don't have to eat all in one you can probably about half in one or or you can just focus on one two at a time one two at a time here we go for one tour at a time cheers guys that is very spicy oh my god if i take it you're not a big spicy food eater [Applause] my lips are tingling can you feel it i've got chicken butthole lips yeah at the moment i think that's the spiciest thing i've ever had in my life really i love spicy foods i'm so there for spicy food that's legit chicken's feet not sure not sure this is what you know how we started the meal with basically the most bland simple thing cheese on corn i thought it'd be nice to end it with something that's definitely not bland but again cheese on chicken you're an absolute
