Breaking the Spirit of Intimidation by Tommy Tenney

bless you well I always said if I'm gonna get a title I want a really good one Emperor potentate something big like that but I'm Tommy how are you guys everybody had an apple and some honey so are you having the sugar high the crash or you just mellowed out right now you're good that's good to be here with you guys you know this this church and what you're doing and the leadership and the team it's sort of it's one of those things that's picked up and echoed around the world I've always heard about what you're doing and it's really really good to come just hang out with you and I don't know how much how much me being here is going to help but I'm not here to hit a homerun I'm not here to score a goal or a basket or a touchdown or whatever your favorite sport is but I'm just here to help you sorry I used so many sports metaphors I'll have to I'm here to help you move the ball down the field is that good and the women are saying what's he talking about I'm here to help you find a good place to go shopping what happened all of a sudden you just like the anointing that went up in the room I know that because I have three daughters and I I was blessed with three daughters and my first three grandchildren were all girls I've been swimming in a sea of estrogen for many years and about three years ago reinforcements arrived I now have a little grandson boys are different our whole family for a couple of generations we've all just had girls and so this past Christmas it's the first Christmas when he would kind of really understand okay we get some toys and things and all the members of the family didn't consult on what they were going to he got four tool sets and I said what makes you think we were ready for some boys around this house one of them was real do you know what a three-year-old boy can do with a hammer when a three-year-old boy has a hammer in his hand everything is a nail I was in my office studying one afternoon and I heard some some like somebody doing repair work that's literally what it sounded like but I thought I didn't maybe Jeanie brought somebody in to fix something and my office is kind of in the other end of the house and I started walking toward the noise and we have granite countertops in her house yeah he had climbed on top of those and was sitting cross-legged with both hands on his hammer just as hard as he could and it's like in slow motion I'm running it no and he looked up at me like because of papa what's wrong I'm just fixing it we did have to fix it he had nothing to do with it I hope you like family I love family I like meeting new family hanging out with the body of Christ Christians around the world I think that this is an important time for the body of Christ and you hear a lot of guys say that but this is a little bit of my story I am a fourth generation Minister I have you know at you know everybody's got a testimony like you you were delivered from this and say from that well you want to hear my testimony I survived Church hey it's a good one right there people like can he say that yeah I did I just said it okay my grandfather was faster my father is in ministry my my father 79 and he still every week somewhere around the world last weekend he was in Lithuania he left there and met me in Prague where I was speaking at a conference and today he's in Northern Ireland so we just kind of meet we live three blocks from one another in Louisiana we meet in random places and get to hang out but my my understanding after I've been preaching them calculating us about Fitz 40 years a little over 40 years now and a lot of times you hear people say well this is a critical time or this is important but it's sort of like that suspenseful music in a movie and by the way how many of you saw the movie one night with the king did you see it so you've never had a Hollywood producer preach for you that would have been a good title Hollywood producer but I learned a lot while we were making that movie and one of the things I learned is how important music what an important part music plays to helping carry the emotion of the script because I saw everything we filmed and I saw it you know without music and then when the score was written and you added the music even though I liked the things we'd filmed it just it brought the emotion home and you know how in a movie they'll have that music and it just it continually builds and then they try to hold you out there on the edge and it's almost like they're holding you out there for as long as the the oboe players can hold their note well the oboe players of prophecy are about to breathe and I think we're weird a real that the music is sort of the the underlying tone of what's going on in the church and and I don't know if I'm an expert by about it but I've preached my ministry for 40 years has basically been one of traveling and last year I asked my office I said can you calculate how many different churches I've been in and so they I mean we don't have records that go back 40 years but they they know roughly how many I'm in a year and how it goes and they begin a calculation at 5,000 different churches I mean I guess now it's five thousand and one but it sort of gives me an ability to put my finger on the pulse of the global church I speak in about 20 nations a year and I do feel like we're approaching something and I don't know whether it's a turn in the road I'm not going to postulate what it is but sometimes when the pressure of the moment becomes so great we don't really know how to respond to it I'm going to talk to you today about some of those things if you have your Bibles or your iPads or your iPhones or your scroll or whatever it is that you're looking I'd like for you to look in the book of Joshua chapter 5 this is a particular message I spoke to with the avian Chinese Church in Tel Aviv yesterday and I felt this this is what I really feel like needs to be said right now this time and by the way and they those books and things and there are okay I'm going to do something because I don't really know any other way to do it they have a few books and a few DVDs of the movie one night with the king the book that they have there it's the novel that the movie was based on and I had in my office grab I just did this on I've never done it before I said don't don't grab the regular books I want you to get the pre the advance copies that's what they make for me to send out to friends and things to look at as I'm finishing a book and it says at the top it's like not for sale it's advanced reading and there were a few changes and grammatical things but those are not for sale and if you would like to read one night with the hadassah which is the story of Esther you probably know that and how God picked a peasant girl up thrust her in the palace in the limelight you pass by and you you're welcome to just take one of those now the movie you got to pay for but the book I want to bless you with guys with that and and if you promise to do one thing will you pray for me when I leave here I'll be going to speak in Kiev and I'm home for about a week and then off to Colombia South America and that's what I do I could use some prayer I have had one miracle in my life I do not get jet lag it's true I don't get it you want you want that anointing I wish I could just give it my wife it just it lays her low but for some reason I don't get jet lag I get tired but I don't I don't fight the jet lag thing so pray for something else in my life wisdom something great like that got your Bibles you ready Joshua chapter 5 now it would it's kind of important to understand what's going on in Joshua Josh the fourth chapter of Joshua it's a they've crossed the Jordan River and in all honesty Joshua I need to give you a title breaking the spirit of intimidation how many of you have ever been intimidated some of you're so intimidated you wouldn't even raise your hand write to him break that thing off of you Joshua is sort of given short shrift and when it comes to leadership and and what happens in fact is his book of the Bible's really not that long and he stands in the shadow of a mighty Moses I mean Moses was the man anybody that can stretch their rod across the Red Sea and do all of those things he was the man but Joshua was amazingly enough able to accomplish some things that Moses was never able to do and he's got a book in the Bible you don't have a book in the Bible named after you so Joshua is amazing Moses led the children of Israel up to the Jordan River but Joshua led them through the Jordan River Moses led them up to their promised land but moment but Moses led them up to their promised land but Joshua led them into their promise how many of you are ready to move into your promise you ready for that if I were putting a label on biblical characters and then I don't know pastor Wayne probably has a whole lot more knowledge than I do about biblical characters I'm amazed at what he's done I mean he speaks Hebrew he's just amazing guy I'm a little Cajun boy from Louisiana so I don't know everything but I do think I know this that Joshua is the bravest character in the Bible I'm going to prove it to you and I'm going to maybe you'll agree with me maybe you won't but I think he's the bravest character in the Bible and facing the things that we might be facing facing the things that Israel might be facing facing the things that the the body of Christ the church might be facing sometimes we need less intimidation and a little more faith and so I'm going to try to vaccinate you with faith like Joshua had he in the fourth chapter they crossed the river in the fifth chapter they're moving into the land and there they're going to possess the land they're going to take the land we we like for God to deliver our promises to us on a silver platter I'm in hotels a lot in our I really like it by the way it's very nice to stay in a place that's not a hotel right now they got me an amazing place here but in in hotels you have this thing called room service you know where that is right where you pick up the phone you don't even have to get out of bed and you call I want some food bring me a cheeseburger whatever they bring it right to you and and you mean it's just amazing it's like sometimes we want God to do that with our promises we want to phone in the request and never even get out of bed lift our finger come on god I need can you give me a room service destiny just just right right right to me out room 429 or whatever it is and and and we want we want God but generally speaking when God gave the children of Israel a promise it wasn't room service he would say that's yours now go take it and I will help you but they had to fight for everything that God prods promises are worth fighting for well I'm preaching better than you're saying Amen already God's promises are worth fighting for and when they're approaching now when they cross the river they approach the city the first city that needs to be conquered because remember it's not room service the first city that needs to be conquered is Jericho and verse 13 is going to be sort of where we hang our hat to not our whatever your coat it's where we're going to hang out joshua 5:13 joshua is approaching jericho the bible says when he drew near jericho depending on what translation you're reading from when he drew near jericho some people never conquer anything because they never confront anything they want to phone in their request for their destiny when joshua drew near jericho he wasn't drawing near ignorantly in fact joshua was one of only two people who who were alive at this point who actually knew what the problems were that they were about to face and he was not intimidated he was he was walking right up on it it's one thing to be ambushed by a problem but it's another thing to know what the problem is and willingly walk toward it some people when it's a problem they just stand back and say god can you send a missile or something and take care of that but with Joshua says he drew near Jericho what was the biggest problem with Jericho come talk to me the walls Bible said the walls of Jericho were so thick that at the top two chariots could ride side by side a chariots are roughly the same width as a modern automobile so picture a wall that's so thick that there's a two-lane highway on the top and we also know that people lived up there Rahab lived on the walls of Jericho so it's two-lane highway with condos and Joshua is absolutely aware of how thick how tall how impenetrable because 40 years before when the children of Israel had gotten close to their promise Moses sent out 12 spies you remember that story and the spies came back with this report that said this is it guys we've been for 40 years we've been traveling across the wilderness this is where we want to go it flows with milk and honey they were I mean when you use adjectives and adverbs like that when you use descriptive terms it flows with milk and honey you're you're really reaching out there they're talking about an amazing place they came back with with with fruit from that land in fact you guys live here so you understand but virtually every pastor I go preach for in the States and I walk in their office if if they've been to Israel you know what the one souvenir they're going to have some statue of those two guys holding a stick with a cluster of grapes am i right how many of you seem like that the and the grapes almost touch the ground do you understand if that was to scale you know the grapes would be as big as basketballs so they're coming back with this great look at this if you've been traveling across the Sinai wilderness for all of that time you're saying yes this is the place we are so ready for this look at the fruit this is this is going to be an amazing thing and yet when the the 10 of those spies when they finish their report they put a PS at the end you know what PS is that means after I've said everything else I thought of what was really important and I put it at the end and if you ever get a PS usually do you ever skip right down and read that you don't want to admit it but you you do they they're PS was yes milk yes honey yes amazing yes fruits yes bountiful harvest PS there be giants here and for whatever reason the children of Israel were so intimidated by the the problem Giants that they lost contact with their promise in fact they believed the magnitude of the problem more than they believed the certainty of their promise they were more impressed by what the problem was than they were impressed by what God's promise was and they got their eyes off the prize and they hand-wringing and and and brow mopping and and gnashing of teeth that Giants what are we going to do and what's up interesting to me is the other two the sort of Minority Report of the of the spies was Joshua and Caleb and they didn't say clean your glasses guys there there's no Giants there they didn't they didn't say oh you're making that up or not they just said we're able in other words they didn't deny that there was not a problem they just affirmed that God was the solution I'm trying to preach to you this just the this afternoon I'm trying to help you understand something that that intimidation makes you focus on the problem faith makes you focus on the promise when Joshua and Caleb said we're able they didn't and I faith does not deny that a problem exists faith doesn't even belittle faith doesn't say oh you suck no those weren't Giants those were those were normal people they didn't say any of that faith just says I don't care if they are Giants the faith does not say no that I understand what the doctor said but I have a different report my report will supersede that report whose report will you believe I choose to believe the report of the Lord and when Joshua and Caleb came back they said hey we saw all of those things but we can do this we're able but it's like a an epidemic of fear swept through the whole nation and they were they were just so overcome by their fear it was like a an epidemic of the flu do you guys hear in Israel I don't know that but you know every flu season do they like want everybody to get shots and stuff like they do in the US do they do that here oh man it's a big thing right about now they're trying to tell everybody in the US oh where you need to get your your annual flu shot and why because the flu season is will come when the weather gets cold and etc and so everybody goes and they they get their shot well the I'll call it the fear flu that's good innit the fear flu ran rampant through the whole nation they were they were sick they had the fear fever they were they were they were suffering except for Joshua and Caleb and because they were so fearful God said okay no you don't have to that's all right we'll wait until you're over this and then you can go on with your destiny ah I see you didn't get that when you don't get it I have to tell you a story my my three-year-old grandson he we have a pool in our backyard and he's learning to swim this year and so we're teaching him not to not to really be afraid of the water he was a little bit afraid and too you know we put these floaties on him and say okay now jump in Joe and I like to get in there sit come on jump jump to pop off jump jump and he'll say get closer I get closer to you jump jump get closer finally I'm so close that my hands are touching his and then he says okay now a jump and he wants he wants me right there and but by the end of this summer of man he was so brave in fact he lost his fear of water and without floaties or anything but he when we'd say we want to go swimming in fact one time he jumped in before we could eat and his mother had to jump in after him because he doesn't understand you can really drowned in that he looks at me sometimes I'll just be swimming and he'll just run and jump I'm not even looking because he has such confidence that his Papa is not going to drop him and that I will take care of him so now he's totally over he has faith in me the Bible said we need to become like a little child do you understand that God is standing in the deep end of your destiny and he's saying come on come on jump jump go and for you not to take that leap of faith it's literally like you're saying I don't trust you you're going to drop me you can't take care of me well I understand it really that's a posture of immaturity because if my if my grandson didn't jump this year I would say okay we'll wait till next summer maybe you'll be you'll have maturity maybe you know that you can you can trust me I'm not going to drop you when the children of Israel would not take that leap of faith and they they wouldn't go after because they they caught that fear flue God said okay no problem we'll wait til next generation it's not next summer it's next generation it's ok we'll we'll do this again and I'll stand here and I'll try to get you to come across and we'll go through this whole process again in meantime take another lap around the wilderness and 40 years later they come back to the same place that they were knew from friends I don't want to wait 40 years I don't want to wait 40 months I don't want to wait 40 days when God has enough confidence to say it's time let's go do this I want to have that spirit of Joshua that says we can do it amazingly enough or interestingly enough I should say when they got back to the that same spot all of those that caught the fear flew they didn't survive they died in the wilderness the only ones that survived were Joshua and Caleb and if I could use that analogy what I'm really trying to do this afternoon is I'm trying to get you to roll up your sleeves so I can give you an inoculation of faith so that when fear comes upon you when when you read the newspaper when you see the news when you hear that when you get this phone call that you are vaccinated by faith so that fear doesn't keep you out of your destiny look at somebody next year and tell them I am NOT I refuse to be intimidated oh you aren't better look look at them and say you don't intimidate me yeah I saw some some men look toward their wives and look for somebody else to say that to I don't know have you ever seen how many people it takes to hold down a four year old when they get there their first round of shots or so it's like you know one for each arm one for the leg and a sumo wrestler to sit on them and finally sometimes believers are that way they can get so fearful that but I'm gonna give you this inoculation that's the same spirit that Joshua had he knew how thick the walls were because he had been inside those walls he knew he had been he had been staying in a house on top of those walls yet when he's marching toward them it's not with ignorance faith is not meaning faith does not mean that you're unaware of a problem faith means that you're totally aware of a problem but you're more conscious of your God than you are the problem you didn't get it another story right okay how do you some people's how do I get my mind off the problem okay I'm going to give you an illustration if I if I pull out a 20 shekel note a bill and I lay it here and I say okay if you can forget about that 20 shekels laying here I will give it to you I think I'll do that I'm having a little you know I want to make sure you got it there I think I've got something right here yeah there we go oh I got a 20 okay so I lay this 20 shekel note right here now if you'll forget about that I'll give it to you how can how can you forget about that I'll tell you how you can forget about it because if I lay this here you forgot about that already right some people get so fixated on their problem that they they can't see their solution but if you can ever get your eyes on how big your God is then it's easy for you to forget about the size of your problem it's where your focus goes you got it okay some of you want to know what is it is he really going to give that to me if you can forget about it Joshua it's not that he didn't he'd forgotten about how big the walls were in fact everybody else that was alive they they only heard the stories but Joshua knew exactly how big how tall how impenetrable and he's marching the the first passage of the little little snippet that I read to you and he drew near Jericho I want to say it again you cannot conquer what you do not confront he walks right up to it and then the next line says and he looked up you know what that means Hebrew watching me very closely this is what it means did you get that don't need to do it slower have you ever faced a problem that was so big that when you got to it you had to look up sometimes that's what we're facing sometimes that as the people as a church as the nation that's what that's what you face sometimes but here's what I suggest to you that Joshua did he didn't just look halfway up after he looked at what is he looking up to he's looking up he's seeing the walls that's part of it and after he looks up at the walls I have to believe that he didn't just look halfway up but he kept looking up and he looked higher than the walls and he saw his god that was bigger than his walls that he was facing on that day don't when you face a problem don't just look up at the size of your problem it's okay go ahead look up and see it but after you've looked halfway up then look all the way up and the Bible says that God sits high and he looks low that heaven is his throne and earth is his footstool your God is bigger than any problem that you might be facing so don't be intimidated by your problem be inspired by his promises hallelujah how many of you are holding on to a promise a word that God gave you something that he's told you I need to get your eyes and your focus on that he looked up yes he saw the walls but the next line says and he saw a man standing in front of him with a drawn sword in his hand and Joshua went up to him and asked are you for us or for our enemies I'm starting to feel pretty amazed by Joshua's bravery now I mean he walks up to a guy with a sword out in his hand and says are you a friend or an enemy would you a sword would been the would have been the most technologically advanced close combat weapon of its day the modern equivalent would be a pistol and actually we are custom listen.i twittered something I love Twitter that's how we hooked up you know did any of you guys Twitter listen face you know there's two denominations in the world Facebook denomination and the Twitter I am a member of the Twitter congregation I visit the Facebook Church every once in a while but kidney I posted on Twitter yesterday out I went to there was a Starbucks around went to the Starbucks and I'm standing in line and a guy with an you know automatic rifles standing behind me and I said only place in the world where I feel very secure about somebody in Starbucks with an automatic rifle in Israel so you guys are a little bit accustomed to that but when you see like a security guard and there are policemen and they have the pistol as long as it's in the holster you actually probably feel safe in case something happens they're here but I want to propose something to when they when they pull that pistol out and start waving it around the atmosphere changes I know it's there for your protection but anytime you see anybody with with the gun out and they're waving it around what what do you do I put my glasses on because I want to discern the truth here this is church you have to tell the truth what do you do run away not my man Joshua the guy pulls out the sword waving it around and Joshua's walked up so are you a friend or an enemy ladies and gentlemen I I grew up in Louisiana New Orleans you know about New Orleans didn't even know New Orleans and hurricanes and Bourbon Street it's New Orleans can be a rough place I understand rough I grew up around all of that there are bars in New Orleans that if you walk inside there's a metal detector to see if you're carrying a weapon when you walk in and if you don't have one they give you one just to make it all equal so I understand but I've never when somebody starts waving a pistol around I never walked up and said hey dude are you a friend or an enemy yeah but Joshua that's why I'm telling you the more I learn about Joshua the more I am convinced he's the bravest dude in the Bible he just walks right up to waving it around and he says are you a friend or an enemy and the man answers him verse 14 the man says neither I don't know that's kind of scary I'm not a friend or an enemy and he identifies himself I'm commander of the army of the Lord there's a couple schools have thought about this if he's commander of the army of the Lord there there's one school of thought thinks that it's actually Messiah which means that theophany it's it's God showing up himself there but and and that that's entirely possible but it's also possible that it could be when he says I'm captain of the Lord's army typically we think in terms of the army as being the angelic angelic host and that the warrior angel that's over that is Michael so it could be Michael could be it doesn't matter whether it's Michael or it's it's a Jehovah revealing himself at this point when Joshua walked up oh I forgot what do you know if God shows that or an angel the same angel um what do you know about angels talk to me see we tend to have a Western worldview of angels and maybe even a influenced by February 14th mindset so we picture angels as a little chubby cheeked fat footed infants with a diaper wrapped around them shooting a tiny bow being oh you're in love okay can I tell you that's not the biblical worldview of an angel angels are huge if anybody ever just offhandedly says oh I saw an angel and they're not shaking in their boots trust me it wasn't really an angel something else or at least he was in disguise but when when Joshua walks up to this man with a sword drawn in his hand this angelic or possibly a theophany of God walks up and says are you a friend or an enemy and the man answers and says no I'm captain of the Lord's army it's almost like you said no no no I'm on your side I forgot Angels are big right they're scary when God wanted to keep Adam and Eve out of the garden angels with swords at this point Joshua we know how old he is he's past 80 years old so this is no testosterone-fueled teenager this is this is an old guy this is are you a friend or an enemy he's ready to fight and it's almost like this dis being says no no here's what's amazing this is what shocked me every other time in the scripture when either God or an angelic being appeared it was a known encounter the first words from the angel was always the words fear not except from my man Joshua he went gangster on him are you afraid what right up waving the sword giant being I mean when when I read about other people having similar type encounters from Mary the mother of Jesus but when she had the encounter with the angel that said you're gonna have a baby the first words that she had to say to Mary who had to be amazingly but an amazing person was a fear not I don't have a sort it's just birth announcement you're gonna have a baby don't don't be afraid it's okay I went through the Bible because it pastor Wayne he make him find something but I cannot find where anyone else that had an encounter it this dissimilar to this in fact I even studied about animals having angelic encounters there was biblical accounts of that there was a prophet that was going to do something God didn't want him to do riding his donkey and the donkey saw an angel and the donkey I mean first of all what does it tell you when a donkey can see something that a prophet can't was it tell you about that prophet and the prophet saying come on let's go and the donkeys that not going there and donkeys are not known for their intelligence right but smart enough to know see that no way not Joshua he is not afraid that's what I want to get it through to you he's not intimidated it's almost like I see the angel others are the being as Joshua walks up and he's not a nun commander of the Lord don't kick my toe I'm on your side I mean Joshua Israel some people say well the reason Joshua walked up to him as he knew it was an angel I beg to differ with you if he had known it was a heavenly being the conversation wouldn't have been are you a friend or an enemy it would have been something like man am I glad to see you here have you seen those walls we could use some help Joshua did not know and Bible says in chapter 6 verse 1 that the walls of Jericho the gates were shut tight so if you see somebody with a weapon standing in front of a locked door it's easy to make the assumption they're guarding that and Joshua said I don't know whether you're guarding that or you're here to help us but if you're guarding it let's get ready to rumble why I'm ready and he says I'm captain of the Lord's army that means it's not just one there's a whole army that's just the first one Joshua's ready to take them all oh I forgot something else Joshua doesn't the Bible doesn't say he even had a sword in his hand man but it doesn't say a man with the promise in his heart is more powerful than an enemy with a weapon in his hand I'm preaching to some of you right now you may say I don't have anything I don't have anything in my hand I don't have enough money in my hand I don't have enough education I don't have the right connections I'm asking do you have a promise have you got a word from God then you just need to keep moving forward and no weapon formed against you shall prosper give God some praise right now what you do it hallelujah Joshua walks up to this gigantic being says are you a friend or an enemy I'm on your side Joshua falls face down and and he's some people faint when they see the problem Joshua fell prostrate when he saw the solution in this is that this is the last little piece that I want to unwrap for you today I don't want to pray for you if this being is whose own Joshua side has the weapon drawn it tells me that this heavenly being has been waiting for Joshua to get there it's like I'm ready we are on go it's not like okay all the rest of the army here put get your stuff ready they they saw them coming and they were ready to join the battle the weapons already drawn they're on high alert which tells me they've been waiting and then that made me ask the question you know I'm a writer I make movies and write books and I said I wonder how long those heavenly beings and that army which I know has to be the Angels I wonder how long that army of angels were waiting and I that's what I think I think that they've been waiting there for 40 years because God never promises what he cannot provide and I believe when the children of Israel came to that River 40 years before I believe that God sent a battalion of angels and said just camp around Jericho and when my people get there reveal yourself and join the fight which gave me a whole different we we know angels kept around those that fear the Lord the angels are around the believers but this is another concept that God before you even arrived at a problem before you get there you know you've got that doctor's appointment Thursday before you get to it you know you had that legal thing coming up you know you have that visa issue coming up you understand all of that before you ever get there God can send angels to camp out not just around you but they're camped out around your problem waiting for you to arrive there and then they're going to reveal themselves to you hallelujah then the Angels I don't know what do angels do for 40 years sip Starbucks sharpen their soulard you know we thought we were going to be having a fight here but now we've been waiting some of you have some believers some of you perhaps have unemployed angels that are waiting on you to arrive there but you're so afraid you're going to stand at a distance and you want room service deliverance and God is saying no get close to the problem then I will reveal the solution if you stand back from it you'll never know what the hand of the Lord can do David couldn't have phoned in his victory with the giant he had to show up on the battlefield not knowing what God was going to do sometimes God wants you to just simply show up and then he will show out but until you show up you'll never know what his answer is you can focus on the problem or you can focus on the solution Joshua my man he just kept walking bumped right into the problem and saw the solution when he got there I want you to understand that the God is in the deep end of your destiny he's think come on God was like on the other side of Jordan come on come on come on guys can I get you to just get close when you stand at a distance and you just see giant beings and you come back and say guys let me tell you something don't go there there's huge big and they're afraid you wouldn't know that they're on your side which when I when I contemplated this I said God is that possible and God talks to me crazy Tommy not every giant is against you most of the time when we read or hear stories about giants there are always the enemy and so we've got a mindset if it's big it's a problem but I want you to understand not every giant is against you God has some Giants ready to fight for you God has some angelic warriors waiting to pull their sword out just waiting for you to move forward in your destiny you've got some praise one more time look at that person next to you and say I'm not afraid I feel faith in this room I feel like you've gotten an inoculation of faith when Joshua said what do you want us to do well we want we want to do something the angel says Joshua first of all take your shoes off you're on holy ground I understand what you know what the word holy literally means it means set apart for God belongs to God so the angel said Joshua take your shoes off the ground you're standing on already belongs to God in other words you think you're standing on your problem but you're already standing on your promise and you just don't know it take your shoes off oh I'm preaching to some of you right now maybe there's another meaning to it take your shoes off remember the promise to Abraham he said every place the soul of your your foot not the bottom of your shoe not the bottom of your sandal but the sole of your foot is it possible that the angel said Joshua you want to know what to do okay can you just take your shoe off and touch the ground and it's like touching the ground was the own switch for the Angels to start their process because it until you take your shoe off because at your shoe don't count it you have to come in contact you cannot conquer what you never come in contact with take your shoe off and then then we'll start this whole process I'm preaching to some if you ever thought about why we lay hands on people what is it about my touch on you or so you're two we all prayed they prayed for me you prayed for one another that's good but do you understand that when you touch that what you're saying to that illness to that infirmity what you're saying is I am not intimidated by you to come in contact with your problem you got a letter at home this bothering you don't ignore it pick it up walk around with it wave it to God touch it why I'm not intimidated you need a new apartment find the one you like walk up to the door when nobody's there and secretly pull some oil out need a car find it go up to it what are you doing I just won't touch it down I'm preaching to you maybe there's another real deep theological meaning of take your shoe off when you get home from this service after this long-winded preacher when you walk back in here your your house your apartment wherever you live what's what's the first thing you're going to do when you walk in take your shoes off why why would you do that talk to me why your home your house get comfortable maybe that's what the angel was saying relax Joshua take your shoes off your home this is your place I want you to get comfortable with what God has for you I feel his presence in here I feel faith in this room stand up right now would you just do that find two or three people around them round us just tell them I refuse to be intimidated I refuse I refuse I refuse the Bible says about Caleb that he was of another spirit I think Joshua was too they just had something about them when the fear flew took everybody else out faith kept them alive I want to pray for you for an impartation of that spirit of Joshua stretch your hands out toward me right now father I pray for my new friends I pray for the the people in this room I don't really know what they're facing I'm not sure what the name of their problem is for Joshua it was Jericho for them it could be the visa for them it could be health for them it could be a relationship unraveling I don't know but God you know I speak faith into their hearts I speak faith into their lives I speak faith into their circumstances father I'd break that spirit of intimidation I break off the spirit of fear perfect love cast out all fear like my grandson says my grandfather loves me therefore I can trust him I speak I speak love and trust you will never promise what you cannot deliver I speak that over the lives of this people here today in the name of Yeshua Messiah I speak it right now in his name amen hallelujah did the Word of God come alive but they did tell Joshua to do one thing they said Joshua so I want to do something no wonder to do something okay Josh guess what you do can you provide the music you just march around and worship and we'll take care of all this I mean we're we're big we got it that teaches me something else when we worship angels war surround your problem with worship it puts the Angels to work for you and on that last day they worshiped even more don't let time rob from you the intensity of your worship don't worship less now than you used to worship less absolutely worship greater the Bible says on that last day when they lifted up a shout what happened how about we do that one time lift up a shout of praise hallelujah praise the name of the Lord
