Break-in and sighting a New Rifle with Randy Newberg

[Music] hey folks you saw that I told the world what I'd up to with hawa and all the new experiments were doing this year well leupold sent me a bunch of ex5 scopes to put on these new house and I'm out at my range I'm gonna boresight that one I'm gonna break in the barrel and before all of you tell me or a few of you tell me oh barrel break-ins a waist that's fine then don't watch the barrel break-in part but I always do it how it recommends that nozzoli recommend that then I'm gonna get it dialed and zeroed you're gonna see how we do this with the new rifle once I get a scope mounted I want to boresight it that's just kind of getting the general location I mean it's not perfect and leupold makes this zero point illuminated bore sighter you just turn it on depending on what size what height the rings you you use for your scope it's probably going to be somewhere between an inch and a quarter and an inch and 3/4 it's kind of close I don't want to say it perfect I'll take a shot see if I end up on paper made and shot from the new write the break-in process what it'll be is I'll shoot one clean the barrel let it cool the ambient temperature shoot another one clean where I'll repeat that process for 10 and then I'll do two and then clean and cool two more clean and cool till I'm done with 20 rounds then I'll use this break-in period to kind of move myself a little closer to where I want to be I was low in right now I'm high in love so once I'm done with my twenty rounds I give this Barrel really good scrub and then it's time to get serious about getting this dialed in they're just stacking in like that we got this baby just we've only done nine rounds through this thing and ready cranking it out there at 400 meters I was getting my elevation to where I wanted so it hit there then down here and then you'll see here's a group of three not as great as I'd like right there there and there the next group of three two of them are touching ones hi here's the last group of three one two three trust me I'm usually not capable of that so with the CTS from loopholed what you do and you can feel there's pretty good wind here today but you just keep marching it down until you get your elevations correct that was me there but then you see the next group had two touching in that one next group all three of them are touching that is going to be a how a handshake er right there thanks for watching
