the whole of this prophetic presentation and series was designed for this session true prophet or divination this is what this whole thing was designed for and we are seeing in many places false prophets we're seeing divination sometimes witchcraft which is not blatant witchcraft some of it is manipulation and stuff like that so we we want to work with that because what's happening is that it's deceiving many and we have to deal with the spirit of deception there's been an outbreak in parts of Africa the prophetic anointing and there's been a tremendous amount of abuse misuse misappropriation where in certain countries even politicians now have private profits that they pay they on staff and before they do political campaigns or anything political they put a demand on that prophetic ministry to prophesy and it becomes more like fortune-telling you know reading hands and palms and tea leaves and all of that and and easily there is a marked difference and some of that we're seeing in in various ministries where some of the prophetic ministry under the guise of prophetic ministry is is moving in the area of divination you know the fact that people can call out names and telephone numbers in order that does not mean that they prophetic doesn't mean that and we have to examine the fruit of a thing if you want to know what a tree is you got to look at this fruit and what's the fruit that's being produced from that so we want to walk through some of that we'll start on page 34 of our manual the test of a true prophet and here we're going to allow the scripture to interpret Scripture we deliberately didn't give you these scriptures in the earlier presentations because we didn't want them to lose their impact as they're being presented so the test of a true prophet that here's somebody that functions in the office and in the ministry of the prophetic number one does the word come to pass Deuteronomy 13 verse 1 2 3 and Deuteronomy chapter 18 verse 15 through 20 a similar verses and they read such if they arise among you a prophet I notice he will arise she will arise among us or a dreamer of dreams and gives you a sign or a wonder and the sign or the one that come to pass whereof he spoke and the saying is let us go after other gods which you have not known and let us serve them you will not hearken unto the words of that prophet in other words what is laying down here is the premise for the prophetic if a man is a prophet that has been raised up with the ability to do signs wonders see dreams visions function in that Lane of Revelation if they get up and say we have to follow other gods in other words deviate from the principles of the Word of God even though they've got a prophetic anointing that person is not of God that prophecy is not of God and so this is before Deuteronomy is written before what we would call hermeneutics which was the founder and originator of hermeneutics as you know was described Israel when the tribes came back from Babylon from the synagogue's the synagogue was founded during the Babylonian slavery and just a quick history of the synagogue which some of you may know some of you may not but it was required that every individual Deuteronomy 16:16 every man comes to Jerusalem at the feast three times a year and the Bible says you shall not return to the temple empty you come with an offering and so it was required that people go to the temple a minimum of three times a year Passover feast of weeks which is Pentecost and the Feast of Tabernacles which was three particular feast the blowing of trumpets the Day of Atonement and the Feast of habitations or Tabernacles and every man had to come with an offering and so the temple the tabernacle the temple was the focal place for worship and then in chapter 17 of 2nd Kings when the slavery begins and they are displaced in Babylon through 120 provinces they were they were not enough priests that were trained in the Levitical Aaronic priesthood order to minister to the people and so because people would displace throughout 120 provinces synagogues began and the synagogue was led by a leader that was not a priest but somebody that had some sort of knowledge of the Torah some sort of understanding of the scriptures and they would then lead the people and what happened in that time many of these leaders of the synagogue like Jairus was a leader of the synagogue it was not the temple they would have their own interpretation of the scripture so they are books now that you can purchase and I've got a couple like the Mishnah it's a very tough read but it's a thick book like this that has rabbinic interpretations of scriptures of what their the rabbi feels the Prophet the writer or what God meant pertaining to a person and so when the slavery ended and this deluge of individuals came to Jerusalem scribes and and leaders synagogue leaders when they came to Jerusalem each of them came with their own interpretations of what the Torah was so Ezra the chief scribe who was the master among them set up the science and the art of hermeneutics which is the interpretation of the scripture and he laid down the laws of how scriptures must be interpreted and one of our modern scribes and Ezra's is Kevin Connor anything by Kevin Connor is a must if you don't have any of Kevin Conners works then you really haven't arrived Kevin Connor is a tremendous apostolic voice that God raised up he's originally from Australia his son-in-law who is also pretty amazing and his written books like the making of a leader and so on and so forth however in his manuscript and teaching manual the interpreting of scriptures or basic hermeneutics and you can download some of this off the internet some of it is for free this last political semester I taught hermeneutics to our our ministry and pastoral class and it was really an interesting lesson but in hermeneutics it's in congruence with the scripture in Deuteronomy where the Prophet if he goes against fundamental theological biblical positions even though he's anointed as a prophet if he violates the basic premise of the Scriptures he is a false prophet do not follow him I was a long way to say just then Deuteronomy chapter number 8 and verse 15 the Lord God will raise up unto you a prophet in the midst of you of your brethren those are very important principles like unto me as Moses talkin unto Him that's the Prophet will you listen you listen to this Prophet raised among you because when you obey that word you will prosper according to all that you desire of the Lord that's according to your need whatever your need is God will raise up a prophet to meet that need and verse number 17 and the Lord as the Lord God has said unto me they have well spoken that they have spoken I will raise up unto them a prophet from among their brethren like unto you and I will put my words in his mouth and he shall speak unto the people all that I command him so the Prophet speaks on behalf of God and he shall come to pass that whether whosoever will not listen unto my words that I spoke in' I will require each of them but the Prophet which shall presume to speak a word in my name that I have not commanded that individual is not a prophet he is a false prophet even that prophet shall die and then numbers 12 verse 6 that is God's conversation with the first family he said ya now my was if there be a prophet among you I the Lord will make myself known unto them in visions and in dreams so he's laying on the premise for the prophetic ministry and so their strong implications that they are the genuine and is the counterfeit Jesus said one of the characteristics of the last days is that many shall come in my name many false prophets shall rise but they will be genuine authentic prophets let's go to John first John chapter 4 verse 1 2 3 beloved believe not every spirit but try the spirits whether they be of God we get impressed with all kinds of things we become enamored by the spectacular but you have to examine the fruit after examine the fruit how does a person conduct themselves down they conduct their lives their soul and so all of these things are fruit what kind of converts are they making are they making any conference is there repentance is there genuine fruit in the lives of people that are ministered to if those things don't show then that prophetic word is divination because they are depending on the spectacular to mess with the people's minds and that's not that that's not of God that's not of God and so number one does the prophets word come to pass a number of years ago there were a couple of prophets that prophesy in the city of Hong Kong in 1997 the city of Hong Kong was going back from British rule from 90 from 1897 the British had taken over Hong Kong and they were given 100 year lease of the city and the city of Hong Kong flourished and thrived under British rule the governor of Hong Kong was a British appointee by the British government but in 1997 China wanted their their city back and so in 1997 there were all kinds of prophetic words being released amongst many many mega churches that when China takes back Hong Kong there's going to be bloodshed in Hong Kong people are going to be losing their properties and so on and so forth and many many believers sold properties sold their businesses for pennies on the dollar and moved from Hong Kong many of them to the United States a lot to Great Britain and when the Chinese took over Hong Kong and this is now almost what 13 14 15 years later none of that has happened but none of those prophets that presented that word apologized and were made to account for that they were not made to account for that which is irresponsibility and so those fellows whoever they are I know a couple of names they still prophesying in certain places well they not accountable for the false prophecy they gave there then a couple of fellows are saying well the reason the reason that didn't happen is because of the grace of God that came upon the nation well be that as it may it's a real cheap cop-out does the word come to pass that's the first thing chest number two is the prophecy accurate is the prophecy accurate Jeremiah 27 verse 16 and tedious reading but let's just go through it also I spoke to the priests and to all this people saying thus saith the Lord how can not unto the words of your prophets that prophesy hunt are you saying behold the vessels of the lord of the house are now shortly be brought again from babylon for they shall prophesy a lie to you in other words these are feel good make you feel good prophets you know how cannot unto them serve the king of babylon and live and so on and so forth and so is giving a great differentiation between what's true and what's not true and it's giving a specific word they say there's a bunch of guys here they're gonna stand up here and give a prophetic word that's not accurate it's not accurate the problem facing the people of God is that prophets are saying so many different things now I know we are in the season and in a time where God is visiting the body of Christ with prosperity and blessing but when you start having prophetic gifts rise up that start calling names or in giving people houses and cars and all of that we have to be very careful this is a very fine line between that is sometimes we can exhort you know because I'm a prosperity preacher and an enablement preacher a lot of times I'll be pronouncing and declaring and making statements in terms of exhortation of what God is going to do and what God can do but when we have direct directed words and individuals and we're saying that this will happen if that word doesn't come to pass it's a false prophecy and we have to be made accountable for those prophecies and so it's not a method of just prophesying is can we be accountable for what's been said and as it does it come to pass okay being accurate is important in fact there's something intersted in Jarama interesting in jeremiah chapter number 18 where the scripture talks about Jeremiah's confrontation with one of the major prophets in the kingdom and there was one person that Jeremiah says that you know even if you prophesy correctly that doesn't make you necessarily a prophet because sometimes the prophetic word is contingent upon a person's office over and above what they say everyone say the prophetic number three I'm breezing with this number three on page 37 does God intervene and reprove the prophet there is a a picture I think it's in first case second Kings chapter number 13 13 or 14 where there's a young prophet that sent to speak to Jeroboam it's chapter 13 and to rebuke the altar and the Lord said when you rebuke that altar say thus says the Lord unto the house of Israel this idolatrous system will not stand and after you've rebuked that altar know this do not in do not take anything to eat do not take anything from anybody just leave so the young prophet goes there he prophesized on the altar the altar explodes Jeroboam tries to grab him to assault him and his hands rules when his hands shrivel Jeroboam says please pray for me and the Prophet does and the Kings hand is restored then Jeroboam says to him I says I want to reward you I want to give you something he said no I'm not allowed to take anything I'm not allowed to touch anything I'm not allowed to eat anything so this prophet then leaves and goes on his way now on his way back to Judah he comes and sit under an oak tree and an older prophet who had already sold his ministry lost his ministry heard about this deal and so he comes to the young man finds him under the tree and said I just heard from God I just heard from the Lord and the Lord said is it okay for you to eat now the young guy knew the old prophet and trusted his word but didn't test that word against what God had said to him so the young fella came and ate and the scripture says a lion came from nowhere and killed that young prophet and just stood over him and the older properties left him there because now he had disqualified a younger man now the challenge here is that we have had a generation that's lost his prophetic clout and what God is doing is raising up younger prophets to speak and minister into a nation and these things that we are not to partake of we are not to be part taking of certain meals and diets offered from various people's tables God has prepared a table for us and we have to be very very careful because sometimes you can have an older prophet and this is not indicative of somebody that's been serving longer I'm talking about a system sometimes you can have somebody who's disqualified their ministry that can deliberately give a fourth prophecy to him to what you're doing so you have to try the spirit not to try the spirit you really have to try the spirit now we need prophetic fathers and Apostolic fathers that can bring the kind of guidance to young men and women that are up and coming because the kind of anointing you have is to cause systems to explode and to blow up but you have to stay true to what God has commanded stay true to that calling not every invitation is of God not every platform created not every platform created should we be there not every circle that we invited to we have to be so careful and and personally not only individual life that some of my struggle just really some of my struggle where to be and how to be and so in the last few months we've been going through our mind you know we're trying to work more relationally than just doing conference gigs because you can be a comfort itinerant preacher because you're hot and you yet choose the night day Wednesday Thursday Friday Saturday and then Monday is bombed out of your mind you know and it just can be an itinerate thing I know that people need help and we can minister but we have to we have to watch what places we feed in and and who feeds us not everybody out there that's serving a meal is feeding you so we have to be very careful here because there are times when when God has to intervene and God will remove the Prophet this is true in Jeremiah 28 verse 15 through 17 then said Jeremiah the Prophet to Hananiah the Prophet yahan ania the LORD hath not sent you but you make this people to trust in a lie therefore says thus says the Lord behold I will cast you from off the face of the earth this year you will die because you have taught me billion against the Lord so Hanna nigh the Prophet died that year now if you read the preceding verses this fellow was prophesying some things to the people and the people received him and he had a prophetic anointing on his life but there are times when God will say enough is enough we've seen this in in in other settings you know sometimes a person may be in sexual immorality or leader in a church might be in sexual immorality and it might be hidden and and God will send a warning or God will give grace and that thing will not be revealed but it gets to a place where God will lift his grace off that person because they're about to destroy much and then it's exposed because God will remove he will he will number four past revelation consistency with the word in other words when we when we dealing with the prophetic ministry there are times when people would would preach a doctrine or a philosophy or a Dogma under the guise of prophetic revelation and it's heresy because it doesn't align with consistent theological fundamental principles and if people don't know they would because they have itching ears they won't be able to differentiate between the truth and heresy the Bible says that they will deceive many and the reason its deception is speaking because it is so good it can deceive so there has to be teaching and preaching for people to be aware of an akin to the fact that there's deception and and the the premise for this is number one does the Bible clearly state and teach with at least two or three witnesses what's being taught but that's not good enough are there prophets apostles prophets in the past that taught this principle number three are there ministers that are reputable alive today who are reputable can they teach this well they teach this are they teaching this can they align to this if the answer is no then this is a private interpretation it should not be given the Apostle said that no scripture is of any private interpretation which means that they are private interpretations and sometimes God can speak to a person and they have a private interpretation that should not be taught publicly this Bible can prove almost anything I can pull scriptures and prove that women will not go to heaven don't get nervous so you see but it's the the stuff that we people teach and preach and it's a private interpretation and it's being taught publicly if we're gonna cheat something under the guise of Revelation and it's not been tested by that I mean it's not been rode run it's not been approved by those of your peers it's not been approved by those that are our leaders it should not be a nut must not be taught because chances are it's heresy and so amongst our leaders on our continent we have come to a consensus of ideas and we have said to each other amongst each other that anything we're going to be teaching we wanted to be proved a prophet the scripture says the word must be judged by two or three prophets it's not of any private interpretation so when somebody is prophesying if they are not accountable to anybody for the prophetic ministry it shouldn't be trusted and and I'll tell you this if we have prophetic ministry that's going without somebody there to correct it in case it's not right when you have somebody something that is consistently needing correction and it's not it's a seed that's gonna grow up into a big thing in the future and cause many to be deceived I'll give an example of you an example this fella in Illinois in the 18th century that had a vision of some templates and couldn't read him and an angel came with glasses and when he put the glasses on he suddenly could read this stuff and then started a whole religion and took a bunch of people out into the middle of the desert and they have a religion that's formed out there but there was nobody in the church to correct that foolishness and that's true of almost every false religion and stuff that's going on because when somebody starts that somebody's not there to correct it number five the fruit beware of false prophets say that and it's not saying be aware is not saying be aware he's saying beware beware of false prophets because they come in sheep's clothing but inwardly they are ravening wolves and you shall know them by their fruits all right so there's somebody that says they are prophet all right you say you're a prophet let's see your fruit no fruit no prophet I mean that sounds so simple but it's true you watch the track record of people that say they prophets in the last ten places you ask them the question we'll ask yourself the question in the last ten places they have been what's been the consistent behavior what's been the consistent pattern in terms of the way they behave they conduct their ministry and so on if you look at that you can see the fruit and that fruit should scream at you who they are but we don't check bishop we don't check we just look at charisma magazine and we see a picture there that's appeared three times in one magazine we don't check the next time you want me to come preach for you before you have me come check the last 10 places like being because if I was a certain way in the last 10 places you'd better believe I'm gonna be the same way when I come here if I'm a spoiled brat there I'll be a spread here you will know them by their fruits fruits not fruit fruits which means that they have many many things that should be corrected do men gather grapes of thorns or Apes his communion thorns is the curse - they gather figs of thistles figs his peace this is a generational curses even so every good tree brings forth good fruit but a corrupt tree brings forth evil fruit let the Scriptures speak to you is this thing that's sweeping our country and I got a whole list of emails that came to me this week from a number of pastors complaining about this new prophetic trend in Harare and one of the things that the sponsor was complaining about is that it's alleged that one of these prophets is saying in his church if there are people out there who have been corrected by your leaders and you have been put down and you for whatever reason he said leave your church and come to me I'll lift you up that's a sign that's a sign but people are people just look at somebody and say I hope you're not a people what is fruit fruit is produced by a prophet the results of the prophets work are the results of their lives the result of their words the result of their ministry that's a standard to standard and when you examine that fruit you have to examine that fruit I heard about a preacher one time that needed so much money for his building and one of his elders in the church was very wealthy and the elder was saying I need to think about this and so this alley is to pay his tithes and his special offerings with checks and so the pasta found one of the checks and forged the man's signature for the amount of money to pay for his building and paid for the building got the building and then the man saw this check presented on his account and the church was big the man didn't know what to do and the pastor felt like it was a victory for the kingdom of God because they gained the sole property and so many more people were getting saved but they heard this one individual and this man didn't want to expose his pastor because he would have brought down an entire ministry so him and his wife just silently left the church and the pastor feels today that they they did the right thing because they are a tremendous victory you judge and that behavior is manifesting in other places in in the consistency of bad fruit thorns and thistles not good fruit I was doing an apostolic summit in Johannesburg last year in the month of July and I had a close colleague of ours dr. Becky Hamid Zee he's an intellectual giant he's got several earn PhDs originally from Swaziland he was the first black person on television in southern Africa and it's got a wonderful ministry married a girl from Philadelphia I believe and he was sharing we put together a bit of a panel and he was sharing as part of the panel that when he started his ministry they were a group of men that invited him to a private meeting and so he said just after midnight there abouts the minibus arrived to pick him up and so he went to this private meeting and lo and behold he was taken to a witch doctor because the pastors were paying the witch doctor money to get power to grow their church and he said he ran from that he said one of his close friends paid money and stuff started happening in his church and then after he went several times the witch doctor said I don't want money anymore I now want a life that made me so mad because now I'm saying there's a rich doctor have more power than God's omnipotence I'm saying God where are you God works with process and and everything that's gonna be producing that kind of Kingdom produces rot now that's an extreme circumstance in our part of the world and in West Africa or kinds or kinds of charlatans are being raised up that are drawing hundreds of thousands of people that are functioning under the spirit of divination and performing miracles under the spirit of divination and all kinds of prominent people are going to those churches because of the spectacular and it's a spirit of divination and the end is corruption and death and destruction aware of false prophets not all fire is the fire of God and every miracle comes from God the devil appears as an angel of light and he will deceive many and so we have to teach our people teach them how to recognize wolves and everybody that's coming to all churches is coming to make generous donations because they want to grow the kingdom they wanted to creep their way all the way up to bring down the ministry we are worshipping many times they are people that are in our church that are speaking in tongues and if our people are not trained we'll think that somebody's speaking under the utterance of the Holy Spirit when they're actually speaking demonic tongues and cursing your church and sitting in the pew and raising their hands but cussing and putting hexes on the pulpit and you wonder why you're sick and you money's frozen and the baptism pool hasn't worked in a while and why nobody see the Holy Spirit in months it's because we have people that don't recognize that spirit that's Antichrist in our churches let's there's prophetic dreams we'll skip that let's go to page 40 the spirit of divination the spirit of divination and there's a number of great books on prophetic dreams you can get those just google it and you'll get a list of some of those the spirit of divination Samuel II is the last of the judges he's the first of the prophets Samuel is in a very difficult place because according to the law the high priest when he dies will release his anointing to his son the oldest son and so when Samuel is he was a miracle child by Hanna when he was a little fella just after he was weaned she took him to Eli and every year Hanna who was a prophetic intercessor would build him a cloak a coat a mini fort and it was good enough for one year so she knew exactly how he would grow in a year she predicted his spiritual growth it's like a tree planted by the rivers of water you can tell how all it is when you cut it it has an annual ring it as a record of its growth in one year that's why you are like a tree if you don't have a record of your growth in one year you dying and so Samuel is there and at the age of nine which is the number of birthing God's calls him three times and the third time Eli says because the boy is going to three consecutive times is the next time you hear this voice ask God to speak to you and Samuel does that and at the age of nine God puts this spiritual agenda which includes the political social economic agenda for Israel on a nine-year-old boy at nine years old he was more grown up than Eli he was 90 and Eli sons Phineas and hophni so when the war breaks out Phineas and hophni as you know take the ark and they lose it in the battle to the Philistines and so the boys both died in that battle and they come and tell the priest your boys are dead the ark is gone and he falls back breaks his neck and he dies and then they tell Phineas or Hoff and his wife hey your husband has been killed in the battle and and the Ark has been lost and she's pushing out a baby and she names him Ichabod which means the glory is departed but now Ichabod is going to become the next high priest and he's gonna carry for a century the anointing of the glory has departed but because he's a baby the the ephod can't fit him so Samuel then is not a priest so he does not have access behind the holiest of Holies because God would kill him it has no Nexus but he's prophetic he's a judge that's why this famine but he's also prophetic there's nobody to teach him because there's been no prophet of reference before him so he finds himself in a very difficult position he doesn't look like anybody because he's a Nazarite he's not allowed to be inebriated from another system he has to be drunk from the wine of the Spirit he got a lot to cut his hair because now he has to grow his hair to be a definition of headship so he has seven flicker locks coming out of his head which is the prototype of the perfection of headship but he has got nobody to teach him and so when he annoying Samuel when Samuel anoints all as king over Israel Saul becomes semi dependent on this prophetic gift because Saul doesn't know what to do and Samuel gives him direction but the glory has not fallen because Ichabod is the priest there's no arc the glory is not falling there's no Urim and no Thummim just speak into the need of a nation because where there is no profit the breasts fling prophesize but the breasts break was not functioning because theok wasn't there to activate it so look what happens when there's no profit the Bible says here that Sami will died verse 3 of chapter 25 of 1st Samuel and all Israel lamented for him buried him in Ramah his hometown saul had already given a commission in a commandment to put away familiar spirits wizards witches warlocks removed them from the land he said we don't want this because the Bible says in Leviticus you will not allow a witch to live there's no Urim there's no Thummim there's no priest that's got anointing there's no profit so look what saw was gonna do it's going to lean towards the spirit of divination so saw saw the hosts of the fullest lands he was afraid greatly trembled and soul enquired of the Lord and the Lord enhancing because God was mad at him for didn't speak with him in dreams the Urim was not functioning and there were no prophets in verse 7 then saul said to his servants i need you to find me a woman that's a sangoma find me a familiar spirit a witchdoctor find me somebody that can throw some bones find me somebody that can play cards that can do a 1 900 number somebody that can read tea leaves somebody that can read the palm of my hand somebody that can take a 25 cent piece and tell me my fortune somebody they can miss of the spirit world abuse it manipulate for self gain and they said it's amazing that they knew where she was they said there's a woman that has a familiar spirit in Indore this is a bad girl right here this is not just something that reads a tarot card this girl has access to spiritual highways let me just say this to every prophet every apostle in the house they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength Tom leads toward don't lean towards divination and manipulation and witchcraft and manipulating the congregation don't lean towards that because you die by the sword when you live by the sword let's look at the list of all kinds of things in the story of sorely self-explanatory when saul consulted the switch this sangoma that was it he cut his life so here's a list of Old Testament manifestations of witchcraft and divination magicians Genesis 41 verse 8 Exodus 7 verse 11 Exodus 9 verse 11 the scripture talks about magicians these are seen in Joseph's day and also in Moses day when he was dealing with Pharaoh then there's witchcraft Exodus 22 verse 18 you will not allow a witch to live in your land because that's the quickest way to bring a curse upon the nation some years ago believe his name is David Irish from Harrisburg in Pennsylvania was in Zimbabwe he came with apostle Ellen Vincent and he spoke at our church and this brother in Harrisburg along with I think it was eight other pastors became the beneficiaries or on the receiving end of the wrath of a witch coven and the head of that witch coven goes by the name silver Raven wolf many of her books can be found in Barnes & Noble and almost extinct borders you can find her books teaching children adults how to become witches and this woman under the pseudonym silver Raymond wolf was once apparently a Pentecostal believer that got offended in church and left the church and joined a coven and so as the head of this coven they came against the churches in Harrisburg and they assign witches to churches and they began to pronounce cancer on the leaders your job isn't as an intercessor is not yuh-huh kamehameha your job is to watch for that kind of stuff and this man got some sort of leukemia he got leukemia as did many other pastors in the city of Harrisburg and when he was dying of leukemia yet you have chemo and all of that lost all his hair his family couldn't touch him because just a little scratch he'd bleed to death and then when the doctor was examining him examining him found out that he had an acute appendicitis and said if this cancer doesn't kill you thus appendix conditions going to take you out and then to make matters worse around an appendix there in that area he discovered a very vast metastasizing cancer and he said if this leukemia doesn't kill you you're ruptured appendix pendeks will and whatever's growing here will definitely take you won't but in a very long story short this thing grew over the appendix as it ruptured and swallowed that poison and very long story short after a long battle with tremendous intercession in Ellen Vincent can share some of those stories and so could pass Irish they could share some of these stories tremendous release of anointing and many many passes were healed of all kinds of cancers that were allegedly incurable but it all began it all began with the spirit of witchcraft because they were people that refused to compromise sorceress Exodus 7 verse 11 jeremiah 20:7 verse 9 familiar spirits Leviticus 19 verse 31 Leviticus 20 verse 6 Leviticus 20 verse 27 Leviticus 18 verse 11 second Kings 21 verse 6 second chronicles 33 verse 6 from earlier spirits a familiar spirit is a spirit that has been in your family for centuries they know your great-great-great-grandfather and that's the stuff he was doing in the shack behind the house that's why you're fighting lust as a man and you can't explain why you want to live right you want to be right but it's that familiar spirit it's a familiar spirit in chanter Deuteronomy 18 verse 10 then chant ment second Kings 17 verse 17 sooth says Joshua 13 verse 22 Isaiah 2 verse 6 and and the soothsaying spirit causes slavery 2nd Kings 17 verse 17 astrologers stargazers Isaiah 47 verse 13 that's under the spirit of Jezebel the spirit of Jezebel Isaiah 47 and in that particular chapter there's a whole list of spirits of witchcraft and the way Jezebel functions it's quite frightening the spirit of divination is the key of 12 verse 24 Ezekiel 13 verse 23 Daniel chapter number 1 verse 10 is this the Babylonian system you also find this in 22 in to verse 27 of Daniel in Daniel 4 verse 7 in Daniel 5 verse 15 now let's go quickly to Acts chapter number 19 I want to go to acts 19 verse 19 and read the scripture to show you how this manifests in the New Testament Acts chapter 19 verse 19 acts 19 verse 11 I love the scripture acts 19 verse 11 and God brought many outstanding miracles by the hands of Paul he's in Ephesus and all kinds of miracles are breaking out all kinds of miracles are breaking out he's preying on handkerchiefs and aprons and God is healing and so when this revival breaks out a lot of evil spirits are coming out
