Bird Photography Behind The Scenes - Winter Road Trip - Jan Wegener Vlog

[Music] [Music] hi guys big week ahead just going to pick up two mates at this property and then we're gonna head off for a week-long road trip through Victoria hopefully finding berths like major metals cockatoos and regent parrots thought about shooting Robins this morning but it's really dark and raining so not sure if we're gonna do that or head off straightaway anyways I'll do my best to take you with us to show you what we do show you hopefully a lot of birds we're gonna photograph and yeah I'm excited let's do it [Music] emergency lunch got that we have to throw off-road away just arrived at the first spot see if we can find a few birds maybe fear in my chat looks quite nice [Music] no but so far [Music] [Applause] great Birds and the rainbow what do you want more what an awesome end to a great day started off really slow but then we got some really nice singing honey two shots in the end at first we only saw a few variants didn't really get them but then singing honey just came by landed on our purchase and got some really really nice shots so awesome and to this day gonna head home to the accommodation now and then we're gonna get up early and see what tomorrow brings it's very foggy started today see what we can get very cold as well just one degree second morning just exploring the area found a nice lake it's pretty cold but just gonna drive around see if we can find some bits [Music] we're hoping fruit bluebonnets or white mink variants saw them but didn't get any shots that's just how it goes sometimes now we're on to the next place three or four hours away surround looking for Rufus Fielder and now see if we can find it Sun is up now butts pretty low in the sky so she still should be able to get some shots see if we can find it see if we can get the rim made it to the Mele area it's looking for few birds major mature cockatoos Regent parrots Mulga parrot smelly ringnecks maybe even sommelier Mirren's let's see how we go we're just waiting around now sons just behind a cloud but it's gonna be late afternoon soon and we're gonna drive back to spot where we think we can see some major Mitchell's cockatoos and hopefully we can get them you just found these right from the left yeah no just crazy [Music] just enter Mele now looking for just like crow thrush maybe Mele Emer and see if we can find it quiet so fathers getting pretty cold now but really great area to be in Oh spinifex country very spiky though it's been a long day with no birds spend all day looking for other birds and didn't get anything so that's out sometimes girls tomorrow we're off to the next location can't get anything out there and you get an email [Music] it's a cult morning but how amazing is the scenery [Music] frost everywhere beautiful colors so nice so we can find some birds to warm us up [Music] got some really good major Mutual shots [Music] continue hard for the afternoon [Music] [Music] everybody [Music] [Music] finally got some really nice shots this afternoon mugger parrots Mele remix lots of honey meters really good afternoon it's getting dark now they're gonna head back a bit come back tomorrow when it's early and cold [Music] another day another cold morning not as cold as yesterday so hopefully I can get some more birds [Music] you know hot today freezing y'all also not getting many birds so far but seen a few at lease [Music] [Music] it's been finally a fantastic morning got a lot of birds really nice Mele ringnecks nice manga parrots and flights so lots of birds finally got to him in just we wanted it's nice and warm now this morning was minus three minus four now it's about fifteen so I got the t-shirt out and yeah let's see if we can get some more bits [Music] [Music] [Music] had a good afternoon session got Mele ringneck manga parrot striped Haneda but outs why did honey dye yellow plum honey does so really good heading back to town now and tomorrow one last morning before we're heading back to my friend's place or Wangaratta maybe get some Roberts last morning just trying to find some my geometric cockatoos who actually see something sure on a trace I just got back got my two times extend and see if we can get a few shots just filming a beautiful pair of Nike Mitchell's Coco tooth digging a new hole oh just looking for a few nice purchase hopefully we can use some more those nice threat near in looking ones found a few nuts purchase Sun is just coming up pretty cold set them up get a few boots and then on home [Applause] [Music] put it on the post be on the top [Music] just packing up now you can see my red cap Robin friend is still on the camera it's an awesome morning what a trip thanks for Joe to Gerard Andrade for coming out with me it's an awesome trip good company it's very cold -
