It's interesting, the reason he gives for cracking up is a little different than the one I've heard other places, which is that John Mulaney would frequently change the jokes between dress and the actual show, meaning Hader would be seeing some of them for the first time. Of course, it's possible that both that and Seth's masterful straight-manning played a role in putting Hader over the edge.
