Women confirmed lizard people.
This is the same way I feel about video games. I'm just chillin', playing DotA, screaming at Russians about shitty hooks and WHY THE FUCK ARE YOU NOT LAST HITTING, STOP PUSHING THE LANE and I'm having fun. That's my hobby and I'm happy. The thing is though, I'm happy without her, and that makes her angry. It's unfathomable to her that I can do something without her and be happy doing it. Like the only way I could possibly be happy is if it's an activity that centers around her. So she's gotta stop what ever shitty activity she's doing like watching Heartland or fucking scrap-booking and try and pull me away from my game because obviously I would have more fun if I was doing that with her instead.
Married 11 years, two kids.
Hit the nail on the head. My wife has friends over, I'm out of there faster than she could ask, "Could you...?" Gone before whatever the 3rd word is.
No way I'm sticking around for whatever shit comes next.
She does let me watch the spring classics though. So she's a good egg, more or less.
Bill Burr can be a funny guy. But that hackey, "women are like this and men are like that" crap is so old.
Women walk like this, but MEN walk like this.
Sure, it's a comedy bit, but it wouldn't be so funny if there wasn't an element of truth. I think it all boils down to want and need and not necessarily gender. Some people need to be with people. They're nothing if they're not with someone. Other people want to be with someone, but they're ok when that someone has outside interests.
