flag man the green and then right to the yellow before they got to the start/finish line so I think Joey Logano is right that the green flag was waving but NASCAR never said that the leaders never got across the start/finish line so the green flag or the track was never put back in a green flag condition so we'll try again coming back into the FBC sports restart zone 120 feet great flag back in the air [Music] are not going they wreck behind the green flag as soon as they cross the start/finish line will they throw the caution [Music] because it comes out now the question is NASCAR will go back and watch video they will look at the scoring loops to determine the finishing order so right here we see there under green flag NASCAR's looking at the track trying to determine if this cars can try it off it's very important to see who the leader is when the light comes on caution comes out and that's how close it is to determine who wins this race and not just who wins it's the entire Chase Field the 18:31 for all right on edge where will they end up they are telling us that the 22 was in front and so Joey Logano will sweep round two unofficially Joel Logano Roberta Vega should NASCAR let you guys run longer under that green white checkered before throwing the caution no honey yards I'd have been in the lead but NASCAR makes the calls there the governor and body and I have 105th and the choices that they make I'm not gonna you know not gonna be too upset about it I did everything I could I'm proud of myself proud of my team you know it was pretty tough ending you know the poor knowing you knew he was blowing up and told everybody's gonna stay in his Lane well he did that so somebody got outside of him gonna get caused the wreck to finish the race so we got tore up two weeks in a row trying to make it work I make it anywhere fast enough to run up front today but it's disappointing it wasn't really racing be honest where there's just a lot of games going on and you can hardly blame a guy for doing it because you're gonna make it if he does that you know and wreck some people going slow or he's not gonna make it if it goes green for two laps but I don't know it just it just feels like we kind of lost control on the situation that hopefully get back to racing next week and everybody going fast and trying to win first off let's start with that last restart and the crash what happened or could only run about 30 miles an hour so I think he saw people coming he news probably gonna be xxx last car on the lead lap so cause the wreck and you know that's hard to hear nor there we got a self-inflicted day we took us four times to get our roof decks and unfortunate I mean we're feel like I've done everything I possibly could do to to advance but the just one bad race and a three race season obviously takes you out so it's frustrating knowing that we very well could have won next week but I don't know really can't spin any positive on right now when you will you know you have an engine trouble you have to look in the mirror that's what you do you know the problems coming behind this is the part that you know her two drivers make comments saying he intentionally wrecked the 6-2 caused a caution make contact your wreck starts Kevin Harvick defending Series champion off turn four it's gonna be a drag race all right back to the start/finish line 500 we got one color stills Ruth coming across the start/finish line no record they're wrecking everywhere Boyer's on fire Jeff Gordon's wrecked and there's real wrecking Montoya Stremme II Kenseth Biffle Marlin Carl Edwards Casey Mears all crashed on the final lap but you know what I'm glad NASCAR let him finish the race yes there's no reason that the cars are wrecking behind them not in front of it was not going to change a thing not a thing I gave it what I what I could but I just I didn't get it done I really thought they were going to throw the caution I was still ahead and they were wrecking behind and if they would have just thrown the yellow he was in our fingers but they waited and they waited and they waited and I didn't have any pusher at the end you know and he was in the you know in the preferred spot for for second back forward but just want to thank everybody for all their support I wanted to win that thing they were going to have to pry it out of my fingers man and I was looking back to see if we had any help but I didn't see any back there and it's just short start/finish line but that 88 is publicly raishin star Dale Earnhardt jr. brings them to the guy checkered flag [Music] good job junebug whoa Reed Sorenson trace ends up in a crash I ran my first race in 59 at Daytona we come through the tunnel and that looked like the biggest place in the world I mean Sydney Maltese eatable first and second corner had T little grandstands no buildings nothing there in 1959 NASCAR in its first race at Daytona super speedway when Lee petty and Johnny Beauchamp with a lap car driven by Joe Weatherly in the mix crossed the line together bill France declared Beauchamp the winner after petty disputed a decision France asked the public to produce photographic evidence bleep Eddie and a driver by the name of Johnny Beauchamp finish that race in a virtual dead heat you couldn't have asked for a closer race and at that time bill didn't have cameras set up bill France knew who the winner was he is smart this may be a brilliant stroke by bill who wants to get as much national publicity for his new big track responsibility called for all of the fans to send in any photographs that they take it was the final last push when Petty and Beauchamp came because the life he kept everybody in suspense not so bad an extended window of publicity for the Daytona International Speedway photographs proved that Lee petty had won the very first they tell him the 500 Danny was forcing that to win actually three days of looking at a bunch of pictures and stuff they finally decided that that Mindy had won a race how about Stuart freezing in the fourth spot solder trying to hold off the field Johnny solder eliminated from the playoffs last week but he's gonna get it done johnny sauter holding off the crowd and winning for the second time [Music] that was some pretty intense blocking by solder on Riley herbes Riley runs off the road because of the block my solder nice par says in their judgment if you force a truck below the line by blocking them there you could be black flag [Applause] I don't know what the call will be there if they did they take this one away from Johnny Sauter then I'm not sure that Spencer Boyd may be the guy that's Boyd in the white straw white truck but I don't see where herps did anything wrong he got blocked he went below the line he got blocked and certainly should be no penalty against Crowley Hertz at all and then it's just a judgment called what they do to this 13 truck he clearly blocked herbes below the yellow line [Music] johnny sauter do in the Burnet we've not officially been told the solder is the winner but Johnny certainly celebrating will wait on the official call from NASCAR to make sure that there was no rule as he defended his position in regard to the yellow line [Applause] johnny sauter is not going to win the race it's the 20 of Spencer Boyd unreal is right that's what you get at Talladega unbelievable that boy is gonna have to get back in the truck he's gonna have to go to Victory Lane oh and Johnny Sauter is going to be furious Spencer Boyd finished fourth the Daytona that was his career best he did a great job there and what an unbelievable job it doesn't know because he doesn't have his helmet on so there's no communication that has been able to be trance transferred to him so now Spencer Boyd back in the truck in is going to if I would Spencer out to victory - lot do me some burnouts I want to celebrate this victory jonatha say you went down below the yellow line to defend your position took away the win from you what's your view from your I think the first one NASCAR's taken from me so just proud of everybody Thor sport can't think those guys an off quarter horse Congress Tendo Ford you know I went down to put a little mock on but then when I did I got hooked sideways and that's just plate racing and you know I didn't block his advance or anything like that so if I remember I think Tony Stewart and Regan Smith had the same deal few years back so just hate it for my guys you know they deserve better than that and what are you gonna say you're gonna look back on is there anything you can do as the driver as the leader in that position oh you did what you did you know I mean you did what you thought was right so it is what it is man I guess whatever you know you're just running the race just crowd everybody thought sports effort Bo and all the guys in the fab shop finished bad paint shop I did a great job and you know we did what we thought was right to win the race and whatever you know got rules he got rules I guess we'll send it back up to the moons this johnny sauter here [Applause] what do you guys think I mean it's it's clear in the driver's meeting if you block someone advance by going by blocking them under the line and you could be black flagged and his johnny did block the advance [Music] sputtered here the tri-oval [Music] let's continue to watch and see if Harry and stretched his fuel mileage and live typically Lane or whether it's going to be Darrell Waltrip and Dale Earnhardt battling for the finish meeting stop two laps to go a little over five miles from victory for hairy Dan [Music] right to slow down yeah he doesn't even say their feet not arey will get the white flag next time bye [Music] along the racetrack is for that second spot in it CERN Harden and Oh breakdance might be out of gas and Harry passes Wow now this may affect every thought out against up maybe they're in he did that that's a logo for me he knows he has enough fuel and wants to help his make it to the finish well in any case the white flag is out for Harry and what will have to go will he make it he sets the car into turn number one for the final time and the fans that came here on this Monday to watch this race are up and cheering for the 51 year old from Taylorsville North Carolina showing the younger has been warned that Rick mess cannot push that car to the finish line he has to cross the light on his own is he doing it right now well they're separated so Harry is still on the gas and he's got some in it here he comes off of corner number four remember this dark finish line is way down past the tribal arrested can he do it can he close the rest of the way fishing that's the key notes they're separated they're separated in this moment here comes Harry again down for the checkered flag and he wins it and Rick mast look on the inside to make sure the NASCAR saw that he was not pushing him here's the other battle Darrell to win the battle for second position he finishes second Dale Earnhardt is third here comes four [Music] Walter Jeff Conine and Ken Schrader finish in that order let's go to John Curtin who's with Andy Petrie Andy I'll tell you it looked like you almost got a little push here in the tri-oval from that one car anyone pushed him but he was almost you guys aren't real happy right now somebody won by let him go by a car didn't want to use the peel and then it started running out on me five to go the fuel pressure start fluctuating but Rick had backed off a lot he and I both were popular a little over half throttle there and so then I he pulled over me to go by and he had to bump me a lot of times to get me all around the light slap when did it finally quit when did it when you know you knew you were going to make it coming off before going into well it quit a bunch of quit on every one and two then it quit again down the backstretch and Rick gave me a good boot and it got me going and then going in three it cut off me he got a hard for him to get again me and all fort wouldn't run any and now the year wasn't running inning so he gave me a good push but that's telling him a seconds out to me and tell me how far was ahead you know and he will lost one of the members of the skull classic team Hugo passed away and we like to ask people of you know priors for you go and hope to have a fire for George Bush that he gets better tomorrow than in Harry Gant wins the Winston 500 and they talk about 40-something with Nolan Ryan and George Foreman how about 50 something Bob there are the results and by virtue of his third-place finish Dale Earnhardt is back on top of the point standings for Ned Jarrett Benny Parsons dr.
