Can someone more versed in F3000/GP2 history explain to me why Arden fell away from being competitive? Was it Horner leaving? I adored that team and some of their drivers back in the 2000's but they seem to be kinda nowhere after Prema/Carlin/DAMS rose to the top. Notable exception was Hubert last year (RIP) .

The race that landed Kiesa a very undeserved seat in F1. It was hilarious to hear the Danish broadcasters attempt to make it seem like he was doing ok.

Wirdheim completely dominated that championship, but that even cost him badly, his career completely stalled.

I'll be honest, few things annoy me more in motorsport than reading of reigning champions be completely shunned by the tier above. Happened a lot in the 00's and early '10. If you climbed the mountain, if you conquered your opposition, you have earned at least some consideration. Seeing reigning GP2 champs drop to goddamn Blancpain is painful.
