while other content creators get to focus on what laran has uh added in and fixed uh I get to greet yall with what's up so first thing just woke up but it looks like pel has just been updating a bunch of their mods WD movement and Native camera tweaks seem to be updated too improved UI of course so I might actually have my Nexus collection up and running sooner than I did for patch 4 so fingers crossed I'm yet to launch into the game and give it a test I talked about it last time and I'll talk about it this time if you're playing with mods you should have your auto updates disabled you can do this through Steam pretty easily you just uh rightclick the game in your library you go to properties updates set it to only update the game when I launch it and then when you see an update is available you can go up the top top left under Steam and click go in offline mode and if you play the game from offline mode it won't update anyway um what's going on with this channel I've got a video installation and troubleshooting guide coming out for my collection I've been syncing a whole lot of time into having all the information as good as it can be for that just improving the collection constantly really trying to aim for that more old school crpg feel nice and difficult and rewarding uh but it seems that Lan's also on to that so we'll have to see how the difficulty mods going forward interact with honor mode and the custom difficulty there'll be more mod showcase videos of course and once my collection is stable on patch 5 I'm going to start streaming me doing a playthrough on it so if you don't want to commit to downloading 350 something mods before you really get to see it in action you should tune into those streams I don't have a schedule for it but I'll post one here soon epilog an entirely new section at the end of the game after the defeat of the nether brain that aims to provide a well-deserved sense of closure with your allies two new play modes honor mode and custom mode many performance improvements we'll get to that PS5 who cares uh players playing on machines with low vram Ram yeah we'll get to that while at Camp you can now access and manage the inventories of companions who aren't in your active party now the mod bag of campers inventories that I previously covered on the channel was taken down off Nexus I don't know if there was ever an uninstaller release for it and it's 100 % baked into the save games I was looking at using that camp event notification mod it has some uh uninstall guide that you can do through script extender or whatever I was going to try and like reverse engineer those instructions to see if I can get rid of bag of camper inventories I don't know if it's destructive yet uh with patch 5 it's more likely that the mod will s simply stop functioning and it won't actually brick the saves but yeah that that's one mod that I've moved over to my diq archive or the dick archive uh for my Nexus collection just for existing playthroughs added a brand new fight orang outfit now drops as loot Shadow heart will always be the owner of the artifact during the tutorial if she is a follower becoming half a lith will now also visually affect your eyes is a good one basic action variations example a free version of Dash that you can perform because of a class feature that share a hotkey by default will now gain a hotkey according to a certain priority order really like that good stuff but what I would like to see is just much more customization when it comes to binding input a romance mathara can now refer to a bond blah blah I'm just going to skip over Story related crap I'm about the meat the mechanics fixed a bug where party members would sometimes not change back into the armor set they were displaying before entering Camp Withers can now sneakily resurrect any dead companions that fell before the final battle battle so they can join the ending cinematics well yeah that's good improve the physics of characters and walls to prevent NPCs being able to shoot through ceilings inside houses Round of Applause the loading screen art now unlocks gradually as you progress through the game fix the puzzle in cazador's Palace wild shapes that do not have weapons will now benefit from having the tavern brawler feet M crashes and blockers fix crashes that would occur while loading a save game fixed a crash for some players upon entering nine fingers Guild hole fix a crash when dragging an item out of your inventory while your character is dead in another inventory fixed a texture related crash and leak fixed a crash and blocker when interacting with antiy fixed an issue preventing you from leveling up when there were more slots than spells to choose from fixed a crash that would occur when entities that don't support passives join a combat fixed a possible crash related to dealing damage when the game can't detect a source for that damage added fixes for certain random crashes fixed a rare crash caused by cloth physics in the level up screen fixed a dlss crash fixed the combat AI sometimes not checking if it can use items fix the hag skipping turns oh what the that was a vanilla bug bro I I thought that was I thought my collection had that up in tactician mode the hag can no longer be killed by being shoved into chasms all right cool I like changes like that you know remove the cheesy ways of beating bosses all for it fixed assassins alacrity assassin get their action back on the first turn of combat fix summon duration starting to tick down too soon while summoned in combat attacks against a paralyzed or unconscious Target no longer automatically hit but any hits that do land critical damage yep beautiful flesh to Stone is now considered a harmful spell as it should be fix the slowed condition applying a -2 penalty to all saving throws instead of just dexterity Hope from the House of Hope now carries half plate armor and a light crossbow yeah whatever uh Battle Master Maneuvers now correctly add your proficiency bonus to the DC I I didn't know that was an issue yeah that that's a big deal half orc Savage attacks passive now also applies to offhand weapons gave Primal Stampede a saving throw to save against being prone casting blade barrier while under the effects of sanctuary will cause Sanctuary to end all gathered allies that can be summoned for the final battle will have their resources restored no such thing as a free lunch consuming the noble stalk mushroom during combat now costs an action increase the Rarity value of the elixir of cloud giant strength carite grip now correctly bounces to additional targets fixed an issue with the tavern brawler feet where damage bonuses were being incorrectly app applied multiple times while making a throwing attack I've heard that those builds are pretty gnarly I haven't even played with a tabn brawler build or like a throwing build yet the potion of angelic Slumber now restores War priest cleric's extra attack charges when players start a combat inside the elf song Tav all the patrons will now cower instead of continuing to drink fixed an issue where Bor wter bread wouldn't become hostile towards you if you attacked your allies in high Hall Bernard's static discharge condition now lasts two turns instead of three fixed Grim's reverberating condition clearing at the start of his own turn instead of the end causing the movement speed buff to not work performance and optimization this is the good stuff fixed a memory leak if a visual is unloaded while a facial animation is playing for example when exiting a game region improved performance drops when opening a radial menu while casting a spell optimize level of detail for various assets reduce the memory footprint of game objects optimize certain behind the scenes protocols to stop frame spikes when while teleporting in act 3 added reduced triangle count versions of the hierarchal levels of detail visible in the low model quality settings improved vram usage by op optimizing some lighting and textures improved performance loading objects in the lower City by tweaking the light and decal loading system improve the performance of water physics improve system memory function by removing unused fallback fonts fix some Vats leaking after cinematics with destruction fix some parts of virtual textures infinitely loading lower the UI memory footprint at full HD or lower resolutions increase the crispness of UI textures at lower than full HD resolutions many many other fixes for leaks Ram vram reduction and performance optimizations love to see it let's have a look at the UI changes added a profanity filter for custom map markers you'll have to find more creative ways to label the kennel master uh why stopped the examine button occasionally disappearing added a message in the combat log about being spotted in stealth due to environmental light or dark vision that's Nifty there's a lot of stuff that sort of should be mentioned in the combat that isn't you look at it and it's really just it's pretty Bare Bones a lot of the time you you look at it because you've got a specific question and it's like I I don't know man don't ask me improve the connection between combat log messages about you losing stealth and the reason for losing it you can now sell and barter items inside containers when trading improved grouping and sorting of items and containers while trading blocked trade and attack options for players listening in on someone else's dialogue fix some issues with loot containers not closing when you take all the items fix the active spell sometimes not glowing on the hot bar fixed internal parameters in dialogue lines sometimes being displayed instead of the correct values like names and gold amounts yeah I've seen that a bit before information about damage dealt using gold is now displayed in a condensed form in the combat log the combat log will Now display the relevant weapon name when applying a weapon damage bonus pressing extract on an alchemical ingredient in the inventory now correctly opens the Alchemy menu with his wardrobe of wayward friends now has a map icon fix broken Mouse over text warning you that you can't use sneak attacks again until your next turn improve cycling between targets splitting a green die stack in the Traveler's chest at Camp will no longer change the D Rarity from uncommon to rare interesting uh that's about all I wanted to go over patch note wise anyway if you really want to dig into it you can I don't recommend it unless you've already finished the game because they're kind of throwing around spoilers a little bit more willy-nilly now the game has been out for a few months right anyway uh thanks for watching and hopefully you haven't completely bricked your games I will put below once I find an article for it how to revert from patch 5 to hot fix 11 for those of you who have accidentally or intentionally and just didn't realize it was a problem updated their game while they're using mods before the mods have been updated to support patch 5 so yeah I I will have that down
