come the ones who he draws will come by the way knowledge meaning what having a relationship with the truth oh you learned and you learned you got tons of information but have you come into a you can receive praises from your father in heaven is that what every child wants as their fathers prays I know a lot of you never had that you never had that experience in your life you didn't have fathers that would ever praise you but wouldn't it be nice to have one that would and there is one that wants to and desires to and is sitting just ever ready to praise you but you're only gonna get there through the trial which is the opportunity to prove your belief which then yields the fruit of his desire to praise you and so hopefully we're getting that he says look he says he will praise you he said if the Indian pray says if you in which you exalt when though for a little while if need be you have been grieved by many trials in order to proving it that the proving of your belief much more precious than gold that firm that perishes improving my fire might be found to result in praise and respect and honor at the revelation so not just praise but respect Wow I know a lot of you never had respect from anybody nobody ever gave you honor but here's an offer an offer through the Apostle keifa to understand that if you would just take that opportunity to trial you might just get honor and respect and praise from your father in the heavens what could possibly be better than that I mean what could possibly be better than that but you're not going to get there unless you're gonna gird up your mind be sober set your expectation walk this out do all the things that he said to do you know he says that he wants you to love him with all your mind your your spirit your everything your being your strength your might everything love him well how do you show love by doing he says if you love me keep my Commandments so let's keep his Commandments let's do these things that's be sober-minded let's walk forward in this let's let's have the strength to go forward and do what he says and set our mind set our expectation perfectly upon that favor now some of you might have a little repenting to do some of you also may have a little receiving to do but I mean by receiving is to realize that all of this was always available to you but maybe you weren't ready to receive it and some of you kicked against it struggled against it and not tried to do completely away with those former lusts those III's and allowed them to be a disappointment to your Father in heaven because by the way the same converse is true that while the trial may also you know I thought on the one hand give you a chance that be pleasing and you know have to be proud of you it also is a chance for you to have him look down at you and just shake his head like I'm very disappointed in you and so you have that opportunity to choose which way he reacts by what you do so when you're in the trial it's up to you what reaction you're gonna get from your father you have a choice how are you going to handle it how are you going to react to it how are you going to show him that you only fear him and you trust him and you don't fear the situation and you're not trusting other people and you're gonna do what needs to be done to get him to look down and smile and say I am so proud of father we just thank you for this day we ask that you would accept this joyful singing and praise and the music and all is an expression of the love and joy in our hearts towards you that you would be here with us today and that you would guide and lead all things so that all things would be to your glory and your honor so father we come before you now on Shavuot to meet with you to praise and do necessary last night although it was fun but we did have a a transition from Shibata to chef whoa gasps ring an Oneg and fellowship and it was great at the we're at the house but there's no big tree branch there's only when you're if you move here to understand when it rains with big storms anything that's a little loose broken or needs to come down will come down you'll see them in the roads and sometimes you make them were used to be sitting and so you know let's be glad that that didn't end up having anybody sitting there at the time it happened because we were all sitting under that tarp and that's where I ended up landing right there by the table where you were sitting and actually I was sitting right across from you for a little bit at that time and so there was quite a bit of people just sitting right in that area and so let's praise yeah that nobody was sitting there when it happened he waited till it was all over and that's really good okay so and also I want to thank I don't to praise you on your behalf for hosting everybody you know wasn't easy to have a whole lot of people in your house and it was wet and it was messy and you know what you were willing to give and serve and allow everybody to come and and that was just great because you know what the body just didn't want to stop what we started at Shabbat and come into today without it with that break in the of days I could certainly use a little prayer for my throat which is feeling a little on the source side but as long as the voice doesn't disappear we'll be okay but I can deal a little bit of pain Sukkot and none should appear before Yahweh empty-handed but each one with the gift in his hand according to the blessing of Yahweh Elohim which he has given you okay and I remember sitting through lots of little offering messages at these feasts where they would really try to get as much as they could have your pockets we're not going to do that I just want to remind you that today there is a required offering there are three times a year where on top of your tithes are required to give an offering and this is one of them so please for your own sake not for my sake we don't need the money that way it's for you to receive the blessing and to be in obedience to the Father okay we have the shallow sherry Kaleem the three pilgrimage feasts unleavened bread Shavuot and Sukkot and this is the one in the middle here shovel and so that's your verse reference for that and the purpose of tithing we understand is to teach us to always put Yahweh first in our lives and to appreciate his abundant blessings and even in that instruction in Deuteronomy we can see that he instructed us to specifically understand the blessings that that about giving as you've been blessed okay so let's understand that I know what did I do with did I leave my phone on the back there all right because I'm gonna need that timing-wise well actually already told you were gonna go long so maybe I don't need that okay marty was just gonna throw it out the window so we don't have to worry about that thank you okay so all right so the ties in the offering so we are going to pray this blessing blessed are you Yahweh our Elohim king of the universe who commanded and made promises to us concerning the tithes and offering may you open up the windows of heaven impart a blessing that cannot be contained as we walk in these mitts vote now you should know by now two things that are in that prayer that you should absolutely no one embrace number one as that he does make promises to us that are regarding His commandments and they were connected to at the part where I said may you open up the windows of heaven as we walk in the commandments so we should understand that we're doing the are you safe teaching that obedience to Commandments brings blessing okay and so you should have an expectation of blessing that's not why you're doing it but you should have an expectation that's the bargain he made you agreed to that bargain if you obey I will give you blessings and there's nothing wrong by the way with wanting blessings don't feel guilty about it but you should feel guilty if you think you should get the blessings and not do the other half of it okay there's a kind of a reciprocity there you do he blesses it's kind of the way it works all right announcements okay we're just going to go we're here we're going to be moving to a building that's sort of diagonally across over this way it's called Florida Hospital hall in room 1210 I believe okay so we have that room there's also a kitchen we can use which is nice that we could put the food there for the Oneg and so it's it's a lecture hall so if you weren't there since the last time we were there we're only there once so far it's basically a the nursing school it's a lecture hall but you get a desk which I know Manny's all excited it's like yeah kind of desk okay so and I can tell you right now the chairs and seats in there are not regular classroom seats they're real comfortable okay they got a little swivel to them and they pad it nice it's a very modern building you'll really enjoy sitting in there it's not a problem okay I know a lot of people think oh I'm gonna be sitting in a classroom for four hours actually it's really comfortable okay now the difference that you need to be aware of okay well first of all going to be there next Sabbath then on June 2nd we don't have a location yet and then we'll be in that same space the whole rest of June that's the the 916 23rd and 30th will all be over there at the Florida Hospital Hall okay now for you with the children though we do not have a classroom available to do the children in so we're gonna have to have a wait well maybe print out some of the partial pearl stuff and they can sit there quietly and do it at their seats but they're gonna have to have stuff to do so parents start planning to bring stuff for your children to keep them occupied for the little ones there is an area like a lounge area with some chairs and stuff right by this staircase I got this big sort of spiraling staircase and the hallway there and as there's a lot of room to the sides where there's like a little little coffee table and there's some chairs and stuff so we can put the little children on the floor over there and let them play and everything like we did last time not a but for the katana and the adult classes we don't have a place to put them at this point so until now that could work out that though something will come up and at the moment we don't so please be prepared for that on June the 10th we have our meetings day so it starts off with the South African leadership in the morning at 10:00 and then at noon we have the leadership in general for all of em TOI including South Africa of course and then at night we have our general session because now we're doing these things once a month and getting it all done in one day and freeing me up a little bit for some more time to do some things especially as I will probably be doing more traveling and so Sunday's would be very important useful for the traveling that I'll be doing as I'm going to visit some of the affiliate congregations and things like that all right then on July 8th is our picnic and mikvah all right so that's gonna be a lot of fun we're moving in from Chester Frost to Manny's house I'm kidding he's like let's do it that's what I love about him instead of going wide he goes like let's do it there's a creek in the back right we got some room there the way it's been raining just will dig a hole and let it accumulate well make a pond okay he's gonna be a chest of frost Park over in Hickson and so it's not that far from here and it's a great location we've been using it for the last three or four years and it'll work out just fine if you are wanting to go in the water I'm going to hopefully have starting next week or at least sometime during the June teaching you know the JUnit meetings I'll have the directions to the location as well as the 8 declaration sheets printed out so we can have them out on a table somewhere the challenge is in space like this I haven't been able to bring the CDs or things kind of things we don't have a place to put anything you know it's just really hard to use the space but this is why we need to always should have put that up in the prayer request we need to really be praying about the property okay we have a property to buy it's 25 acres the seller wants to sell it to us we want to buy it that's not a problem right now we're trying to find a proper engineer architect combo to help us lay out the plan for the property and all we're gonna do on it so that we can get that put into the whole purchase and loans and all the things that we're doing okay I know something about thinking out there no don't go into debt don't but listen there's this debt and there's debt okay let's understand that all right there's there's there's foolish debt like using your loans and credit cards to buy games toys things okay there's other wisdom leveraging of debt well you know you can afford things but you know what you'd never be able to bide unless you took 20 years to accumulate the cash because we have we actually have cares to buy the property we have no cares than to build on it so we have to have a choice of how we do this we will have no problem with the loam organic no think uh-oh here's another one of those dumb things organizations get themselves into debt we're trying to be very wise with that but I appreciate the concern okay but if we had to wait is never gonna happen and I think Ava's told us through what we've seen happening that he wants us to do this now because he's not opening up any other things for us to do we keep looking for a place we could just rent which we could afford to do and he doesn't give us any so the only thing I can think of as he wants us to buy something and build on it and get a permanent location for mty and Beth Shalom oh man okay for those you that have been helping to contribute to the building fund we appreciate that although I can tell you it's actually you know it's it's why it's probably bout now it says eighty-five I think on the 85,000 on the website it's probably closer to 90 at this point or 87 between there I haven't updated it I do appreciate all that but as you understand that wouldn't even build one building okay or most of wouldn't even do most of the infrastructure putting in the concrete pipes and the electric it's gonna cost money to do these things so keep that in prayer okay that's not a solicitation I'm just telling you to keep that in prayer that you know this is things that are gonna have to happen okay and this is not an unbiblical thing when they wanted to build what they needed in the original needs coming into the wilderness what did everybody do they gave so much so that they people say that we have too much stuff we don't need anymore wouldn't it be a great problem for us one for me to get up here and say hey guys listen I'm sorry there's no place to put all this stuff the banks are full can't put the money anywhere all right so be nice if we had that problem so just keep that in prayer but we are actively looking to build the site on this site will be a huge facility that will help be the main meeting dining hall for the feasts as well as the main location for admission alone to meet okay so we will be meeting there every week of course we still have to put in parking and all that I mean this is great right now it's just a big property that's all it's all grass and dirt and it needs to have all the rest of that stuff put on there okay and so we're just looking for wisdom and guidance to find the right person to help lay it out for us there will be on there some temporary housing we do have a beautiful double-wide in Ohio that we purchased a little while back that's empty that we're going to be moving down here so that if people come to visit they'll have a place they could stay temporarily or maybe we'll put you know I'm thinking we might have to consider putting the rabbits in and Rabbi Tom and Joann into that place Joanna's like it's good with me so you know we made this bed and put them in there and that'd be great okay so we're also putting in our V Circle in there so that we could have or RV slots so people can come if they have that some camping areas we've got all kinds of stuff we want to do there is already a pond on the property that we're gonna dig out and make even bigger so we should be able to mikvahs and stuff on the property I have our own little lake it's not as big as the one the boys club had but you know we could put a little little lake on there maybe a little half acre thing and that'll be fine so just keep that all in prayer we're hoping to have this here's the big thing now we're hoping to have this ready to use by Passover all right so that this Sukkot would be the last time that we're going to somebody else's property [Applause] see that's why we had short prayer time so I can talk a lot more during the announcements okay so well you need to know I mean I can just imagine at big events like these these three times a year that leadership would share things and say hey these are some things that are going on you know so these are the things that are going on so you know we are going to be meeting at the YMCA over there in Black Mountain North Carolina for Sukkot we're hoping to get that website page up they've been really crazy busy for whatever reason and have not sent me my quote on what the each person's price would be and how the costs are so I'm waiting for that I was told I'll have that by Monday so we'll see I was told that last week also so let's see so I didn't get the last Monday I'm hoping for this Monday and so that way we can then get the website page up plan for something similar to the last time to pass over because Passover was extended because it ended on a weekend on that Friday into the Saturday and Sukkot is longer by nature because you have shamina at Sarat so there should be a very similar pricing and situation okay so let's just keep that in mind as we are planning that but wouldn't it be exciting to get to April next year and have our own place okay so that's what looking to do we're looking to build a facility it's kind of like this dining area here that's on a huge space for dining could sit at least 400 people then a center place in the middle so pictures or something like this product right here okay so a picture of this like side over here would be for dining and all of that or and then this side for meetings and further he'll have a little stage there and the microphones and all the sound systems set up and we can seat 400 and in the middle be a commercial kitchen okay in the restrooms and a lobby and oh you know when people come on in so that's we're looking to make this one big main building all right so that because after all we will probably have over 300 easiet Sukkot so we have to be planning for at least 4 or 500 people to put in this thing and so I'd rather have more room than less and so that's what we're trying to plan for but imagine what it costs to build a building that size ok that dining hall we did the measurements on it's about 60 by 100 ok so that's we're talking about two of them with it with another maybe 30 40 by 100 in the middle okay now that means that by hard to because another 30 by well I guess how we've had about 60 so if I either 30 by 60 in the middle that's a gigantic building okay but what a great opportunity if we could build something like this and host in there and I think there might be enough room to dance which we don't have obviously here okay does it come with desks well have little lap desks that you could have you know that you could just pick up on your way in the hall and just grab a lap desk like oh maybe what's in it will that have desks okay so well get this this is what I want you to be praying about that Abba will open up the doors add more people whatever needs to happen for us to be able to make this work after all it's his plan not ours so if he doesn't want to do that at this point well that we're fine with that that's not a problem also we didn't get to do this yesterday I forgot I don't know why but we did forget so I do want to point out that we are at eleven thousand two hundred subscribers I don't know if you can get that on the camera but anyway can you zoom in on that you got it cool 11200 scribers now I don't know if you remember we were trying to get to ten thousand said I'll get we need five more people started subscribing it was really funny that wasn't that long ago that was right before Passover okay so we already have another 1,200 since then and okay we're heading into in here in the middle of May going into June so that's very exciting and it's not about us it's about it's it's a measurement that we're reaching people it's a measurement of the effectiveness you know when we talk about leadership and mty we always say we're working together to serve the body in a more effective way are we being effective in serving and reaching and sharing the word of Yod to a lot of people and so there's just only so many ways to measure that and this is one of them okay you know so I just thought I'd share that with you because I think that's pretty exciting you know eleven thousand views you know of course I mean subscribers of course if I was some goofy guy with you know doing dumb things profanity and video games we'd have 300 million subscribers or something you know okay but because we're not I think 11,200 is pretty awesome okay I mean that really is pretty awesome look it's just like there are people that I was talking to the other day who remembered being on the livestream when it was 20-something people and it was on livestream calm and it wasn't even on YouTube at that point and now we have I don't know what do we got on there now 313 okay and that's a lot of growth and so just praise y'all for the harvest and for the growth and that we can help in any way we can you know this is not about see if you're not a minister yourselves anything so because we don't sell anything we can't say oh we don't know all these peoples who can sell them a bunch of stuff you know I know something's gonna go well you sell Bibles and shofar yes we do but we don't sell our teachings we don't sell the things that you need those are things you don't need but you could want okay because there are people out there that come to me they actually need a Bible we give them them if they can't afford it we'll give it to them most people buy the Bibles from us don't have six of them already this is just another one they want okay so it's not that there's a need there okay anyway all right so so with the announcements that's you're pretty much covered for that I just thought that would give you a nice update on what how things are going for those you that are wondering we did it one more update just so you can understand we did have a problem with our virtual map okay so that's been taken down okay so no not all of those hundreds of like pink dots that used to be on the map they didn't all disappear but the map we were using was a free map that decided to no longer be a free map and so the way they've structured it is not a really attractive pricing structure so we're looking for some alternative to do from the one we were using and we can understand that they didn't want it to be for free forever because I want to make some money on it but they really chose a way that just I think is charging too much so we're looking for some alternative to keep having some sort of virtual map and what we would like to do so don't be surprised when this happens when we do bring this new map in I think we're going to make sure to vet everybody we put on it meaning we want to make sure they're actually striving and looking to be a part of this not just looking to promote themselves or some other weird thing but they're actually connected virtually through the live stream or for a local fellow that they're actually connected with us that way when people see somebody on the map like no oh I understand you know that they believe certain way generally in their there they're going in a certain direction in there they're all you know see what I'm saying it's like if I as a Jew were to come to any place and go to a conservative synagogue or if I was an Orthodox go to North excedrin I kind of know what I'm getting I know what they believe see but if you go on to like 119 s map or somebody's other guys with big maps anything and everything is on that map and so if you want I don't mind you being on there I'm actually listed on those maps because I'd like to be listed somewhere where anybody can find us but I want our map to be for the group okay so that if you want to contact people yeah so Manny says you must have your coin in it now you don't have to have a beard to scratch though but you do know you don't need to have a coin to be on the map that was his subtle way of making sure I had mine some of you people I think wants to deal with the coin does because this is the weeks of this week's Torah portion that we just had covers it okay so might as well bring it in so anybody remember in chapter 3 of numbers who talked about the redeeming of the firstborn for the Levites when they did the census and what did they have to do to redeem the firstborn five shekels of silver okay now we don't know exactly how much a shekel is there's a lot of people that argue about it if you go to the Orthodox Jews different websites have different amounts and I saw that don't worry we don't have a camera catching that would have been better but England dianna decided to that she's a pirate she put the coin over her eye but no we'll talk about that's right she's got a it's a plank in the twig thing okay so stop interrupting you know these yellows you kissed can't I don't know okay anyway so with the pity on I've been so we had some people in the congregation a few years back that wanted to do this for their child and they didn't want to use Caesars money they'd want to use us silver dollars or Canadians about some other countries silver dollars and so they were looking for a non government money type of thing on the coin thing and they found somebody that was doing it in Israel but they were charging like 350 dollars you know for a set of five I said that's crazy so I said to Robert let's go find a mint and see what it costs and at that point we thought it we couldn't afford it the minister hadn't grown to that point so we didn't do it last year we looked into it again and said let's just give this a shot and hopefully we don't get stuck with five hundred coins because that was the size of the order we needed to put in so we were like I hope we don't just sit on 500 coins that'd be a lot of coins to be sitting on and by the way we've just about sold out the first 500 yeah so in all of our brilliant wisdom we bought another 500 okay so we made an MTU I pity on have been coin the redeeming of the first-born coin so on the front side it says MTO I messianic you are observing in Israel on the back it says working together to serve the body okay so it's a pure 1 ounce coin point 999 fine silver and so what has happened is though when I was sharing this to some of the people some of you military guys know what a challenge coin is and so you have to have one based on where you were stationed and what group you were in you had a coin for your group and you were supposed to have it on you at all times and so the military guys saw this he goes oh is that the MTO I challenge coin I said what's the challenge coin so we explained it to me I said I like that idea that's kind of cool and so later that day I went and pulled out my coin to see if he had his and he didn't actually said that was kind of funny and so he's the guy who told me about it I caught him without his coin the next day I to pull it out again and he had this look on his face like he had one now since then he had explained to me if you challenge somebody so what used to do in the military is that they pull out their coin slap it down on the bar whoever didn't have a coin bought the drinks or if they were at a restaurant they had to pay for dinner whatever was but if you had challenged everybody and they had that point it was on you so now you had to think about oh I don't want to just challenge everybody what if they have their coin right so I pull it out and he had this look on it's nothing are you challenging me I said no no my beard itches and there's the legend begins okay so that's a legend of the scratchy beard okay so I was just quick thinking on my part didn't know what else to say so next thing you know that went viral and so all the guys in our little little coin club you know they're always scratching their beers by the way warning it will turn it white you see how it works now I don't do the mustache as much which is my problems that's kind of darker but it will turn your beard white just so you know okay that was the legend of the coin that's what we had more time to you know spend because we needed to learn the legend of the Corning so if you're going to be on the virtual map you need a coin and actually I wonder if we can make the dots on the map look like little m2i coins hey how many of you saw this week's partial pearls did you see the picture that was used for the pigeon I've been it was very ancient looking empty why coins that was great Julie my wife and then and the ladies who put the artwork together did a great job made it look like mty coins excellent excellent they look like ancient ancient Israel you know my wife just walked in I was just telling them how they you made the oh my amp the ymt I programmed coins look I get into why coins in the partial pearls yeah see see did a good job with that weeds idea thank you don't wait that was good all right so so I just wanted to share that with you so we will try to get the map up soon if anybody is a web person and they think I might have one so that works out I'm not sure that we'll have to see what I might pull out of here after that okay now so what are we teaching today are you saved actually I almost was gonna do are you saved part eight Shepherd the weed from the future who already thought he heard part seven yes before party so he thought we're up there part 9 okay no actually I think I'm gonna try something a little different I don't know how long this is gonna go I don't know if it might take an hour or may take 30 minutes and we'll see if it goes real short we might do a little bit of are you safe part eight or whatever else we have to do but I think we may have a really good Q&A that we'll do even longer and I've got some interesting thoughts here so let me start my get my timer set up okay we're good here I'm not sure I'm gonna need this so for all of you tell all your friends all that Rabbi see if he's verse after verse after verse I don't have any today say Bob's like I tell all my friends he just reads the verses in jest and he's gonna get up there like a preacher today I am sort of am sort of maybes cuz I'm in the Adventist building I don't know maybe it's affecting me no that's a he said that first no I can move that is it messing up the whole scene here all right okay you'll get over there already we're on alright alright so today because it's Shavuot I I really wanted to do something shava or related I didn't want to do the sort of mainstream thing where you're getting to your Easter teaching and you get the Christmas teaching and you get the you know with you every year you hear the same thing every year every year every year and so I didn't want to have it be that way like with the Holy Days where you gonna get the trumpets teaching in the atonement teaching and the Shavuot G but still I feel like we need to do something because it's chavo something that kind of addresses the day okay of course I had an idea and I thought Julie about it then I realized wait a minute I went back to the archive and realized I did that teaching already like to chef what's ago this idea that came in my head and I said okay so that's not what I want to do so I but I just felt really pressed and so I kept leaning towards doing a teaching I thought would be close like a follow the pattern then I realized that I'd already done everything on that teaching so I wanna I want to kind of walk through something and I think there would be a great exercise I think it's really important because sometimes I think we get so verse focused and we're reading verses and reading verses that we're missing the application part or the the kind of checking the pulse of where we are in the walking apart and all those kind of things and the mindset of what we'll see when we go through this I think it'll be a really enjoyable exercise at least I'm hoping it won't be okay and so what I want to talk about here with Shavuot and now let's remember what Shavuot is Shavuot is two things as far as historically two main events you have the receiving of the Torah at Mount Sinai and you have the launching of the the assembly at Acts chapter two in the upper room so to speak okay so those are your two big events and we've talked about in the past you know I have a teaching call from Sinai to the upper room and we talked about the comparisons and those kind of things we're not going to do that today and so you can go back and listen to that we're going to try in the future and I already did this before Passover but we're going to try to do in the future is to accumulate the teachings that are related to a particular feast and make a little playlist of them prior to a feast and put them up on the YouTube so you can find them so you can know what teachings you listen to before chavo or before trumpets or atonement he's gonna take the ones from the years past and have them in a playlist okay so we know that Shavuot really commemorates these two major events and really both major events has a lot of things in similar it was the similarities between them in terms of the idea that they were life-changing in similar ways okay so I wanna I want to kind of go through a bunch of things I want to just gonna get I'm gonna read through this real quickly to give you an idea then we're gonna break it down so when we look at each of the places each of the events the Sinai event and the Upper Room we'll call them that's how I'll label them for today Sinai in the Upper Room okay so Sinai was the receiving of the Torah and upper room was the receiving of the Ruach we'll call it that okay both places had a certain amount of changing of authority structure can we agree all right they were coming out of Egypt under an authority structure and also those that were in Jerusalem and those that were in Israel at the time of Yeshua when we get to Acts chapter 2 they were also coming into a new Authority structure because you have the Pharisees and the Sadducees and all this other stuff that was established and now this new thing was being established you have this changing of authority structure and what I want to talk about is the mindset of the people in both situations from the point of view and I'm gonna just kind of read these through as bullet points quickly and then we're gonna go back and address each one so for example I want to talk about well let's let me rephrase this I want to talk about their thoughts but I also want you to think about your thoughts because guess what you also are having a same type of yours a similar or same type of journey you're coming out of some bondage you're coming out of straw Jers you're coming into a new knowledge and coming under new structure the things that are happening so I want us to think about and address what they were likely going through and see ourselves in that does it make sense all right so when we're talking about the Sinai event you know what were their thoughts about where they were coming from same thing with the Upper Room you know they're coming from something well how did they feel and how do you feel about where you're coming from because that's a big part of the problem as you're coming out of something how do you feel about what your coming out of because some of you miss some of it some of you have bitterness and anger towards some of it some of you I mean wide spectrum of emotions about where you're came where you came from and some of you haven't fully come from yet either you still kind of have a little piece of you still hanging back there before I'm back where you were before but there's a wide spectrum of emotions and feelings attached so there so what's what are your thoughts and emotions about where you came from what do you think it was we'll talk about this specifically with the people in Sinai you know coming out of the bondage of slavery of Egypt what do you think it was with the basically mostly Jewish community coming to this beginning launch of the assembly with the Apostles you know from where they came from what about their thoughts about the journey you know they didn't get to Sinai first they went through a journey they had to leave out of Egypt they had to see what was that what was done there what was done in both places before the upper room and before Sinai signs wonders miracles how did that affect their thoughts how do they feel about these things as because I mean here they are going into this unknown journey to some degree what about their thoughts about where they were going I mean they really didn't know to some degree where they were going and how would that affect their thoughts and their approach and their excitement about maybe their fears about where they're going and where we going anyway how about their thoughts about how they were gonna get there and who was gonna lead that journey you know that Moses wasn't always looked at like oh we're so glad Moses is leading us he's our man they didn't feel that way about the power either some of the time or yushua what about the thoughts about how your lives or their lives are about to change because some of you when you came into this and some of you were brand new and you're just coming into now you're starting to experience some things that you said whoa I didn't know that was gonna happen I didn't realize it was gonna change my life this much I didn't realize it was going to affect all of these areas of my life okay what about the thoughts about what life was now going to be like because a lot of you still are still wondering I wonder what life's really gonna be like as this is going through and when we get ultimately to where we're supposed to be in the terms of Sinai we're going to talk about their thoughts about the Torah because now they're coming out of Egypt and are actually going to get instructed directly by the creator of all things of course when you look at the upper room they have an opportunity to see how they're now having their thoughts about Torah in the context of the Messiah having come because they had Torah but also we have the context in Reverse the context of Messiah because now a lot of you are coming out of a Messiah place and now you haven't I understand Messiah in the context of Torah they didn't have that problem they all had tour to begin with but most of you came from a Messiah place that was totalus and now you have this context change that's gonna affect the way you think and your approaches and stuff okay both groups had to deal with their there the whole issue of the new authority structure and you could see in the examples in both that it went absolutely smooth no issues at all oh we're in The Book of Numbers now we're gonna see all kinds of fun okay all right I mean because there's there's just smooth sailing Moses just said things follow me everybody just listen it was great right okay Paul didn't have any problems with the guys in his groups they just did everything the way he had left them to do and all right no issues okay then I want to talk about that within that authority structure the way people understood their roles because we kind of touched that a little bit by saying how there was a rebellion of this and that but understanding your roles with inside the structure because he in Egypt they knew what their roles were go make bricks okay or go cut the straw for the bricks or whatever it was but what is your role in a more quote unquote free structure well you have freedom within a structure both groups have that problem understanding their roles within structure and so what I want to talk about in the end of all of this is the process going forward which I believe is this we are here and they were there to receive right they came to syenite to receive what dattara they were brought out of Egypt to receive a certain thing a certain thing called me phrase that a certain type of freedom they were gonna receive freedom and not freedom from all masters but freedom from one master to a different master alright we know the verses talk about that your slaves to whom you serve whether its end to death or Torah righteousness on to life and that kind of thing so we were not putting off all masters coming out of Egypt nor were they doing all of that in the upper room situation but they were coming under a different authority structure and so people are coming to receive they wanted to receive the Ruach they wanted to receive the Torah they wanted to receive different things in these places which we're all about I need I want all about receiving which is great because guess what you were created to be a receptacle for what he had you he wanted to give he had this idea of what he wanted to give to a a world a universe to people and he created you to receive all that we have versus saints his good pleasure to give you all kinds of wonderful things however the receiving wasn't supposed to end there okay it was supposed to then be something you could take change you and apply in your life you could use it in your life they needed the Torah to do what they would have what would they expect to do what or apply it right there was to be applied in their life what about the Ruach was supposed to be applied in your life so you got an upper room Torah at Sinai the same the same thing you were expected to apply it to your life and then it was supposed to do what transform you through the application can we gray right so you now you're receiving you're applying and now you're transforming and what you're transforming into hopefully is into him right into the image of the Sun and then we're supposed to do what share with other people so I'm gonna go and wrap this up after we go through it we're gonna go now back and break this thing down piece by piece but as we do so I want us to understand that ultimately there's a process for going forward and that is receive because some of you you're like sponges right now you are just soaking it all up this is all new to you and you're focused mostly in the receive mode some of you have done a lot of receiving already and you're struggling with some of the apply mode and some of you because applying it is causing you problems and issues because of whatever and we're going to talk about what those might be like here you're struggling in the transformation mode because you're still trying to stay you while you're applying and you're not becoming him you know Philippians 2:5 there I quoted a verse for you Philippians 2:5 oh I'll probably quote lots more you know let this mind be in you we're supposed to have his mind what well when you receive and you apply you transform you get his mind that's part of that process and then ultimately we share this with others it becomes a blessing that goes forward and so let's start by looking at the Sinai event and then we'll look at the Upper Room event what what can you imagine and by the way I want you to also think of yourself in these pictures right what would you imagine and I think we did this in a teaching at Passover last year imagining what it was like coming out of Egypt I want you to imagine wait now what it would be like arriving at Sinai and you're sitting there and you've got 40 days to think about stuff because Moses disappears on you but you sit there going okay we're here now you probably also were thinking all along this little journey was only a short journey a couple of weeks to get you to Sinai I think it was about fifty days or so okay okay but we get to Sinai all right and the getting to the receiving of the Torah of course when you think about that journey and it was a shorter journey that because I was in waiting for Moses to come down with the commandments he's got this time to think about wow I was just in Egypt we were slaves now we were generationally slaves so we kind of understood this life this is our life and a lot of you have grown up generationally with that whatever your life was and now you come into this it when you come into this all of a sudden life is very different and you are no longer just like everybody else you used to grow up with live would spend your life with work within everything else see as your as a slave living amongst other slaves guess what everybody's a slave you're a slave it's all whatever but now you're different and you found a path out of that now some of you may have experienced this in your own lives because you grew up in an area of poverty or some other thing that was abusive or or disconnected and dysfunctional and you ended up being or somebody you know and there being the one to step out of that generally speaking does everybody celebrate that when they see you doing that or do they try to attack you and drag you back down into the muck okay so here they were and they were as a huge group they came out of all that they witnessed the signs and wonders and all those kind of things another sitting at Sinai and they're not really sure what they're receiving now think of it like the ask seek knock stuff that you're supposed to do we talked about that in the in the journey video where it talks about everybody's journey begins the same way that he disturbs your peace and when the peace is disturbed you start to seek and get and asking knock after answers for that you want to figure out what it is that message that you're missing or that's not right or whatever it is but you don't know what that's gonna look like yet do you well it's kind of where they are in Sinai in the upper room they got excited about an opportunity Yeshua had come through the Apostles testimony had given a lot of people an excitement about an opportunity and now that we're going to have to walk this live this to do something but it was not really clear what that was gonna look like yet I'm sorry can you just try to imagine their mindset and probably some of you say oh I can imagine that real while I'm sitting here right now that same mindset because I really don't understand all this stuff I just know that it seems like it's the answers to all these things I've been looking for but the more I started understanding it the more it's a little scary because it's gonna really put a big giant bull's-eye on me and I'm gonna stand out in front of all my family and friends and I'm gonna maybe rather kind of go backwards a little bit back to where it was comfortable even though it was not necessarily joyful but we can't really comfort we can get really comfortable in our suffering you can really it's amazing the things and conditions that we can actually tolerate and find comfortable it's incredible and so we have to be careful with all that I'll be aware of that mindset in the danger of that mindset and so here they're sitting there at Sinai and Moses comes down and he says well actually he always speaks and he said now we got a real Authority now bear in mind these are people that have grown up with idols all around them and those idols never said a word now the Creator is speaking now you can probably understand why they said Moses if we got to hear any more we're gonna die this is too powerful for us this is too overwhelming for us you talked to us I mean we can't hear directly from him I think there's other things that we're going on there as well but just to give that peace of it and so now this is a structure that's being imposed and it's not just Moses claiming anything and the plagues obviously happened in Egypt and then the pillar of cloud led them and the pillar of fire led them but still now Moses came down he's got these tablets and that voice is endorsing Moses and yet still they rebelled and still they give him grief still things happen it's unbelievable it's really unbelievable but then it's very believable because we do it we've got the book we've got the accounts we have the signs and wonders and by the way do you not have the signs and wonders in your own life right and so you have seen what he's done you've seen the things that he is doing and that's the same thing before the upper room and the same thing before Sinai and even then the bigger things that happened right at those moments right we have all the thunderings and lightnings in both situations you can go back to the teaching that does the comparison between sign in the upper row and so what were these people thinking that's a good name for a teaching by the way what are you thinking okay they're thoughts about where they've come from I'm sure that they had very clear thoughts as they were leaving and some of you the same thing you had very clear thoughts as you were leaving the church or leaving where you were from not understanding how everybody was going to react to what you did also not realizing some of the other choices you would now have to make an adjustment because guess what all of a sudden you didn't realize that your boss and work and Saturday was now going to be a problem and you may have a career change that you don't want to make because you like your job or because you just are afraid to change because some of you have jobs you hate and have whined enough about it and now he's giving you a reason to get a new job and now you're all upset because the unknown is scarier than the known and that's a big part of the thought process that they were going through is the fear of the unknown we always prefer the known even if the known is awful that make any sense but we do you know I heard somebody one of the motivational speakers was talking about some guy was quoted how they were there was something in ancient times where they would take somebody that was basically going to have the death penalty and they could say look you could either have the death penalty here or you can have you can have whatever's behind that door you can go through that door well what's behind the door not telling you do you know that almost always he took the death penalty and through the door was freedom because somebody then asked by the way what was behind the door freedom they thought it maybe they were thinking it's torture maybe they're gonna have to go be tortured for the rest of your life and working some mines or pits somewhere or whatever other thing and they would just rather die but that fear of the unknown isn't that incredible people might you might be surprising you might think of yourself we are so susceptible to choosing a known awful over a possible better situation but it's unknown well what if it's worse what if it's no good what if I don't find a job what if what if what if what if it works why are you doing this if you don't have that what if it works actually you should be a lot stronger that should be a total belief that it works but at the cyanide point there at the point of what if it works what if it doesn't work and some of you still have a little of that going on okay can you believe that was what their mindset was at Sinai even some of them in the upper room what if this is a big deal that I'm doing and it turns out I'm making a mistake and you ever have those thoughts as you started coming into this of course you did this is an unknown and some of you been burned enough before I made enough big deals that you know you've already wore everybody out making all those choices and yeah I have four I've counseled with some of you and you've said things like rabbi I can't do another one of these things and have a turn out to be no good I need to make the right choice this time and I said this I said the same thing I always say which is are you gonna let that disempower you completely lose you're afraid you already know you don't want to be where you were and you've already done the research to know that this looks like what you need to go so go because Abba always uses phrases like to taste of so come in and taste of it but don't be so afraid to taste it you know it's funny with little children right you gotta say come on I want you to taste this Lord all of a sudden their mouth shuts like a vault you know by the way you notice they never do that with ice cream I was sitting with my family at a Rita's ice cream or something like that and somebody was in there with their little baby and I heard them say something like oh this could be this is exciting take pictures this is this is someone this is my kids first ice cream and a kid opened right up for it how do they know do they open up for their first broccoli no but there was no hesitation the ice cream comes over the kids like this it was lunging at it he's never tried it ever how does he know but I've always told my children it's okay if you don't like something but you never know you may find something you really love that you wouldn't have found out if you didn't try it my son loves spicy hot stuff if he had never tried it he didn't ever know some people don't but you don't know until you try so it's the idea of being getting over that fear of that unknown right so here they are they're sitting there they got this fear of the unknown now they have mixed emotions about where they came from because remember there was the leeks oh they must have some really delicious leeks I don't know because they wanted to go back for those leeks I mean they could have packed some up with them or something I don't know what the problem was but the leeks the leeks all right so but that only was when life started getting challenging when they thought okay getting back to their mindset some of them thought and some of you think or had the thought that oh when I make this change it's all gonna be wonderful now isn't that what they were thinking and when it turned out it wasn't so wonderful they were like oh did you bring us out here to kill us in the desert and they're all whining and complaining even though the creator of all things just annihilated like the greatest city on the planet at that time and brought them out of it pass them through water dry but no that's not enough but what's your similar experience that's that you're acting like it's not enough because some of you were thinking like the matrix I think I ate the wrong pill here I didn't want to know the truth I didn't want to see just how far this goes down the rabbit hole but you said you did you told everybody you did I can't tell you how many people have said oh no I just want the truth that to the test if you want but are you willing are you ready are you able but see that's what not everybody was okay not everybody was so what were their thoughts the same thing with the upper room you know this this thing was creating a lot of stir thousands of people following this guy Yeshua there were these twelve main people that seemed to be around him there was this big gathering for Shavuot and then there's this you know Peter gets up and starts giving this big speech and things are going on real impressively and people got to be thinking about I don't know do we need to get involved with this or not I mean we kind of were involved with it but the guy died and not everybody saw him resurrected and so does that mean it's over now but these guys are telling us he's resurrected and he's sitting at the right hand and all this other stuff well it's kind of strange and hard to believe stuff for some people okay see you know you and I all of us are looking at this 2,000 years later where there's denominations and billions of people that believe in this man who was resurrected was that the case at Chuvalo this was a brand-new thing that only a few people knew about and as it was sharing it not everybody said oh of course he is right you know and so I'm just saying think about the difference now of course we have an advantage because we can see that this is something that didn't just die out because it was just a story or whatever because there's been a lot of legends do you notice that most of the most if not all mythologies have all disappeared because people come to realize they were just but they were okay but this has held on and it's not only holding on it's thriving because it's true but they didn't know that they were dealing with another okay do I believe these guys are not and now they're talking about a whole different mindset on things and do I want to be a part of that and by the way we already know how thrilled the establishment is Sadducees Pharisees and the rest of those guys are just loving these guys looking to jail them killer everything else and by the way that guys show has got an army huh his little hit squad coming around looking for them all not an army but you know he was really after them all I don't want to get on that guy's list okay so what was that mindset like when you compare for yourself how about their thoughts about where they're going because you know a lot of people have asked me well where's this going where are we going what's this looking like not like where's this going in terms of ultimately into the kingdom because I think all of us embrace that we're all on some paths hopefully that leads ultimately into the kingdom but what's a journey look like with each other and now CMT oh I formed to give a possibility of what that could look like what it could look like the journey between here and there a structure to allow that to flourish to encourage it to nurture it etc that doesn't make it the one and only right way to do things we're just putting it out there as sort of an example this could work or at least hopefully it's working better than whatever we had before because we had before we all know hadn't been working this is our attempt at doing something that matches the scriptural model that hopefully works okay so I know that all of us have had these thoughts that but where are we going are we all going into community this has been a big question over the last two three years or we've got to start moving near each other and actually a lot of you have already done that are we actually starting to get the sense that we're supposed to be a family in a body you know what started out as a few people on a Friday night at this guy's house all right now ends up being 3040 people every weekend because people are coming not because it's a party because they love each other the body is starting to become a family they're starting to fall in love with each other it's not just church you go to on Sunday or on Sabbath if your congregation was from a Jewish point of view and then we show up at a holy day but this is now something that's forming into a body into a community but could they see that here now there's a bunch of individual families that what they had in common in the Sinai event was their suffering and that bonded them together but now we're not under the suffering anymore now what's going to hold us together so we need to be held together by threats and Lutton and fear and suffering and bondage we're gonna be held together by love joy and all of that good stuff that comes from family coming together by the way all of you have families it's not always joyful so when we say oh we need to be one big family yeah you haven't seen mine that's what somebody will say to me oh yeah I don't want that I said you need to treat each other like family somebody - oh hell no now what I grew up with oh did I say that out loud okay but some of you have that experience like no I don't want family the way I've got generationally cursed we want family the way it's supposed to be the way scripture has always described if you've always had thing going I've met it seen that I don't know what that looks like I write some of you I know a lot of you struggle with the whole older brother thing issuer's our older brother well maybe your older brother was the worst thing in your whole life oh we need to pray to our Heavenly Father father nobody on this planet was more scared of than father father abused me sexually mistreated me and all those others the father's the last thing you're looking for how do you get that change in your mindset oh we need to have structure are you kidding me all the worst things in my life would be because I've been in structure that's the mindset that these people were in so were you a lot of you dealing with these same issues and so Shavuot is supposed to be about a breakthrough and a moving forward this is a momentous moment a momentous moment I guess it's okay all right this is this this huge thing it's huge okay sorry having a trump moment all right it's huge it's it's really important that we understand that Sinai and the Upper Room we're supposed to be these major launching points and so this in your life is supposed to be an experience where you are rehearsing and thinking through the launch where did you come from where are you going what's it supposed to look like what's my part in it because I promise you they all had these same thoughts we read about and we think I was so simple of this or that and yeah there was a few bad eggs and they rebelled now there was a lot of discontent I'm sure because when something is not clear and established under Authority there's always going to be questions and discontent and problems and issues which is why you schewe has to come and he's coming with a rod of iron I need to bring one of those up here so I haven't to show you right of iron okay it doesn't say he's coming with a tickle feather it doesn't say he's coming to just you know coddle everybody he's coming with a rod of iron why because there's going to be a need to smack a couple of heads and wake people up because they're not ready for coming under authority oh but roba you know I've been loosening that well first of all the person saying this would never call me rabbi okay so uh Steve you know this whole structure thing is wrong in bed and I read in Scripture that we're just all taught by the Ruach and none of us needs a leader anymore we're all kings and priests by the way that's not the way I read this now we are destined to be a kingdom of priests and the priests did what served so we're gonna be a kingdom of servants and so let's get that whole self sovereignty and I'm gonna be all an authority over my own self and everything else that's your biggest problem anyway I can't blame you for having the issues because I know you've been abused misused mistreated neglected and everything else that leadership has ever done but can we agree that at Sinai or at least by the time they got there and going forward there was now imposed a structure we see this right now in the Book of Numbers right they do with the census and you have heads of thousands you had so hundreds you have all this stuff happening as they're getting ready for army getting ready for the war because that's what it says all those of age to go to army go to be part of the army go to war it's unbelievable but yet instead of being hopeful and optimistic and looking for a good structure we just decide well it's been done so badly for so long we don't want it so no wait this goes further because we don't want it we're gonna find justification that it's actually wrong and we're not supposed to have it that's the leaps we make but Moses is bringing structure so were the Apostles look a lot of people like to talk about well I think we should be like the first century church and you know we need to have like a very first century model well are you ready to take everything sell it all and lay all of that at my feet or whoever the leadership is you understand that's what they did they took and they put it on they gave it to the Apostles the Apostles distributed as needed are we ready for that are you ready for that level of authority structure and that level of service if you're in the authority structure and the responsibility for that see we don't know what we asked for sometimes okay so we talked about that they were wondering about where they were going and I don't mean just where they were going like to promise them well what's this gonna look like are we just now free from Egypt then we could just go off and I'm sure a lot of people did I mean they're without now they were out there and especially after they pass through the water and they weren't being chased anymore you know by the armies of course they knew they still were dealing with the surrounding i'ts everywhere all right so that it wasn't necessarily that's safe to just run out and do whatever and that's why mostly I'm guessing is why mostly they stayed together because it really wasn't anybody had to force them to stay together but what is this gonna look like Oh Nathan and Harvey Roman I was gonna say Moses core off they go you know that isn't a racket here with your brother yeah who put you in charge uh well you know even Aaron and Miriam had that problem yeah we were all hope there we were all there in Egypt in there with the soldier and Yowie says well excuse me this is different I put him in charge so let's always remember the Melchizedek ian is higher than the Levitical because Moses was the nut kazoo dekyon Aaron was Levitical the one priesthood has the higher authority over the other matter of fact that's why you see Moses mikvah and anoint Aaron and his sons who anoints Moses nobody he was anointed and picked from above you don't see anybody putting him in the water and doing all these things individually he was the top of that chain he was the leadership authority so continuing here so we're talking about now there are thoughts about how their lives were going to change see a lot of us are so zealous we should start running and we really don't think about how much this is going to affect your life and how it's going to cause you to change I mean they were in a very solid routine as slaves even the ones in Israel during Yeshua's time and when he had you know when we get to Acts chapter 2 and they apostles there they all had lives jobs lives friends and things that were kind of just chugging along and everybody kind of knew the routine and everybody expected the same things for each other whatever you know when we read yesterday the one who said well good teacher what do I need to do to have eternal life and he said well you you know blah blah blah and eventually said we need to sell everything and follow me oh that's gonna change my life are you and we said that we talked this good talk don't we are you ready to give up your attend your attachments we talked about that yesterday of course those who are watching this teaching of what was yesterday are are you saved part seven okay so then you know we're teaching a little get are you ready to give up your attachments so for people that is just watching this as a separate teaching how do you have a name for this house think over the name of this is some point okay are you willing to give up all those things that are holding you back as you're attached to them when he says I want you to let go of your attachments and follow me have you really thought about you know it says who builds a house and doesn't count the cost first see we just start running ahead and get all zealous and excited by the way you do that also with the sideline peripheral pet doctrine things not understanding that you just zoom in ahead we need to slow down prayerfully consider and come under authority and check what we're doing with authority get somebody to counsel and say that might not be wise or that's not safe or hey you're missing this which is why you're running that way we need to be going this way there's some disconnect that you didn't see all right all of you know what this is like cause you've all had mentoring situations or you parented a child or when you were a child your parents you say saw stuff you didn't see anybody have that experience right you argue wanted to go running this way but you didn't realize it was a big pit right over there somewhere that you didn't see and so it's good to have somebody and of course if you started running and you said you didn't go get the advice or you went and got advice and ignored it guess what you ended up in the pit everybody right and that's when the authority structure goes when are you gonna listen I'm just trying to help you I can't tell you how many people call me and they still go into the pits because they won't listen so what's life going to be are you willing to find Authority and submit to it are you willing to start walking this out and change your life and compliance with his authority talking about Authority are you gonna come under the Covenant the Covenant is an authority structure I talked you listen that's what he says and listen is the Shema to hearing and doing don't just gather information you're going to apply it are we ready to do that they they were just barely starting to understand this at Sinai they were like okay we're all good about this leaving Egypt thing we weren't so good about it when we saw the soldiers behind us in the chariots but once they all died in the water okay we're good again but wait a minute my stomach's rumbling we're not good again okay I'm thirsty oh we're not good again it's wine wine complaint complaint by the way here all you guys doing it which makes you Israelites by the way good job you come by it genetically and honestly I actually had some of the Torah portions when I used to do the Torah portion cycle as a teaching series I think I subtitled one of them wine wine complaint complaint by the way do you understand that the griping whining and complaining is is a it's a bomb it'll to him okay because it shows what a lack of faith I like a trust lack of Emunah why are you whining either he causes or he allows if he causes and allows everything then there's nothing to complain about he allowed it because you were supposed to learn something out of it or whatever or he caused it because you were supposed to learn something out of it or whatever so it's not whining about it it came from him it's a gift well I want to return the gift no returns there's no return department with Yahweh that's it there's no you don't get in line like a Walmart and cutter returns okay doesn't work that way so I want you to spend some time over the next couple of days whatever time you can spend thinking about what you were thinking about in other words what were you thinking about coming into this where are your thoughts now are you really understanding where this is going what's expected of you and how this is going to impact your life because a lot of you have made decisions in their lives did you didn't realize we're gonna impact your lives the way they did give you an example some of you have been married and have been divorced and have children and some of you might know if I'm talking about you I'm not talking about you okay I'll give you an example and you may then take that situation and think okay I understood what I was doing and it's now good and I've got my children and I'm divorced in this custody issues all that stuff but now all of a sudden guess what you want to move but you can't because you got married once and you had children once and you got divorced once and that person has rights now and now you're living with the consequence of something that maybe you hadn't thought through enough when you started it all the way in the back in the beginning and this is the hard thing about life we make decisions and we don't always think I'm through well enough or get counseled well enough or whatever it is and then we end up with consequences we don't like the consequences nobody does but that's part of the lessons that should be telling you let me not do this again in the future let me get counseled and get wisdom and make better decisions so I don't have to deal with the consequences of the foolishness that can get me into trouble and we're all capable of big foolishness and do it on a very regular basis but I'm just giving you like an example of that you you were thinking about oh I want to marry this tried love this person everything else but maybe you didn't really get to know them as good as you should've and then you get married and even though it's not going so great but you don't want to get divorced or maybe you heard the church teach you that you can't get divorced if you're not sure what that's all about listen to the teaching I did on divorce your marriage and putting away so you know the real truth about what that's all about but then you finally do get divorced but at this point now you got three or four kids and now there's custody issues and because once married always married you're never getting rid of that person let's just disappear on you they're still gonna be in your life and in the children's lives or whatever so some people think I'm not gonna get divorce is gonna fix everything well they're not gone after that okay not usually and then after dealing with that stuff now we may want to make a decisions you can't and you want to do something and you can't because you've already made that bed and you're still lying in it and so sometimes you trap yourself so this is all about things that you can avoid through wisdom structure guidance mentoring disciple not that it's perfect but I promise you you'll probably avoid 90 plus percent of it okay would that be worth it if you could avoid 90% or more of the then why not give that a try cuz a lot of you still aren't doing that you're not giving it a try okay so what about their thoughts about okay this is for those you that are new okay because I already talked a little bit what life was now going to be like what about their thoughts about the Torah what were your thoughts coming into this about the Torah some of you came in because you found the Sabbath or maybe you came in because you found the holy days but you didn't really find the whole Ram the Cajun understand what Torah observance really is it's a lifestyle change okay it's not I never said this before I think it's probably this might come across good it's not a diet the gender still I'm saying in other words you those of you that want to lose some weight or something you want to go on a diet diet is a short-term thing that gets a short-term result and then you're back where you started or worse this is supposed to be a lifestyle change of who you are so if you really want to change your health physical whatever you change the lifestyle of your eating habits and your working out you know you're moving your body habits well guess what Torah was a lifestyle not just something you do or do some of whatever for a short period of time it's a deciding that this is now Who I am I am covenant 'add okay I want to do a teaching called covenant it I just I wouldn't want to do it today but I don't have time to put it together that's got a lot of verses okay but to covenant total change of life you can't stay who you were the whole relationship is different and so I wonder if they didn't write it on my notes I should've put there what were they thinking about this idea of covenant thing did they understand it do you understand it because all these people so well well you know I went to First Baptist covenant this or I went to find put covenant the name of their churches it doesn't it's like Christianese again it's like a term that no longer means what it really meant it is probably the most impactful important word of all of this he wants you to be in covenant with him everything else is here is explaining what that looks like okay everything else in your scriptures is explain how that works how you get into that covenant what it means when you're there what's expected of you what you can expect of him everything in this book is about covenant what that looks like but what were your thoughts about these things some of you have thoughts were oh I didn't realize this but we're really supposed to be on Saturday oh I know I didn't realize about Christmas and Easter so I need to keep feasts but that didn't that wasn't everything was it it was just the beginning of scratching that little surface you know some of the people were that way in the Acts chapter 2 in the upper room they were tor observant but you know what they weren't they weren't walking in the fullness of the intent so their Torah observance imagery just like you are thoughts about Turin look if you came out of the church your thoughts about Torah very negative burdensome terrible under that law blah blah blah right okay well here the Jewish community had very positive thoughts about Torah but it was limited to the mechanical and Yeshua came to do what give us the fullness of what was intended so that we can walk in both spirit and truth the way I described that the truth was the mechanical the spirit was the fullness of what it was it the spirit of it so he made it much more clear and also much more difficult or challenging to really not commit adultery not commit murder not to steal not he said this is what it really means to do that the fullness because a lot of us would like to lawyer up or act like we're lawyers and start to nitpick and go well I'm not actually breaking this command because it literally says this and I didn't literally do that and you schewe says uh-uh uh-uh you wanted to you thought about it you did this you do that you are breaking it it's not just the mechanics okay so some of you work at jobs and you are not actually taking anything from the job taking it home and stealing it but just sitting there on your phone during working hours I'm Marco Polo or Facebook or whatever and you're stealing your boss is time isn't that still stealing okay so I'm just saying is the fullness not just the literal so the the the upper room people the New Testament is that Acts chapter two group that was being launched now had to think about an address well now what does it look like when he expects us to walk this out fully it's a big change in how they saw Torah now they started out seeing it different than maybe the people did coming out of you know the churches and stuff like you guys are dealing with of course the cyanide people had had a couple of hundred years of slavery and they were already disconnected didn't have it formally taught to them so they were keeping some things or other things not maybe before slavery but in the slavery do you think they were allowed to do anything how many feasts did you think you have to keep it as a slave oh I'm sorry I can't come in to make bricks it's Shabbat start getting whipped we're gonna do Shabbat here go make a brick okay so this whole tour change is a big change all right this whole tour chains a big change and so we need to really understand that Sinai and you I'll set it again so we can edit that out so Sinai and you both are dealing with trying to really embrace that this is coming directly from the one who invented created and made everything it's not just man-made stuff not just some guy up here teaching you about it it's not just because it's in a book but that this came believe you don't have to believe it but you claim to believe it we're gonna be sitting here but are you actually going to believe it that this came from the one who made you not optional it's a direct instruction it's an imperative he's expects you as his creation to obey and follow his word but do we actually feel like and we're and then embrace it and submit to it as coming from the creator of everything or do we do it more casually than that because that's what they struggled with almost immediately after Sinai is it understanding that's all like oh no no no no you teach us Moses because after all if you teach us we could just claim that well he's just a guy I came directly from Yahweh speaking it directly to them why they couldn't deny it I don't know Moses well we didn't know we could trust you what if you were just making up your own stuff that's the way they felt about Isaiah Jeremiah Ezekiel and all those guys well we gotta listen to you you oh you speak for Yahweh okay let's see but then the fruit board out well I warned you and looked everything went boom shoulda listened okay so these are all things we struggle with isn't that true I mean these are things that we're all dealing with still because here we are Chava what we're going to be going on a journey two trumpets it's a long journey okay we've got a long way to September there's lots opportunities to kind of get those disconnects going and we're excited they know about trumpets and atonement and so Kosuke because those are the fall feasts they're the ones that haven't been fulfilled yet they're the ones we're looking forward to but we're not going to get there if we don't get this figured out because this is the launching point Chava what's that launching point okay they were brought out of that's Passover climate so brought out of then we get to save water it's the launching point we're receiving we're getting all the stuff we're receiving now we got to figure out between now and trumpets because if you don't apply what you received you're not getting two trumpets okay the event that's coming where you Scheuer returns you're not going to be changed in that twinkling and be that one that's going to hear those words and be embraced as part of that first resurrection if you didn't apply what you learned at Sinai in the Upper Room in your life does it make sense to everyone especially if you listen to the once saved always saved are you safe teaching this shows that that doesn't work see if you're once saved always saved I of course you're making it all the way through they got a harp ready for me a nice soft cloud foolishness so one of the things that now needs to be addressed as they're coming through this whole process and they were addressing a sign interesting of the Upper Room is okay so there's a there's a new authority structure here because after all those who were enslaved had the slave masters and those who are in the upper room were under the authority of the Sadducees or Pharisees or whatever group they were under and now this is new thing this messianic believing tour observing group and so they're now a new opportunity to change authorities and structures and so not only do you need to choose the structure you're under but you're now gonna have to understand your role your position your role in that structure somehow everybody not everybody a lot of people out there are giving the idea that well everybody's our own teacher and everybody's a leader and everybody's what structure have you ever seen anywhere in scripture anywhere else where that works we have people that say well we don't believe in vertical leadership then why you believe in the Bible there's the Creator okay she she calls him the father the father is one leader above all everything's under his authority then there's a son and the son says that my father is greater than I and everything I do is what he tells me to do what i speaking i'm completely submitted under that authority so there's no sharing authority there I get so much attacks when I said help people that your shoe and the father are not equal because they're stuck in that Trinitarian nonsense I don't know how you win that argument with them because if you don't believe your shoe is on mouth saying the father is greater than I I don't know what to do with you if you can't believe I mean it's not one of those ambiguous verses he goes my father is greater than I how do you get equal out of that see I remember this in school right there was the equal sign and a little triangle thing greater than less than the shoe is on the arrow point side the father's on the open side okay issue a less than the greater than one called father no equal sign in there are they of the same stuff yes are they are they now eternal yes were they before time and all that yes but that's not talking about the authority structure but see but we don't want to talk about authority structure because it's been awful bla bla bla bla and yes it has but it's coming and it exists everywhere in Scripture and don't tell me well you know well Paul set up elders in these congregations and they all sat around the saying kumbaya made decisions together really then why were they sending them letters every five minutes cuz I don't know what to do because who was really in charge in Ephesus or in Philippi in Galatia Paul can we agree now they had authority within that structure and they helped to run the day-to-day operations that when he was travelling but this still was a vertical structure by the way when James said hey Paul get you you know what over here to Jerusalem what did he do he got up and he went because he was under that authority structure don't tell me the wise instructor you look at acts 15 everybody's talking and then James stands up anybody argue after that any comments after that they were done right he said this is what we're going to do everybody else shut up and said okay this is what we're gonna do he was in charge but what is what is our role in these things your role is not the person next to yous role it's not the person everybody has their own role in everything you got to figure out what yours is and one of the biggest things it's a negative thing that'll get you in big trouble with that this book says is usurping what is usurping you stepping into somebody else's role it's not yours don't step into somebody else's role look I've had this experience with both my in-laws and my parents so that's what I'm not picking anybody okay I'm standing right there or my wife is that it right there my children were doing something they should not be doing and one of us was about to go handle it and they start handling it and I look them in the eye say excuse me my child not yours I'm your child you want to do something with me that's fine that one's mine okay you don't get to usurp I'm standing now if I'm not in the room and you feel like you need to do something because there's nothing something dangerous or whatever and there's no authority but if I'm there and I see you people do this people online the livestream teachers are in the room teachers are doing things oh boy you guys do this a lot on the Facebook page and you need to stop it because no you're forcing me to do is I answer people's questions I have to shut the comments off because what you people will do is someone asks a question you all want to jump in there with yours brilliant answers they're not asking you they want to know what the leadership's position is on something so unless your leadership stop doing that oh well you just whatever just to listen to you look you can whine and complaining just whatever you want understand that that sounds like Karaka and Dathan and hava who and all those guys because you're not liking your position because what does Couric's whole thing well you know like that I just have to pack up the stuff I'd actually to get to pack it up Aaron in his son's pack you know but I just get to carry it I mean that's what he's whining about in like his job I don't care what my job is that he gives me as long as he gave it to me I want the job but embrace your job because you're trying to do mine that means you're not doing yours and somebody's missing out on something that they needed you to do selfish because if you're doing your job somebody will benefit from that because you have a role to stop trying to do mine or somebody else's and see that's the funniest thing and you know what we have a pin post at the top of the Facebook page and everybody's supposed to read it first and it says that you're not to jump in and just do all these type of things you know what they'll be like well you're just trying to control everything yes I am in this group which I have authority and responsibility to Shepard if you want to go and talk about everything under the Sun there's 400,000 other groups to do that in and everybody in MQ is welcome to go in those groups too and some of you do have all the fun you want in those groups but in this group oh by the way all of you that are on the mty Facebook group the group the one where you people post out the page we have to like it but the one where you are in the group if you send the link to somebody else's teachings it's not getting posted if you send teachings that you've done or other people that it's not getting posted this is an M TOI group oh you just don't have you know yes this group is getting what this group is supposed to get from this group I'm not saying ever that you can't get information about all this other stuff from other places I've never told you you can't go listen to anybody else but there's an expectation that if I let something get posted that everybody will assume I've already looked at it that it didn't agree with it can we understand that won't you think that if you saw it and stuff started getting posted and thinks and posted a LinkedIn stuff because see I can only block the initial post I couldn't block the comments unless I shut them off completely so what happened is somebody would say something I'd answer it it get posted and then somebody would post a teaching from somewhere else in the comment and what if you're wrong do you understand the role of a teacher and all the responsibility you take on yourself with all that do you think about that I think about that I know rabbi Tom thinks about that okay when he teaches he thinks about I Baba please don't let me be wrong when I open my mouth because I'm gonna be responsible but some of you boy your mouth is running before you even start thinking and you're typing as fast as you can because you're so brilliant after all you've been doing this for two minutes all I would do in this five years good you're a fifth grader look don't be offended and don't be insulted just listen okay listen all right I've been walking I was baptized in February of 2000 no what was ninety and remember to hear now eighty-seven sorry okay good my ears right 87 okay that's 31 years all right I was baptized now when I say this baptized as baptized into a Torah observant messianic understanding I've been teaching this since 98 or so 1999 right after I got married started with Bible study in there with a congregation so that's already going on 20 years almost did that make me right nope does it make me mean I know everything no but it means I probably have a better shot than the person who's doing this for five years or for three years and it's and it's struggling and you know remember I've not been in a mainstream understanding or mainstream behavior lifestyle etc ever so if you were in that you know that stuff's so hard to get out of your system and you're not you have no idea how much is still filtering through and people don't like it when I tell them timeout hold on that's the Christianity talking like what are you talking about that's the Christianity that you haven't let go of yet okay and I still have people that come in and this and they go on the website they put on the Facebook page where they want to post and they're talking about you know well you know my friend over at bubbly is a believer a believer what does that mean while they there they're in a mainstream church that doesn't make him a believer okay do we believe in what the Covenant we believe in Yeshua as the tour do we believe it that's a believer okay just believing Messiah exists as the Christians do doesn't make you a believer whatever that term is another true Christian each term you can't use because again usually doesn't mean anything right because people say to me well you know my friend so-and-so is a believer oh really what concrete you to go to well there there there there there's a mess Acosta a Pentecostal there Baptist there Lutheran they are believers in a not completely right system okay let's be careful of what we've used and what the terms we do because if you're still attached that doesn't just mean to stuff but the way you came from you're going to struggle can we understand that this is really important so let's kind of start to wrap this up here and Sinai and at the Upper Room the big question is this if you were there what are you going to do with what you received okay so you were both really theoretically when you come at this knowledge you can say I was at Sinai I was at the Upper Room I'm going through both experiences so what are you gonna do with that what are you gonna do with the Sinai experience in the receiving of Torah straight from the Creator what are you going to do with the receiving of a full understanding of Messiah and the fullness of the intent of the Torah and understanding his role in all of this what are you gonna do with that because that's when it's really about that's the whole point of this message maybe we'll call it Chavo what do you do is this I don't know well come up with something buddy what are you gonna do with all this it's great that you're receiving okay you receive now what now what because I see this in everything we do you know I don't want trying to pick on but it's a great example you know we have a potluck everybody wants to receive that everybody brings it's just our mindset we want to receive what about bringing what about giving what about serving what about esteeming others above yourselves what are you going to do with what you receive that's the key that's what he's watching everything in this book I think it's about him saying okay here it is I just sit there watching see what you do with it what are you gonna do with it you've been given instruction for life Moses says here's life and death right instruction for life and you've been given the understanding of the Messiah and his role and how he provides salvation what are you gonna do with it that's really the big question what are you gonna do with this I think what we need to do is receive apply transform and give okay I want you to receive it yes but then you got to apply it and then you've got to allow it to transform you you have to allow it to transform it has if it doesn't change you it's just still mechanics even if you're doing it in the fullness of the intensity it's still not enough if it doesn't change you remember we've talked about this often you could do all this stuff perfectly and still be a rude obnoxious jerk that nobody wants to be around you can you keep the Sabbath keep the Feast never commit adultery never murder never steal even the fullness of the intent right not giving wasting time of your boss on the phone you can do all of these things and still be a lousy rotten person nobody wants to be around because your attitude is so awful it hasn't transformed you into that Giver the willing to server the willing to sacrifice for others esteeming others above yourselves you haven't changed the loving joyful the fruit of the Spirit by the way there's no commandment that says you must have that it's they're listed Paul says this is what it looks like but you're not instructed to say that you have to have it but if you're not transforming it to His image you're not going to have it and then we got to give we want to share that with us how do you share with us walk it out be that light that shines that's giving right there it doesn't mean go and knock on the doors and say hey I got to share this with you or you need to know something know let them see your light shining let your light shine so before men so that they can see your heavenly father who has given you the stuff that you received that you're applying and has changed you and then when they talk to you and ask you what's up with you cuz I don't know about you when I started coming into this in 1986 8087 when I first started coming into this 23 24 years old my friends didn't know what happened to me because my language changed because growing up in college age you know into early 20s in New York City every sentence had a bomb in it there wasn't a sentence it didn't have an expletive in it somewhere and when I came into this that all disappeared and they thought what are you on what happened to you you know they thought some and weird happened to me I got abducted by aliens or something because it was so different some of you have similar experiences because your family's going what what happened to you see that what they need to see is that what happened to you brings blessing that the things that you used to struggle with are now healing and being restored so they can see the fruit in your life you know we've got a couple of people right now who are now coming into this with us because they've seen the fruit of me working with their parents in other words they saw how the parents were before in sort of a more Christian messianic sort of Hebrews Christian sort of form but coming into this with counsel with submission to Authority where both parents are not working with me their children are now willing to look at this because they said whatever you're doing is working we want to see what you're doing we want to understand it let the light the fruit shine out because they're going to see that you're different but they want to see that different is good that's what you must show them but if you're a tower terrorist and you're whacking and beating up everybody they're not seeing this as good if you're arguing about your calendar if you're arguing about the nature of the shape of the earth if you're arguing about the nature of the Godhead of your whatever dumb thing you're arguing about and by the way it's not that the thing is done but arguing about is is dumb Paul tells you that in Titus 3:9 there's another verse okay that's four baba and give you another verse okay says to argue about Torah is I'm profitable and useless don't argue about this stuff walk it out if you're right let people see it walked out let them see the benefit the fruit the blessing of it I mean was this useful it was good I'm glad let's pray javi no monkey no our father our King Father we come before you and we are at for all of us at a moment of reviewing and for some of us is very new our understanding what it would be like to be sitting at Sinai and at the Upper Room and examining the changes in our lives and our thoughts that are going through because of these experiences these two tremendous experiences the receiving of your word of your instruction the Torah and the understanding of Messiah in the context of the Torah and understanding what he really did for us and is doing for us is coming to do father help us to take and receive all from both of these experiences and to apply correctly in our lives the things that you would have us to do so that it can transform us and so we can understand how to be fitting fit perfectly into the structure and understand and embrace our roles in the structure what's called the body the structure that you call the body and that we would stay in our roles and not usurp anybody else's and father that we would then take all this and give to others by set letting our light shine and letting that bless them beyond words we could use beyond tracts we can hand happy and any of that stuff let them see what it looks like to be a child of the Living Elohim walking out these things as you intended so father we thank you we ask encouragement and strength as we go through all these things that you would be with us holding our hands and encouraging us all along the journey knowing fully that if we have emunah strength belief courage trust in everything you do that all will be as you say will be so father we thank you praise you and give you all glory and honor for all of this in the name of Yeshua Messiah main main I mean alright I'm almost looking forward to this part more than the teachings I'd like to hear your feedback because I think this is really powerful and the doing he sees it's working the funny part about it is I'm gonna share with you something happened last night and he was watching the Braves game and evidently they were losing and he hollers at me and he says Billy need to pray for these Braves I said I don't usually pray for things like that but I thought okay to myself I thought well father please help the Braves you know and the Braves won the game six to one now of course he was watching the game and not you but there's more okay about him telling somebody's funny okay so what she's gonna say just say it okay I forget a lot of things so I was telling so bad not so so this morning I heard him talking to a friend of his which happens to be my ex-husband and he said he said you know what the Braves he said really prayed for him like that's hysterical hey look even even people in my parents Jewish congregation if there's somebody like going through a major thing and they're in the hospital or something like that they asked her to tell me and for us to pray about it you know including the the the rabbi that we used to have there's wife used to pray or we'd ask for those kind of things and and so I mean they see the fruit they don't want to make all the leaps that they need to make with it but they can see some things that's kind of a funny story we appreciate that by the way just so we're clear you should not be watching the Braves game on Shavuot now I don't think Billy was probably watching the game but her husband was ok ok so and that's because he's not part of this and he's in his own world but at least look but because of her walking this out with integrity he has grown to respect and know that this is what she does ok and that's all I can encourage all of you to do with your family members is walk this out with integrity and as and as gently and in offensively as possible without crossing the lines where you would have to use you know lose integrity okay so if you do that they will eventually figure out what you will and won't do and stop asking you to do things you shouldn't do they'll figure it out okay because I'll see that you're not going to budge it's a waste of time so when my family would believe it not my Jewish family who keeps nothing when they might act you know call me and say we're gonna go do this thing and then later on it'll be on Shabbat I'll say it's Shabbat and let's go oh and they'll say they just know what there's no place to go after that okay all I gotta do is just remind them oh it's a holy day or oh it's this and they'll be like oh okay nevermind and so you can get them to that place be consistent be firm but maintain that maintain the fruit be gentle and meek and kind etc okay instead of saying what's wrong with you don't you know it's a holiday you pagan sinner that's kind of redundant isn't your pagan Center okay no months okay so I guess a pagan Center would be someone doing something right because they may be sitting being taken I don't know whatever okay the double negative turns into a positive or someone didn't they teach you that at school okay who's next who's next that's like what someone used to call me a stupid idiot I said okay I'm brilliant but I'm really stupid at being an idiot so I must be smart the weed you mentioned the responsibility concerning leaders and teachers and if you're gonna teach somebody you need to be aware of what the responsibility you're taking on yourself is well when I came back from being in the Middle East at various times and going through all that in my exuberance and everything else and everything I knew I would have thought I knew at the time I was basically telling a friend of mine who was in messianic congregation his walk was nowhere near remotely even where I was at the time which is not the greatest but you know and he took what I said and the stories I had told and I wasn't necessarily trying to teach him per se right he took that went with it went over to Israel got himself into some trouble the girlfriend he had at the time in Israel ended up getting an abortion and a whole bunch of other stuff that fell from that and I to a certain extent he had his own responsibilities in that but I am to a certain extent I blame myself because he was trying in his own way to follow my lead and I let him in a direction without it was it was not the best so be careful when you open your mouth to people about stuff you never know how they're gonna take it let me tell you something thank you for sharing that do we look there are there's so many times when I will instruct somebody and I will I will be pleading with them to follow instruction they won't but the one time you say something that you're just sort of saying it and passing it really is an instruction I'll take it along with it and so you don't know what people will do so you need to always be concerned about your mouth or in our case nowadays you're typing because we tagged more than we talk okay but whatever you're putting on to social media whatever texting or whatever you're doing you know be careful people are also going to interpret it in ways that aren't necessarily the way you intended it anybody ever had that happen okay and I say this over and over and over again communication is the hardest thing we do for you to actually receive what I say exactly how I mean it is got a very small chance that's why you have to repeat use different examples to make sure that now in the abundance of what I said maybe you'll get it and that's the same thing you have with people you talk to us that's just me to you I'm not saying you're hard-headed or something just when we speak to each other it's always going to go in through the air into your ears through the filters of your upbringing your background where you're at your emotions and everything else and so you'll you'll think I said things I didn't say alright this happens so often I spoke to one person the other day and said something they spoke to another person that person who spoke to me and said well so so said you said this that's not what I said it's kind of what I said it's partially what I said but not what I said all right so it's so in I thought it was something simple you you all have had this experience so realize if you're now teaching think about what they may do with what you just said all right and where they might take that it's a very high responsibility role who's next okay Beverly if the lights on it's off just push the button by the light okay there you go okay you got to put it right up by the mouth okay recently coming from Christianese I used to always think that you know things they went on in the Old Testament God was just so cruel and now I see a totally different and when you were talking about the perception and what they were thinking and feeling and things like that I thought to myself how many of them were just confused I mean because I'm so confused wonder how many got in trouble because they just didn't get it so okay well to some degree that's understandable in other ways it's not it has to do with how quickly they're willing to submit to the authorities the authorities are there to will you own your listen now when you're confused that's what the structure is there to help fix so if you go to the structure the leadership in the structure and say I'm confused now what you'll do this way you get trouble you'll talk to another confused person instead of talking to leadership so you think I know what I'll do I really don't want to call rabbi because after all he may say something I don't want to really do and I'm not ready for it so I'm gonna call this person who's been in it just as long as me or less and I'm gonna ask them which is why I tell you stop typing in suggestions answers and then solve it over there's problems in the Facebook page that cetera let the leadership do it okay because you're just gonna be the blind leading the blind you know where they end up and I've been app it right we're trying to get you out of the pits avoiding the pizza rolls problems and you guys keep wanting to lead each other right into them and so don't go to the person who's been doing this just five minutes more than you think they're so smart actually go to the leadership now if you don't have and I've said this a 500 million times if you don't have somebody your job your most urgent job is to find anointed appointed leadership and then pray that Abba will lead you to genuinely anointed appointed leadership I'm not claiming I'm the one you must listen to but if you do not have you need to find and it's urgent because you are going to be confused to make bad decisions everything else without that oh well you know what no look stop thinking that somehow this is that I just have to pray the rocks gonna give it to me because that's where all the mess is everybody thinking they're listening to the Ruach that's why we have so much confusion it's not the rocks fault it's you're thinking you're listening to rock when there's other voices in there the biggest one being you your preference is your voice at self voice but that self voice is going to convince you it's the rule so you got to just realize you need somebody that's anointed at a point in other words it's their role it doesn't mean they're great and exalted or something it's just their role look they were anointed appointed that made the tabernacle and did the dyeing of the claws and did the forming of the metals and the smelting and all the other things that people had those gifts you need someone who has a gift and this to answer your confusion stuff some of you need life coaching you need people with that kind of gift which isn't necessarily this stuff specifically but just because you're making life decisions that you don't know what you're doing handling your finances handling your relationships handling whatever careers and stuff life decisions and so we all need mentoring we all need help and that's clearly evident in Scripture but you see that puts you in a place where you need to be vulnerable and you need to find the ability to submit let's be clear again because I think it's worth repeating what the definition of submission is submission is when you're under an authority that you've chosen to be under and that Authority is telling you to do something we're not something that you don't agree now you have an opportunity to submit it doesn't comment - you don't want to and don't agree or you don't like it it's agreement otherwise it's not submission submission doesn't happen until I say if you're with me and I say look you really need to do this and you don't want it when you don't agree well now you got to do it if you're submitting if you don't do it you're not submitting so now you got to decide are you gonna submit to Authority or not by the way this happens with the Creator the Creator says you're not to work on Shabbat but my boss is gonna call me in all right are you gonna submit or not well you're going to submit to one or the other either Yahweh or your boss oh but you understand my cousin's daughters for my best friends whatever my what is getting married on a Saturday I have to go well you can submit to them and submit to him you don't want to do one or the other which one well you can end up doing the one you want don't blame it on the pressure they're putting on you you're gonna do the one you want I want to be here more than you can't tempt me with anything else I don't think there's anything I could possibly rather do than be here see if you rather be at the wedding then there's a problem inside here in your relationship with him your heart your head in him are not in line right to love him above all things with all your heart mind body strength etc means that you would never prefer to be anywhere than where he is so well that's where the confusion so it's a good point Beverly I'm sure they were very confused people there but then those confused people to succeed in getting out of their confusion were to go to the leadership all right that's very important because that's where certainly we can run into those challenges look for those people whose role it is to help you out of confusion by the way so we've experienced this you know what go talk to some of the people who says hey have you tasted of the leadership have they have you gone to them about things I mean there are people here that you could absolutely talk to and say this is my experience okay we got some over this corner here like a four of them right there all right and they're scattered them on the room so you know they are go talk to them any leadership some of you are online watching this and you've gotten congregations you go to a little groups that you can go to whatever well if you're online with me and you're not a congregation with them you already know that you feel a certain way about that leadership don't you find leadership that you can trust and have faith and believe that ABBA put them in that position by the way that doesn't mean you're gonna love them in terms of their personality oh they may rub you the wrong way it's not about personality about role is that are they the person that you're supposed to be learning from and being guided by but it's trust me I know my personality doesn't rub everybody right way but you know what those who get past that they get what they need okay okay and it's not because of me it's because Abba blesses they're using the structure correctly Abba blesses the process that's why we call this the process going forward he's blessing the process it's not that that you have to find a leader that has all the answers and is right about everything he will bless you for doing the process right as long as you vetted the leadership the best you could okay so it's not just the process you can apply to any leader and say well I went to the leadership and did the process yeah but you already knew that leadership was wrong and still halfway and you know Christianity wherever they were and everything else so you know this already is a wrong leadership that your leadership okay find yourself somebody that you need to be under and then hopefully that somebody is part of a structure so it's not just a one-man Celtic show we have a big structure here at mty you know we have over 20-something leaders come to the leadership meetings when we have them once a month okay it's big security and safety and Council of numbers but there's still structure in that group it's not a kumbaya voting system but there's an abundance of counsel all right but the burden of responsibility of decision still comes back to the leader the one who's actually on on that position that role okay Moses had a lot of guys working with him who made all the decisions Moses okay when things got brought to him James made all the decisions didn't anyone for things I brought to him in Jerusalem there was a lot of other guys he looked as a 11 other guys but James making their decisions but he's listening do you notice he listened to everybody first that's one things you want to know about your leadership do they listen to everybody first you can ask the people about how decisions are made in Mt UI everybody gets to say their piece first perfect I won't tell them sometimes what I'm already planning to do or thinking or leaning towards doing because I don't want that to influence them I don't want them to be influenced in their input because they already know where I want to go or what I'm leaning towards and this way I also don't have to change my mind in front of everybody because I might like something better than I hear and it makes more sense and the rock may confirm that for me and I may go in that direction and so it saves that problem who's next okay Kurt yet he's got a mic he's gonna have to like one won't be enough or analyst is on topic today but Tim Barnes wants to know how do I separate the voices in my head from God's voice leadership structure you need someone to help you sort through it and then through doing that over time you'll learn how to do it in other words really it's lining it up with the word but if you're new you don't read the word right so you can't just line it up with the word so how do you do that you're hearing something you think it's leading you in a direction so then you go to your Decipherer your leadership structure and say this is what I'm feeling I'm being told to do help me with this is that sound right to you does that etc okay that's what structure comes and helps you so it's not really off topic it's actually the most recent part of what I was saying so that's good all right Doris Olsen's question is how do how does a wife in an uneven yoke not usurp her husband and follow Torah okay so that needs counsel so that's something the doors you could talk about but basically you have to understand that number one all marriages all are unique all right that's kind of weird to use the word all of them unique all right but all marriages are unique so I can't give a simple you know broad stroke that fits everything however what you have to understand is that you'll have to make some decisions about how you observe what you do because you are under a greater Authority and you're also under your husband so how do you respect your husband so it's not necessarily our usurping if your husband says come with me to Sunday church and keep Christmas and everything that's something you have to respectfully decline to do but that's not usurping because you're not doing what he said so there's gonna be a way to handle that that you have to do it as gently but firm and respectful saying remember it's like honoring mother and father or respecting mother and father some of you are adults with adult parents and they're driving you crazy and they will say to you well if you don't listen to me you're not honoring me no that's nothing they were listening to you it has to do with how I treat you when I listen or don't listen I have to do it respectfully I can respectfully say no or I could say what are you kidding me what's wrong with you bla bla that's very disrespectful so you can respectfully say no so it's not a usurping usurping would be if you started to step into his role I started telling him what he had to do and make him do things that that's a usurping we see a lot of that with the ladies to be careful about usurping but just because you don't want to do what he wants you to do because it's against Torah that's where you have to find a way to respectfully decline and do what you need to do if that doesn't work and it becomes a not workable situation you'll have to decide if I was trying to say this is just not going to work not everybody has with Billie Jean has where her husband's been very respectful of her and allowing her to do these things without too much hassle some people are never going to get there and those marriages are probably not going to make it I'm not here to say which is which you have to make your choice but you have to put Torah observance above everything it says you must love less by comparison that includes husbands wives children everything remember what I said there and family we read that okay you must put them second and that's move you have to very gently kindly meekly lovingly say I know this is what you want I understand is how you feel but I have to walk out my own salvation in fear and trembling I have to keep Shabbat I have to not eat pork I'm certain whatever else did yeah this is the thing okay and that may cause people to split and lose we don't want that nobody wants that so that's why individually he's half the council because I don't know how he's acting towards you right this men and what the issue is that you think may be considered usurping Billy gene has a lot of stories you can share no but here's the thing though listen this is important this is I'm really glad this was brought up because now it gives me at this point I can make just because someone accuses or label something doesn't mean it is well if they say what you just did was unloving that's the way they felt about it doesn't mean it was unloving if know my my husband my wife my parents my mother might whatever said this this and this and said I did well that's not true just because they said it or your Christian friends that are all telling you you're going to hell and this and that and you're not in the faith and blah blah blah well just because they say it doesn't make it true you don't have to own it you don't have to receive it you have to receive this stuff at Sinai in the Upper Room you don't have to receive it just cuz they put a label on it threw it at you and put you under the label okay stop letting people do that to you and don't do it to other people alright don't do that but that's the thing is that you could have a husband like Doris was saying who could say you're usurping why because I told you to come with me to church you didn't come that's not a usurping situation she's not submitting to him he wants you to go she didn't want to go but she can also say I know I'm not submitting to you because I'm trying to submit to him alright and so do you understand okay so let's I used to use this image I gotta remember how we used to use it with the umbrella okay so you're in the rain okay you're in the rain and Abba is the umbrella okay we got an umbrella so he's dry you follow him you do what he says you're dry and as long as your husband is allowing you to stay under the umbrella you follow and do everything properly in that relationship okay if you're starting to get wet following your husband you got a problem so you got to figure that out following ABBA you're dry you can have both ideally that's always supposed to be you should be following him and he should be under the father and everybody's vertically set when everybody's vertically said everybody stays dry okay but when the leadership is gonna pull you in a left or a right and off the path you're gonna start to get wet so as long as you dry submit to your husband the best you can enjoy that relationship stay in your roles etc but if all of a sudden the decision is going to cause you to get soaking wet that's when you have to find a way to respectfully say I'm not I'm not wanting to get wet here okay I need to stay under the covering and learning how to do that is what you get that's what you call me you call your covering you call your leadership and ask for counsel does that answer ever good everybody on that one all right guy Kurt all right Steven waffles question should we be concerned with perfection our steps forward and how much allowances are given moving forward say one more time they should we be concerned with perfection and our steps moving forward and how much allowances are giving moving forward the word was perfection in there what was that word okay yeah perfection okay do you want to do with all your might we do not have an expectation of perfection well our goal is perfection in other words that's what we're striving towards right strive to enter through the narrow gate we talked about that in the teaching yesterday which is already saved part seven right but the idea here is Deuteronomy 8 - okay let me just read that to you just so we haven't see that Bob I'm reading a verse okay of course I could just quote it but we're gonna read it anyway so I could say we turn to a verse in red all right look it says because this kind of works into this teaching he said look verse one he says guard to do every command which I command you today so that you might live that's the whole point and increase and go in and shall possess the land it says looking you're gonna remember the journey you were on that Yahweh led you all these 40 years in the wilderness to Humble you to prove to know what is in your heart whether you will guard his commands or not that's the process you're walking through a wilderness and the process you're going to be humbled and if you're not you're not going to finish this process right and then you're going to demonstrate that your heart has the integrity to want to keep the commandments now you are not going to do it perfectly but you will have to demonstrate that you want to in other words that when you're when you will fall short you're disappointed and you repent full heartedly and you get yourself back up and get back on the path and you strive again to be perfect but the expectation is not that you'll ever get there but that you're going to put in the effort that's the process and that process includes the idea of teshuva turning around getting back on the path fully which includes repentance all those teachings that are connected to this forgiveness all of these things are connected to the process okay so going forward you're simply looking to try to put one step in front of the other keep moving forward so you can keep transforming into his image he'll take a few steps backwards few steps sideways get back on this path and get back forward all right Steve hopefully that answers waffels question okay what else okay so I'm Leanne it's a two-part question first was why does the emphasis on Chavo seem to be law on the law instead of on the making of the first covenant and the tour as a as the terms of that government then part 2 similarly with the Upper Room Pentecost event be the fulfillment of making of the making of the renewed covenant with the rock being given and received as Messiah promised prior to his crucifixion okay I'm not really sure I understand the first question I understand the second one so I'm not sure what she meant by the Sinai why's about Tara not about covetable Torah was the Covenant okay the whole covenant was that this is what you're going to do you were the Covenant was you gonna do what I say and this is what he said he said keep Torah so the the whole chaperone event is to celebrate the Covenant now I chose to talk about it from the point of view of what their attitudes and thought processes and what things would have been sitting there at that moment coming into covenant now when they covenant it we couldn't covered that real quickly and saying they were just excited to go ahead and go forward with something even though they were afraid they did know what was gonna look like because after all they just gone through this unbelievable experience sever like yeah whatever he says we'll do it you know I mean what else are you gonna say at that moment but it wasn't necessarily coming out of their heart out of the desire they were probably scared you know what lists okay I mean they were just I'm just being serious I mean after all they just saw what he just did the Pharaoh and the army and everything and what he did to Egypt with the plagues and they still see the fire and the cloud and all those things they were scared they're like yeah whatever he says we'll do it all right of course a lot of us did that way it's almost like the altar call think of that as like the the first-ever altar call that got hyped up they got up there and probably had no idea what they were really committing to I mean really think about it not that there's supposed to be an altar call I'm saying but that was kind of the same emotional set there somebody got all stirred up thought it was for the right thing to do thought they were supposed to do it and had no idea what they just did anybody know what I'm talking about with the altar calls and how people get all hyped up and do these things and they have no idea and how do I know that because I was at a concert this was a Christian Christian singing can embrace and concert where they said all the youth leaders come into the back of the stage here and was in the middle of the concert they took a break and so I went back there I wasn't a youth leader but I said where you going I said I wonder what they're doing so you're not a youth leader I'm like so what just went anyway so I went in the back and they said we're about to do an altar call and most of these kids is because we were the oldest people there in our 30s least of all these kids there and there's the most of these kids are gonna have no idea what they just did so we're gonna after they do we're gonna steer them in your direction in the corners of the room and then you could take them and cult Afiya min a doctrine ate them whatever else was expected to be done okay but they admitted right there that these people were gonna do something that they had no idea what it was that we're doing and I wanted to go excuse me then what's the point what is the point to get them to do something they have no idea what it is in terms of the ramifications and understanding what it was they just got made a commitment to or whatever they were doing it was insanity of course I scared my wife because I came back told what was going on and she saw me there with my head down to us what's going on I go I got to stop this she goes she's praying please let him not do anything because I was going to stand up and say this has got to stop and we've got arrested and thrown out and all things you know so so I didn't say anything I was sitting there pretty much crying though I was I was really sad I was just like these you know this is one of those things where we hadn't fully come out of her my people we used to like some of these bands we no longer listen to that kind of music anymore there was a big concert in town Julie asked me to go I thought a okay we'll go on one last time hated almost all of it even though we do the song stuff it was all the J name and everything else going on we use didn't know what we were doing there because we were we'd already come out of all that but it was there so I could see that event it was there for me to see this whole altar call thing and that was a big emotional moment for me and I really almost stood up and had a Jeremiah moment and said hey this you're offering these children to Molech I really did I almost got up to do that but the Ruach said no no it's just sit down it's not time for that now okay but learn the lesson never do this again which we never did okay that was many many many many many years ago but just you understand I know that they know that these people don't know what they're doing I know that probably a sign I was the same thing they did it because they didn't know what he hadn't said anything yet they're just agreeing in advance to do everything he said he hadn't said anything yeah so they had no idea what they were getting into what they did know hopefully is who they were getting into it with okay that's the key second part of the question had to do with the renewed covenant being what took place in Acts chapter 2 absolutely not I'll explain why go to Jeremiah 31 there you go Bob more verses Jeremiah 31 but those who are listening or online everything I Bob's my best friend so I'm just teasing him it's okay he he knows where it's coming from alright Jeremiah 31 and verse 33 now 31 it's hard there see the days are coming to Claire's Yahweh when I shall make a new or renewed covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah okay first of all this says nothing about Gentiles or Christians so you can't be a renewed covenant Christian Church and claim this okay because they're all claim it comes back to Jeremiah 31 and that says it's gonna be with Israel and Judah now listen he does not like the Covenant I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt and I'm it's Ryan my covenant which they broke I didn't break any but my covenant which they broke though I was a husband to them declares y'all way for this is the covenant shall make with the house of Israel after those days it says Yahweh I shall put my Torah in their inward parts and write it on their hearts and I shall be their Elohim and they shall be my people well there you go Acts chapter 2 fulfilled what wait there's more verses and no longer shall they teach each one is neighbor and each one his brother saying no Yahweh for they shall all know me from the least of them to the greatest of them declares Yahweh for I shall forgive their crookedness and remember their sin no more has that happened yet no okay so you can't stop in the middle of a little speech here this little message here doesn't stop at verse 33 he's not finished talking he's still continuing it's not like even pauses he's just continuing now bear in mind there's another piece here to verse 33 he no longer mentions Yehuda because at this point the two sticks have come back together so we're still not talking about Acts chapter 2 the two sticks have not come back together in Acts chapter 2 we're still dealing just with Yehuda well Judah okay so he says for this is a covenant I shall make with the house of Israel after those days why because we know that Scripture is here a little there a little line upon line precept upon precept so we know about Ezekiel 37 and so when those two sticks come together now we just call them yes rayel the previous covenant was with what became Judah and Israel the two houses split from that of the one see we believe in the two houses but not believing that's supposed to be we believe that they exist and is supposed to be put back together alright so we don't believe in see a lot of the two house people out they believe they're supposed to be two houses sort of the Jews say the Jews and the Gentiles say the Gentiles are somehow that's your two houses no Jude is one in Israel's one or Jude in a frien for crimes or often called for Israel that's your two sticks now you are part of the companions if you're not part of Judah or Israel by birth because in the two sticks it says and their companions those that would join and graft into the groups but verse 33 tells us the Covenant that's going to be made is not going to be a two-house covenant it's going to be a one house coveted okay and so they're gonna be back to one now the original covenant by the way was made with what one they split later under Solomon going forward after he died in his children right we had to split okay she had Jeroboam and Rehoboam so that we have this split and then of course we know when that split he always says don't go try to fix this this split is of me it serves my purposes okay that's part of the identity teaching so go look on discovering your identity and it's a multi-part teaching that'll help you with that I want six seven parts okay so hopefully that answers a question that Acts chapter two was not the fulfillment of Jeremiah 31 all right angelic Ewing wants to know if you're new do we if you are new can we to partake in Schiavo benefits or we just observing what makes me able to be a part of this okay in Scripture first of all go listen to when you get a chance the appointed times teaching out of as part of the CC 101 series the appointed times of Yahweh but understand that everyone can come and celebrate and observe and learn and any of the feasts except Passover they can for unleavened bread shallow trumpets atonement su coche meeting etc etc but Passover that meal that one event is only for those that are already already ready to commit they've already made the commitment and so if you're new you can come to Sabbath you can come to feast you can come to everything and observe and learn and then taste of it it decide hey maybe this is for me we call you a Gare that's a ger the transliteration or you know as we try to put it and the Gare would be the proselyte the one who's saying hmm this might be where I'm supposed to be I'm gonna check this out now while checking it out you're expected to behave just like those that are already in so you're expected to behave appropriately if you're at a Sabbath if you're out of feast if you're doing these things okay and that's all in verses that we have as part of those teachings where it's expected that there's one law for both all right anything else all right se gonna ask I understand how we get complacent in our blessings but early you said we can get from complacent or suffering please give me an example I can't quite grasp it okay and actually my brain just went there's something else for the previous point I want to make before we go on to this one all right everybody is welcome when you're new but here's what I want you to do when you're new don't forget that you're new so what should a new person do listen and be quiet we get new people come in and right away they want to start talking talking talking they don't know what they don't know so be careful with that you need to be quiet - you start to realize how much you know some of you've been doing this three four or five years and you're only starting now to realize what you don't know because there's layers and layers of what you don't know right and so if you're new mouth closed ears and eyes open only open it to ask questions don't be answering people's questions and putting input in sharing and teaching and instructing when you're new because you don't know yet what you don't know you know what whole bunch of things you think you know only you're gonna find out later some of that is completely upside-down and backwards because you didn't know and it's going to be often in areas that you were absolutely sure you knew and you still were wrong so let's be careful with that okay go back to the question now about complacency and suffering okay I understand some question you have to go back to it all right the point being this I know that we can get complacent when things are good and we get comfortable okay but when we're suffering we can also get comfortable in our suffering because the alternative is more in our minds painful potentially to step out of that and potentially do something different what if it's worse I'm I mean I've been doing the suffering thing for so long I mean it's suffering that I kind of I'm used to it I've already got to a place where I'm handling it okay it's not see that's why Abha says if you don't listen I'm going to punish you seven times if you stillness I'm going to turn that up even harder punish you another seven times in other words keep increasing the pain level until you finally decide enough is enough I'm going to go do this thing right so if the pain level is not high enough and you're in a pattern of suffering and existing with that level of pain for a period of time you could get comfortable in that pain okay does that answer the question probably okay oh the live sheep stopped well no no just no more questions okay no more questions okay so I mean just understand that we the worst thing that can happen to you that you get comfortable okay striving like he told us to do in the verse that we read in Luke he says strive to enter through the narrow gate striving is not something that happens when you're sitting back comfortable alright if you're striving to get your finances right your finances will get right if you're comfortable enough where that's the level of suffering you're doing financially you're never gonna get it right there's not enough pain yet sometimes I bow you someone people say I don't know why because the pain level has to keep going up until you get up and do something so stop whining about it if it's if the levels finally high enough do something about it but I'm gonna sit there cry worried about it alright wanna not bothering me it's your pain I'll give you some guidance do what it don't do it but then what happens is they come to me they're still whining six months later did you do what I asked you to do nope why not all right well you're not enough painting it go suffer some more you know what it counts with me I know Wow is that what he says when he counsel I don't treat people that way actually I do sometimes okay I'm sorry I'm getting it from here yeah you do however watch the head not to but did you deserve it and was it what you needed okay see so just so you know okay because at some point you need someone to say knock it off stop it okay to stop it okay somebody has to do that to you say enough why you asking me for help if you're not going to do it okay I mean you know I mean if I give you guidance it's because I have already in my mind take it on full responsibility for the actions and results of that decision and so I took it seriously to give you the counsel now if you're not gonna take the counsel why are you wasting my time I don't do opinion polls people will call me oh well rabbi this is a situation what do you think I don't tell you what I think I'll tell you what I think you should do or I hope you figure out what you need to do most of time by the way it's not me telling you what to do it's me trying to help you see what you now know I know you probably already knew you need to do so sometimes this means it's going come on you know what to do you just don't want to do it this isn't rocket science I mean it's not like you need to have an advanced degree in Torah understand you know that when your boss says come in Saturday you don't go I mean but some people still struggle our lives and do it right now and make it a part of who we are so that we can continue to transform into the image of Yeshua father as we dismiss we ask that you would keep all of us safe as we journey back to our homes bring us back together on Shabbat and help us to continue this journey now to the to yomet wha the day of trumpets where we can then experience the next of your feasts so
