lol, i think ollie helped gabie once in a few vids but still almost as chaotic. but i can see this as a fun practice with juno when she gets a bit older if ollie's a bit more careful/less chaotic off screen and such so she doesn't pick up his bad habits

hi i'm josh i'm ollie and today we have the ultimate jolly cook-off we will finally find out if i can beat josh at anything okay is there just one thing i can beat him up a lot of you've been asking for a cook-off between us for a long time we have been putting it off because we're just really bad at cooking but thankfully today we've got the help of hellofresh sponsoring this episode shout out herb sea bass with bulgar oh what the hell chocolate courgettes yeah and herbie dressing herbie dressing sounds like a retiree very good at bingo which is surprising because it's literally all luck hello fresh they make cooking really easy so i feel like even i struggle to follow ikea instructions and there's no words spoiler alert next round we're only gonna see the image we're not gonna get any steps final round we're just to get the ingredients and we have to see who is going to make the best food start off we're starting easy and we're not helping each other here we're competing yeah okay so here you go there's your one all right and this is mine wait i'm 25. he's 28. do you have a different recipe you just said we're not helping each other i mean part of what i find difficult with cooking is finding like the right amounts of every single ingredient is shopping shopping is the hardest thing about cooking isn't it mr z trim the courgette into one centimeter round dear lord this is terrifying drizzle oil in a medium saucepan on medium heat beautiful go go go go go pour in the water for the burger wheat 240 mil a coke is 330 so you want two thirds of a can of coke that's glorious bit of fish oh there's two bits of fish in there oh that is lovely that's double is it that's half a liter oh you're right oh my god this is 240. that's good no it's impossible wait that's 240. it's a quarter litre oh my god that is wow okay i'm gonna bring that to the boil and simmer for one step in here oh look at that color changing that is lovely oh that's boiled up yeah that's worrying oh no that shouldn't be on that shouldn't be on i didn't turn that u-turn that on mr z turned that on and now it's dried out for 12 to 15 minutes i put it on for two minutes i was leaving it two minutes you turned it off look it's all dried out it was perfect uh right i need to make the dressing olive oil squeeze the juice of half a lemon oh crap whoa stop flipping throwing stuff have you guys started cooking your siblings not yet i'm doing now chef what's up how do you flip oh do you have chopsticks ollie i need chopsticks this is how you flip courgettes these courgettes look lovely what was that all right courgettes are coming along nicely i'm sweating it gets hot in the kitchen uh what do i do with them your key ingredients do not want to burn your key ingredients is that bud okay i'm ready for plating chef five minutes left [Music] stir through the tomatoes and the remaining parsley taste and season with salt pepper and more lemon juice if needed i've got this guy got this right come on josh let's go let's go let's go excellent oh chef ready for service this looks good wow it does look good doesn't it oh that looks like my skin fell off oh no oh no my fill it's falling apart maybe i'm not supposed to use no easier way of flipping than with chopsticks apparently not with fish set a two minute timer two minutes mine's going to be cold 25 seconds lovely okay we're almost running almost done play that nicely there lovely sticking on very eight seven six i totally forgot about my dressing until you said drizzle on my channel okay excellent so votes is going to be in five points okay okay so presentation five points okay yeah three out of five two out of five texture that is harsh three or five three out of five okay make sure you try the burger with the tomato yeah make sure you get some you know herbs fluffy cooked fairly flavorful those were all positive words slightly less cooked but better flavor oh a bit too salty okay okay not bad three and two again then crochet yes [Music] roll no roll perfect five three three you spat it out he gives a three because he's not completely raw but he's on the road fish okay flavor is very good okay fish is very well done fish is overcooked but flavor is better [Music] wow okay so it's four and four then the final boat of course yes they hold these together all together is blonde okay my textures work my side the seasoning maybe a little lacking in the discipline but flavor it tastes lemony juicy fresh you know not over flavor better flavor about worse textures okay wow oh man this is an emotional roller coaster three three it's a tie it's a tie wow okay wow this is where the real challenge begins it's hotting because we know what we're supposed to be making blue cheese cauliflower mac and cheese that is how many steps is needed we don't get to see this all right can i if i hold it up to the light can i see through how do you do a cheese sauce you know what i mean easy don't tell him because i know this take about i would say 18 minutes you are killing 10 minutes i'm giving you that guys tips no i don't need tips you're just helping him at this point he's missed a pedantic stick by the rules he's lost now you've got to go with instinct baby character flavor 25 minutes from now okay that's awesome i need a uh all right that's going in there salt me guys a little hint you will need flour for this recipe don't tell him this stuff he's got no idea oh did you put the pasta with the cold water yeah oh my god yes oh my lead on to speed up the boil oh yeah that's that's actually a good uh hack there it's not a house that is just cooking so ollie what's the trick for a good cheese sauce uh melt it slowly and add things to it that josh doesn't know excellent i definitely should have bloody grated this cheese dad garment i reckon you just pour it out onto a plate microwave then grate it again microwave no no no wait a sec cheese sauce i didn't even know you needed a cheese sauce for mac and cheese why am i boiling this half and then half the pasta lovely can you stop giving him tips i honestly had no idea idea he would be lost that's why i'm trying [Music] water whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa just bloody take the lid off do you ever cut have you ever cooked what part of i don't cook did you not understand i don't cook but i know what to do when a pan is boiling over [Music] sorry rue is the first step to the cheese sauce when do you put the flour in first i've never made cheese sauce damn it i put in the cheese first what's inside what's inside there this is not all right you know what that's mine is it finished what is happening what just happened what are you doing give me some coffee i've never felt so out of my depth is there pasta cooked uh no so you need to cook it it's going to cook in the pan as well in with the heat it's not roasted daddy all right okay but then i've got to bring it to the boil again precisely oh see mr i know what i'm doing have you ever cooked before i know how to take a lid off when something's boiling do you want to see how my cheese sauce is going i'm gonna see how mine's going oh wow yours just looks like melted cheese yeah once this is done do you just leave it and it will survive i don't know okay well i because my stuff isn't dutch lied shall i just cook it stop asking for advice it's gonna be wrong go for it you got it i've got an idea you're not gonna like it but just trust me can you do it faster in the microwave let me do it wait i should put water in there look at this bit of this yeah a little bit longer what are you doing that's good thinking though good thinking i don't know where my blue cheese is gone where is my blue cheese i think i lost my blue cheese where's the drain where is it did i put it in the fridge he hid it did he hide it did you like my blue cheese i did find it there but i didn't put it there remember that it's super important what the cheese is through is it like a sauce are you speaking english or is this another cooking word a sauce through got it that's fine through no it's okay when i use the oven the cheese sauce is gonna heat up and it's gonna melt oh what are you doing it's really hot don't burn yourself okay oh my gosh that doesn't look right you know what screw spinach who needs spinach why don't you mix it all together before putting it in the shape in going on guys uh you know just what are you doing lamb lamb i am going to go with a with a garlic butter fried potatoes with a lamb tomato red vinegar and cinnamon sauce topped with feta cheese and chicken stock yeah i actually have an idea for this lamb you know how like the japanese do hamburg steaks i could do like a lamborgh steak lamberg no noah okay i should have made chips from the potatoes it's not too late it's not too late it's probably too late i could do potato wedges everyone loves potato wedges they're losing time josh new rule popped in right you guys both have a jolly if you want to use the jolly i'll come into play you can ask me anything i have question what is the real recipe that's not a light can i have some salt please that's his question he's used it he's massive meatballs meatballs that's what those are i think this is ready ladies and gentlemen t stage three remember yeah [Music] it's not bad okay that's not bad ah see that is exactly what i did not want to do i hate i hate tomato based minced meat dishes so josh where are you going for lamberg steaks okay cinnamon potato wedges and a fresh feta and pea shoot salad what do you reckon he shoots raw or roasted more talking to myself than anyone else remember ladies and gentlemen this round is two points who wins this round wins the game okay so the oven is taking way down too long oh no that's hot five minutes left it smells so bad can you eat this [Music] kind of but that's good this is going to be some seriously well cooked lamb how long till service chef three minutes clean it up feta is best when crumbled yeah look at that crumbled feta oh it smells like red wine that doesn't smell right for a salad you know what honey i honestly don't know if i can serve these potatoes 60 seconds i'm going to get the better on i've got to get the feta on wait remember to use all the ingredients is that implying that i haven't used all of these three bowls [Music] excellent minus two points for missing out the p shoots dammit no wait it was washed it was washed no that is [Music] mine looks like someone's your potato salad are you proud of your dish i am proud of how it will taste okay are you proud of your dish i did earlier say that confidence was everything i feel a bit sick to be honest when i look at it the similarity challenge greek inspired lamb ragu with potatoes so this gets yeah a six okay that if i'd included the salad it would have been the dessert the lamb chopped are the tomatoes chopped up in the salad that was obvious salad with tomatoes uh three because of the leaves on the side and the potato salad is there they both look two out of five two out of five potatoes four potatoes one and a half yeah yeah fair enough next the lamb do we dip it uh entirely up to chef's choice pasata always has to be cooked wow then i wouldn't dip it what are you dipping it for that was your fault not mine i said it's your choice i agree it does not it does not taste bad you should have tried it with the garlic have a bit of garlic as well no no no good chocolate lamb it's you're missing out on the main flavor lamb beets 4.505 wow whoa lamb we have a winner we have a winner wow well done well done now josh can finally know what it feels like to come second in a cooking competition so him and his wife have something in common excellent excellent this is
