you've never done this before this is spiritual it's scriptural the bible says to worship him in psalms hymns and spiritual songs souls we're going to stop right here the spirit of the lord is trying to bring something into this place he's trying to bring some healing into this place there's some folks here with cancer that the lord needs to heal there's some deliverances the lord wants to bring some of you who don't know jesus christ you've never experienced anything like this but you feel something right now and you know what you feel your father you feel the heavenly father dealing with your spirit we worship you lord we worship you lord [Music] yes lord [Music] yes lord save me [Music] yes everybody yes lord [Music] so [Music] he has fire in his eyes and a sword in his hand he's riding a white horse across this lane he has fire in his eyes and the sword in his hand is riding a white horse all across this land [Music] he's calling down to you and me you ride with me i'm going to go right on with this [Music] tuesday night we were in a service and charity began to sing we were making our way to the stage we were outside the auditorium pastor we were making our way to the stage and as she's saying come running come running come running we felt not physically but spiritually the suction there was like an invisible suction pulling into the altar i know the lord jesus my heart's right with him but i wanted to it was everything i could do to walk to that stage and the lord spoke to my heart he said this i'm going across this world and i am pulling the hearts of men [Music] [Applause] you watch watch what i'm saying we're going to see god begin to show up in places he's never shown up before and i believe that we're going to start seeing people begin to come to us and say what is this that i feel why is it that i can't stop crying what do i feel what's wrong with me and i don't think witnessing is going to be like it used to be i think it's going to be more or less answering the questions of what is this that's got a hold of me that i can't stop whether steve is going to come in a few minutes he's going to give us a sermon and he's going to give an altar call as i look across this audience right now i see hundreds of you you already feel that pull you already feel and when he gives that all the call charity begins to sing god's gonna save you and set you free he's gonna set you free from some of those habits that have had you bound and some perversions that have held you entrenched for years but god is going across this earth he's saying will you ride will you ride but the pool is getting stronger toward the lord and stronger because he has fire in his eyes and there's a sword in his hand he's riding a white horse all across this land and he's going to be awesome this week because tuesday night the ones that got left out we had uh we had a prayer meeting how many were here was that a prayer meeting huh we touched the heart of god and so i knew it was going to be powerful this week it always is and i want to take just a moment here to talk to you about about the things that i feel that are important to us also in worship and that's our giving god bless you you can be seated for a little while it's so good to have have linda back we had a good time last night you're going to have to watch it man that youth group is powerful too man they are powerful how about it amen amen amen steve's going to have to get caught in bad weather every once in a while let michael brown preach had an awesome altar call last night it was just awesome god is so good isn't he huh it's neat it's neat when we look at what god will do not through personalities but individuals that are dedicated to god and you know one of the things and i think about this often because i've heard steve preach on it so many times we've driven and we used to be on the road but we're not on the road much anymore uh like some other evangelists here that just don't get out on the road but one of the things that that used to to impress me was coming through dallas in the early morning hours we've been through dallas so many times going through the early morning hours and all of the they have one particular tall green building i don't know what the name of it is but it has has neon lights on outlining that building always lit up and it's some kind of a financial center isn't it interesting that men get up early in the morning get a get a jump on the world to find out where they can the word of god says the moth and some kind of a financial for the very first time can we see your hand very first time wow good gracious how many of you are here and uh this is your first week at revival let me see your hand first week where do you folks keep coming from north carolina all right all right i digested every one of those how many of you are from the south [Applause] how many is from the north [Applause] east need to work on the east about the west yeah how many of you are outside the united states can i see your hand wow look at that wow praise god i wonder uh how many pastors do we have here tonight could see your hands how many men of god wow look at that would you do we uh i think it'd be good i don't need no more than three but i need three pastors real quick that god has really touched your heart touched your life and he's touching your church moving in a mighty way if you've got a powerful testimony that's relevant to the revival we want to hear from you so we're going to give you just a few moments to think about it but if god's done something really powerful in your church or in your life or your ministry relevant to the revival we want to hear from you we need about three so if you'll hold your hands up i'll uh gaze over the congregation here there's one right there here's one here and there's one back there was there four well come on up we'll take four you can be seated god bless y'all close them doors back there brother i never have like to preach an open door church now i didn't mean open door denomination you know what i mean come on folks i don't like to preach where the doors rope i always feel like them centers are going to run out of there come on up guys you all having a good time getting it exciting is isn't it exciting what god's doing in the land today friend church has never been so exciting i've never seen a day where people are so thrilled and excited about going to church and about what god's doing some of these pastors are having an outbreak and a move of the lord in their ministries and their churches tell us where you where you from what your name is and what's going on i'm larry wiley i pastor the thompson church of god in thompson georgia that's near augusta you guys gonna be there next month yeah church of god okay what's going on what happened well we saw you and steve came to cleveland tennessee in a meeting with the pastors there and there was a mighty anointing in the place and we went home and i pastored that church for three years and i've been so burdened for revival it's just been great people but just quite frankly a dead church and the power of god has been moving there in the last three months and when we go home from here the glory is going to fall in a more powerful way than we've ever experienced before so talk take just a minute and talk to the pastors out there that feels like they have a dead church and tell them that there's hope there's definitely hope we went to cleveland uh another pastor friend of mine who was one of the greatest evangelists i've ever known who is now pastoring his pastor in calhoun georgia he has a church of about 300 people and since he's come from that meeting there's been 75 people saved in his church they've increased almost 100 in attendance they're having service on sunday morning sunday night wednesday and friday night and they can't seek the people they've already included in and build a balcony on and it's already filled over and if you want more of god god wants more of you thank you thank you i remember i love the church of god matter of fact the day i was called to preach as a church god woman there at my mother's door that day to confirm my call but when we went up to cleveland without praying i forget what service it was maybe as the last service was there but there was a former superintendent of this of the church of god had been down praying that morning you know just hungry for god wanting more god he said he was just down on his face praying he just had so many questions you know about different things and he said he quit praying lifted up his face he said where is the lord god of elijah and i remember that morning as we were praying steve and i i worked my way back out in the foyer and that's something i very seldom ever do when we're praying for people you know just moving through there praying i didn't know this man from adam i didn't know who he was i don't know anything about the general superintendents of the church of god except brother ray hughes and i know brother walker but this man i didn't know him and as i was praying back there uh he had a bag in his hand where he bought something at the tape desk he was walking out the door and i walked right up to him and i said where is the lord god of elijah and friend i'm telling you look like a lightning bolt struck him he hit the floor how many of you knows god knows where we are hi yes sarah what's your name and tell us where you're from uh my name is norman crookshank and i'm an associate pastor at mount pair in church of god in atlanta wow you're uh you're what now associate pastor at mount perin church of god in atlanta apparent church of god well god bless you tell us what's going on how much time do we have oh we came our first trip was in october and i was so hungry for god how many of you pastors out there know what i mean and i was actually coming to check it out you know the pastoral visit well i got a pastoral visit brother but it wasn't me visiting y'all it was god visiting me and i tell you i came down and i repented brother at that altar right there there was so much past hiding it all and god just washed it in the second night he filled me and i want to tell you what for the first time in a lie my life i got up with jesus on my lips i went to sleep with jesus on my lips he would wake me up in the middle of the night to pray and there's nothing like it i'm telling you we began praying the first night we got back wednesday night god led me to pray to lead the youth service and i got up and i shared my testimony and we were in church until 11 30 that night laying hands on kids and i'm telling you children small children being filled with the power of god and falling out under the spirit youth 30 40 kids parents begin coming in they wanted to get a touch from the lord and it began to spread and it was kind of like a going through the church did you hear about what happened on wednesday night and i want to tell you something the holy ghost showed up we began laying hands on children we've seen uh children heal there's a child here tonight god healed him he was three quarters blind and one eye we laid hands on him and he said he called me back one night he said pastor norman when you laid your hands on me it felt like electricity shot through my body and right into my eye and i got in the car and i was driving home and god healed both of my eyes i can see perfectly and praise god hallelujah what's going on in the church what's going on in the church of god brother he's shaking it he is shaking it brother how many how many church of god folks we've got here tonight hold your hand i got a feeling about the church god i believe god's fixing to do something powerful and special in church of god i believe you take that to the bank so mount parents having a move huh we're seeing it we're seeing trickles we're seeing trickles we're so excited we've begun to pray and the lord's beginning to birth in us that spirit of intercession and we're meeting on friday night we've met twice now and we're having we're having brownsville in atlanta in the gymnasium brother and he is coming down in power and we're praying and we're interceding for atlanta and this is not just a mount pairing we're praying for the city and god's expanded our vision to the city of atlanta and god is sending revival to atlanta amen praise god hallelujah bless you pastor commander yes sir what's your name and tell us where you're from my name is dennis petro i'm from um lincoln to north carolina and our church is a new life christian fellowship and we've been in revival for about three months now and it's been uh just amazing what god has been doing with us we we've been praying for over two and a half years up in the court square in our city for revival and we've been trying to draw all the pastors in the city together to come in one according to the name of jesus and it's been a struggle a lot of them fighting us on it all the way around some of us really put us down but we kept praying we get praying and now we're praying we with several groups um we're nondenominational but i've been praying with a whole lot of the nominational pastors now coming together in prayer a couple of times a week and god's just seeking god and all of a sudden we see an outpouring happening and what happened is one of our pastors from that group come down here and back in october brought back a video of amy and uh and so yeah so we i watched it at home i figured i'm gonna watch this at home before i take it over show it to church i've spent three hours on the floor weeping before god and he took me and showed me a place he wanted me to be and he spoke to me audibly and i just had an awesome time with god that afternoon i said i'm going to church tonight i'm going to show this to them let's see what happens i had the video on when she said she got hot that the people began to well in the church and i said go ahead and they just let go and just ran to the older weekend before god and we've been in revival and god's been just touching and ministering and it just been an awesome time of jesus hallelujah just before we came down uh we decided we were going to try to see if we could have a group and one of the churches that was big enough to hold the other churches to come together we said we'll go i told our people we're we're let's talk it hasn't happened it doesn't have to have come through our church wherever it's coming through that's where we want to be you know it isn't it it doesn't have to come to your church if it's in your town get in it if it's in your town get in it and and i just thought of one pastor i said you got a church big enough to hold all of us let's get together and do something let's just let's just see what happens and we did and it happened and people were everybody in that church there was like you know 600 people at church just laid out in jesus christ all over the place getting back up and getting laid out again you just walked by and we would me and me and that pastor and evangelist who were there we were just going on we were exhausted just from just people just wanting to be prayed over and prayed over and just god just striking him and men was trying before we just came down here we had a prayer revival we've been in prayer all week long every night praying and we prayed on sunday that god would fill up our church with sinners so he said lord fill this place up with sinners and when i prayed over the offering i said lord i says i said we're going to need more money to be able to move on sunday morning you know you come in and you pray that where you kind of say well you know we're so used to just the same people coming all the time the church filled up with people we did not know it filled with people we did not know [Applause] and then and and then my after after service was over my clerk come to me weeping i said what's the matter she said we've got the biggest offering we've ever had paid all the church meals for the month in one week i said praise the name of jesus hallelujah and all we did now we said well i just said guys we got to go down and see it for ourselves we've seen it on video we've seen all these things going on and now we know what god's doing with us so we had to come and see and i'll tell you what when you stand in line to get into church praise the name of jesus hallelujah hallelujah so where where is the city you pastor lincoln than north carolina where's that near near charlotte or west of charlotte about 20 minutes or so so the denominational pastors and all of them's getting together now for and they're believing for a move i'll tell you what i i also i teach at a uh at a southern baptist college come in there i'm excited and there's only one that i know of now that's in that minister that's in there that teaches that's a professor in the college that's not spirit filled and given the glory to god amen [Applause] you go back up and let them babies have it brother amen hi what's your name where are you from vernon willis i'm from hope arkansas pastor first assembly of god there hope arkansas i've heard of that place yes sir many people have don't hold it against me though no [Applause] matter of fact we're praying for our president we love him we're praying for him we really are we're believing god's going to invade the white house you know we really are we're praying we're praying for two people in particular we started last sunday we're praying for the president and the first lady because uh you know the lord the lord has raised him up to be there in the white house said he raises up and he pulls down and i believe the man really in a deep in his heart has a place for god there and you know folks let's just face it i'm not a bill clinton fan you know i love him and i pray for him as our president i'm not a fan but uh you know we're all human beings and we all come from different backgrounds but i believe the man has a heart and even billy graham says he does and i believe billy graham knows him pretty good and i believe that god in these last four years with a man not face an election again he might just let the holy spirit in the white house i'm believing god for it and the other person the other person we're believing god for is madonna she just got through making that movie of vita you know down in argentina and i believe somehow since she's had that baby god's touched her heart and you even read in the paper i think on tuesday where it said that she wanted her baby to know the bible she said you know she made a snide remark about the bible but at least she said she wants her baby to learn the bible something's going on friend let me tell you something else something's going on all over this world and i'll tell you what the holy ghost thing will leave nobody out friend let me tell you something when the spirit of god begins to move you may think he's just blessing you but when the tide comes in it lifts all boats amen when the holy ghost begins to rise it touches saint and center it may start off as a revival but it's going into an awakening amen well i better shut my mouth i'll get to preaching what's going on brother hope arkansas yes sir we came here my wife and i uh in september now i pastor a smaller church it runs about 155 last sunday and we we came down here in september our church has a rich history in the assemblies of god we're 64 year old church bert webb and james hamill both long time assemblers of god people who are with the lord now both have pastored that church and the church has a tremendous history in our town i have people in my church that are members and have been since its inception and uh so we came down here in september and to be quite honest i had come to the place where i had decided to just go ahead and give up i i had battled i wanted revival i had preached i had tried the church loves god good people but basically what it got down to was preach go eat go to the house preach go eat go to the house preach go eat go to the house that's how we get well-rounded ministries in the assemblies of god if it's like that and hope it's like that everywhere brother when god's not there that's all there is to do is preach go eat and go to the house so you know so we came down here in september and when we came we decided to stay the whole week so we stayed through the morning service on sunday and went back home then after the morning service and while here of course we bought everything we had money to buy for and and we bought the tape already previously spoken of the testimonies of the ward girls and charity song and wednesday was our first service back in our church now you have to understand in my church i've been there six years and in six years one person had fallen down and i think they slipped [Applause] that's what you get when you eat and go to church when you preach and go eat and go to the house that's all you can do is that's right just live bro you bound to fall yes sir it's going to happen and so we went back home wednesday night was our first service and we had been so powerfully affected while we were here my wife and i had i said i had come to the place where i was just uh you know all right i'm i'm throwing in the towel if if that's what we're gonna do let's preach he'd go the house and be done with it you know why fight it any longer i'm getting grayer and grayer from fighting all of this and so uh and rounder and rounder and uh [Applause] and so but you know you know seriously there's a lot of people out there that can relate to that brother a lot a lot of pastors out there can relate to what you're saying it's frustrating it's frustrating because you feel like you're spinning your wheels been there done it bought the t-shirt so just just give your testimony brother i'm kidding go ahead believe it or not this is all part only wasn't that funny it was kind of you know crying time but we came here in september and we went home and wednesday night i told the my youth pastor i wanted him to bring the youth into the service because i wanted them to hear the testimony because i decided wednesday night we would just play the videotape and see what happened i i know my wife and i when we got it home we played it at the house and i couldn't even pick up the remote to turn you know to turn the snow off in the volume we just sat there and stared at the blank screen and [Applause] couldn't even move to turn the thing down you know and uh so i thought after we saw the tape you know i'll just if it you know if nothing else we'll just all stare at a blank screen and listen to the static you know and so we went to the church that you're trying to fix them where they can't go eat aren't you sir it's happened and bought the t-shirt on that one too but um we uh we put the tape in i got up i talked about coming here for just a few moments time did not talk about any manifestations or anything else and as i said you know it just hasn't been hadn't happened in my church and so we uh put the videotape in played the videotape and i got up at the end of the videotape and think i think i said something extremely profound like the altars are open you know and uh that's all i could think of you know so when i said that revival seriously revival simple it's simple it's not about preaching and it's not about great altar calls it's just simple i've gotten so simple i can't i can tell [Applause] i can tell the pressure's off don't you don't act like a man under pressure no sir i don't even finish whole sentences anymore so yeah they i have never i had never seen this in the church that i was at and i have never i've been pastoring and preaching for 25 years and i have never seen a more radical change in a congregation as i saw that wednesday night they came they didn't come previously they would just walk down and kneel and i don't mean all but you know and typical as i speak to the assemblies of god folk here typical assembly of god prayer time at the altar kneel and just as soon as your pants hit the floor and get really good in the carpet get up and don't want to get wrinkled you know and and so they came and they ran to the altar they fell in the altars on the front pews on the platform the front of the platform they they cried they weeped they wailed for probably an hour and 30 minutes um how long probably an hour and 30 minutes of just weeping and wailing and crying before god then then i says wednesday night wednesday night yes sir normally we were out by 8 15 on wednesday you come at seven you're out by 8 15 so you can go eat and go to the house and uh so we uh after an hour and a half of that i began to pray for folks and um now i've seen this in my ministry before but there i had not seen it and folks just started scattering all over the floor uh people were falling as soon as i touch them they started falling all over the floor now my they haven't seen that that they don't that wasn't something well it's you know there's a phrase going courtesy drop you know it wasn't a courtesy drop and [Applause] and they they fell and they stayed there our youth pastor who happens to be my son-in-law but our youth pastor laid on the floor probably 45 minutes to an hour had a vision of the lord and uh shared that at a later time with us but but god and then people some of our youth broke into holy land at after 10 o'clock sometime after 10 o'clock they physically carried several of the youth out of the church and loaded them in cars to haul them home other people were staggering out of the church [Music] and pastor since that time our morning service we were out if i wasn't out we were out at 12 o'clock and um you know that that allowed for a little bit of alter time where nobody came and you know you understand what i'm saying sir and um our our morning services we this past week we got out early at 1 15 1 30. um we've been going to two to thirty people laying on the floor people getting saved the power of god moving in the altars [Music] sunday nights our sunday night services as most all your people got in with it and and uh have you had much uh plaque i've i've had no no flak to me at all about it um i don't i'm i i'm 25 years in the ministry and i never come in and say this is something new and you know all of this i just let god do it and and i'm there are some who have not entered in but they're not complaining about it to my knowledge none of the board has talked to me about it nobody's brought me any complaints about it the only complaint they have is they're having to stand in line too long to be prayed for wow and uh so i'm having to work at getting more prayer team members involved and i've got my staff my pastoral uh visitation uh staff member is involved in prayer with us now and we're getting more people to pray for the people who line up and uh sunday nights our sunday night services go normally from until we start at six and they go until 9 30 10 10 30 11 11 30. god moving wednesday night that's when our praise team is supposed to practice and boy i'm in a dilemma because our praise team doesn't get to practice anymore and so you know they're coming to me we'd like to practice once in a while and i'm saying well find another night you know do something and uh what do they do uh we wing it for a while you know i we're getting where we wing a lot of things as a matter of fact i'm winging pastoring anymore so yeah i'm gonna go buy the t-shirt on that one too so yeah god bless you brother thank you sir i would like to say to the pastors who are here for the first time um prayed for i i don't know why but i do know how things happen i don't i don't know why god's doing it the way he does but i know that coming here none of my people came my wife and i were the only ones the only thing they saw was the videotape of the lord testimonies but i know that there was a transfer of anointing that took place when we when my wife and i were prayed for and i got i i came to the altar every time i i came and got saved i think five times and you know and i came last night too and dr brown finished preaching you know but uh um and brother hill yourself and and prayer team members and i want to say you don't have to have the pastor and brother hill pray for you um but get prayed for pastors there is something that god is doing through that that just is not coming any other way and it's it made a radical difference in our church you came here ready to throw in the towel just getting prayer helps you turned everything around just getting prayer just getting prayed i mean we said in the services and i i've been pastoring 25 years i've heard messages before i've preached messages thousands of them preached revivals done all of that but i came down here and just getting prayed for made all the difference in the world and when i went back i mean i was walking past her in that down back and forth in in the altar on that wednesday night when i got home and i was i was saying to god god please excuse this i'm a i used to be a science fiction fan back and still am god's working on me but i i uh i said god and i really said this is this a parallel dimension did i get in a time warp coming back and these people all look the same and their voices are the same but it's not the same people well put my prayer was if that's the case beam me up scotty i'm ready well glory follow that will you this is a pastor friend of mine he was official in the assemblies of god in the tennessee district for a number of years he now pastors in memphis and i wanted him just to come and greet us and tell us what god's doing in his church it's powerful i just preached for him over the holidays in memphis and it's a powerful thing that god's doing talk talk about just a little bit first of all i'd like to say as a pastor thank you for opening your doors up to all of us to allow us to come tonight amen the lord certainly has been good to me much better than i've been to him it was june of this last year that the spirit of god fell in our church and i stepped aside and i'm a pretty in charge control guy but for five straight weeks i would walk to the platform ready to preach and the spirit of god would move and people would literally run to the altar to give the heart to jesus god turned our church upside down we we're from memphis tennessee where elvis presley is dead but the king is alive amen amen i was the pastor who had seen rapid growth in our church from a church of 125 that met [Music] loving people but had no vision and our church grew from about 125 in six years to almost 800 900 people we built a five million dollar building and after we built it and got in there was a major power struggle with leadership some of the leaders didn't want god to move i wanted god to move i relate to our brother i came by here to check this thing out see what was going on the first week of june and i was probably the dullest preacher in the sims of god i am i made my own self bored as preaching and god came down in my mind that was just absolutely just tired and wore out carrying the cares of the church and trying to please everyone hello talk about it i set up there in the balcony and the man sit next to me said before you leave make sure the pastor prays for you and i said well there's nothing wrong with me pride but i came forward and god touched me touched my wife i don't know about anyone else in this building but i am not the same and i never want to be like i used to be amen hallelujah our church runs over a thousand every sunday it's one of the most exciting churches you've ever been to i mean the power of god so strong our little budget went from about two hundred thousand dollars six years ago to 1.5 million this year and that's just stuff but i want to tell you something folks i've seen so many miracles i've seen god do so many things i just believe that the greatest thing god's getting ready to do is so much greater than what we have seen i can't wait to see what god's going to do tonight and if god wants to knock me down let him knock me down if he wants me to stand and hold up holy hands i'll do it it doesn't make any difference i am not ashamed of the gospel of jesus christ a couple serving a small god in your eyes he's small d.l moody said so many times if god be your partner make your plans large and i hear pastors of you know testifying of moves of god in the cities and i love that and we i love this move of god and i love what's going on but every time we hear something i'm going god that's wonderful but there's more jesus there's more jesus and it's not it's not that you're not thankful for what god is doing but you know friend who he is we're in tune we're tapped into the one who created it all and i am a firm believer that if he wanted to if he wanted to in a split second he could melt a city and it could be commonplace as this one shared a few minutes ago it could be commonplace lindell shared this that evangelism is is is just something that it people come up to you just asking questions like what must i do to be saved i have shared with this congregation i'm longing for the day that while we're worshiping in here while we're having service the police come storming in and and they're they're they're they have the look of fear and and fright on their face because people all over the city have fallen on their faces and in the malls and in the restaurants people are moaning and groaning and they don't know what to do they come running in here asking questions saying i know we all know everybody the the this this revival is on everyone's lips across the city and it's in the malls it's in the restaurants people are wailing and moaning and groaning what must we do what do we do fred how many believe that can happen you got to believe it can happen friend before we're seated this evening i want us to pray the prayer we've been praying since father's day of 95 we're very simple people in touch with an awesome powerful god and if you're here and you're intellectual and you just uh your mind seems to take preeminence and and when it comes to for example a miracle someone comes with cancer and and automatically you begin to analytically scope out the situation and you go god can't do that god's not going to do this because your mind has raced into high gear some of you know exactly what i'm talking about or you're pastoring in a city and things have never moved on it's never been great it's never god's never going to do your mind begins analyzing it and you know it's just not going to happen friend we're worms we're nothing friend god's everything he is everything and tonight we're going to pray a simple prayer and those of you that battle with the mind the bible says lean not to your own understanding in all your ways acknowledge him and he will direct your path everywhere we go friend in this revival when we get a chance every now and then to do some open meetings for pastors and all and it's amazing all i hear from pastors is i would never have believed it i can't believe this we've seen lines of cars three miles long trying to get into meetings in america friend in america hundreds and hundreds race into the altar to get saved friend we're gonna pray this prayer right now you're gonna say dear jesus speak to my heart change my life we're gonna pray a simple prayer regardless of your age if you're 7 or 77 man woman boy grandpa granddad it doesn't make a difference who you are if you're pastoring a church of 20 000 or 20 if you're a layman if you're a person in here and you don't know god you hate god you don't you you hate me you hate this revival you hate linda cooley you want to get out of here i want you to pray this prayer i want everyone to pray this prayer those of you in overflow i want you to pray with this prayer those of you at home i want you to pray this prayer everyone right now out loud dear jesus speak to my heart change my life in your precious name amen you may be seated [Applause] i hope you've come to receive how many have come to racine a word to those of you in this room that don't know the lord those of you that have come and you're just really not sure about what's going on let me explain something to you that i explained to a young man a few minutes ago before the church service started that god is on the move the lord is causing a famine in the land he has sent the famine i believe this is a direct result of amos's prophecy i believe he saw it 800 years before the birth of christ that in these last days there's going to be something that takes place friend and it has to do with a famine in the land the lord is drying up the watering holes of the world nothing satisfies anymore it would not surprise me pastor that we see in a newspaper madonna on her face asking jesus christ to come into her life that would not surprise me it would not surprise me anymore after what we have seen we've seen multi-millionaires in this place down to street beggars getting saved politicians we've seen federal judges governors families come through this revival we've seen it friend it would not surprise me it would not surprise me if they cleared an area out in front of this building and landed the helicopter from the white house that would not surprise me friend that would not surprise me you want to know why because god is sending the famine and people can't sleep at night they're they're exhausted with life they're sick and tired of everything no religion satisfies the cults are there people in the cults are saying wait a minute this is not real nothing's happening we have witches and warlocks cult members that come all the time buddhists and muslims and jews get saved in this place it's amazing friend nothing satisfies but jesus he's the only one that will feel your soul he's the only one that'll make you happy he's the only one that'll change your life he's here tonight i want to do something that i haven't done in quite a while in the revival but i believe i'm supposed to do it tonight some of you need to make up your mind that you want revival i'm speaking forgive me for those of you that don't know the lord and don't know what revival is you don't know nothing just bear with me for a minute because there's some pastors here and lay people here that you're not sure if you want revival it's time for you to make up your mind it's time for you to make up your mind i tell you if you don't want revival god will pass you by he won't he won't think twice about it friend i can take you across america and show you the dried up plants the dried up churches that the lord they had the opportunity of a lifetime and leonard ravenhill used to share with me the opportunity of a lifetime must be seized during the lifetime of the opportunity he said steve when god is moving move with god and some of you some of them in this room you haven't decided you really don't know if you want revival it may have to do with the cost revival will cost well revival will wear you out friend how many know what i'm talking about but one of the reasons some of you don't want revival is because of the criticism that comes with it you can't stand criticism you're weak you you uh you have no spine you have no backbone as soon as you're the type of person that when you go out evangelizing and talk to somebody about jesus if they cross you or say something negative to you you clam up you you crawl back into your shell you just you're sort of ashamed of everything and you're you're when it comes to revival if a manifestation starts to take place in your church or somebody falls somebody shakes something goes on that's strange and you're just afraid sister so-and-so or brother deacon will stand up and come against you or someone across town maybe you're from a very highfalutin church and someone across town will make a comment and maybe put it in the morning morning paper maybe write a little article against your church you've read them before little blast you know when they have the open opinion columns a little blast against your church about all the stuff that's going on over there and you can't handle it you're so prideful you're so full of self you're so arrogant i'm telling you friend the reason i'm saying this right now is because my concern is for america see i want america to be saved and the only way america's going to get saved if we would get out of the way and let god move in our churches the way he wants to move in our churches that's the only way charlie i want you to bring that cane i preached a message in this place several months ago entitled white cane religion and i haven't done this in quite a while but i wanted to do it tonight because god is speaking to some of you i preached a message entitled white cane religion from the scripture can the blind lead the blind will they not both fall into a ditch and what's happening today friend and i i'm i'm begging you to become strong paul said act like men you know i have a i have a nine year old boy and and sometimes we'll get together just as a dad and a son and i'll go just you and me son we're the men of the house and you can just see him well up and we'll walk around the yard together you know and he starts acting like a young man he suddenly the toys are gone and now he's walking around with dad and he'll do dad-like chores because i said son act like a man be strong stand erect you know and this is a time for some of you to begin standing up and and and whatever you believe in stand strong in that look people in the face and i'm warning you tonight and in that message i warned folks first of all i said this that everybody is following somebody everybody's sinner drug addict everybody's following somebody atheist agnostic everybody's following somebody say no no no i'm a i'm a i'm an atheist and i'm not following nobody yeah you are you from that whole group and when you get together you talk about anti-god stuff you're following somebody i'm non-denominational i ain't following nobody no you are you're a denomination itself and it's called the non-denominational denomination it's all them people out there that aren't part of a denomination everybody's following somebody friend my second point in that message was this make sure the one you're following knows where they're going and that's the scary part because we are following people today like blind men we're following people like sheep to a slaughter it's because pastor joe or evangelist bill or so and so he's always been a good man surely he's got a touch of god on his life friend just because a man had a touch of god in 1970 doesn't mean he has a touch of god in 1997. i'm not picking on anybody fred i'm not telling you the truth i'm telling you the truth in these last days you're going to see a repeat of history you're going to see friend what happened today and in the next few years you're going to see an increase in all of this the little criticism that mike read that's baby stuff that's baby stuff that's pablum these little people on the emailing and write them back let them know there's great testimonies but there's other folks out there they're trying to raise money to get on the airwaves and as soon as your church pastor begins moving in revival i can guarantee it somebody's going to come up against you and it could be the pastor of the largest church in the city and it could be the next time you go to morrison's or denny's or shonies people are gonna look at you and they're gonna start talking under their breath like that and they're gonna be pointing at you as the one in town where weird things are going on that strange church over there how many of you want to be known as that strange church over there i want to be known as that strange church over there i want to be nervous hallelujah hallelujah but be careful be careful friend because there's people out there and i'm warning you ahead of time so you're not taken by surprise when you read it there are publishing companies even today they're on the press books that are anti-revival anything that moves they'll shoot down i want to tell you one of the reasons for that it's big money as long as there's a revival somewhere they're going to make some money because there's a bunch of disgruntled people out there that don't want revival they're going to buy the books so friend make sure the one you're listening to make sure the one you're following knows where they're going make sure they got a fresh touch of god when i listen to this man from hope arkansas dear god you got hope in your church brother where are you i look at that and i don't hear a dead church a dead pastor i hear a passage that's alive the church is alive it's going after god but pastor i can guarantee you within a 15-mile radius of your church there's scores of ministerial individuals peers that are anti-you make sure the one you're following knows where they're going friend because just as in the days of old there are folks that have a touch of god on their lives but they don't have a move of god right now in their lives they talk about what it was back then but they don't know what it is right now they missed a touch of god friend and you watch what's going to happen friend it's going to be the same as in days of old they came against wesley they came against whitefield they came against jonathan edwards they came against charles finney they came against d.l moody they came against the asus street revival anything that breathed and moved people came against i'm not talking about the world i've never had a problem with the world you gotta talk to the sinners in the city about the brownsville revival i've talked to sinners in this city they'll say to me that's awesome what's going on over there man i haven't gotten saved yet bunch of my friends have gotten saved man that's awesome what's going on they'll have a miller in their hand you know drinking the miller that's awesome what's going on over there that's real man that's real stuff going on over there you know i was at the mall i was at the mall one day this man comes up to me goes you steve hill said i'm steve hill he goes i'm coming to your revival to get saved tonight and i i said what because i'd never heard that i'm sorry maybe you have but i've never heard that i'm coming to your revival to get saved tonight i said let me understand something here you're not saved he goes no man i'm into drugs and alcohol and everything and i said you're coming to my revival to the rival is not mine but this revival to get saved he said all my friends have gotten saved but you can have thousands of testimonies like that and we do friend they're all over this building and in the youth chapel tonight they're everywhere but there'll be other folks in town friend man alive they'll come against you pastor they'll go that ain't god that old man he never got saved you just i want to know where he's at 15 years from now you ever heard that a person's been saved a week they want to know where they're at 15 years from now i'm happy they've been saved a week i don't know about you i'm happy to be insane to weak hallelujah but here they come friend the opponents of jesus opponents of revival and they're really what they feel like they are you know it's god's soldiers you know keeping keeping the church holy but let me just warn you ahead of time and i'm going to move off of this this is for you friend it's going to happen again if i brought whitefield here if we could bring him here bring wesley you know what wesley would say if we asked wesley if we asked wesley this question how come you did so much preaching in the open air you know what he would say what that's a methodist because they wouldn't allow him inside the church why that was the church of the day friend they said get that man out of here that's the most ungodly thing i've ever seen in my life what kind of talk is that you're being saved what are you talking about looking fred so what did he do preached in the streets what did he do i don't know not much just changed the nation that's all he did just turned the whole nation around but you want to know something the man had backbone the man had guts whitefield had guts edwards had guts have a little guts friend stand up for what you believe when the assoza street revival broke out so many people came against william seymour that poor one-eyed black man that had a milk crate as a pulpit he was just going after god that's all he was doing but across the atlantic there was people bellowing out and all over america for sure but across the atlantic people were blasting oh william sieber most of the time it's people that have never been to the revival but here's g campbell morgan how many are familiar with g campbell morgan pastors i love him dearly i've got his books in my library and i refer to him he's a great bible expositor dead and gone matter of fact he's up right now in heaven i'll tell you where he's at right in just a minute but g campbell morgan g campbell morgan looked across the waves at asusa street and he pointed his finger at him and it was a move of god for in a move of god people were being touched from all over the world and he tapped his cane he pointed his finger through his spectacles and he said this that that's going on in california is the last vomit of satan stay away i want to tell you friend he missed god was he a man of god yes he was did he miss god of course he did everyone knows he missed god and today they're probably right now laying out the tablecloths for the marriage supper of the lamb and maybe even just because there's no time up there maybe maybe they're starting to usher in all the people you know when you get there you'll have a great seat but maybe they're beginning to fill up all these tables and i bet g campbell morgan oh god sit him right across from william seymour [Applause] what affects me friend is the fact that how many people could gamble morgan have sent to the associate street revival he could have sent thousands and thousands of pastors have pointed them in that direction and said go get more from god i'm not going to stop you if that's god go after god with all your heart he'll give you discernment but go after god go get on your face pray all night with those people get sweaty in that old hot building go after god friend but he didn't do that i wonder how many millions did not receive christ because thousands of others that were leaders did not go after god it's a chain r.a torrey said that asusa is emphatically not of god pastors i'm talking about some of our spiritual leaders h.a ironside said it's disgusting delusions insanities exhibitions worthy of a madhouse stay away from l.a fred make sure the one you're following knows where they're going and i i beg of you pastors those of you pastors here that you've had dear friends for years you know you've been ministerial associates and just you love one another but they're moving in a different direction you're going after this revival they're moving a different direction for the sake of friendship some of you for the sake of friendship will allow the holy spirit to just move off you'll cool off for the sake of a friend for the sake of a friend because he's been a friend 18 years and you've been golfing buddies and you just don't really want to sever that friendship and for the sake of that friendship he's pulling you into his camp friend you're playing with fire you might gain your friend back friend but the dub's to fly the dub's going to fly make sure and i close with this last illustration friend i was in the argentine revival for seven years those of you that are in brazil where they were friends from brazil raise your hand god bless y'all from brazil they know what happened in argentina for seven years the power of god came down we were right in the middle of it we were planting churches we were watching the souls one of our churches went from like two people to ten thousand in two years we watched it within our eyes we saw the drug addicts the alcoholics getting saved and within that country there were pastors as churches were blossoming down the street there were pastors saying this it's not of god today years later they're still saying the same thing when some churches are in the 5 000 7 000 members and they had 100 and 200 members friend in america one of the most noted evangelists in this nation said to me personally before i left for argentina he said that argentine revival is nothing steve it's very shallow don't even think twice about it thank god i didn't listen to him thank god that argentine revival is nothing steve don't think anything of it friend make sure the one you're following knows where they're going well and everybody said okay okay it's easy to say right here friend but i want to tell you when persecution comes when hard times come when your name appears in the local paper and it's not favorable your little defamation of character you know and you are in the restaurants and they are talking about you that's a whole different story it's easy to say it in this atmosphere people look at 19 20 months of revival and they go man you guys this is awesome we fought the fight friend we're still fighting the fight we went through the period at the beginning where people were cursing it we were here friend all the way through it we were just watching the souls get saved everywhere and within a mile from here there would be people cursing the revival cursing it saying it's not of god now most all the critics are gone seriously friend what you hear is peanuts why how do you fight something like this i take it from a plumber that came a plumber came to fix our our bathroom plumbing uh here here in alabama and and he came to the he came to the the house and and he saw me didn't know i was the one he was coming to he said you're the evangelist over there at the brownsville revival i said yeah who are you and he goes i'm so and so and he said i'm a southern baptist he said our pastor talked against your revival he told us not none of us to go but he said my mama listen he said my mama she loves our pastor but my mama had cancer and i remember he said when my mama turned to us at the dinner table and said to my my dad honey i'm going to brownsville and my dad said honey you know our pastors told us not to go over there she said this is what she said at the dinner table honey our pastor doesn't have cancer and i'm not against you know don't don't misquote me please friend but you know the illustration this is a true story what do you do what do you do she came over here he told me the story he said in one night she was totally healed of cancer and now everywhere she goes and he said from that he said from that my pastor doesn't talk bad about that revival no more he won't mention it from the pulpit because he knows my mama he knows he knows my mama hallelujah i felt this just a few minutes ago there's some folks in this room that are in serious shape you're in bad shape friend spiritually holy spirit i ask you tonight to drop the blinders from their eyes lord the religious blinders that are up where they think everything's okay but you know that they're racing towards judgment jesus you know that they don't know you you see the facade jesus you see right through it holy spirit let the blinders fall tonight and may they see themselves for who they really are for those in this room lord that have never known you those in this room jesus that have never known you as her personal savior that have a thousand questions with no answers those in this room lord that have never bowed their need to you jesus i pray holy spirit that tonight you would convict their hearts you would cause them lord god to melt in your presence i pray holy spirit tonight sweet jesus heavenly father for those in this room that are backslidden those in this room that have lost the touch of god in their lives those in this room that are away from you jesus i pray that tonight they would melt they would melt jesus they would open up their lives give their hearts to you lord give their lives back to you jesus they would repent i ask of you tonight sweet jesus i beg of you jesus give me their souls tonight jesus tonight we don't have another day jesus all we have is now today is the day of salvation behold now is the time do it jesus tonight do it jesus tonight do it jesus do it jesus i'm just going to talk to you for a minute look at me i've got a prepared message in this notebook but i will not preach it unless the lord tells me to preach some of you in this room have lost your desire for god you've lost your spiritual appetite you've lost your hunger for god maybe you can remember back friend when when you thought about god all the time maybe you can remember back when the things of god were were were foremost in your mind maybe you can remember back when talking about jesus or talking about godly things and holy things and bible studies and and scripture analysis and scripture memory was the foremost thing in your mind witnessing evangelizing talking to somebody about jesus was everything to you but now something's happened your appetite has weaned and you've lost it you've lost your desire for god friend i want to tell you where you're at friend don't call it by any other name that's a backslidden condition but you don't know what i'm going through friend you cannot blame anything on anything friend quit passing the buck quit blaming everything on something else well i went through a bad marriage well i went through this well i went through that friend we all go through things that's not reason to backslide that's not reason to give up on god that's not and i'm speaking from a man we've gone through heartache we've gone through trials we've gone through tribulation and we will go through more but that doesn't mean friend you give up on god but you have lost your spiritual appetite you've given up on the things of god friend you are in a backslidden condition those of you in an overflow room i want you to listen to me the holy ghost is there just like he's right here in this room those of you at home i want you to listen to this preacher he is in that room the spirit of god is in your living room just like he's here and i'm speaking to a man you are in a red chair as a matter of fact it's got a it's an older red chair and it's got a wooden crank on the side of it it's an old lazy boy chair you're sitting in that chair that thing's made of tweed and it's got black speckles in it i can see your chair sir and you are so backslid it's scary somebody gave you this video somebody gave you this program and told you to watch it friend i want to tell you something right now this is not just another video this is not just a program this is almighty god coming into your life one more time one more time he's going to speak to you he's going to speak to you tonight he's going to speak to you sir the excuses are over no more excuses it's time to get right with god in this room it's time to get right with god it's time for you to get right with god you've lost your spiritual appetite others of you in this room you may be asking tonight even now i don't know what mike brown preached on last night we preach every night friend on what god lays on our heart in this place i've preached enough messages friend i don't have to prove anything to anybody i don't have to prove nothing to nobody we have some of the greatest theologians come through this place and friend i'm not here to impress you i'm here to speak to your heart speak to my heart change my life what good is it for some of you to have memorized the book of hebrews you've memorized the book of john you can quote verbatim the book of acts you can teach jeremiah you can teach ezekiel you can teach dear god the book of revelation from front to back back to front but you don't have a touch of god in your life you don't have jesus what good is all that friend those days are gone friend what jesus is looking for is a heart that's after him he's looking for somebody that wants him he's looking for someone who will worship him in spirit and in truth i'm hearing across america of our institutes our bible schools getting on fire for god you want to know what's happening professors are falling on their face they're saying we've had them theological institutes coming in here theological seminaries have come in here it's awesome to watch them they bust up students they bust them up they fill up the buses and bus them down to revival and just dump them all in this place they're so sick and tired of education you want an education you want an education get a touch from jesus that's the education you need that's all you need those of you that got to have a scripture because you're a note taker where's that found now is a time today is a day quick mike first corinthians 2 corinthians chapter 6 verse 1. look it up make sure the theologian's right over there is he right [Applause] i preached one night in this revival friend on the word now n-o-w it's all through the word you know what it means now it means now it means come to jesus now it means get right with god now not tomorrow not yesterday not in three days not after you think about it it's now today is a day friend to get your life right with god i'm concerned can you feel it i am concerned for you friend i am concerned another sure sign for some of you that you're in a pitiful shape is this you've grown worldly in your actions and desires worldly you know what that is you you you consume more of the world more the things of this world than you do jesus this pastor that stood up a few minutes ago and he says i wake up in the morning with jesus on my lips i go to sleep at night with jesus on my lips i eat drink and breathe jesus that is a person on fire for god but a person that is not on fire for god friend is always around something else always around you go to their homes friend and i tell folks this in this revival you can go to my house and this is not bragging friend it's just facts and walk from one end to the other you can go through every drawer you can go through every ever you can look under the beds between the mattresses you can go through every closet you can go in the attic you can look everywhere in my house you're not gonna find anything that grieves god there's nothing there friend it's clean the house is totally clean but a person who's backslid will have little things tucked here and there you go through the house and you might find some good christian videos but then you'll find an r-rated one right underneath there you have a few pg-13s that got vile language and and some some some sexual intercourse in there and and and a little of this and a little of that and you'll see that tucked in and maybe late into the night when the kids are asleep there it goes on in the in the in the vcr or maybe you don't even do that maybe you wouldn't dare have them in your house you just watch television you'll just watch it later tonight when no one's watching or maybe you'd never do that in your house you'll do it at a friend's house friend that's a backslidden man it's a backslidden man this bothers people i can tell it right now some of you won't look at me no more you don't want to look at me no more but honestly pastor honestly friend layman whoever you might be here tonight i can't imagine sitting in my living room listening to curse words flowing from that screen gd this and gd that and all these words floating around my living room i can't imagine that and then going to church and saying i love you lord and i lift my voice it doesn't compute i can't imagine ma'am i can't imagine sir watching a movie and a scene comes on where clothes start to drop off and you know what's about to happen the music portrays it everything portrays here comes the catch here comes the hook that hooks the people this is what they rented this thing for this is why they're watching this they know it's in here and i can't imagine you watching that allowing that to go into your heart into your mind into your spirit and you wonder why you have a lustful spirit you wonder why you wake up at night having dreams some illicit dream or you're always thinking about other women or other men friend you are consuming it upon yourself now by the way i was going to preach on jonah tonight i'm telling you friend this is from the lord tonight i've got a complete message here on from the book of jonah it wasn't going this direction at all i'm not doing this because i want to do it i'm doing it because it's a command of the lord tonight it's a command of the lord another concern for those of us in the ministry when we see a backslid person one of the sure signs friend is that person becomes less affected less troubled by sin less troubled by sin young people i want you to listen to me there's a bunch of you here there's about six or seven hundred across the street but a bunch of you here you're not troubled by sin little things like being in the bathroom at school and some kids telling a filthy joke and it doesn't grieve you as a matter of fact when they look over you you chuckle and you call yourself a christian quit calling yourself a christian friend call yourself a heathen you're damaging the church you are bringing damage to the church you're the reason that i didn't get saved for years because i never met people that were on fire for god i met people in my pot circles who would sit there and smoke dope on saturday night they'd be passing the joint and then they'd get up and i'd say where you going they go i gotta go home why i got church in the morning i'm telling you the truth at school they would be hanging out in the smoking court they would be hanging out with us yet they'd be at first baptist that sunday morning first assembly that sunday morning you're not troubled about sin anymore the little things don't bother you anymore friend the little things someone once said love is made up of little things and destroyed by little things and that's what's caused you to backslide friend is the little things they slipped in now some of you are not looking at me no more man you were smiling a few minutes ago you're an unhappy camper right now but i want to tell you what this message is i don't know what mike preached on last night i really don't i won't tell you what this is this is the same as a doctor if you came into a doctor's office and he laid you out on the bed and he starts poking you saying does that hurt does that hurt does that hurt does that hurt ah there's the problem and what do you do you don't curse the doctor for that you pay him you pay the doctor why he's there to make you well but he's bringing pain on your body yeah but you know in the end things are gonna be okay and that's a job of a preacher in the end things are gonna be okay but you gotta see the root of the problem first [Applause] so the little things don't bother you anymore you remember backslider back when the things the little things drove you crazy the little sins bothered you they grieved your spirit when you got around these things you saw people do this you heard people say that you you saw this with your eyes you remember how it grieved you maybe sir you were delivered from all kinds of garbage in the world and you lived a holy life and you would see a playboy or a penthouse in a magazine you'd turn your head and walk away because it grieved you but now you've been sucked back into that stuff your backslid friend quit calling it a hard time in your life quit calling it a low time quit calling it i'm gonna get right one day quit calling it any of that friend it's called a backslidden condition and today is the day to get right with god now is the time now is the time there's an urgency friend there's an urgency tonight for those of you that have never known the lord in just a minute charity's going to come and sing run to the mercy seat listen to me friend jesus christ is the one who put everything into existence those of you in this room that are tarot card readers those of you in here that call the psychics those of you in here that read the uh astrological stars and you read your horoscope every day and you you find your way in life just as a blind man we're just groping along those of you that are in all those things those that are that are into mystical cards you know let me tell you something friend my jesus made the trees where they got the paper to make the cards my jesus those of you that gaze into the heavens to find out of jesus when this pastor a minute ago talked about what's happening in hope and these other churches around america that right there is just echoing thousands of churches friend how can you leave out of here those of you i'm talking to those of you that don't even believe in jesus you're not saved yet think about it a man comes here gets prayed for all in the name of jesus you know we pray over more of jesus that's what we pray more of jesus whoa deep more of jesus that's what i pray over people more of jesus in your life and if you need power that's what you need more of jesus you need healing more of jesus you need more of jesus and then they go back to their churches and sometimes they don't even get a word out of their mouth they just stand there and one pastor just leaned on the pulpit like this and the power of the lord just fell in the church people began falling from the pews one's pastor's son who had never made a commitment to christ was 19 years of age just just bent on going to hell was one of those kids that would sit in the back of the church he was a stench in the pastor's nostrils he loved him but he was just the pastor's son sat in the back the pastor came in this is the truth friend the pastor came in and went like this on the pulpit the sun was struck by the power of jesus christ he came running to the altar fell on his face wept and wailed in the presence of god pastor didn't do anything friend you know what that is that's the presence of almighty god that's the presence of jesus he is in this room he is in this room tonight friend he is here to heal you he's here to save you he's here to set you free nothing can save you friend you can't earn your way to heaven he was crucified 2 000 years ago for you friend you know the christmas story and we're about to celebrate the easter story this is the greatest time pastors you know it this is the greatest time in america these three or four months right here for people to come to the lord this is it this is the greatest time because they become religious they start thinking about god and this is this is we're going to be celebrating easter when he rose again from the dead friend jesus christ is the one 21 years ago who came into my bedroom and saved my soul he's the one that saved over 90 000 people in this room friend he is in this place it makes no difference what you've done it makes no difference if your backslid it makes no difference if you've never known the lord it makes no difference if you're a god-hater it makes no difference if you're in this place and you don't even believe in god i want to tell you friend how you come to jesus you come to him you just come to god open your heart and say you can say this one man did right here i remember the night he said god if you're here save my soul he just didn't you know what i'm talking about friend america's full of people like this they just didn't believe anything and guess what he's here friend jesus is here he'll set you free he'll heal your mind he'll heal your emotions he'll set you free from addictions he'll heal your family he'll heal your marriage he'll save you from the darkness in your life he will take you from darkness to light friend in a matter of seconds in this place but you got to do something and those of you at home sir i'm still seeing you in that red chair he's going to set you free tonight but what you're going to have to do sir is do exactly what these people here do i'm going to give an altar call now is the time today is a day this is it now is the time for you i'm going to give this alter call charity is going to sing run to the mercy seat those of you that are away from god you're going to have to get up and come down to this altar those of you that have never known calvary for all to see he did that for you and you couldn't walk 20 feet for him you couldn't walk down from the balcony for him you couldn't walk 75 feet for him and get forgiveness of sins think about it friend if you're ashamed of him he is ashamed of you if you will confess him he will confess you is that the bible or not it will friend but if you stand there and you say well i'm just going to take care of this in my own secret little way friend those days are gone this is a day friend of publicly making a profession of faith this is a day publicly and we're not going to close our eyes and we're not going to raise our hands those of you in this room that need forgiveness you're going to come in just a minute as quickly as you can you're going to ask the lord to wash your sins away those of you that are backslid those of you that are away from god those of you in this room that have never known the lord you may be muslim you may be jew you may be buddhist you may be from some eastern religion it makes no difference jesus christ is here to save your soul to set you free to make you brand new he will do it tonight friend he'll do it tonight but he's not going to do it in your seat and sir in a minute you're going to get up from your chair and you're going to get on your face in front of that television set you're not going to sit in the lazy boy and ask forgiveness you're going to get on your face in that place and ask jesus christ as a matter of fact you've got family in the back rooms i want you to call your family out call them right now call them out and tell them to come out by that television set and every one of you can repent together and ask jesus christ to forgive you as soon as charity begins to sing everyone in this room that's away from god look right but you don't know him you can go to hell with baptismal waters on your face you can go to hell with a certificate of ordination hanging behind your desk you can go to hell friend with a certificate for the the the perfect sunday school attendance of 1996. it makes no difference friend the only thing that matters is have you been washed in the blood of the lamb have you been washed in the blood of jesus have your sins been washed away that's all that matters we've had 80 year old 87 year old 90 year old folks fall on their face in this place because they've gone through their whole life they didn't know him they knew all about him but they didn't know him do you wake up in the morning with jesus on your heart do you go to sleep at night with jesus on your heart do you eat drink and breathe jesus see you're supposed to be a bride he's coming back for a bride and you look at some people that call themselves christians they don't look like brides i've never seen a sad pitiful bride but some of us look like we don't look like we're going to get married our hearts and our thoughts are in all these other things pick a bride nowadays friends that's getting ready for an april wedding you know what they're doing right now thinking about the cake thinking about the clothes thinking about her hair thinking about her thinking about the the place the candelabras what are they thinking about the groom the groom the groom the oh the wedding the wedding talk about something else i promise friend they'll turn it back into the wedding as quick as they can why that's all they're consumed with well jesus is fixing to come back friend what are you consumed with and if you're consumed with other things besides the bride the the groom jesus christ then something's wrong with you friend are you getting down on me brother steve no friend this is good for you what do you think it's going to be like on judgment day when we stand before the lord you think you're going to turn to
