Beachcombing Bonfire Seaglass And Fossils On The Kentish Coast

[Music] hey [Music] me [Music] me [Music] almost like ice it's amazing i've never found anything like it and there's loads of it [Music] and whilst collecting all of this glorious glass i think i've just found my first bit of fossil i think that is part of an ammonite yeah you can see where the shell or something it's definitely fossilized still got little bits of the the shell it's my first fossil all of this glorious glass i'm just obsessed oh look that one's got like beautiful stripes through it i'm just obsessed with this big look i mean it's beautiful and look at this piece of pottery down here it's got leaves on it how cute look at the size of that piece it's a good chunky piece and i saw look this little turquoise sort of piece and then this big chunky piece it's almost got like clouds inside oh it's so beautiful there's another one of those fossils there's such a beautiful like lilac and yellow color [Music] so a little patch of sea glass loads oh it's nice to see you guys oh that's a pretty bit [Music] look at it all it's a big bit this will be [Music] all sorts of smooth [Music] it's glowy oh look at that no who would have thought you'd come here and get a multi [Music] huh let's put some of these in my bag i think i didn't expect this came looking for those pieces of fossils it's like the rim [Music] there's lots of there must be oh look it's blue and white must be a dump around here somewhere that's pretty pieces i'm quite frosted oh this the orange thing oh it's not a bead a button wow that's a shame it's broken second 1940s button [Music] it's another multi look at that wow and another one it's got like red in it i think oh on it oh little nuggets [Music] like a drop it's a bit smooth outside like i should get down lower swirly bit oh and a fossil that's what we came for it's actually a fossil it's a shell look at that lump and look at this beautiful color oh look oh my goodness it's another monty [Music] i was like melted together i think but that is beautiful it's just i can't pick it all up [Music] eleven one brown clear and green that's beautiful they've never seen a multi like it i've got another one oh wow and this beautiful blue one i've never seen multis like it it's absolutely amazing okay okay so this is very fun look how cool that one is they're like little pieces of artwork see your maltese no it looks like it's got a little alien inside this one has brown in it look at that one green and dark green oh let me try and hold it up to the light okay it's not quite working we've come on a day where it's not sunny there's another one i literally haven't moved yet and i found like three oh my goodness oh my goodness we came with fossils this one has like dark blue light blue and clear what is the size and shape and weight of like a domino but it's just a piece of sea glass but it's like a perfect rectangle a bit chipped suddenly three pieces look at that beautiful color oh my goodness it's beautiful and then it's a bit of a broken bit of one of those fossils and then a bigger bit of one of those fossils that's still like got the pointy end and then this beautiful olive green piece oh my goodness [Music] some fossil there you go yep a bit of fossilized ammonite oh my goodness can you see the stone that stands out look it's like it's like orange peachy white oh that's so beautiful oh my gosh it's so gorgeous tree [Music] oh my goodness has got a tree on it hasn't it yeah but i'm not sure if that's that's not part of the design that's just how it's been burnt and the bubbles but it's made the perfect tree i don't know i think it's a tree oh my goodness [Music] [Music] oh it's a pretty blue it's so very smooth too this looks like a textured glass look at this piece so smooth [Music] i did not expect this [Music] this is the beauty beauty of exploring i never know what you're gonna find i love these blobs of melted glass i think they're known as bonfire glass i presume that's because they were burnt in the fire oh look at that blue blump [Music] i love this like the textured glass it's worn smooth [Music] oh more textured i like the textured smoothed oh a bit of uranium [Music] look at it it's amazing oh another bit of uranium just a piece of metal [Music] look at that beautiful piece of uranium with white in it that is beautiful [Music] good patch you're never gonna see it on my camera but that's such a cool multi [Music] it's a shame it's just not a little bit smoother but hey it's a multi [Music] another one this place is amazing [Music] what are you you're tiny oh my goodness where are you are you a fossil you look like a firework it's a fossil isn't it it looks like a firework it's beautiful gorgeous do you see it oh my goodness well i think that's going to be my best faucet of the day look at that ammonite oh my goodness you found one too that is a fossil it is a shell fossil it begins with me i really have made it a mission to try and remember and i've forgotten but that's a really good fossil boo [Music] just by my leg where i was filming oscars oh my goodness it's purple it's a beautiful lilac bit and it's sort of crackly [Music] uh oh my goodness heart shaped sea glass almost sort of do you see that piece oh my goodness not only is it orange which is already one of the rarest seagulls colors and my favorite color it's patterned and not sharp anymore oh my goodness oh my goodness it's so beautiful [Music] it's a tiny malty tiny black and white one so it looks like a bat or lungs [Music] [Music] very distorted and one of those fossils look at the button it's so distorted it's glass oh my goodness i love it wonky button don't lie look that lilac very glowy [Music] oh is it glow is it milo because it just sort of a uranium but sort of pinky [Music] oh look oh my goodness oh my goodness wow it's sort of malty i love all these lumps they really are they're beautiful i picked a couple of them over there before i found thanks i will off i go oh my gosh oh my god oh my gosh is that one i can't get it a baby no no no no oh my gosh it is it's so worn but oh my god you know i keep on saying that i want to go somewhere to find one some of those um star fossils that's what that is is it that's what yeah they come in little stacks of star fossils and you can see that it's just so incredibly worn goodness oh my goodness oh i wish they were still star-shaped they're just almost star-shaped they're just worn but that means oh look i just felt a giant bit of ammonite oh really yeah whoa that is massive oh my gosh mom you can find them here [Music] oh it's so beautiful oscar says he's the god of fossils let's see it might take a while okay we've got distracted oh what's that bring them closer i know but bring them a bit closer i can't see on this camera well i don't want to put them i know well here put them on my bag so one two three oh my goodness oh that's beautiful oscar oh my goodness mum look i know that's amazing four oh yeah a lot of that win okay five wow oh yeah inside oh and on the outside i think this is a bottle oh yeah there is a shell fossil okay it's so easy to find oh i don't know what it is it's fossilized though for sure look at that one it's probably my favorite oh boo-boo that's beautiful i can understand why that's one of your favorites oh my goodness wow we're in the glass bit [Music] oh my goodness you have been busy that is a fossil yet have been busy [Music] just come and ask who is the better camera i do what is it oh my goodness oscar that is that is so beautiful oh my goodness i think that's the best fossil you've ever found here go show it to mother [Music] look at this amazing multi i just found it's yellow and clear [Music] look at this piece of slag it's beautiful another little multi look at that tiny multi it's got a stripe in it i've got a tiny multi with a stripe in it [Music] oh look at that one that's just like a fold [Music] look how glowy that uranium glass is that is so beautiful [Music] wow [Music] [Music] so [Music] yeah oscar wasn't wrong this is covered in fossils this sport he's brought me to is tiny fossilized vertebrae and they're just here there's some fossilized ammonite and all of this it's like oh yeah look oh my goodness oscar just found one of the things that i found earlier you're gonna have to find out what they are [Music] [Music] it was really [Music] glass blue gem i found this little thing if you turn it over oh it's beautiful is it like a sand dollar look i just found this beautiful piece of sea glass oh that sounds rich don't put it in there look at that one oh my goodness that beautiful [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] uh we went to a beach looking for fossils and we found lots of glass instead beautiful bonfire glass bonfire glass is made as the process of burning glass they used to take the rubbish to the beaches and burn the rubbish there and the multi-coloured pieces are where like two bottles next to each other burnt into each other and you can see and it's just as beautiful as the other maltese in woodley's we found quite a few that looked like seeing malty's sunny cat stood on there some glasses honey thank you this one especially it does look like a sea of multi because it's got a little i mean it's still burnt and a bit uglier but i sort of love them for that but yeah it's got a stripe through it i'd say this was one of my favorites and where's the little blue one like that that one's where's the other one where's the yellow one no that's oh that one um what was i gonna say my favorite i've already i will show i've filmed lots of these so i'll put it at the end but this one's my favorite it's brown white and green it's a trio all smushed together and it's covered in sunny cat ripple well yeah because that that was my favorite this is the favorite i found because it looks like it's got a tiny little creature inside it's like moss and clear and it looks like it's got a little creature an alien baby it's a really beautiful bit of slag as well oh yeah i did find that i've slightly varnished these all including the other pieces because we're going to there's going to be um five bags in the shop after this film and each one each one will have a bonfire multi in it [Music] so i've just been looking at the sea glass and i didn't realize that this big bit is purple not amber look at the color of that that's absolutely beautiful oh my goodness it's raining again look at that color wow that's i have never found a pcc glass that color purple magenta uh we found port-sized clams melomites and [Music] and those two mysterious ones we don't know what they are bellam knights we don't know what these two fossils are but they're beautiful so if anyone knows i think oscar is very keen to know what that one is all about this beautiful fossils um i found this orange like 1940s button possibly last button same it's broken and then there's another squished button hey sonny and then some pottery various bits j sainsbury's don't know what this is that mum found just a little copper good for craft jay sainsbury's probably potted meat it looks like it looks like roman but it's got a very orange interior it's got a very orange i think it's just a flower pot that's been burnt and then there's this tiny glass faceted gem pretty sure it's not sapphire but that was quite crazy to find out there the tiniest weeniest little thing um yeah um well i hope you enjoyed that film which was supposed to be a fossil film but turned into a bonfire class spectacular and uh next thursday or this thursday coming is the first christmas craft um kate is very excited she has grand plans [Laughter] sonny sunny what you doing sunny sunny um as i was saying uh yeah the first christmas crafts we'll be making some christmas tree decorations we're about to go make it now yes that's exciting it's going to be christmas christmas christmas so we get to decorate a little
