The Sex Pistols said a ton of stuff that was just provocative for the sake of it. It was what they were about. At the time people would have just dismissed it as anti establishment talk.
It seems that sometimes the most wholesome characters turn out to be monsters, and the 'bad' ones are actually the good guys. Marilyn Manson seems like a pretty nice bloke, Bill Cosby not so much.
Johnny Rotten's a bit of a twat but when he's right he's right.
To be fair, being a living legend of punk rock must be a bit of hard mantle.
Piers Morgan is a cancer.
Saville was a big cash cow through his 'charity' work (the type of charity which goes straight into the pockets of the rich).
And that is why he got away with what he did for at least 40 years, even though it was the most open secret ever.
Saville died in 2012 and that once open secret became public knowledge a few years later, despite the very best efforts of the BBC to cover it up. In fact, those who did the covering up of his crimes should face justice.
So does this make anyone take pause with the odd statements and behavior from Shia Labeouf and Corey Feldman?
So many people ignored and allowed it to continue and even more silenced. For decades.
Makes you wonder what more monsters run among the affluent class with their fancy lawyers and respectable decision making.
Just for the record, you cannot make allegations like that against someone on the radio, and expect it to be aired. The radio station would be liable to a huge defamation lawsuit.
And Piers Morgan is carrying on like Johnny Rotten was banned from the BBC for that interview, when the Sex Pistols had been blacklisted a year earlier for this interview. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8XGe_hncsiM
I heard pretty credible stories about Bill Cosby in the 80s. Seemed like most people in Hollywood knew and didn’t care.
