BattlBox - Mission 63

[Music] hi I'm Eric Siegel with KITT bash survival and today we're going to be checking out mission 63 of battle box battle box is a subscription box service that delivers sort of a survival outdoorsy bushcraft hunting type of gear every month I've been a member since last year in 2019 and so far I've been pretty happy of course you never know what you're gonna get in each month's box so it can be a little hit or miss sometimes in terms of how satisfied you are and your level of satisfaction really depends on what type of stuff you like I do this just for fun I don't do it because I need any of the gear inside the stuff I need I already have a lot of people don't like subscription box services like this and if you're one of those people that's okay you don't have to do it but me I just like doing it for fun anyway let's go ahead and see what's inside mission 163 so here's the mission card that explains what each level has there are four levels of membership going from basic to the Pro Plus I've got the Pro Plus which is 150 a month and it explains what each level has in it the Pro Plus is basically the knife of the Month Club it has everything else plus a knife and then on the back they've got an explanation of the mission which does mention the current pandemic situation that we're in now I'm going to tell you that I already know what's in this box and it's a little bit firearm centric which is not right up my alley because I really don't collect firearms I don't have a lot of guns so I'm not sure how much use I'm gonna have or some of this stuff but we'll go ahead and check it out anyway so let me go ahead and get this out so this is a plan oh 18 inch tactical pistol case so pretty self-explanatory there it is made by planta which is a good company I have a couple Plano tackle boxes for my fishing gear so it's good quality this off made in the USA which is always a good thing so it's not bad but I don't have a pistol to put in this case because I don't own a pistol I have a shotgun but I don't have a pistol so I'm not sure how much use I'm gonna get out of this as a pistol case now I probably will buy a pistol at some point in the future so maybe at that point I'll put in this case but in the meantime I'll probably use it for something else maybe I'll make a survival kit out of it or maybe use it to carry some of my camera gear or something like that but yeah not bad like I said you know each month's box is a surprise and sometimes it has stuff that you like and sometimes not so much and this is one of those months where you know some of the stuff is stuff that is not right in my wheelhouse but it's still kind of cool up next we've got the hybrid white hex Bluetooth speaker and charger and this is pretty cool I actually like this I never have enough Bluetooth speakers / power banks so it's a Bluetooth speaker of course but then it has a light and then there's a lantern light all around here and then there's also a solar charger on the back and in addition to just being a Bluetooth speaker it also has an FM radio and a line in and you can also use an SD card to play music if you want to so it's pretty cool I like the solar charger that's nice it has a little hook here so you can hook it on your tent or something like that let me go ahead and turn the light on that's a low and it goes up too high and it's pretty bright I'm not sure if it shows up in the video but it's pretty darn bright and then there's also this light on the side which is very bright right there you've got the inputs for the micro USB charging cable and the USB out if you want to charge your phone or something because it is a power bank so that's nice so not only is it a solar power at a light and Bluetooth speaker and radio and so forth but you can also charge your cell phone and whatnot from this as well so it's a good thing to have on a trip and it's not that heavy and then these are the buttons for the audio controls so there it is and the mode changes it from Bluetooth speaker to FM radio to auxilary input so it's not bad [Music] auxiliary so pretty cool and I've tried the Bluetooth speaker of functionality and it worked just fine so yeah and it comes with a little charging cable so not bad at all and again I like the hook you can put it on the inside of your tent and then during the day if you're on a hiking trip or something you can charge it up so not bad then we've got this baggie that contains the next item which is breakthrough clean technologies battleborn HB pro lubricant and protectant so I think this is meant to be used on firearms and so forth but I'm probably not gonna use it for that it looks like it's a good oil so I'm gonna put it in my workshop and just use it to lubricate and clean various items up next we've got yet another firearm related item you know they like to have themes in their boxes and this month is definitely a firearm themed box so this is a universal mag holder it's a belt clip magazine holder and it says it'll hold any magazine from nine-millimeter up to 45 I don't know a whole lot about magazine holders and stuff like that because I'm not an expert with firearms but it's kind of cool and it's made in the USA that's not bad up next is something I will definitely be using this is cat tongue grips non abrasive grip tape and it basically allows you to put a grippy surface on anything that you want so yeah I like this a lot it's super strong durable self-adhesive non abrasive anti slip and waterproof they also give you a coupon if you want to buy more of the grip tape so with this coupon you can save 40% and I like that they put coupons in the boxes I've actually used them in a previous box they put some coffee in there this camp fire blamed the coffee this made by the queen bee coffee company down in South Georgia and it's actually really good coffee and so when I ran out of the bag that was in the Box I ordered another bag and I was able to use the coupon to get like a 20% discount or something like that so yeah it's always good we may have coupons in the box along with whatever item they give you this next item is something that I really like and it's kind of weird because prior to getting this battle box I actually had one of these in my Amazon shopping cart but I hadn't bought it yet and this is a propane bottle refill adapter so this is an adapter that lets he refill those coleman propane bottles you can see a picture of one right there and I'd always wanted to have one of these and like I said I had one in my Amazon cart ready to buy and then this showed up in my battle box very cool hey lastly we've got the knife of the month this is a Williamson knife it's the red e9 d2 steel g10 handles we've got a little velcro sticker in there with it on my backpack and then here's the knife itself [Music] very cool has a nice feel in the hand got a good weight again it's d2 steel and that's the ready Williamson ready to eat you can see right there - it also comes with another belt clip and what I'm gonna do is actually remove this one and installed on the other side because I'm left-handed yeah pretty cool the Williamson ready it's got this release right here rather than having a lock right here it's got the release right there I bet [Music] pretty cool all right so there at all ways this has been missions 63 of battle box
