it was a couple there's a guy named something Manoa he always does that like Boeing got his name in the nua brothers oh yeah they anyway brother that's the anyway brothers a so those dumb brothers back there called anyway brothers and they were in Asian American actually the other Asian America not from Japan but they were they were like probably your weight class now a little heavier there yeah but um there's a who's that okay there's a lightweight Shinji Singhji ioki oh yeah yeah it's kind of small and pudgy yeah yeah I don't know he's a skinny guy skinny he's a lightweight oh maybe he was just fighting this guy he he always were like bright-colored like like the crazy flying triangles my arm boys wish you would grab you bring you on the ground here get you up some kind of lock yeah I've almost forgot that dude yeah he was in what's the other organization other than you have see there I'm back in those days no no Sochi entrances old-school to the other Association now it's like risen or rise or no no it's the other one it's Bellator he was dude he was like a million thoughts I'm not either but I know that he was the champion of Bellator at one time okay and then who's that there there's a kid Eddie Alvarez beat the crap out of ya so you went so tell us is this your first UFC card that you physically went to so it was my very very first UFC I've ever been to and I ever been to like basketball games or football games or anything like that no dude okay so if you've ever gone to a regular sports game yeah like the energy that you feel it's like okay cool one point two points when it gets to that buzzer beater like a hundred points versus one-on-one you got 10 seconds left what does the team do and everyone is on their feet and you could just feel this electricity in the air you feel it in the skating you feel it but it's bad energy times 10 the whole way through feeling yeah even with fighters you don't know just because someone is getting their ass beat in front of you so it's like I was just like I've been to NBA games Clippers games I've been to his hockey game and the amount of energy that I felt there I was like [ __ ] this is growing I went with me David my buddy style mind from Sacramento NGO well what so kind of seats did you guys have oh man so we uh we went through a pretty cool like ticketing app company I was like a brand deal and they put us ten rows away from the front and I saw Fabricio Werdum like their DC right death row yeah we were close you were in the mix dude yeah yeah yeah you didn't have to perhaps you don't know what Josh Duhamel is the actor no show me a picture you could use things like a random look I'm about I'd love his face if I know I know yes so there's celebrities things he was like two rows up in front of me like we got celeb seats which is awesome well you're a celeb - I was the other job rockin but his acting was - in the zone that didn't know he was there he was two rows right in front you see Joe I saw Joe Rogan I thought DC I saw Rose nominee Nunez a huge world yeah I saw cowboy Cerrone Oh a huge cowboy yeah yeah I loved everyone everyone just walking around it was huge I used to collect pride when I worked at amoeba yeah I used to collect pride DVDs man what I liked them somewhere around here in the bin yeah I'd have a couple money you think oh no okay but wait what do you mean right so you were there for the hundred cards yeah so now I mean UFC's so big now dude so they got like they got the pay-per-view rights the main like four or five fights then you got the prelims and then now they got like the pre prelims mm-hmm so the fights actually start on three that early yes and we didn't want to like get all when halfway we went on around 5:00 and watched about three prelims and what was cool as my my coach two of his teammates fought on the prelims and you're connected like that it's cool that like they're at that level because there's a lot of local more high schools where like they don't really have a connection to the top explain to the viewers what my time so my tie is Thai kickboxing and you got knees elbows you kick primarily with the shin there's like punches and so it's pretty much like a striking sport although there's throws and sweeps and so on and stuff like that and my coach I explain what a sweep is what is this sweep isn't like someone's like standing and you like going ha ha and you make them fall on the ground so I guess it would be like like let's say if we're in like the fighting stance and they're like somehow I clinched up with him somehow yeah and I can like put my foot outside here my homie Eric Oh Eric okay I'm just doing like choking me no he's he's going up to welterweight do you know who I'm gonna fight oh you're fighting oh well this before we're gonna get in all that okay well you you hold up you are is gonna be funny though but who you fighting uh so the former I believe strong a UFC champion uh Carla Esparza girl yeah I know who that is she'd be rose before yeah oh she's gonna kick my ass cupcake cuz she's also in the same team as my coach Ron schools day so they're all team Aoyama and I just thought it'd be a such a funny video where I fight a girl you're gonna try I mean is this a real fight I mean I'm gonna I'm not gonna try to go as like my life depended on it but I think it'd be dealt to show like how good girls might in my girls are so fun okay I know a lot about her yeah I'm just letting you know get ready to sprawl he's gonna shoot I mean she's gonna shoot on you though even strike with you okay I know her oh you do I don't know her I know her fighting style joka I don't know her no but I know what she's about like how she likes to move she's just go so she'll try to do a double like the whole time no no no you you can so maybe I can yeah maybe but man it's gonna be fine even well you can't sleep on girls girls will kick you guys it's a lot smaller than you dude she's a hundred and twenty-five 115 pounds true right yeah okay so you could just maybe yeah but she trains enough technique to find partners applied dudes so she's my weight just don't let her take you down cuz if she takes you down she knows all that jujitsu stuff I feel out me get taken down the first five seconds now he's gonna be screaming the whole day what's this fight man yeah we have a shot it yet oh I think I'm gonna shoot in the next week or two can we can we go watch maybe okay okay okay yeah I would love to be there I might get stage fright no you may cancel and cancel stuff though she is tough everyone's yeah yeah yeah but you wanna yeah she messed her up she fell you wanna yeah dude you wanna yes I mean she couldn't take you on it down you wanted a piece and you wanna was just lighting her up on yours great that's try combos do you see that fight so you don't know you know your thing do you stuff - yeah you're bigger UFC Fan tonight know that today let's go okay so what was the most exciting fight that night huh the most exciting fight oh man the one I would have to say Demetrius Johnson versus Henry cejudo so who don't Olympic wrestling brother yeah yeah so I don't represent dude he lived in Arizona oh yeah yeah yeah I didn't really know much about him I just know dimitra's Johnson's and he's a badass and I think the first three rounds dimitra's Johnson like he was dictating the pace not like by damage but his fart works going from Orthodox to southpaw and him being able to come in and out in close distance that will that's flyweight yeah 120 so flyweight 125 pounds oh yeah I think it is yeah yeah yeah he was he was landing some pretty good shots but I think after round three so who'd really turn it up and he just got his timing down and he was just start taking him down I will there's a thing I saw online though where something major happened that you didn't bring up Henry rolled his leg yeah well this ankle yeah she was so crazy in the first round or two you could see him go like this and then yeah like his ankle completely rolled now like a ball yeah so he had a keep that in mind yeah his his foots messed up right did you know about this I saw the replay saw the highlights yeah because I didn't see the match but I saw the highlights in and imagine like what what kind of mental attitude yeah you would need to overcome that that's what most people don't know is that a lot of fighters come in injured I think yeah most fighters that's what koko-san yeah yes fighters aren't at 100% like you if you're trained in the right way and you're training hard unfortunately there's just mishaps or whatever and so most people are coming and dealing with something or another so that could just be like an injury manifesting itself again do you think that fighters do you think marijuana should be legalized with fighters in the UFC just to cuz you know that could help out yeah I don't know I really don't know what you know my ideas brothers yeah that's like they probably you know pry clears your heads yeah in it the props with injuries right inflammation or something I actually think because I think it's really hard to catch drugs yeah in general uh-huh you might as well just make it all legal yeah and then people can just take whatever they want and you don't have to spend all this energy and effort I'm trying to catch people right five days I forgot what I was talking to but I knew someone that knew someone that fought in Pride and they were telling me in the contracts at the end they literally say like we will not test you for anything in the practice yeah so we're not implying get as [ __ ] jacked as you want and that's what like the Wanderlei Silva that's the other guy I'm from the Shogun who over there when they come they lose like 20 pounds when they cross into the UFC who's the big guy the african-america I got from the Netherlands uh Alistair overly from those days - yeah those guys were so Jasmine killin it back then do ya yeah do you remember there's a lot that Sakuraba was doing before cuz dudes are doing it now yeah it's called the Kimura yeah what's at the arm yeah yeah yeah but do you know what that lock is used to do it on his feet though dude he'd give up his back right yeah and then I called ugly he so give me up so give me take my back take my back so you got my back yeah he would grab over here yeah and then grab his wrist and go like that on his feet go so so Sakuraba was known in prior to use the one of the innovators I'm not probably not in the whole jiu-jitsu spectrum yeah but in those days yeah I'd never see traveling in general he took out what are the Gracie Gracie like Three Graces like you've literally give it cuz what's one thing you don't do in that game you don't do you never do you just literally give him his back and he would literally do this crick heart wait and then he'll cartwheel with it damn it looked like a breakdancing mover so that's crazy yeah yeah yeah so he gotta either I think not he didn't fight Hickson it was a hen's Oh Gracie you got hens Oh Gracie do you four have you seen that fight so he got hands Oh Gracie in that dude there like it was close and then he got him in there and it was game over - yeah he literally just kept that lock in and he dis look you gotta watch this fight his this joint out the bone goes out oh my god so if you if you look on like dude it's hard to watch you could see the bone like sticking out you ever see this fight man so look up hens Oh Gracie yeah yeah back in plants got great that you could just backlog yes the classics did you like the old-school rounds where it was like 10 or 12 minutes for the first round and then if you needed a second one that'd be like three minutes or something yeah or unlimited like time until someone gives up yeah that [ __ ] was crazy wasn't it it's changed a lot huh yeah so what do you do you like the way UFC cuz you went to an event do you like there do you what do you think about their judging and um that part I don't know I dunno like a lot fighters are actually like unsatisfied with their judging for me and B being at that event I was just in awe like when when I was walking through the hallway just buying snacks to get ready to go to lesson which were like a hotdog or like nachos or so I bought McDonald's for like three people and it turned out to be like 80 bucks expensive dude like but cheapest thing was like 11 dollars yeah and then do you see Dana White walking around to him I saw Dana White I saw there no it was crazy I gotta go to one you have to be a fan I'm going to McGregor vs. khabib let's talk about that after - yeah I'm gonna go to the vet well can we go to Dillashaw yeah so what like tell me what that was like watching it so that one I've always been a code Eagar Brandt fan mm-hmm so I really wanted him to win but just even from the last fight it just is the last difference one thing yeah yeah it just felt like Dillashaw like kind of knew him on the package yeah this blueprint you know knew he dropped his hand I was like man I think he has his blueprint and I'm I hope he trains hard not don't I know Dillashaw is really hungry hmm and so I was rooting for no love but man when they came out pretty much knocked him out the exact same way I think as the last fight which is a right hook over over Cody's hand he has a tendency of dropping his left yeah that's what they I saw on the previous like three times and he was just out and he added Annie did you think that tiny yeah even got that knee and did you see that knee that he landed yeah Oh what's what is that due to one's career that's twice now 135 at 135 yeah what does Cody I was it like do you have to work from the from the bottom of the cell cause he beat like who people thought were unbeatable Dominick Cruz yeah so he beat him a fan of his yes he's a hot huge deal right but he didn't get a chance to cement his legacy yeah I do feel like killed like five other dudes you know loses twice it's like people will still think he'll come back but this might be really hard to come back from I hope he does but that must just shatter one soul yeah like cuz you know he needed that wind ooh yeah that's to an O or he might just need a take a break go train with some other people I different perspective because that's what do I do a shot did that remember who do you go with uh doing Ludwig Ludwig yeah yeah yeah laughter um what does the California Kid come out from now yeah and to go to a Ludwig yeah in Colorado or something and that's what GSB does what does he do train like all the time like offseason he'll just go who's the best at BJJ who's the best at box he was the best Muay Thai and he just so I think he constantly has a new perspective and then for Ross is his like head coach and helps them put it all together yeah yeah yeah yeah but I think like in order to get better you can't constantly just like like if you and me only brainstorm the same ideas we're gonna reach a plateau we got to get ideas from outside and bring it back yeah yeah I'm gonna say this now I mean this is my prediction there's a kid a lot of people don't know about him maybe you know about them but I know through wrestling and he's in Bellator he goes by the name of Aaron picot mononym there is this kid I know I'm known about this kid he used to wrestle for a California LA school called st. John's Bosco oh he's a phenom it was that Anna Downey's always yeah maybe I don't know I know better than I do but this kid he was so good at wrestling he he didn't even wrestle in high school he won the state like his freshman year and then he just wrestled Olympic the Olympic trial like wow so this is the thing I knew back then I was like studying in my okay what you know Cody was like that though he only wrestled two years and then he got really into boxing so he's like you know what I don't even want to wrestle anymore and uh his senior year I think he's still won the state championship and then he got like a d1 scholarship even though he ran wrestle like his left the next two years and he won the state championship his freshman you know what state California I don't know not California uh that's the Midwest Ohio Ohio that's a tough one yeah all those schools Ohio Iowa those guys are tough resume states so it's not what I want to talk about wrestling to this is less like year round yeah Pennsylvania's up there too though yeah Pennsylvania but Aaron there's something about this Pico kid there's something right I'm saying this now my prediction man I'm just saying this and may it may or may not come true once he gets into the UFC cuz he's got to deal with Bellator I think it's ooh they got trouble on their hands I want that 135 or 125 or whatever he decides to go yeah this kid is very tiny he lost his first fight yeah but his other fights use just phenomenal wins right you know Bob air pika yeah yeah so you wrestled a little bit I wrestle oh so when did you start wrestling so I wrestled my so this is funny I spent five years in high school mm-hmm high school so I was a really bad kid I always got kicked out of schools and all that what's at Cerritos high school you troublemaker I was a troublemaker hey I'm went to Cerritos high school I got kicked out of there halfway through my sophomore year and then I had a cousin he's a fob and he was just killing it like captain of the badminton team he was taking like hella AP classes and my dad's like why don't you be like yeah well I should be like can't watch him move in with me my parents are divorced yes I want you to move like five cities over live over here I'll see if her cousin wants to move in and you can learn from him maybe he'll like rub off on you like you know I like my I haven't really done much with my life and like I'm not innately like a bad kid I just feel like I haven't found my being yet yeah sounds like [ __ ] let's do it so I went to a junior year I went to more Keppel high school is that him on a rougher one so I was I thought I was a thug in Cerritos yeah and then when I went here and I meet people that been shooting people since they were 10 I'm like these are some real thugs like like play play over there that make you feel like well you're scared it like what do you like intimidation okay this sounds like these guys are real like yeah yeah yeah people that are like walk up to people and broad daylight and blast them or like Cambodian refugees and like Vietnamese refugees I'm like these guys like grandma shooters are on a different level like they're [ __ ] crazy explain explain what that is grandma shooter is a person that's willing to shoot a grandma ha so you so usually like you there's like street code right and when you're when you're playing when you're playing my normal rules like let's say another another game blast at your game you of course you don't know the tally so you trying to find out where they are and you try to blast them and usually you there's this code of like you don't really bring like other people into the mix you leave girlfriend's out you know all those things but when you're dealing with people that come from war-torn countries so there's like a lot of Vietnamese gangs great thing is your [ __ ] crystal if they go to your house instead of like seeing you on the front lawn and driving and shooting hopefully they hit you they'll walk up to your front door ding dong hey is this guy home oh it's not who are you I'm the grandma boom doctor [ __ ] crazy so when I started meeting people like this so you met up just on the fly the whole schools filled with people like that Cerritos in Cerritos grew up in Cerritos other school okay mark apples in Alhambra borderland Monterey Park but he had also remembers us back in 1980s 1999-2000 so it's a different yeah growing up in Cerritos I really like Cerritos because it was like a big melting pot there was as many black guys as white guys as Asians as Latinos as Indian whatever right and so and it was very like it was very stereotypical like the skater guys they all wore like bands they oops jocks were letterman jacket the thugs were like big Dickies watch it clicks like real click like the Warriors like yeah so you can see you can see like the studious skater all this dude's a b-boy oh they're breakdancing cruised oh yeah yeah yeah I when I went to Marquette ball mm-hmm everyone is wearing big-ass Dickies with cortezes and chucks and I'm like wait this whole schools like that and I see this guy one like a football jersey and he's had like slicked back hair all it to the back and then I was just I thought he was immediately like he was in a gang too and I started talking to him and I found out he played tuba for the band so I'm like this this school is so gangster that even the tuba player yeah like you could take the geekiest kid from this school take them back to Cerritos and keep Iran [ __ ] oh yeah how long do you last at that school dude well I started having my meeting friends and not everyone's violent or whatever but it's just the gate like just kind of like you even if you go to South Central right which is heavily cane infested yeah not everyone's into gangs everyone just knows this is the environment but not everyone is there yeah you know so same thing so when I went there like I I met this friend and she just became a cool friend I started at a meeting all of her friends and stuff but I already knew I was like this gang [ __ ] isn't for me because I'm just willing a fight maybe stab someone if I need to I I thought about what I ever shoot someone on my last pie not me yeah but these guys have no problem like shooting a teacher like shooting like at my first dance there yeah a four-runner rolls up and starts blasting at the teacher and the teachers have to like go and duck and I'm like this is a school at the end I'm like this is some [ __ ] crazy [ __ ] so I'm like I'm mad I'm at a different school yeah do they try to recruit you in any way like cuz I think is you you I mean you're big now but also that 130 though 135 so you weren't that small you want that big right you know she's like I was just a middle yeah yeah yeah yeah but they didn't try to recruit you no I don't think so I think all those kids like they all grew up together so they've you know went to junior high elementary school too so I'm just like this new kid yeah yeah how do you meet Joe that one no funny as we went to the same high school yeah but there's so many Asians there that not all Asians know each other versus any other school but all where the fights same five Asians yeah yeah it was probably like sixty percent Asian and the other 40% is like Latino so I didn't even know Joe yeah yeah I didn't even know no you met him later yeah I met him later at the mm-hm that we went to oh yeah this is crazy grandmother shooters that just never heard that so I have to kind of like had a best friend at the time and this guy he would like do K my ketamine in the middle of class he would overdose I'd be like carrying him on my back like dragging him from class to class like yeah it was wild dude like people were just I think like when you come from a different country and you have like eight family members living in a one-bedroom house that's okay that's how the cambodian games rolled yeah your mindset is just on and I need to go hang out at his house and you would want me to come and hang on a sleepover at a time like all the time in one room like this your grandma needs to stay on the couch your uncle needs to like stay like where do you want to sleep but they're tight like yeah so they took you in I mean yeah yeah any tattoos the tattoos you have no too old tech nothing to do with any other games yeah yeah good for you man okay even like the [ __ ] tuba player is kind of thug in like yeah I better like figure out my own lane here you know well I like when you're in that environment like what's what kind of outlets do you have as a kid like what were you doing to get away from all that for the kids there I don't really know if they have any cuz a lot of them I think they live in a bubble and I would ask him like what do you guys want to do and they're like oh man probably a dull school become a mechanic or whatever yeah because their their dreams are so limited by their environment but for me like coming from a different part of town so you have both sides of the tracks yeah like I knew that if I applied myself I could always go to like a good college and from there that would open up doors to a bunch of other things yeah so my mind wasn't limited to what those guys were what's a graduation rate there at that school [ __ ] I don't even know like my Cerritos high school I remember they told me it's in order to graduate you have to have algebra to add more Keppel you only need Algebra one and I already took Algebra one like as in seventh or eighth degree that's like eight nine early 8th grade math graduate on my desk [ __ ] crazy dude Wow yeah so so you graduated from that school so I barely graduated so what happened so I went through my junior year and I got really into raving or maybe that was an itch I found I'm not a gangster so let's have love and drop ecstasy I went raving like crazy like almost every other day yeah the homies got in the jungle yeah and as I went into raving and I think after that year I still didn't really amount to anything and since I'm the only child I think my parents always like put a lot of thought into me yeah so my mom was like hey like you want to go try another school and she brought up like a couple of military schools to kind of put me in shape so I end up going to Army Navy Academy in Carlsbad which is like right next yeah so I went down there and then over there you can't just start senior year yes you have like all these military traditions different world than where you're from yeah yeah I must have been trapped yeah I was I was just like you're like oh I could breathe now yeah cuz san diego's chill that's what I thought so I went there um and they were like okay you can't just start to senior year even though you have enough credits because you have to learn all the military traditions so most kids when they go there they have to repeat one year come on [ __ ] it I'll take my junior year over again mm-hmm and when I got there at the first day of orientation I found out that that was a school that was where all these parents would send their [ __ ] up kids to so immediately there's some troublemakers yeah there's like a dick measuring contest prepared it was almost like it was like Jail like oh why you coming where are you from oh and immediately there's like ten people from ten different gangs and I'm like oh [ __ ] this is gonna be like this so just trying to get away from that I was trying to yeah but a lot of the military school it's either really rich parents that send their kids there just not to do it so they want to deal with this fuck-ups from other places and they're tired of like all the other things they send their kids there too so how did you how did you adapt to that so how I adapted was I started I became part of like the ecstasy dealing or a drug dealing wing there so I was like me and like a bunch of other dudes we started selling ecstasy rapes no just on the campus there's nothing to do so you'd sell it at school yeah we would sell that school and at night we would just go on each other's like little dorm rooms and we would like put the sub-woofer underneath the desk then we would just bunk trance and we would just all stick our heads in there try to like trip the [ __ ] out in there love that some of this [ __ ] is so like in criminal Ike we have [ __ ] vapor rub like all over our face like three dudes acting hella gay it's hilarious dude yeah you didn't have the sticks this is cool but we weren't raving yeah so you want to rage the scene egor LA in LA cuz that's where the good ones ruin right yeah well now and also in San Diego since it's a boarding school you can't really leave yeah you can't even tell like your parents come pick you know any water sports like surfing or body so I body board alibi yeah it's fun right yes so you go at Carlsbad or Del Mar yes or the schools actually on the on the beach oh so we just went down the stairs and the beaches that's fun right yeah do you like it better there that opposed to where the other school oh he goes a little more nicer though right it is nice it felt more like laid-back and calm yeah yeah yeah it's really cool so how long were you doing that for so because someone we actually got I actually got kicked out after like maybe three or four months again because one night I think there was like 12 of us we were all high as [ __ ] off we and ecstasy and all that and there was a 7-eleven down the street and since it was like 4:00 a.m. we're like maybe no one would catch us if we just went on like a drink and snack run run no just like Gatorade or whatever just like random stuff feeling I think we had intentions of buying I thought it was like like some kind of mission where ok I thought it was so mission yeah we're criminal yeah we were running and the principal of the school was just just so happen to be driving down I don't even know what he was doing that for I am and so he lined us yeah so he lined us all up we all got expelled and then so I went back to mark temple and the old high school not the original eyes about the old I said the tough one yeah by that time a lot of that so like I would say me and Joe got the loud half of like that game culture so by the time I came back it was like half of that gang feeling started to leave and now I was like party culture coming in if there's 90s late 90s now so now this is like 2002 2003 okay yeah so is it different what what's party culture like in a high school like what what does that even so just people would just like to drink more I have kicked back for the answers yeah like try to like sleep with each other and stuff they're not so much like banging on each other they're like yeah yeah yeah so we're the girls gangster too I knew some that were I knew like a girl she shaved her head just so she could be more gangster yeah so I met some girls like that you didn't eat gangster ass girls um I had I had one girlfriend yeah yeah yeah yeah she was caught selling drugs at Knott's Berry Farm so she had a probation officer so she was kind of so she was kind of gangster yeah she was on house arrest for a while mm-hmm yeah this is a random question because I just went to Six Flags Magic Mountain yeah what the they had a they have a rep of like it being gangster Six Flags yeah well people they're like the people that go there I've never been there okay yeah yeah it was fun just any gangsters no I feel like that whole thing died down those yeah this is the prize back in the day yeah I don't really see gangsters that much yeah did you date it did you date or go to the school dances or were you dating anyone in high school yeah I did a couple people I went to a couple school dances but by that time I was like super into like rave culture so yeah yeah simply Jeff cuz agent duty Capote in house music I think he was a DJ yeah yeah yeah but yeah there's crazy ones where you don't mean you all night and it's some warehouse or yeah you know mean Francisco is there's a carnival wheel on acid I lost my friends cause you would see the the girl having a bad trip on shrooms crying I'm gonna go to a DC on my bro I used to go to a DC when you would have to call a number of three I'll tell you half the direction because if so under route to call this random like pager or whatever and you know go get on the 405 go over here exit here and then that's it and then you would drive halfway and you laugh in like more directions at like 5 p.m. yeah and then you would finally go to some random field and all you would park all your cars and like it'd be this rave in the middle of nowhere yeah and you come back and like half of people's cars got broken into and stuff oh dang I'm like having raves at a legit venue like the Colosseum like that's a new thing raving it was like some CDs in Phoenix yeah it was the same type of thing where you have to let go to this location then they'll tell you oh you got to go here and then it's just some industrial yeah area or oh I guess it's here yeah did you did you trip on LSD or I never did LSD like I was always so scared cuz I like a good imagination yeah I think maybe I should have tried it you're more ecstasy but I took a [ __ ] tiny seeds what's the most you've taken out once maybe like maybe like seven at once like I would take like three or four I would take like three or four you're on because my elements was so like my tongues got so high if I took just one it would just feel like I was wearing a jacket like okay it's kind of warm right now you know so I'm gonna take like three or four and take another two or three and then maybe another two or like one more okay at the end of the night if I want a party for like four hours or so you ever meet girls so what under that state like at a random rave a couple of girls like that yeah yeah you're not making out all night yeah but who the [ __ ] are you yeah I didn't remember I got here you guys who used to go to the raves - or what you already what you went through that mm-hmm hey what are you good you got a random how about let let these guys get involved you got a random question for Bart on this tip or what at the time yeah at the time the rain go away rain gauges good question short um so back then I started getting into like super high energy house I think it's called hard house at the time there is this yeah there was like this DJ thing called like Rachel Auburn and then like Lisa lashes these are like all your old guys I would say American you remember do name richard Humpty vision I don't really know I don't know sister Jeff Richard hump division alright oh yeah and there's a guy named a local guy named feel okay it's pretty cool who else and then there's like the the ones that like are still classics like Tiesto like yeah yeah are you still doing it they are yeah so probably making money yeah those guys they got a name man they're good at [ __ ] you up if you're on drugs Oh with their music yeah I remember like idd see like Tiesto was playing uh this one song with somebody you know like when you're on ecstasy like some if the girl likes it sings hi you just feel all crazy like you like get all these like these pumps yeah like she was he was playing some song I think it's called um delirium remember that song I love this no I don't know flashbacks but he was playing this song and I remember like everyone was like grabbing the grass off the floor because they felt so crazy oh my that crazy that music could do that too yeah like well the drugs helped out a lot like your ball was like vacuuming the house did you did you so when did you meet Joe did Joe used to go to these events with you to you not with me yeah yeah that's on though he went to raves - yeah I'm sure did he talk about that maybe did he I don't remember he so he went - yeah I'm pretty sure if we trace back our friends if I have enough brain cells to remember what my friends were I'm pretty sure we probably had mutual friends somehow yeah cuz everyone kind of knew each other you know yeah so a lot of Asians got in that scene a lot a lot what is it what do you think what what are the reasons for gravitating you think towards it I don't know this is just the music it can't just be the music the Honda Civics and the subwoofers is something about that whole thing I don't know yeah when did you get out of that so my senior year mm-hmm my which is my fifth year in high school that's when I was like what am I doing with my life your parents were getting on you huh a little bit yeah and also you're just starting to get older you know I'm about to be like 18 I'm just like what am I doing with my life like what what's for me after this mm-hmm and I actually joined ASB my senior year oh my god I make some changes around here sushi associated student body yeah I gotta [ __ ] raise some funds paint some parking lot I gotta do something you got yeah I got more involved in school at the tough school yeah yeah okay there's also change in Philly yeah yeah and then and then I think halfway through my senior year and I was like you know what maybe I should just join the military cuz I'm up until this point there it is yeah yeah yeah graduated I didn't go to my six for graduation or eighth-grade promotion or anything I'm like the older child my my parents probably yeah I have a [ __ ] on there yeah so what do you army Marines when it's Marines yeah so I got I got I gotta choose something so that and graduate some sort of ceremony so my parents are like oh cool like yeah our only kid isn't a straight [ __ ] you know so did you do that yeah so I joined the Marines and I was I'm gonna do the reserves so I can like go to college and do all that stuff that must have been tough dude yeah it was pretty tough like this we know just a typical day like just during the bootcamp or like like I tell them how hard it is okay so typical I think the biggest thing of bootcamp is you learn how much you take for granted so the fact that you get to even open your eyes and get out of bed like a leisurely pace like at noon or even at 9:00 that's like that's Alicia typical day okay so typical day is like this probably 4:35 a.m. mm-hmm lights turn on that's when I go to sleep dude oh [ __ ] yeah that's how the drill instructors would start running up and down scream get the [ __ ] up or get the [ __ ] up so you're abruptly awakened what how do you go sleep you probably go to sleep at like 10:00 or 11:00 okay and then everyone gets up out of bed you line up and this happens within seconds like you don't have time to [ __ ] around if you're like crawling out of bed he's gonna come and grab you and yank you out of bed like you gotta come out of bed immediately get that attention you're standing on your bedpost you have sex like you got a from opening your eyes you're not trying to shake it off and no you gotta be out of tension ready to rock and roll so you're standing out here what if you're dreaming oh there's people with [ __ ] morning what's standing there oh my god do you got it you can't be [ __ ] honest yeah yeah yeah so you stand up you got a boner you have to do you just you gotta be ready for what's that yeah something like that and then so you are so everyone's and don't play game sometimes oh you guys wanna move slow everyone get the [ __ ] back in their backs right now so everyone's jumping right back in the racks and let me get the facts which is another name for bad yeah okay so you have people come with jumping into the pipette coming out jumping into the bunk bed sore and everything is games I need to write that down that's a good one racks equals bed so everything they play games all day meaning like they make everything way more convoluted there needs to be so you come out every rack and your underwear and your t-shirt so okay everyone tighty whities yeah okay so the everyone party left boo right now so you put it on and they'll all get tired left boot right now so everyone's time like that's like frantic right take off right now but your right boot on right now put on your trousers right now take it off right now so you're like just by doing that you're already sweating your balls off because you're just moving so fast and they'll put it in orders that don't make sense so they'll tell you to like let's say put your boots on then put your pants on and then maybe put another pair of underwear on so you're trying to like squeeze that [ __ ] on and you're doing you're playing these games for maybe like 10 minutes and then everyone rush to the head which is the naval term for the bathroom rush to the head yeah so everyone what do you kind of gnarly [ __ ] oh you got to hold it or [ __ ] sharing yourself you have to poo on yourself you have to have you seen that well you actually have to ask permission to poo I've seen people pee and pull on themselves you have you have to so they have a lot of times for you this shorts this is crazy so you have a lot of times use restroom uh-huh if you want to use a restroom outside of a lot of times you have to ask for permission and sometimes you'll go this recruit request permission is that sort of like get the [ __ ] away from you got a hold a little bit longer now you've seen who this will put on themselves yeah all the time you'll see sometimes standing at attention and they let you down and you're like why is there a [ __ ] stream of liquid just coming out of their boot and they're peeing on themselves then they start marching away and you just see like this wet footprint what about the poo Oh poo you just know yeah yeah yeah so evil rushes to the head you have to prep your body not to poo like you know I'm saying it yeah that's a machine yeah yeah yeah yeah and then when you go to the head which is the bathroom there's probably like 20 urinals and maybe ten toilets but you got 90 dudes - how do you work that out so they go now you have 60 seconds and they count this fast so now you have people shading as hard as fast as they can but you don't have enough space so another guy is peeing between their legs and it's 3-2 a urinal no because if you want to [ __ ] around they're gonna come and grab you and pull you out the toilet slam you against the wall and don't beat your ass so yeah so yeah 60 seconds tell you man sometimes you can't control your poo like that they'll pull you off you know how much I've spent an hour on my um the toilet yeah they'll pull you off you know I'm watching youtube videos no you got sixty squeeze more time and this guy's pissin in between yeah and he got three two a urinal okay tell me more and then happens after this is the beginning of the day this began the day so this might might be like we went through all of that might be like 5:00 5:30 now so now it's time for breakfast and then you pretty much you never you never go anywhere on your own you always go in a group yeah and if you're going in a group you're there's only two ways you're going either you're marching or you're sprinting so we're probably sprinting to breakfast so you sprint there then you just stand there and you wait for your platoons turn what's the typical breakfast where they serve you I like Hometown Buffet you walk through and then when you're eating you got about like five minutes to scarf it down wait wait wait wait you have five minutes to eat yeah and if you eat slowly oh you don't want to [ __ ] eat you're not hungry don't take your food like smack you with the tray pour the chocolate milk all over you and then throw you out so you gotta you got to move fast you can't be [ __ ] around you can't talk yeah talk about eating you're just the minute you sit down your feet liner if your feet leave a 45 degree angle and it starts [ __ ] around or shaking or whatever they're tossing your food to your feets out of 45 and you're just eating and your eyes better be here the minute your eyes look up and look around you're [ __ ] you let me ask you guys can you eat any meal under five minutes or five minutes or you know if you're in that situation you can you can a lot of the things that you think have to be a certain way it doesn't have to program your brain yeah yeah to like accept the most minimal conditions good luck you're going yeah this is crazy interesting to me yeah so you do that and yeah so this is just bracket the the way I'm already like astonished hook through the peeing through the lace with the tray yeah it's important chocolate milk in your face yes it's constant training like throughout you know yeah eating as you're training and then afterwards you come out and then I usually go to the pull-up bars and you do pull-ups or whatever do you have to do that's in the beginning I think you do like group pull-ups then at the end is they loosen up towards the end but it's up to you so you do some pull-ups and you get in formation and then you start going to classes so you learn about like Marine Corps history learn about war history like all kind of stuff but then you're sprinting to a class yeah and then and if you're in class and if you fall asleep someone will come and smack you in the back of your head so you don't really want to false because it hurts yeah yeah that's a couple times yeah so yeah you really want to fall asleep but you're tired as [ __ ] yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah so this is what the time are we looking at now no I might be new and then you go and you do like calisthenics already for me yeah I'm like I'm done I quit it's like constant training and running I would probably say you probably run like a good accumulated maybe five or six miles a day I would say thank you have you seen that movie full metal jacket yeah that reminds me of that it's it's harder than that though did Full Metal Jacket this family Cooper scene full minute it's harder than that much much harder than that alright tell me what happens so like the classes the reason why it's I think as the years went on people became more macho more aggressive and more creative yeah what their training or just in general for example one time we're in the field and we're training and uh I think there's this guy like he was just kind of goofy and so with drone structure I wanted to make fun of him so he would tell another drill instructor come over and he goes hey this recruit right here he knows a magic trick and then the like they just like cuz like it's almost like we're a bunch of kids and they're all so bored so they want to find a way to entertain themselves yeah and they're like watch this this recruit right here knows a magic trick and then the and then the other drill instructor well I don't [ __ ] believe it what's your magic trick and in the hill blade show me that magic trick where that sand magically appears in your mouth and the recruits like what the finer hunters before and I'm just sitting there eating my little MRE and you know say I'm re it's like those little meals regular yeah already okay cuz Rock training on the PA and you bite that magic trick I know you know how to [ __ ] do it and then he's like this is a cruise don't retire Michaels do a [ __ ] magic right now and that kid just freaked out and grabbed the sandiest threw in his mouth like that and he's not not you I mean you could hear him go like this and you can hear all the rock that's going in there in his teeth yeah and then those guys are just like they're covering their face like laughing cuz it's so funny I was laughing too well like that was pretty tough man there's like a lot of you yeah yeah yeah yeah it's like a fraternity kind of thing yeah a lot of hate but what's dope though it's like when you graduate they give you a lot of respect electors are like you [ __ ] made it and you're marine now and now is your time to go and be like a real remain out in the fleet or whatever are their nicknames for people like like a Full Metal Jacket you know there's gonna go Murr pile I don't want everyone had a what was your name they didn't really give me one but there's this dude that was really flamboyant they called him ferry his name was last thing was Perry so they called Perry ferry goes that's just the way he walk what's your name I don't know okay yeah so how long did this how long does this training in this process last is that like three months to boot camp is three and a half months like 14 weeks and then after that so like what's different about the Marine Corps is the war stuff is separate from boot camp so most boot camp is eight-week like army or Navy it's eight weeks yeah did you go do you get shipped anywhere like in the Middle East or anything since I was a reserve yeah I got really lucky well you go and I went to my unit that I ended up being attached to they already maxed out the number of times they can go to the Middle East oh so it looks like orders complete school and do all that stuff yeah yeah you dodged one man cuz that would have not been fun yeah all my other buddies I joined the Marines with they went at least once some of them went twice so you had a pretty good situation a you gotta put in with the core man so if you're in the reserves at the time you have to do six years that's what you did yeah it is six years yeah but you get benefits from that don't you uh why did you turn in while you're in after you afterwards I met some guy at Starbucks in the army he still gets checks from the from the government if you went to war yeah or if you're a human losses Lane yeah it's different it's different yeah yeah this is great dude good for you man this guy he did it man all right you're a marine dude you're a marine Vaughn thinks not even one could say that could you guys last night a lot of guys who could last out of these two in the body can with a little guys like me yeah in the Corps yeah no I'm talking 125 yeah there's some little badasses little guys yeah well it's not hard dude I've seen some guys like carry packs like literally their size and they're just like we're doing like these 10-mile like rooks and there yeah huffing and puffing and then they put in the work what are the benefits for a for joining the Corps if like someone out there seizes and let's say they're confused they're a what they can relate to your story and they're like you know what I want to join the corner what are some of the benefits so what I really liked about it is number one whatever you think you need or take for granted like you feel like you need a mattress or you need like you need a certain amount of sleep it really changes your values and helps you reassess your life and you actually don't really need much mm-hmm so I always tell Gio my hate for a homeless for homeless so like let's just that's always like you know you could survive also the longer that they can want to do yeah so I really like that and I also like the discipline and how much you're able to push yourself like everyone thinks they can we do this much but you could actually push yourself way more so that's what that taught me so if anyone out there is kind of like lost or doesn't know what they really want to do they don't know if schools for them I would say join the military and go to all the recruiting office and see which military branch fits you the best for me I knew it was a at first I was interested in the army so I went into the army recruiting station the way they talked to me was kind of like a used car salesman like you want to see the world and what this guy's cheese yummy this is what the Army's about I didn't want to join so I was okay I talked to him I got some information I went to talk to the Navy guy I was like okay cool they don't really seem very combative I was like that's cool when I went into the Marine Corps a recruiting station I walked in I was like hello hello no one was really there and I just kind of like knocked them on the wall mm-hmm and then this dude he crawls out from underneath his desk and he was like wiping the eye boogers off his face he had a little sleeping bag down there he goes oh you want to join the Marine Corps I'm like dude this is my home right here oh I just don't give a [ __ ] yeah but he looks like he said like if [ __ ] if [ __ ] goes down I feel like this guy is super down for a [ __ ] he's not to put up a front leave army yeah yeah I would say that's representative of the army he's just my experience so I was like I like this not like no [ __ ] the aaaa you think the Marine Marines are the toughest out of regular branches they are they are the longest boot camp in addition to boot camp before you go to your job schooling you have to go through another thing called MCT which is my combat training so it's another three weeks geez so like six that's seven weeks so there's a lot of stuff so it's like the longest training for any regular branch yeah but then if you go like Green Berets or Navy SEALs or like Air Force pair of jumpers those are parables are way different elite level I'm just I'm a regular branches Marines as an artist what was one last questions what was the most difficult part about doing the Marines completing it like if you yeah so there's this last portion daring so there's boot camp is in three phases mm-hmm phase one I think they just teach you like how to work as a group mm-hmm and then phase two you go into the field which is you go you leave you leave Marine Corps Recruiting Depot San Diego and you go to Camp Pendleton that's near San Diego yeah and you know how to shoot there and you learn all these like a mountain warfare type stuff yeah the last section of phase two there's this thing called a crucible and I believe it's this three-day training exercise where in three days you sleep I think a total of four hours you eat three meals and you cover 50 miles and maybe like 40 different obstacles yeah and then at the end of it there's this thing called the Reaper and it's like a really steep climb that was probably the hardest thing in boot camp cuz like you're and it admit you're amazed at how much you're able to accomplish this or is it a mountain or so yeah it's this thing that goes up like it's like imagine Runyon Canyon on crack and then it goes flat and then it goes up again and then it goes flat and by the time you get up there after the three days and the 50 miles and all that everyone's Bowl and the most toughest dudes there yeah cuz people can't people can't wrap their minds around what big of a feat they accomplished you know and for most people that's like the toughest thing they've ever done the whole yeah yeah so people are crying on to people that were beefing they're hugging now I can hate you all the phase one and phase two but let's hug it out it's a people to get it does yeah so if you guys want join the Marine Corps make it just make sure that you're ready for the reaper right yeah yeah and at the crucible I lift weights to get ready for the Marines just run cuz it's cardio it's a lot of cardio I made the mistake of like lifting a lot doing like curls and [ __ ] doesn't help you at all it doesn't know yet or worse you don't have to live just make sure you're on that treadmill and then you make your cardio gamma or you do CrossFit but yeah I do a lot of circuits and stuff wow dude I commend you for that stuff man is a way harder than wrestle it's harder than wrestling huh some parts of bootcampers are dressing but wrestling prepares you for it though we have wrestling helps most wrestlers that I meet they actually do really well in the military cuz I'll say wrestling's is what anyway it's one of the toughest sports yeah yeah the cutting wait do ya Wow dude this isn't I mean this fascinating huh I had no idea you put in that much I didn't know that you're in the Marines is that when you start getting into guns and stuff because I want to move on to that segment cuz I noticed when I was at JK you had your shirt off and you're like yeah but you're doing it like the way I was a little like observing I'm like oh here he was like setting up your set doing like some scenario where a guy comes in and you're like ready yeah yeah so there's that so when did you start getting it yeah and to God my think I've always been into guns but like I like the idea of guns mm-hmm but I didn't really get really familiar with a gun until boot camp because a boot camp you gotta like be able to disassemble assemble a weapon and under like 50 seconds and then like an assault rifle yes all right yeah yeah 15 yeah I'm gonna put that together mm-hmm and you get so familiar with it cuz like you when you're out in the field sleeping it's in your sleeping bag that you're sleeping with it yeah like you're you get really acquainted I can i memorize all the parts like all that kind of stuff so I got really familiar with guns and then when I came out I just got more into guns yeah and later it wasn't until reap but then I can really afford it you know they're pretty expensive they are huh so it wasn't until recently when I started buying more guns and then by being in the gun community I was able to take classes and start shooting competitions how many Goods do now oh man I got probably like my 20 or 30 of them all right 23 yeah why so many I think I'm just making up for all the last time I don't have any guns but it lets say someone wants to they could only choose one gun to have in their home yeah as protection yeah and that's it just to protect their family yeah what one get they had one choice what gun do you recommend if it was up to me I like a Glock 19 it's a it's a small little handgun you know a millimeter nine-millimeter and that's all you really need and you could put like what all those two have special the names of them like in January no it's like the one the ones that they call a point the hollow-point does a lot of points yeah cuz the most importantly it's it's maneuverable and if you shoot it's not gonna go through all the walls and kill your neighbor yeah and if you have to repair your house if something god forbid goes down the repair isn't like hard like a shotgun like someone comes in here and you blow em with the shotgun way that TV is gone that things on like all kinds of shits all [ __ ] yeah that's more control the only thing is you have to be more acquainted and trained for it for 9 million yeah I think anything you own you should be familiar with them but just like the way you're familiar with their phone yeah yeah everything is useless unless you're familiar with right ok if you can't get the Glock what's the second-best that's probably one of the most affordable guns out there it's like a 500 block yeah it's very reliable between that and a 38 Cal or something I mean you can probably get a Glock in the 38 cow I'm not sure sure but you could just Glocks they have their chamber didn't wait so many different rounds like 40 45 I just like 9 cuz you carry more ya carry more rounds and then if people are scared that it the round is too small then you get like the hollow points or whatever and then when it goes and I'll open up and they'll create a big wound Wow how easy is it for an American to just get a gun it all depends on the state oh it's different for every some states you go and you buy the gun and you take it home the same day and you could buy like a hundred ya know background checks some of them know California is really hard though California you got to go fill out paperwork they'd do a 10-day background check and then you got to come back with after 10 days but before 30 days yeah because if you wait more than 30 then you got to redo the whole thing again Wow so California's pretty hard yeah so do you have not only so do you have like a shotgun and like a rifle shotgun yeah so what's the buy what's the best shotgun that a person could get like what's the number one choice for a shot man shotgun I don't really know cuz that's not really my thing I just have a couple yeah what about what so you have a rifle then you have a couple a ours okay what so what are some of the best choice they're mine a brand I really like is Nowitzki no vest you're like they're considered like the Lamborghini of ARS some people okay where they were manufactured in your up there so no they're manufactured in the States okay could be even Oregon yeah well I that brand quality this is what people recommended yeah and then what people told me it's like it has some of the best fitment like when you feel the parts come together it's a heavy there's like very little wiggle room and really light it's a it's strong it's light and it fits well together there's a rattle yeah so I mean I've tried a lot of ARS and that's one of my favorite yeah cuz you know this gun the you know like the gun control thing it's like a huge topic just especially just South Asian area because you know that the point being is because all the school shootings you know that like what do you think about all the like as far as like yeah that stuff for me like number one first and foremost I do believe in government which means like if we all agree to not have guns I'm down with it like I'm not married to my guns but that's the problem where we can all say we agree and there's always a couple people hiding the couple yeah and it's so those guys that are hiding a couple are usually the bad guys so the laws don't even applied to them so if they don't apply to them and they're still committing crimes with guns and I just feel like then it's in the good guys best interest to have some to protect themselves just in case right yeah but I do I mean I wished it was a perfect world and we can all go hey guys let's have a giant nationwide meeting and we're all we're all gonna melt our guns right right everybody yeah yeah but unfortunately doesn't really work like that you know well if you look at the state of just you know Li like plea that the police department or you know or just if martial law happens yeah then what do you do then you know like the if the police are tending to something else and then his chaos happens and how you have to protect a family exactly that's what I mean that's the only way I would see it lot logical for me like if like I need to protect my yeah girl fan or my mom people are I think when people are voting or they're like voice in their opinion they're only up there they're only voicing it from their own personal perspective so someone might live in a good neighborhood and why would I ever need guns cops come in five minutes yeah but there's places in the hood where cops like I have a buddy that's a sheriff and there's places in the hood that he won't go unless there's three other patrol cars because it'll just get lit up the minute he goes and it's like some training day [ __ ] oh like if you go in just two cops in a car they're done it has a good movie I like that movie there's already places like that where there's like snipers on that mic good snipers on the roof thank us you got people there like people that I'll do like little bird calls and I'll blast cops that are coming in like there are some really deep places like that and what happens when what happens when cops are scared to go there what do you do and then there's also places in the country where there's like big-ass 800-pound thousand-pound moose that are just running through your living room yeah and the cops it takes them two hours to get to your place like what are you gonna do in a giant like wild animal so I don't think people consider everything hmm so I think people are just voting oh you know I don't think you need guns or whatever so for me I'm always I'm always about let's just make everything okay yeah and let people choose what they want to do so if you make guns completely okay then if you don't want guns you don't have to have it right just like cars like cars are completely legal and if you want to be the guy that just uber is everywhere go ahead right right I just your side yeah George you got a gun so what kind of what do you got what is that [Music] yeah yeah that's awesome hold up I need to leave a minute there this fools got an ak-47 what dad don't you think that's a bit much I mean dude does one need a ak-47 in today's 1:1 doesn't really anything you thing about one is even need a laptop right right you know it's not really you've got a gun all sick you know like it is it hard if you get the job to get a certain like permit to carry for work and if you get it can you wear it and me carry that gun in civilian clothes yeah so only when you're on watch trying to find Lou yes okay again that's why you have a kid now those like so as far as the growing up in a house full of God like you have to take precautions right a hundred percent so like what are what are you doing before so I plan to take the next step the first step I have all my guns in the safe good except for one and that's a home defense when were out that access it quickly John under your bed that one is in my nightstand right next to my bed just in case should happen the place where my safe is located if someone comes through the front door I have enough time to go and grab something yeah and like I have like two or three ready to go weapons in the safe that are just locked and loaded so I just have to open the safe and pull it out and I just start black someone okay the the one in my nightstand it's the magazine is outside of the gun yeah cuz I just don't want to be groggy and like sleepwalk one day and actually put it in a shoe yeah but now that my baby is tall enough to start opening drawers I probably have to get like some sort of like little gun vault so yeah accidentally put it in so I gotta be I gotta be responsible a schism and I want it I want I want to end it with that segment as far as like fatherhood yeah so how did you like to congratulations how do you I mean as far as raising a kid like about what's that like you know like man raising a kid is pretty crazy [Music] my my friend told told me in a way that I really hit home and he was like you're not gonna believe it we're not gonna know what to expect but when the baby comes out it's gonna be love at first sight and I was like okay I mean I guess I could see that and the minute the baby comes out that came out that day and he's ugly as [ __ ] like like all babies that just gray alien and I got [ __ ] on their face but I just fell in love and I just started tearing and I'm like oh my god most beautiful thing ever and then it's just like the craziest collab you could ever have with someone yeah yeah yeah cuz it's like you see the features of the other person and as the baby develops like Tycho's is about to be one years old right now yeah yeah yeah you can see he gets angry like me oh yeah I get angry that's just like me and then you can see him like walking around and like like he does certain things like Gio it's just my man is just so cool you can see like how both traits traits of me and shapes of Gio put into this new thing is its new entity it's it's crazy crazy yeah yeah like it must be a new adventure every day or something oh yeah yeah do you want it a boy huh the boy by a little bit I don't really care yeah but I just think like with what I know and that since I'm into like guy [ __ ] I'm getting more information I could pass on right right I was really happy Russell oh hundred percent if you want to be a UFC fighter let him be a UFC fighter right yeah I'm super for whatever is gonna make him happy and that's what he's gonna get fulfillment out of life yes so that would make the most proudest when he gets that age is like if you want yay I won join the wrestling team whatever he wants okay if you want I want to be in badminton or if I want yeah team whatever he wants luckily maybe she'll go ahead and ballerina go ahead he's gonna be he's gonna be a pretty big boy though huh he looks like it yeah yeah he's uh every time we take him to the pediatrician he's always in like the 90th percentile in terms of height and weight and head size dude he's he's good so he's always wearing like six months in advance so he'll have a gym when he gets yeah let's talk about that too you know cuz I want to promote the gym I wasn't looking at your fake watch barbell brigade is that the stark symbol yeah you just randomly wow I'm a fan of the show I saw Sean just stark and out in and out burger on the street yeah I was tripping did you call her bicycle no I was just tripping I was just like slow-motion I was like she came in she just got back from a football game was just some of her homies and I just you know I was waiting for my job like a felony no dude she was just there I was just like dude just ha she's Patong she looks tall on the show we talk she's pretty tall and I was tripping I was tripping in there yeah are you excited for a hundred percent yeah but the barbell brigade how'd you come up with a name and what made you want to open up the gym um so I did in my first powerlifting mean I think back in like 2012-2013 and I just fell in love at that time I did I signed up for randomly I didn't know how to train for anything I was just like man I've been lifting for like 10 years I wonder I kind of had that competitive bug you know wrestling and like even the Marines do do yeah so he's kind of had that I was like I wonder how I fare up with like some other lifters yeah so I just signed up for a power lifting meet and I fell in love with the sport you're like a buck 80 right a buck 75 at right now I'm about 185 my first meet I did at 165 and I fell in love with it and I came back to LA and I couldn't really find a gym mm-hmm and so me and geo we decided to open one and when we're thinking of names we have I wanted to call it hell at one point cuz I really like training a hardcore angio's I got a spy not a good marketing move I asked sure you might alien a lot of people yeah yeah and then event and then we go I'll voice like training as a group kind of like as as like a unit to motivate you know we liked the name Brigade he just felt cool like but let's brigade the ski yeah yeah yeah and then so our original name was Brigade a barbell Club and I like that word barbell club because that was like the old school powerlifting gyms in like the 70s and 80s were always something barbell clubs I wanted to like kind of pay homage to that but one time we're just eating and one of us said it wrong and we just said all you know about barbell Brigade and we're like oh [ __ ] that flows better than Bob I just became Barlow again we just took the barbell Clubhouse thank you so where'd the gyms located man it's located in Los Angeles yeah right outside of downtown ok at 6:46 Gibbon Street in Los Angeles check it out we're open from 5:00 a.m. to pretty much midnight money got a website yeah barbell brigade calm you can check out our apparel there you could check out our clothes yeah we're we're a gym and also a lifestyle apparel company so that's what's up got close yeah a jam we got all kinds of content yeah I need I think what do you recommend like for a little guy like can a little guy go there and start lifting we got some little guys are really strong really ya know just diet had a lot to do with it - I can I can okay what are the best students to eat while you're lift like I would say in the beginning just focus on one thing out of maybe chicken or some chicken breast that helps okay yeah yeah but I would say for most people to get overwhelmed the too much stuff yeah so just start lifting if you can get that down for a month and add the second layer and then the third layer cuz and if you give people too much stuff they're like it's easy to get burnt out yeah get your butt in the gym and then even if you spend ten minutes each time just do that build that habit and yeah slowly tear for your looks strong dude do you look really strong yeah do you got the apps go into a little bit oh how does one get how does one get apps so abs it's you gotta build a muscle well the app so it comes out yeah you have to lower your body fat so it shows how do you lower body fat how do you how do you lower it how do you also if you want to get really scientific oh yeah yeah you want to be on a caloric deficit so in Oracle or if that just means that you're burning more calories and you're taking in yeah and through that you slowly burn the fat mm-hmm and then uh and eventually your body fat percentage start slowing I'll be like 25 percent to 22 percent 20 percent like that so you just intermittent fasting help there's a bunch of different diets cuz I've been doing that every Sunday and they they're 24 hours I thought that's cool yeah they are they they all work it just you just gotta find the one that's easy for you to adhere to okay yeah so there's no like solution to it I'd say everyone has their own like process or the technics of doing it yeah and some diets work better for other people yeah just because some of those all keto works great for me doesn't mean it works great for someone else yeah yeah yeah people are a carb sensitive differently people are fat sensitive different yeah yeah he's got to find that dye that works for you are you are you thinking about like is your training mode mote I would you ever compete in motor I really want to I want to do like one amateur fight I really want to do it dude you know you could do it yeah okay would you cut weight would you cut down or what do you find out you cut down a little bit ha ha ha would you cut maybe like 170 175 ok yeah just cuz my car deals not really my strong suit last a little longer cardio at the gym my cardio add bees is is just like the shadowboxing and back stuff I don't really like go run or anything like that yeah yeah even ask you about that JK like we didn't I'm gonna bring up Jay King to that party but let's just one like let's talk about Jay King a little bit man okay so do you who are the oh geez of it though are though jeez technically just me and Joe and then how'd you meet you in the next oh geez would be at geo and Casey then how'd you meet Joe just briefly how did you meet Joe and then would you decide to do Jason I met Joe at our MMA gym probably like 2005 or something like that mm-hmm and you know MMA is like a pretty serious sport and at that time me and Joe are the only ones [ __ ] around and they're always like cracking jokes and so we just realized we had kind of had like the funny bone yeah they're funny skits the summer that we're gonna transfer to a four-year university from Community College we didn't have anything to do mm-hmm so we decided to just shoot random videos for fun and make our friends laugh we didn't know that YouTube was like a public theme we thought it was just for your friends yeah we thought I was like MySpace Oh a video oh oh let's upload a funny video and send it to this guy make sure your intention was just to make your friends laugh yeah so it record stupid [ __ ] and you put it on there and then other people striking a hold of it and they're like oh [ __ ] this is pretty fighting a Korean guy no yeah that was funny the time we knew we had an audience just do it on flied yeah point on well I always should probably MUP and make this like a legit thing so did you notice like the numbers like the views getting like woah this is kind of getting viral here yeah cuz it before it'd be like 50 views and we're okay that's our friends yeah and then I remember the one time it was like 200 views and were like we don't even have 200 yeah yeah yeah yeah it's 800 views yeah it was a gradual process yeah we're like we're [ __ ] viral at a thousand Wow look where it's at now yeah yeah you guys are like your own entity you know so I mean it's you know it's inspiring because it'll show the underdog that you can you don't need these big net where you could do it on your own man you can right so on the next segment I want you to focus on we can maybe talk about that and how to like that whole process of something you like to where you're at now you know yeah I haven't been to your other building I've only been to the one oh yeah yeah yeah yeah big you have a headquarters now yeah yeah yeah that's our big one you guys are getting in a film and all these are - we just finished writing our second movie oh you hate so yeah these now yes we're trying that's I think that's kind of like oh we wanted to do so yeah so it's like you never know what could happen man yeah you never know good for you man so let's start plugging I want to plug we'd good on time yep we're good on time it's Ozzy's buy cuz he is so let's can we plug your your Instagram and your Facebook and okay so what's the JK just kidding News audio podcast is available on iTunes there's probably gonna be
