Barndominium Tour - 1200 sq ft - 2 Bedroom - 2 bath Barndominium

[Music] hey guys welcome back to the marndo channel we are here in hawsville texas today really close to our home offices here in hausville and we're going to take you through a finished tour of a two bedroom two full bath barn dominion that we have here it's about 1200 square foot you can see it here behind me we've got charcoal gray as our exterior color with black trim we've got really awesome looking windows here we've got black windows with black trim with grids in those windows and we also have a carport added on to the side of this particular barndominium so another awesome surprise that we have for you guys today is we actually have the homeowner here with us today who's going to take us on a tour of their home so i'm going to kind of step aside once we get inside and let the homeowner walk us through and talk about some of the ideas they had when they were designing and building their barn dough and let us let him just walk us through and so let's go ahead and head inside and get started on our tour for today so before we head inside here i just wanted to kind of give you guys a pan look of the charcoal gray with black trim you can see those windows are a really cool feature added in here they've got grids in those windows those are black aluminum windows uh with black trim around we've got a crow's foot front porch right there that really adds a lot of character to the front of the home and so we're going to head inside here and introduce you guys to the homeowner uh he's been gracious enough to let us come in and he's going to walk us around and so let me introduce you guys to mr payton mcgarvey peyton how are you doing man good glad to have you all right so we're going to let peyton uh take us around the house here again this is a two bedroom two full bath 1200 square foot barn dominium uh located here in hausville texas so i'm gonna let peyton i'm gonna pan around here and peyton we i love the windows man those black aluminum windows tell me a little bit about why you chose that black yeah we wanted to go with the the white and black theme uh of course the charcoal and black on the outside so black windows where it must so like i said this is our 1200 square foot home it's just me and my wife right now so we're looking for more of a starter home something that we could get into without breaking the bank we have lots of friends and family so a large living room and kitchen was a must um like i said just me and my wife no kids right now so did you guys do uh vinyl plank here on the floor is that what i'm seeing here yeah vinyl flank um texas marvel did that texas marble did pretty much everything in this house did the trim work the floors um once we get into the kitchen i did the countertops backsplash as well okay well let's head over here into this kitchen and take a look so you guys have if i'm not mistaken that's a quartz countertop right yes sir yes sir got some grays in there to match the cabinetry yes sir got subway tile backsplash kind of matches it a little bit awesome i love that gray color mike jar did all the cabinetry work in this house throughout did a great job soft close cabinet doors on every everything and mr jar does a lot of cabinet work for us and one of the things that we do with our homeowners is we try to we have uh several local cabinet companies that we use we do try to just kind of we we choose those based on timeline of course pricing as well uh so you say mr jar did a pretty good job on these yes sir it was the quickest turnaround he was in budget and did a knockout job so did a good job awesome all right so we do have two full bedrooms here i'm gonna step over here i'm assuming this is bedroom number two here this is not the master bedroom number two here uh i'm using it for a home office at the moment i'm working from home so it's perfect space for me um just everything we needed was right here so a lot of natural light coming in in that particular room yeah looks good i see you're putting that uh 12-inch windowsill to use we always talk about those in our videos we see we can put those to good use here a lot of storage space there if we need it at first i didn't know what if i would like it or not but now that i have it it's a good place for a potted plant or awesome extra storage so all right so as we make our way around here right around the corner here is going to be bathroom number two this is a full bath we've got our quartz countertops in here too i see yes texas i bought these things but texas marble they set the sinks they did the countertops this is a cultured wobble shower they did all of that as well so the tub that's not a full insert that is a tub it's correct right yes sir it's a tub and then with the surround instead of doing tile or something we just did the cultured marble got you still got your great cabinetry in here that looks really really good i love the colors in this house yeah so as we make our way down the hall we've got our hvac mechanical closet right there um all seasons did the air condition unit um they did a great job on that got in and out really quick and i got no issues i don't know if you guys can hear it was running when we came in but you couldn't even hear it it's so quiet you could barely even tell that that thing was running we're standing right next to it and with the the spray foam it comes on very rarely now if you don't mind me asking um your first electric bill was pretty low correct it wasn't very high what i've paid is eighty dollars and the most i've paid is 120. that's awesome and i what's that air set on 69 let's see 63 right now 33 degrees i keep it cold yeah it is cold in here right now so if the camera starts shaking that's that's his fault not mine yeah so this is our master um we did a double french door out at the back we do have a walk-in closet here same flooring throughout same trim throughout we did the miter cut 1x4 trim [Music] bring you guys at the closet you have a lot of room in there yeah lots of room in the closet got uppers and lowers in there got a little bit of room for our safe in there yeah got some shoe storage now when i came in you were telling me that mr jar custom made some furniture for you so our cabinet guy did you a favor right yeah so we went to ashley furniture and all the surrounding furniture places in longview and everybody was months out to get furniture so i went to him and said hey if you're doing our cabinets can you do bedroom furniture to match and he was like yeah so it gave me a good price i thought it was fair and got it to me quick and it worked out perfect so i'm super happy with it so we've got matching chest of drawers there with our bedside tables as well yeah and then we got masters okay you guys get ready this is a huge shower in here so you'll see the shower here kind of follows the color scheme of the rest of the house yeah yeah we did the culture marble again um this one we did all the way up even into the ceiling um and texas marvel did this as well they did a knockout job on this awesome um it's got a recess pan down at the bottom down there recess pan big shower head um let's see they did the same countertops um throughout texas model did these are even provided the sinks were provided by texas marble as well in this bathroom they said all that um like i said same same cabinet soft shut yeah um a lot of cabinet space in there you got a lot underneath the sink and a floor to ceiling right awesome all right so we're gonna head back through here into the living area and i'm going to have peyton show us the laundry room mudroom i'm going to try to give you guys a good pan of the living room here i'm going to go all the way around so you guys can see a full look at the living room all the way into the kitchen we used about half of our square footage for kitchen living room and laundry room so area that we're in the most so this is where we wanted to kind of allocate our square footage and that's something we try to tell customers you know put your money where your time is going to be yeah if you know you're going to spend time in that living room in that kitchen put the money there make it worth it so nothing special here just a regular laundry room we did they did do the cabinetry there texas marvel did the countertops we did we did raise the the cabinets up here because we're going to do a hanging clothes rack actually there we go um so yeah it's worked out pretty good for us and it also has a exit or entry into the carport and this will take us outside we've got a tuned car just a two car car port yes it's a 24 by 24 carport um i can it's perfect for what i need at least um maybe in the future come on close it we'll see yeah but yeah it's been great easy to do if you wanted to come back and enclose it later that's something that's easy to do all right well we're going to wrap up here peyton i really appreciate it man i appreciate you
