Rory what about my radar last night and it was so I'm so intrigued in the picture I've done something that I would normally never do I've jumped in the car this morning I'm driving in half way I want to go clean up Rowdies it's a fight once a why maybe it looks fantastic [Music] my favorite things in this finale is when they have this paper I roll right in both sides of the motorway what [Music] [Music] unfortunately the car we're about to see won't be making engine noises like that anytime soon just had a nightmare as well guys I put the GoPro on the roof of Strad first time we've been out in this for a while lovely clear open road and GoPro fell off the roof just gone back can't find it so if anyone finds a GoPro we have some lovely strong early footage on please get in touch anyway we are round the corner from the destination before I take you to see the car let me give you a quick overview of the model we're about to see and the history of it from Ferrari the 1tb bi commonly referred to as the Ferrari boxer due to its flat 12 boxer style engine was the successor to the Ferrari Daytona and enjoyed a 10-year production lifespan in essentially three different variations Haunted Boxster car it was initially launched in 1973 as the 365 GT for /bb the BB standing forth berlinetta boxer the final version of the boxer was the 5-1 to BBI that was introduced in 1981 and that I indicating that the car was now a fuel injection model the previous versions had all been carburetors however all three versions of the car throughout the production looked very similar with very subtle facelift changes and essentially the same base 5 liter engine around 2300 models were built in total and just 200 of those were right hand drive models and of those 200 only 42 were 5-1 to BB eyes making the car we're about to see a very rare car indeed many people mistake the 12 cylinder boxer five one two with the more common 308 running of v8 engine they were both produced in the same era and have very similar styling both being designed by Pininfarina in 1984 the testa Rossa was launched and replaced the berlinetta boxer to become the new bedroom wall poster king so let's jump out of this Ferrari and go and check out the story on the other one but first once they have big thank you to Vinnie Nick and drama for making this happen today really appreciate it guys and I'll be sharing some of the pictures from this amazing story on my Instagram and all of them on my website so go and check those out and let me know your comments below we are here and we have been granted access amazingly to the 5-1 to be bi and what I saw is let's have a look around it [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] it's just so thick look at it v 1t baby I there's moss in here so amazing moss everywhere lazy he's got the spinners tires little cracks still got some air in them though look at this paintwork it's just so caked in right Wow we let tax desk 2008 oats now so cool look how cool is this it's not actually too bad inside but - is okay testa Rossa steering wheel same - look at this that's trays down here if we get into the bonnet and the head back there let's go show you some of this muck man just when was this last on the road this one is look at the rust this rear panels really gonna rust and the problem is it's a structure it's a subframe and things like that that you just you just don't know you say that doesn't look too bad they're Pininfarina badge hardly even read it I reckon I saw like wow look at that holy cow no way look at the moss in the air maybe air escapes a look at that such a shame what a car I mean no this is clean rubbers all gone on the air boxes cobwebs I could get this one running how cool is that when the front and the back come up no they're they're not Ferrari bits the toolkit is Ferrari yeah we got all the weight so we got to talk it here that's the bulb get those genuine Ferrari it's all complete that's the thing with this car is it's all there it's a genuine right hand drive very rare white one don't know how many white ones they made I would seriously love to fix this car up even though it's in great condition considering it's big sorry that's the oil filter yeah a mission to interior say white with the blue interior with white stripes amazing and this is how the car looked just 15 years ago the paintwork the interior everything was perfect and pristine you can see the distinctive roof mounted aerial in the pictures and it's just amazing to me that if you park a car up unprotected it can just deteriorate so badly in such a short amount of time well we're actually inside the five one two there's Benny checking out with me what do you think would you do something like this would you take on a project like this I think first thing is a bucket and sponge right they move that's good that's good for the cables on that a see if it's got any touch do that ready Oh stiff they clutch really stiff pedal right that's not good I'd imagine so if you say this has been here a satellite-based for a long time and those brakes will be seized clutch yet no clutch brake solid for anything yeah real will drive these ones got the aircon everything is standard well stereos been added up with all of this electric mirrors see normally the cables for all of these freaks up as well so the factor they are not frozen that would come up perfectly wouldn't that the inside of this car is really cool is that it's like a coat switch Hank isn't it all of this this is very testa Rossa even the switchgear is okay it's the - is six thousand to six thousand four hundred and twenty miles on this unbelievable Wow original Matt's okay on these things all the fuse boards go that is an immobilizer know you got the covers for the this is allegedly very clean in here these things so yeah my son yeah it's probably looks like a bit of uh yeah how cool is that it's not bad really which is clean up in here yeah yeah that's amazing it all works amazing that one moves with me obviously but to be fair it's actually fared quite well he's been resprayed or no else that's just peeling down here normally it is a paint sticker that's the tire pressures yeah yeah okay yeah that's it that's the original colour Bianco which is white wonder where it was last service this one that'll be the question Mike it's just completely hey eight was the last fit on the Textus wasn't it so yeah so that's 12 years ago so hopefully somewhere around in the old tax disc 180 pounds Oh add some pressure in it that that's the yeah yeah yeah yeah let's not help tip these air vents do the pork are a favor shall we find it in the door catch to open the door on that put your hand up put your hand up there there yeah that's it it's cool even the windscreens okay look there's not any chips in it its GERD you've got the aerial here that's the aerial lock thing so car all the wipers the brakes like oh yeah they're a bit rusty days it's a shame other than that though it's pretty straight is that the story behind this Ferrari is a sad one as you saw less than 15 years ago it was a pristine example originally it was owned by a Saudi prince and now it sits unloved and rotting away the tragic part of that is that there was no reason for this car lot to run it hadn't broken down it was just parked up and not used and gradually deteriorated more and more the 5 1/2 is crying out for rata rosa to take it home and save it restore it back to its former glory but unfortunately the owner is adamant he will never sell it so it's likely this car is just going to rot into a pile of rust and there you go look at that that is 5 1 2 BB i sat here Arius because my bro potatoes just in case without a let's clean it another journey to help so he's been off the road for 12 years Carolee has been started I don't think there's a case for many many years you wouldn't want to start it now you saw the state of all of the robot in that engine bay completely perish walking away therefore if the cam belts are intact and hopefully they are if you starting then pretty snapchat waiting so unfortunate ice is no happy ending for this story I will keep sharing it he has the details hopefully will be a change of the journal fix that anyway guys thank you so just watch it buddy heck enjoyed that I hope you're not feeling too sad give me a thumbs up share the video share the love see you very shortly in the next [Music] you
