Baer Plays Phantom Abyss (Ep. 1) - 3D Spelunky?

let's dive in let's give it a go i have already begun a new file here i just went through the uh what's basically the tutorial abyss and acquired our first statue well done thank you you'll just have to take my word for it that i performed to perfection as you've come to expect from me of course only elite gameplay on this channel all right so here we are phantom abyss throws you in here it's pretty vague about the uh lore so far although i don't mind that one bit i don't think i need a lot of lore for this one i'm an adventurer i'm down here in this indiana jones style domain trying to find treasure that's all that you know what that'll do that'll handle it veal sauce i am for seal dalai llama money i sat in the choir that's it this tint seems calm i'm pretty sure is what he said this tint seems calm i guess we need a bolder tint use temple links to challenge friends when with temples you died in if someone defeats the temple your phantom is released and you recover your loot from that run oh okay cool that's neat yeah we probably shouldn't trust this thing anything that speaks in gravely utterances is not to be trusted oh okay this is a little this kind of takes you out of the uh the environment a bit here this purple text is a little odd anyway all right i think we're diving in enter a temple the temple is constantly shifting its layout in rooms yeah dare to enter i do indeed dare if we're not to trust gravely utterances not sure i can trust you i didn't do myself a lot of services with that description did i yeah oh hello all right i think this is gonna be my first proper temple here floor one let's get to it so this will be y'all's uh introduction to things but the uh things are not entirely uh complicated here so what we got going on is we can sprint we can jump we can slide and then we've got this whip which allows us to grapple on to most surfaces and pull us forward like that which is really handy of course oh and there's also a safety role that you just saw a prompt show up for right there so if you fall from high enough up you can actually uh catch yourself with a safety roll by hitting b quickly enough this isn't uh i thought this would be like oh this is a waterfall i thought this is like a jet stream up so this seems easy enough to just go ahead and do this whoopsie all right well broke my ankles immediately that was uh not very smart oh is this hold on a second is this like an alternative path cool hey all right i totally meant to do that totally intentional i wanted to go to go find that stuff there we go all right and up all right calculated maneuver here we go i don't know what these things are i've yet to uh really identify every source of danger so i'll just be a little more inquisitive this time i suppose this is i mean it's our first round this is a good time to learn how things work there we go i guess i oughta play it safe with that too all right oh that's that was just a torch without the texture okay that's probably worth noting this is uh this is an early version of the game this is uh early early access i want to say right i'm pretty sure it's coming into or it's coming out in early access uh in a stages trying to get the best possible time i guess i can get that got to be careful with that safety roll oh wait there's no repeat though yeah you can only you can only play the stage once okay to make it all the way back right yeah it's like insurmountable let's go this sword once belonged to the shining king nice get as much health as you needed exactly this is going to be really cool for like yeah each each player is going to have their own unique relic room that's gonna be neat dude can you like examine it in any way no i guess not maybe that'll be a thing they allow you to do in the full version is like click on this and it'll give you like a breakdown of the temple that you got it from that'd be cool that'd be neat yeah this game is fantastic so far man i'm really into this i'm definitely going to be playing a lot more in fact more than likely going to get more of this going later today but as mentioned i forgot to eat today so i'm gonna i'm gonna go eat now and we'll uh
