what's up wastelanders how's everybody doing today I'm doing great and I hope you are too it's me gigibi welcome to a brand new episode of Kiki B plays Fallout 76. a little while back a member of our patreon family had a question about floating ceiling lights down below the ceiling to use in a high ceiling room now there are a few ways to do it and probably somebody has covered this in a video somewhere before but I'm gonna go ahead and show you some really cool tricks today to elevate or I guess de-elevate your Camp lighting game and create some really amazing industrial modern lighting fixtures as well before we dive into that though if you love what I do here and you're interested in supporting the channel you now have two options you can join our patreon family or become a channel member right here on YouTube head on over to patreon.com or click on that join button down below this video to find out more and for new patrons we still have two spots left in the video credits so if you want to see your name on all my videos maybe don't sleep on it and head over to patreon today and of course subscribing and turning on those Channel notifications really helps me out and is completely free so what are you waiting for and join us over on the happy camper Discord on Instagram and twitch we would love to see you there now we've got all that out of the way let's get building so I've got this bar in a room with a really high ceiling and I want to hang some lights over the bar aside from the Asylum lights if I hang lights from the roof the light won't even actually reach this far down so I need to find a way to suspend them lower now this is the easiest most basic method so plop down something like this stash box put one of these vertical conduit pipes on it and make sure it's parallel to the bar and now snap some of the plane pipes out from it across the bar wherever you want a light to hang use one of these pieces that has a connector for a wire on it then you can remove the vertical pipe and add a connector piece on the end and you've got this lovely thing that you can add wires to to suspend it from the ceiling which I'm doing a very rough job of at the moment and then you can hang some lovely ceiling lights on the underside of the conduit pieces or even on the pipes themselves if you want to do a better job of lining up the conduits on the ceiling just stand on top of the pipes or in a little over a week use the free cam to get up there above the height of the pipes and then it'll be really easy foreign so that's that it's a useful and easy trick experiment with different lights and see what you like this next one is a sleeker version and involves our old friend the cab module which is good for doing all kinds of insane with go ahead and stack up some stash boxes or whatever you have to a good height putting a rug on top can make it easier to place the module down depending on the size of your boxes and ignore the fact that I put my Camp up there like I thought I could move it with the stack because you can't but if you ever wanted a floating Camp module for some reason that's how you do that anyway move the stack over next to where you want to hang your light then put your module on top so that it's sticking out over the edge and that's where your light will go now grab one of these cycling bulb lights and hang it on the underside of the module it's a little picky about where you put it but you'll find The Sweet Spot easily enough once you've got it in place move the other stuff out of the way and you've got a floating light bulb foreign up on the ceiling wire the light to it and then you can hang your light fixture to the underside of this bulb I placed mine a little too low here but you get the idea as long as you don't connect those ceiling conduits to actual power your cycling bulbs won't light up and it gives you a nice clean looking wire to hang your lights from foreign so those look pretty cool so far let's try something a little different we're going to do a similar thing using the cycling lights but this time as lights so I've stacked some stash boxes in an interesting circular Arrangement here keep moving your cam module around and suspending your bulbs from it put some conduits up above them to wire them to now that already looks really pretty now we're going to use a small rug with a floor Conduit on it to make this whole thing work just beautifully put that rug and conduit underneath your fancy Lighting on the floor and wire all of those ceiling conduits to the one on the rug now pick it up by the rug and place it once then you can move it to your power source which in this case is on the roof and you won't have to worry about your wires intersecting with anything try to get it in the middle and then connect it to power just keep in mind that each cycling ball requires one power so make sure your generators are outputting enough set the colors manually or with a terminal and you've got a really pretty sort of modern Chandelier now we're going to create another chandelier thing this time using some conduit pipes so grab a vertical pipe set it on top of something to get it to the right height if you need and use the rounded corner pieces to create a floating ring of pipes hang some bulbs from the bottom and we're going to change up the rug and conduit trick a little bit here so put your rug on top of something and hanging off the edge a bit and then you want one of these snapping conduits that face downward we'll wire all the bulbs to it you'll need to move it around a couple of times so that all the wires will connect otherwise it'll be trying to intersect through the rug and the stash boxes and stuff now pick up the rug set it in place once and then you can go ahead and put it on the roof foreign if you hold down the build button and then move the object you can push it farther away so that you can reach the roof from down here which makes it easier to position it above the chandelier and now you can head up and make any minor adjustments that you need to attach an upward facing snapping conduit to this one and then wire that to your power grid I seem to have missed a wire here but you get the idea foreign you can also use straight conduit pipes to make a nice simple industrial fixture and wire the bulbs to each other and then only connect two of them up to the ceiling you can also use the curved ones to make like a wavy kind of thing and of course a smaller ring looks good as well try messing around with all kinds of shapes and ideas you are guaranteed to have fun with it that's it from me today folks I hope you enjoyed this video hope you learned something don't forget to make sure that you are subscribed and you've turned on those Channel notifications so you don't miss out on the next absolutely amazing video If you like this and you're interested in supporting the channel check out that patreon link in the description or
