church will you join me in welcoming the whole wide world to big time open door church y'all this is the open door experience boom hey let's welcome everybody blessing and peace on you everybody that's watching in 200 nations all over the planet earth hi y'all we're so sorry that you don't live in texas everybody's listening on the radio all over the world we encourage you do not drive slow in the fast lane especially if you're in florida by the way florida wow and then i want to bless everybody that is here in the house right now and say thank you so much man for fighting through whatever it was that you had to fight third to get here today i know that you had a fight on your hands and i bless you just tell the person next to you tell them say we made it tell them made it man dang skippy all right well i'm usually preaching a teaching series and i just finished my teaching series on redeeming your timeline and it was good yeah and i really enjoyed it and i i did that but i've got a couple of weeks i have this sunday and next sunday i don't gotta i can preach anything i want to preach however i want to preach it when i'm just like it's like christmas to me man when i can do that and like okay well here's what i'm gonna do i'm gonna wait until saturday night to put together my sermons because i'm just going to just see what happens on saturday and then i'm going to preach on that on sunday and i don't really get to live that life anymore and i i want to say this that on friday i went out to the awakening conference in lake city florida and i went out there not not having any idea who these people were what their conference was going to be like i i was very ignorant of the other speakers and i tell you what i am no long i was like oh my gosh these guys are such world changers i'm talking about i'm talking about katia adams if you don't know who that is you need to look her up her grandfather started the modern church which is in iran and they've been working in the underground church for forever and ever and ever her husband's name is julian and julian adams is a very prophetic individual and they are so sweet and how they carry the presence of the lord was so intriguing to me i was like wowzers the lady that put on this whole event her name is jerry ann webb everybody say hello jerriann yeah jerriann is this you know hillbilly girl that she and her sister and her parents and their husbands all decided you know what man we're they just they they got a burden for saving girls and they got a good burden for us you know what they did a couple of them got together like six or seven of these church girls they all got together and they went down to the local strip club and sit in the big round table and just said we're believing god's going to bring us somebody and i'm so grateful they didn't ask for anybody's opinion before they went and did that and they went and did that and the lord brought somebody to him and and they weren't there for a little while walked out the door with a woman who needed help and who needed this and who needed that talk to one lady there and you know what they do this lady from this church they actually open up their nurseries and they open up their children's church on fridays and saturday nights because they built such a good relationship with a lot of those girls whose lives are caught up in prostitution and they watched their babies form like we're going to watch your babies for for you we're going to take care of your babies we're going to build relationships with you and we're going to enter into your life and we're going to be a catalyst for for the kingdom and before long your your life is going to look a whole lot more like heaven than it looks like hell like wow oh they're crazy people and so i've been taking notes the past couple of days and and i i want to bring you the takeaway of a word that i have and it was a word that god gave me in the midst of watching all these trailblazers and i know a little bit about trailblaze and i i know a little bit about that about doing stuff that i didn't know anybody had ever done before and and i i i'm a little bit familiar with that but these guys man we're a different level i was so impressed i mean you're talking about we're talking about hey i'm going to start a huge move of god in the nation of iran can you imagine the audacity of that and there are literally millions of muslim people giving their hearts to jesus in iran right now it's the fastest and largest growing church in the world you're not going to hear about it you're not going to hear about it on the news because nobody's got a rainbow flag you're not going to hear about it on the news because it doesn't have anything to do with hollywood it has to do with the body of jesus and the world yawns but i'm telling you it is changing things it's changing things and can you imagine the how brave you'd have to be to actually go and do that and just go no man i'm i'm listen i'm believing that there's a revival here in this dangerous place oh i was so impressed with these guys so you have to steward your take away you have to do that even today if you don't steward your take away and grab a hold of something and you say i'm hanging on to that and i'm not going to let go of that and i'm going to let that change my life you won't even get to your car before somebody makes you mad and you forget and god bless you if you go to walmart after church i mean you have to you have got to stew you have to guard your takeaway you have to do that now that's actually what made moses such a rock star yes he did ask the lord i want to see your glory yes he did exodus 20 21 which is a 2021 scripture for you for such a time as this and what is this and moses pressed into thick darkness where the presence of god was and the people stood afar off yeah okay he was invited and he had a permission and he had a green light to go into the scary place where jesus is like i dare you to meet me here everybody else said no i ain't doing that but he did and i love that by the way that's the 2021 scripture and that's for you as everybody else stands off saying no no no that's too much for me god's looking for people saying is it too much for you are you scared are you going to be scared are you going to press in let's go i dare you i dare you [Music] that's really cool stuff but let me tell you one of the main things that made moses absolutely incredible i'm talking about made him one in billions and billions of people is this when he got into that thick darkness and he spent 40 days in the presence of god in a very supernatural timeless place where he literally saw the beginning where he saw in the beginning god created the heavens and the earth and he saw how things were formed and things were made and and he he visited with the ancient of days in a timeless place there was something else too god gave him a job to do in the midst of all that and he said moses i want you to get ready to build a tabernacle according to the pattern that i'm going to show you and he showed him a pattern and he said moses i need you to build a tabernacle because you guys are going to go into the in the into the wilderness and i don't want the people camped out around a sermon i want the people i want the people camped out around my presence i don't want the people camped out just around the bible i want the people camped out around my manifest presence that the bible testifies of and so that's what he did you're like okay that's cool no no i don't want you to miss this because see when he was in the mountain in the dark place when he was at the conference when he was at church god spoke to him big but he pulled it off after he went home and was surrounded by knuckleheads man i want to encourage you to do that that it's one thing man for god to show you something it's another thing to pull it off among a faithless faithless generation and to be somebody says i will god i'm going to steward the takeaway i know what you said and i'm doing it i'm doing that so i'm going to give you my takeaway and it's a it's a hodgepodge a kind of a holy ghost frankenstein of a whole bunch of different words that i heard this week and i want to share it with you guys if you have your bibles please open it up to amos chapter eight we're going to be in amos chapter 8. and we're going to go to verse 11 and this is this amazing piece of scripture i love this it says behold the days are coming declares the lord god when i will send a famine upon the land not a famine for bread or for thirst for water but rather for hearing the words of the lord the bible describes a generation who cannot hear or that god refuses to speak to as a generation that is in a time of famine because there wasn't very long after that that god got quiet for 400 years wow i know what it means when leanna's not talking to me but you should not be living in a famine you should be hearing god speak you should be hearing the voice of the lord through everything around you as a matter of fact one of the things i heard this last week is elizabeth barrett browning said the earth is crammed with heaven and every common bush of fire with god but only he who sees takes off his shoes everybody else sits around just plucks blackberries some people see the fire within the bush and they take out their shoes and go whoa this is holy this is god i'm going to make a big deal out of this everybody else says oh i see a berry because i'm a little bit hungry right now for that and that's all i that's all i see that spoke to me in a tremendous way and i said god let me be the person that sees the fire and also let me be like moses who actually said now i will turn to see this thing that i have seen because he had seen it for a while and finally i got to a place where he couldn't deny and he couldn't ignore it and he's like okay this got to be god i have to investigate this because a lot of people don't um oh some people wake up at 3 33 every single day and they're just like blackberry and they go right back to sleep some people see the fire of god in that burning bush and they go okay i'm going to have to investigate i'm going to check this out lord do you have a word for me in this god is it 3 33 in the morning should i just cry out to you well jeremiah 33 3 call upon me and i will show you great and mighty things that you know not off maybe it's that maybe it's i don't know that's between you and the lord what that is but there comes a time where you will finally just say i will now turn aside to see this thing i got to investigate this i got to dive in i've got to lean into it i can't just ignore this or deny it any longer well this last week i'm going to tell you a very supernatural story and tell you something crazy that happened yesterday morning yesterday morning i we got up early and i had three friends that were with me that went from open door to lake city florida and we got up and my hillbilly my brand new hillbilly friends had let me borrow their truck and they said troy would you like a truck to drive around i said i would as long as it's not a ford and it was a ford and i was just being funny i really have no preference of vehicles whatsoever sorry so anyway uh we got up early before before we went to the conference yesterday and i was like hey let's go to cracker barrel it's like okay so we go to cracker barrel and because we're old we like to sit outside in the rocking chairs i used to make fun of people for doing that and i don't any longer i'm so that dude now like that's what i'm talking about and so i said you guys sit down save me a rocking chair i'm going to go inside here and i'm going to put in because this big crowd of people was coming in and you know that's kind of what you do you kind of because you're a man of god and you're polite and you're selfless you run ahead of everybody else say table of four so that's what i did well i had i had a conference to go to man and so so anyway i said table of four they're like what's your name and i said troy and i heard this guy go aha now that's my weirdo alert one of the cool things about being on television and all that kind of stuff is i get to meet people all over the world and i like talking to people that i don't know i just do i really enjoy that some people don't like that i like that it's funny to me and i i demand that people that don't know me still talk to me uh it's england is a fun place because nobody talks to each other and like we're we're in an elevator i'm like hey y'all what's going on everybody's like and then i'll start going i'm jolly well thank you very well i just started speaking in their voices and they're like it really gets annoying when you put your hand behind their head as you're talking and you do this i do that you asked poor liana leona's like my god troy i'm like i said hi to this fella and he didn't say hi back that's rude to me so it it really doesn't bother me but i do have a weirdo alert now because deep cause in the deep that's what lyanna says and the guy goes oh when i said my name's troy and he tells his wife see i told you so and he starts crying and his wife starts crying and i'm like oh hey man are you here part of this conference he said no you're in town for a conference i said i am i'm here for a conference and he said i've only seen you on tv and i uh do you have a satellite church here because i was thinking maybe you had a satellite church here i said no i don't have a satellite church in florida there's no respectable floridians would have me and he said well okay he said well i have a word i need to give you and he said i need to tell you why i'm here i said okay he's never met me i've never met him he's seen me on tv but god gave him a dream and spoke to him he gets up at 3 33 a.m and looks at the clock and in the dream god told him go to lake city florida and find troy brewer and give him a word for me and it was a five-hour drive him and his wife drove from sarasota florida now look i got two people on the front row that will verify this because they were with me and the cracker barrel prophet showed up [Applause] and the guy was like okay you know because he didn't know if he was crazy or not because he just had a dream he's like i just believe it's the word i'm come on let's drive to sir let's drive to it's only five hours and that so sounds like something i would do and so he did and he he thought that i might have a church there and he looked for an open door church and there wasn't one there so they didn't know what to do so they went to cracker barrel and i came walking in and that brother had a word for me until about next level i was like oh then he gave a word to mildred and then he gave a word to giles and then he gave a word to my friend that was with us and it was so next level and it was so right on and it was so crazy and then the guy's like okay i did it man i did it bye and he left and i didn't see him again now you saw that happen yesterday well look i don't know if if that builds your faith or it just causes you to question your theology and if you if you think that god can only do that in the bible but he can't do it in real life the reason he can't do it in real life is because he he had people like philip in the book of acts who was crazy enough to have a dream and get up and go to gaza when he didn't know why he was going there but he doesn't have very many crazy people left anymore here because we've got all this theology and we don't have much room for jesus being king and i blessed that guy i want to show you his picture by the way this is a picture of him praying over josh i forgot i had a picture of him that is the cracker barrel prophet i have no idea who he is what his name is i don't know i was hungry after that i didn't want to know his name don't be yelling at his name everybody be calling him wanting a word from all over the world man so uh honestly i just like bye and he's like bye and it was over you know guys the lord will cause you to go into places you've never been and to do crazy things that is not acceptable to anybody else around you because the lord sees you really kind of as a ceo type as somebody who have a vision and to do what he puts on your heart to do he thinks a lot more highly of you than you think of you and he will invite you to do things and to step into territory you've never stepped in before so that crazy cool things could happen now when you like to be the guy that tells the story of hey man god gave me a dream and told me to go there and i went there and then the guy showed up and i gave him a word it was crazy never met the guy before i i wasn't even sure it was him but he's the guy that went in and said table for four for troy and the guy didn't even know if it was me or not and like okay that is troy and when you love to be able to tell that story how how you supernaturally partner with god okay here's the problem when you have the dream you actually have to get out of bed and then you have to have the kind of marriage that your wife thinks is cool that she wakes you up at 3 33 and says let's drive for five hours and see if troy actually shows up there so you got to have all kinds of stuff where you have victory within your life and then you gotta then you have to have the audacity and the courage to go well even if i miss this i'm still god's favor road trip right and man you gotta you have to be able to do that and that's the principle of sonship as a as opposed to servanthood in servanthood you can't mess up better not mess up man i've been hard to do a job i got to do my job i don't want to get fired in sunship you're like sometimes it's kind of funny to mess up and here's something else too you know you're like well god would never ask you to do anything dangerous he would never ask you to do anything risky you don't know the lord because he will not ask you to do safe things he wants to be your safety he will not ask you to do peaceful things he will invite you into places of high anxiety and say i want to be your peace will invite you into places that you need to be sheltered and he'll say i want to be your comforter i want you to know me like that that's what i want most of the church is not compatible with the language i'm speaking right now it's just too crazy it's just too out there here's what i'm saying i'm saying jesus is looking for a people that are not afraid to be the people that god has called them to be there was a guy by the name of julian julian adams and again i encourage you to look him up and julian adams gave a testimony of a dream or a vision that he had had one time and he dreamed that he was at this church and at the church there was a floating head of jesus going around inside the church and then finally the lord spoke and he started crying i want my body back i want my body back and i was like yeah that was the lord like yeah he wants his body back he wants it to be okay with you if he invades your life or if he invites you to do something dangerous where nobody else will my nobody in my family would ever approve that why do you need your family's permission well nobody else would nobody else in my church does anything like that what do you want the same kind of walk that they have then do exactly what they do but if you want something different then do something different i want to show you a scripture and this is hosea chapter 10 verse 12 sow for yourselves righteousness reap in mercy break up the fall ground for it's time to seek the lord until he comes and reigns righteousness upon you if you want the drought or the famine of the voice of the of the voicelessness of god within your life you're like no i need to start hearing god speak and i'm i'm telling you god i'm telling i know i know i haven't said yes before but it's time for me to start saying yes and i know okay i know it's going to be crazy stuff that i think there's no way that's god and i'm still going to believe it this time i'm going to if you and god's like okay okay because i'm telling you i will literally change your life and i will bless you in such a radical way but here's the deal pickle you're going to have to hear me speak i'm going to end the drought and i'm going to speak clearly to you and you're it's going to be a new thing see there's this principle that goes within the drought and it's these three different things the first one it says sow for yourselves righteousness what does that mean it means this you invest your time your talent and your treasure into the righteousness of god in king jesus and you do that for you i need to find out who who god is to me who i am to god how i can walk with the lord what does the word of god say what are my promises how do i conform my circumstances to the promises of god what what is it that the lord has called me to do what is my purpose and specifically what is my assignment for this season and you invest and invest and invest and invest and you get the word of god into your life and you pray and you you be a part of the community of jesus and you hang around drop dead sowed out jesus freaks and you know more about the word of god than you do game of thrones and you invest and you invest and you invest into it you vest righteousness into yourself and then what's the next thing you do you reap mercy let me tell you what it means to reap mercy it means to literally pick up mercy where other people will leave it laying because god will show up you'll say lord i feel so terrible about this he said well i've got mercy on you pick it up and go on a lot of people will not do that no lord yes in my tradition i've always spun off for at least three or four years when i screwed up like this before i'm sorry i can't reap i can't reap your mercy right now i'll pick it up again after i've gone through my little religious rituals where i've made myself feel like see that's why the first stance is you have to sow righteousness you have to invest in learning what true righteousness is and if you don't do that you'll never be able to reap mercy because you don't think you deserve mercy and you don't but you qualify for it because of king jesus so you're going to have to sow and so and so you've got to invest invest invest invest invest wake up thinking about jesus go to sleep thinking about jesus raise your kids by singing praises over them by saying hey listen just repeat after me listen kids repeat after me i am the head and not the tail i am above and not beneath i am highly favored of the lord that's something i used to have my kids repeat after me when i took them to school and i'm still since i'm a teacher i thought i'd share that with y'all every time i preach and i guess you you do that you invest you invest you lean into it you get very intentional and then you got to learn dude how to reap mercy when god offers you grace and mercy you got to learn how to pick that up and most people are going to leave it laying in the field and it'll right there but not you because since you've learned that he is your righteousness you're not afraid to pick up his mercy but that ain't all it says then it says you got to break up the fallow ground you invest into learning about the righteousness of god which is in christ jesus you pick up mercy and you reap it everywhere you go and when god tells you to walk on the new territory you do it and it ends the drought you can never live in a drought of hearing god speak if you're doing those three things now this whole thing about fatal ground literally means unplowed ground it means to take take a piece of your ground or piece of your life that has never been developed and go go ahead and start messing with that part now and it's parts you don't want to mess with it's the the easy parts are already broken up one of the things that happens is god will tell you okay i dare you get up and go to lake city florida and give a word to troy brewer don't worry about where he's at just go you'll see like okay i've never done anything like this before but it's a date day anyway got my bride with me they're bound to have a dairy queen [Applause] it's all good okay you you step off into that place and here's the deal i heard katina adams say this you have to be led by the spirit of god if you're not going to be driven by fear and she gets that from romans right as many as are the sons of god are led by the spirit of god but people are too driven by fear they'll get up and go god spoke and then fear will drive them back to go to sleep but see when you walk in sonship and when you walk in the power of the lord and you move from that three categories from 34 to 64 to 100 fold from outer court to inner court to most holy place when you go from from being a worker to being a friend and by the way it's it's a lot better to be a friend than it is to be a worker jesus says no longer do i call you servants but now i'll call you friends right and he said you know why because i'm going to let you in on the good stuff i want to share with you i'm going to share my heart with you you don't do that with your servants but let me tell you what the upgrade of that is it's sonship why because friends do not receive the inheritance the sons and daughters of god the people who are willing to be led by the spirit of god and be crazy enough to trust the lord more than they do their history and their culture those are the people who receive the inheritance so i hear this woman get up and say and she's just so remarkable she gives this she said everybody who is deciding to tread the follow ground everybody who is deciding to plow the fallow ground to go into the places that nobody else surrounds him to go to make it a new norm for everybody else okay people are like okay this is what's normal everybody gets pregnant by the time that they're 16 and everybody gets divorced by their 28 and everybody is married to the third to the third husband by the time that they're 30 okay somebody is going to hear god speak and go i'm going a different way than that but here's what she said that blew my mind she said everybody that decides to get into a new lane the devil is playing spiritual chicken with them and saying they will leave their lane if i scare them and that's what's happening with every single one of us all the time you jump in this lane there's a mack truck headed straight towards you okay i got to get out of my leg no you got to get out of your lane because i'm going to plow through this and i don't care what it cost me i know it's risky i know it's scary i'm going to scream like a daggum comanche indian i don't know what i'm doing i don't have any sense just the lord told me here yeah i was like i'm going to preach that all over the world and people are going to think i'm a genius i stole it from katina adams so then jerriann gets up and she reads this amazing word about this path that the lord is calling us that is different and about being able to recognize a lot of times our norm that we found god in was not that path was not formed by god at all it was just the path that you found god in i'm not talking about another way to jesus or another way to the father which is only by jesus that's all i'm talking about but i'm telling you a lot of people find jesus in the midst of such religious nonsense that they think that the religious nonsense is jesus when it was a path that was trodden out by by some knucklehead or maybe it was somebody who was anointed in that at that time he was you know he was plowing through fallow ground and in it but it doesn't work in the g you know what i'm saying i mean a lot of times we just think that our norm has to be the norm when in fact it's a path that is not necessary at all and if we would just hear god speak he would give us simple solutions to complicated issues and he would show us things and go no this is different but dude you got to trust me but that's a scary place well yeah it is scary but nobody's ever done that before yeah until somebody does it and then it becomes the norm after a while somebody else will do it somebody else do it somebody else will do it but we will not confront the patterns that you and i live in because we're more driven by fear than we are led by the spirit so she gets up and she reads this really cool poem and it's called the calf path by a brother by the name of sam foss thank you sam that's what it says one day through the prime evil wood calf walked home as good calves should but made a trail all bent askew a crooked trail as all calves do and since then 300 years have fled and i inferred that that calf is dead but still he left behind his trail and thereby hangs my moral tell the trail was taken up next day by a lone dog that passed that way and then a wise bell weather sheep pursued the trail or veil and steep and drew the flock behind him too as good bellwethers always do and from that day or hill and glade through those old woods a path was made and many men wound in and out and dodged and turned and bent about and utter words of righteous wrath because it was such a crooked path but still they followed and do not laugh the first migrations of that calf and through this winding woodway stalk because he wobbled when he walked now this forest path became a lane the bent and turned and turned again and then this crooked lane became a road where many a poor horse with load toiled on beneath the burning sun and traveled some three miles in one and thus a century and a half they tried the footsteps of that calf the years passed on in swiftness fleet the road became a village street and this before men were aware a city's crowded thoroughfare and soon the central street was this of other renowned metropolis and men two centuries and a half trod in the footsteps of that calf the poem goes on and i was like good googly moogly that's brilliant and i wonder i wonder what place that god is inviting you into that's scary and you go well everybody else in my family is scared of that nobody else in my family does that nobody else in my culture does that the kids i went to school with don't do that nobody went to high school does all that all that but so obviously we're scared of that i mean it's off the map and there's a cracking on that part of the map it means it's uncharted well i would show you what first peter chapter 3 says do not fear what is frightening hello church in coronavirus julian got up and said look if the lord is gonna if you're gonna walk with god what's real is he's gonna put you into a messy place where you're gonna make mistakes and in a lot of places that the lord invites you to you're going to get injured and you're going to get hurt well that's what adventurous people do you know i'm not going to ask any of the ladies in here but i'm going to ask the the men and say men if your grandpa would you not put a helmet on your grandkid and put him on a motorcycle or put him on a horse cause i would notice i didn't ask the girls and it's okay ladies you're welcome to be like that you're supposed to be like that but i want to just tell you you're like dude if you got an opportunity to ride a wild horse or if you got an opportunity to ride a motorcycle do it [Applause] well he might get hurt well our highest priority is not that he doesn't get hurt because that brother could get hurt reading twitter on the couch our highest priority is that he doesn't live the life of a coward in the cellar of his basement and be a 50 year old man and do nothing but play video games we don't want that we want him to be a world changer we wanted to be an awesome dad we want him to not be afraid of what is frightening okay well if you being evil would be like that how much more so your father in heaven and so if he's going to invite you into these places you're like there's no way that could be god because it's messy that come and i made lots of mistakes and the things didn't turn out the way that i thought they would and i thought well this is going to go this way or that way and it's just a big old mess this is something that julian said he said graveyards are straight perfect and peaceful but birthing rooms are messy and loud with scary sounds that's like yes i'm going to close and invite the band up here and just say this in revelation chapter 3 verse 20 jesus is talking to a church that doesn't know his voice he's talking to the laodicean church and he said behold behold means look here he's like look here i stand at the door and i knock and if any man will hear my voice he's knocking with his voice and say i'm telling you i put it up on your heart what to do i've told you what to do i've told you where to go you know just because you don't have the funds and just because you don't have it all worked out and just because you don't have a support group and just because just because you don't have pioneers before you man i'm i'm saying this that if you'll you'll open the door to seeing me behold by hearing my voice and this is the deal we're going to sit down at a table together in this thing we're going to sit at the same table i will come in and sup with him hey listen if i go into you in partnership with the business one of the things that i might say to you is let's me and you sit down at the same table about this thing i will go into partnership with you we will be family together we will have a family business and i'll make your business my business my business will be your business yeah it's going to be messy but it ain't a graveyard it's a birthing room so it's okay man i'll meet you friends i close by saying the lord has not called you to be a couch potato he's called you to be a trailblazer and you're anointed to do that guys let's give king jesus a great big praise
