well band Bananarama to form what I suppose could be called the king-sized gypsy bananas they'll be showing us the offspring of their union long train running a bit later on but let's meet the girls whose appeal has been described as loose-limbed ah de vivre I can't do better than that Bananarama [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] I've got a blonde one this side and the dark one this had lovely absolutely now let's get the name sorted out because you want this banana Rama it's Sarah Heron Heron and Jack Jackie right 10 years together you tell me how did you manage that I've known Karen since I was about 7 we went to instant school and right up to second Driscoll and then were left home together lived in the YWCA together and then formed a group I heard that this was formed of accident well we lived above them rehearsing the XX pistols funny enough incompleteness of squalor and it was just a case of messing around on the instruments with them and Paul cook who is drumming with us tonight funnily enough suggested we took it seriously later career after well you you're in it for laughs really start with but then the success came did that take about the bride and the I think it took a long time for us to take it seriously and we managed ourselves for a long time and idea wasn't what did you think of the the send up of that Saunders and that French and Saunders didn't view I think a lot of what we saw would take it seriously um sense of humor prevailed and that to us before it went out and they already had the idea of doing the comic relief thing and they sent it mean so just how old and roll very slow and it was very little Ebola it wasn't perfect telling me the phone well you may or may not have heard of course what Josie said about you on Friday night lives you know whose nose I'm getting more and more like adverse nowadays in face I mean he wanted in Bananarama lives you expect the cameras to pan their on at any minute to their handbags on the dance floor to be a possible head and shoulders speaking at the job Peggy Sheldon I didn't know you had a good singing voice well I'm sorry girls I didn't mean that masturbation [Music] [Music] I do got you which means I'm lying well if you forget I'm actually tasted everything between these two yeah you've worked very hard on your dad sweetie don't you very much forgive me later we find out as as you know very it's an extension of the way we behave in a global part of situation I think we do tend to be quite extravagant on the dance floor and you still use a lot of exotic male dancers Oh God for our band tonight and we do like to dress up our male dancers it amuses us knowing with the many videos and one particular performance we made them worth of high cut black pants and stockings and they all refusing said when you can't good otherwise the dock your wages so I did it regardless I'm wonderful because you have you've had that experience already having teachers is there more of that man no I found that really difficult to let dancing really difficult but I did like the men and I like the fact that they said they said you can choose which one you want to try out from which one you want to go yeah we know one here hand me down your male fans sometimes get a bit full of us over emotional don't they well we've got quite a mixed fans I mean I've said over half my own half female and we were in Japan Ladue tend to come off and OH in Japan I'm sure and just go and you never know what to do and you think when I see about 10 years older it turns out their health and 23 years old philosophy students and things quite rivet on contradictive yeah well then you get your building bridge builders brigade you know blondie show us your bosses [Music] [Laughter] [Music] yes Jessie how do I catch this question how do you handle the men in your audience and that stops them um yeah okay give them a Betty hi voices no really good your fans will send you their intimate thoughts though they live right quite a lot of poetry I think I think in any one in a land should we get it yourself don't they release and now we get some strange stuff some of it feels a bit worrying and what was it well you get the odd person who you know is a sort of slightly deranged I had them a girl who I'd actually caught broken breaking into my room in a hotel in New York and she was going through my stuff and she TT found stuff with my dress on and started writing to me and somehow I was poisonous and I was the mother of a poisoned child and causing this and that mm-hmm what nationality was that lady yeah Josie one can ask you about male do you get odd stuff and I did start to get odd stuff and but but Mel's it goes through the agency and it a lot of it gets better I think - feels good looks like you know sometimes it can just be so upsetting just people say miss lights you are a filthy disgusting woman that's a little sin Bedford because I did a heavy metal thing on whose line once where I use the microphone thick naughtily but but today all the you noticed all the mad ones all have real spidery hand nurses really weird and one guy sent me an envelope of his own hair once straight right thing but sometimes we get lovely things like poetry is nice and you get asked up the dates or possibly you a lot more than me but I mean when you see us you think this is there for writing to somebody else really aren't they B do you feel indefinitely if they see you on the screen and that it's not really you you know for the nighttime you can't April drinking your eyes when they meet you know life and you discover what you're really like now your new single is out with Gypsy Kings was just another accident almost weeks Liam walking we were going to rewrite the last song on the album and our producing youth was playing a Doobie Brothers album when we walked into it rehearsal room and we just said Oh what great songs we do that so is writing a new track and that when we finished recording it sounded quite Spanish so we thought we'd go the whole house and get the proper flamenco guitar they don't speak to whether English today yeah that must have been interesting we didn't actually go to the coding session I mean yeah tonight's the night I know you're going to prepare yourselves for the performance we remember something sort of dark I thought what exactly the same brought some other way there goes no 45 great okay so starting to look Porter and we'll take a break now and after that we'll meet David Jason [Applause] [Music] and go to Ellen and thanks for your company this is the last studio edition of a swimmin company to decline beans we're off to America calling for fresh company I rather fancy one of those Oscars and now here with Bananarama the Gypsy Kings or they prefer now to be called Alma did not check and long train running bye for now [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause]
