going guys welcome back to the train show parent key shop channel as always i'm dan now today's video is a little bit different we've got these gorgeous gucci loafers in for a full level resole in the form of an asmr video now if you're one of my regulars don't panic it's just a one-off bit of an experiment but the asmr shoe repairing seems to be extremely popular on youtube quite relaxing so hopefully some of you guys enjoy it uh reason being mainly is i've had the busiest week of the year last year still busy now i'm far too busy to record one of my usual style videos so without the talking and explaining i'll be able to squeeze this in for you guys so without further ado let's get to it [Music] so you oh yeah all right guys maybe just a little bit talking so i can tell you what we're doing so we've got the entire sole off now what we're going to do is condition and color the uppers so we can get right down here because the way these loafer soles are fashioned they have a curved sole and it's going to be difficult for us to uh color this edge that tucks underneath the sole once this hole's on so we've just got a jar of puro cream here this is a nourishing coloring cream so we're just going to apply it to the uppers and give it a new lease of life so foreign i so all right guys rock and roll so what we're doing differently today rather than finishing off and shaping the sole once he's on the shoe we're shaping it before we put it on the shoe because as i said earlier we're going to have this rounded edge on the sole and it's much easier to do it this way before we put it on the shoe so that's what we're doing on the [Music] machine [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] so so what we're doing here is just taking some fine sandpaper sanding the material over the upper that we're going to be gluing to normally we'll do this on the machine but because it's just this delicate fabric we don't want to put it on the machine but this will give it a nice rough finish for the glue to have something to grip onto all right guys so now where we're up to it's time to get our contact adhesive onto our shoe and our sole so we can stick it all together so let's get sticky [Applause] [Music] all right guys just very quickly our soles are all on nicely but before we stitch them on and nail the heel section the customer also wants our brass triumph toe plates so we're just going to cut away the recess there ready for the toe plate to go on you you you so so [Music] so [Music] [Music] [Laughter] [Music] so all right ladies and gents i'm back to talking it feels like i haven't said anything for a while so now we're just getting the heel blocks on the heels i've already made up i'm just getting sticky again getting heels on the heel block and on the section of the shoe sole rather that i've just rasped up [Applause] so so [Music] bye i think okay ladies and gents i'm back because i wanted to tell you what we're doing now we're now just getting some nails through the inside of the shoe to the outside and this is to secure the heel block on to the sole i mean we glued it on but this is a really anchors it in place obviously whilst you're walking there's a lot of tension it has to be on securely it's just poop okay so the repair is finished but the final thing we need to do is just pop our gucci insole liner back in the shoe just with a dab of glue all right so we'll just pop him in his home so it says gucci and it's very important that it says gucci or else how would anybody know okay guys benito our gucci loafers have had a full restoration so what have we done we've done the full jr lever soles dovetail heels brass triumph toe plates blake stitched and of course we've done some brass detailing on the soles and the heels the uppers had nice condition and put some color back into all the faded areas and if you can see that's the end result on our curved edge to our jr sole um okay so i hope you enjoyed this video
