do you remember the first night we met how do you still speak to me you're the feel-good energy never stops being weird it's so weird Reese and Ashton bringing major 2000's romantic comedy Nostalgia with their new film your place or mine it's the first movie they've ever made together which took so long it's like a quite a natural fit we needed a lean McKenna to pull us together Elaine is the rider behind cult classics The Devil Wears Prada and 27 Dresses and she wrote The Perfect movie for the two of us because it's equal you know so half the movie he is and you know taking care of the kid and the other half I'm living this New York Adventure Reese and Ashton played BFFs who hooked up on their first day but somehow stayed friends 20 years of friendship can you believe it he's a New York Bachelor she's a single mom in LA and they switched up Lifestyles to give her a break from parenting I hope that you get what you want out of this trip find yourself a hottie maybe get waxed waxed oh waxed waxed oh well that's just not gonna happen but as they flip-flop their lives they discover what's missing might be each other the night with Debbie and Ike spent together after I found myself thinking about her you have to tell her it's too late did you relate to your characters at all anyway Debbie and Peter oh sure yeah well I've been a single mom before and um the idea I think a lot of single moms are very pragmatic they're very careful they're very thoughtful and fearful about maybe making choices in their love life that might be wrong yeah I mean this whole thing I related to right like it was like somebody that you're friends with for years and years on end there's not a romantic connection there you're just friends and then then the switch flips and then suddenly you're married and uh having a life together have you ever had a friendship like Debbie and Peter and do you think that it possible yeah I mean I clearly have yeah this exact relationship exactly exactly the story of their life but then I got accepted the fundamental difference is is that our characters in the movie there's an instant like romantic spark and I didn't have that so does Ashton believe that two people can remain friends without benefits I fully believe that people that they're extraordinary platonic relationships between men and women that are beautiful wonderful extraordinary friendships and I think that if you're a guy and you don't have a woman who is a friend I think you're missing out on a piece of life that's interesting I like that yeah Ashton definitely has a pulse on matters of the heart in fact little familiar to you guys it's my girl he gave me love advice when I was on The Bachelorette are they serious I did did it really help oh no it really helped he actually said to me I'm telling you I'm looking around this room and your husband is not here and he told me to talk to him about Love Languages okay and read the book sapiens oh yeah I remember all this advice that's so wonderful and it worked and we've been married for three and a half years he's a group he's almost like I was like none of these you know why because they were all more interested in beating each other yeah which is perfect this is a Rob cough more collabs in the future should we Oh you mean between us between the two of you we're talking about it I mean we're talking about it I'm like we're talking about lots of different levels okay okay yeah a marathon maybe in the future oh my Lord I don't know how you did that I don't know I texted him right before he was doing it he was like ah I've heard my name my elbow my chin my ankle my hip my I was like okay the hardest thing about running a marathon is actually getting to the starting line because like if you train for it like you end up getting hurt like it's almost impossible then like and all my friends that I had like three friends that were all running with me and every every one of us had an injury that was like leading up to it that like knocks you out and so it's it's actually it's a it's a grueling thing I'm done are you glad you're done I had a bucket list my bucket list was to run a marathon not to be a marathon runner that's true John check please yes okay and you made a lot of you raised a lot of money these are very important cause after that explanation you're never doing it I wouldn't I don't know that's a no for me dog just doing this Randy Jackson would say on American Idol that's a no for me talk just in time for Valentine's Day your place or mine hits Netflix February 10th [Music] thank you
