[Music] game night tonight on game night a creeping evil has taken over the campus of our fair alma mater Miskatonic University and it's up to Deborah Aaron Nikki and Lincoln to stop it or the world will end in Arkham Horror final our a cooperative game from Fantasy Flight designed by Carlo a Rossi for one to four investigators so come along and watch us try to save the world in an hour or less or your unspeakable doom is free iron hi Deborah will you teach us Arkham Horror final hour I will let's see if our sanity can handle it all right Arkham Horror final hour is a hopefully quick and distilled version of the Arkham Horror experience our board game map here is of Miskatonic University the classic central the setting of a lot of Lovecraft stories and scenarios and as you know almost every other Arkham Horror game we are gonna cooperate as investigators to uncover and stop the unspeakable evil threatening our world and we're gonna do that by stopping a ritual which will take place at one of these locations those cultists always mine that get rid of the curse get rid of the hoodie the hoods the cloaks I mean they're gonna change up there so we're gonna go through the whole set up here on camera just show everything and the first thing we're gonna do with no information whatsoever because none of us have played this is pick investigators you will get your character token and your deck of cards we have no idea how these guys are different or what their abilities are or anything so just go ahead and pick one that looks good to you these are recurring characters from the Fantasy Flight Arkham Horror universe and so some of them we know that like this guy's the gangster and probably right senior that's good yeah they're all yeah she's like one of us alone with the money using like the martial arts we have the drifter with the dog I think ash can pee oh yeah sorry dog I can't named shuffle you're a little personal deck there what is his he's a cop but his motorcycle is called the the the old one you look on the cover it says the old one on the gas can so I think I'm gonna take that guy yeah you know buddy I'm gonna take the tunnel team I'll take the classic Tommy oh yeah all right so yeah so there are six available investigators and we are not using Rita young the athlete and I think this is Michael McGlinn the gangster does it stand apart on the bottom of your Tommy Muldoon yes I remember that Jenny Bob Lilley chick Jenny Barnes is that yeah she's a classic so that yours you're taking this socialite oh that's right she's the rich social all right you shove all up in this deck and you don't need to do anything with it yet the next thing we're going to do is put the monsters into the monster Cup you can use the game box for this you can use an actual cup or Bowl we have these cool little Arkham 10 open Nick you did the art for they're from the VA yes I like and that's where you will draw random monsters out of I have left a few here for some example purposes in a moment but you need some sort of opaque container to draw monsters out of now we're gonna choose the ancient one in the base game we have three I'm gonna have Debra pick a number from one get three and just randomly determine right now which card we have three all right should ml the apocalypse work well okay this is related to melly-mel or spice MLB or whatever so man we don't have Cthulhu or Oh Mord Hoff but those are the three in the basic game I'm sure they'll add more with expansions eventually now this tells us it has its own little set-up guide on the back first it has some special monsters Kisame ins which will go into the month or they don't go into the monster Cup they go next to the board here it'll tell us when to place them there are special monsters for the other guys that we will not use there are three difficulties easy normal and hard the game recommends that new players start on easy but we've played so many games in this video so we're gonna crank it and follow the instructions here art we place the ritual location on fraternity row location 14 that is our key location for the game there's a way for us to lose one man let's return here unless you're already religious ritual we have these are the gate tokens and there are three separate icons on them and this tells us where these gates go in this game that's different obviously these are the gate - yes neato Club so we place this symbol on elder faiths sanctuary this symbol on administration number nine and this one on Dorothy upman hall then take one of those at random and set it aside out of the game we need to not know which one is missing this so there are there's going to be two of one of those symbols and three of the other two to add on and make the gates more and more dangerous but one is just randomly removed from the game okay okay then make a stack of the rest of them if you would we're going to on Normal difficulty spawn one calf onion that's the special monster for this elder one at each gate location and they just go in an empty space here come back to what those do spawn two monsters at each other location except the ritual location so just grab two and I am in each of the each of the empty buildings that we haven't done so far not disco in the top yep it doesn't matter it does literally doesn't matter which space since the four evil we're gonna do it as a tie it's nice I like the well-dressed ya doom of the universe location and that is the net boys are called special set up for the least pretend to be however you want not there okay sorry uh is that holy cow just some other scary thing tentacle of some sort dude in the quad area uh-huh oh no we did a location it has I thought it was an empty space as well all of our characters start at the ritual location we we never filled these square spaces so you can just kind of kind of surround there and go near the number or something like that but that's what you [Applause] meet I know I don't see his dog's name yet I bet it's on part of the card some I hope so to everyone to attend relations except for these special ones okay okay the next thing to do is prepare the clues this is essentially what we need to figure out to win the game these these there are five symbols on these clues here and toward as we progress in the game we're gonna collect cards with these symbols on them but we don't know what the two we need to win the game art we're gonna try and figure it out by process of elimination what the two symbols that we need are but this is how I'm gonna set them up to determine what what what stops the so I really got that these are the five symbols II two of them are secretly gonna be here and one of the main jobs we have in the game is to find out what those symbols are so we know which cards are gonna win us the game at the end and which won't not so so that'd be like a process of elimination exactly this is now gonna be a stack of clues eight of which will go here to eliminate some and tell us what is less likely or not at all gonna be down here and then these three are keys which lets you draw an item okay this will be our clue stack here the clues of the the three three of them they mean draw an item and eight of them that mean they've been eliminated from the ritual possibility go on each of these locations the ones that doesn't need to give you so put those on the top ones there so yes we're gonna we're gonna visit and uncover these clues here and in a four player game we each have three hearts of of health for our characters in two or three player game you would get more for each investigator I'm gonna start as the leve investigator you can choose any player it's not random or a special little you know the last person who have been de man Massachusetts we seem determined like just for the beginning it does rotate clockwise a throughout the game but just you can just pick whoever's gonna start and I'm just gonna start for simplicity I mean we both have our jerseys I you have the - mom - you have the home team and this is the away jerseys so the last part of setup basically is we're all gonna get four of these priority cards but I'm not gonna do that yet because I want to show you what they are okay explanation so that's all of setup basically you have everything you need here's how a game turn will go we start with the action phase and starting with me the lead player I'm gonna draw one just the top card off of my deck and I'm gonna read it we can actually do this simultaneously to save some time so you can all draw one and read your card right but the important thing is the cards have essentially mostly good actions for us at the top half of the card and somewhat worse things on the bottom half of the card which will trigger monsters and and activate some bad things on the board but the bottom half often used also has an investigate action which is how you will uncover these clues sure the clever mechanic in this game is that we are every round going to activate the top half of two cards in the bottom half of two cards and these priority cards are how we determine which which which cards are going to activate that way so we're all gonna have a hand of for priority cards these are secret but you can look at your own of course always I'm gonna draw a card let's say I look at this and I think oh the top half looks pretty good I want to activate the top half of this card or something really bad happens on the bottom half that we don't need right now and I am going to look at this card put it facedown in front of me and then put one of my priority cards face-up on it so we see were years so you see how badly I sort of want that to happen the priority cards are numbered one through thirty okay and then when Nicky looks at her card and does the same thing let's say she puts the thirty on it you know yeah last that's last exactly but the first two cards will read the top half and the second two cards will read the bottom half and they go in numerical order okay based on based on based on the card that we've assigned a face-up so now you've seen that me and Nicky have played a nine and a thirty where you know that probably I want the top half of this card we're not allowed to discuss this at all this is all I went to communication just based on the numbers that we play and and how how well we can guess what our card effect is gonna be so the first two cards played our top and the second two are odd and it's always in straight numerical order all so if I want my top half plate I want to go lower numbers if I want my lower half plate I go higher and one through it's one through thirty one thirty is the highest she wants her alone she's guaranteed it right bling 29 and 30 there's no way no one anyone's gonna play less than and if you play one or two your tier card is gonna go first and it's gonna happen them so is the idea that possibly you want the top to go and the bottom ends up going because we because Debra didn't have the right number to play a higher one or or she thinks she hers is better and she plays a number two on it anyway just to uh you know she plays little lily is it because because maybe her card is like no I have to do this many way around yeah so that that's the activation order of the cards as soon as you play a priority card you will draw a fourth one so you're always gonna have a hand of four that's the first thing we do is we all play a card and put a priority card face-up on it in clockwise order so you'll see the other three numbers the first term you'll be the fourth plate then we resolve the actions we flip these over let's let's say let's just say that Lincoln played a for he wants to go first and so you might have played ten thinking that the top half of your card was gonna happen but this turn it's not we've got a four or a nine happening first so Lincoln would flip over his card his is the lowest number read the top half of his card and and we would do those actions same with me in this situation and then we would do the bottom half of yours and then the bottom half of Nicky's we do the priority cards in numerical order well you really could it's terrible potential right yeah I mean something you really just depends on yeah how would the other players second-guess you and the numbers they have in their hands once we've done that we will set our character cards aside but these cards we save cuz they determine another thing so we resolve all our actions on our cards then we discard all four of our cards here okay you'll see or do do with yours just to adjust prints aimlessly okay well this is in this case these triangle sim pyramides things these are called omen symbols and they determine the next step of the game a lot of the cards don't even have them we're not a lot but they they all have zero one or two so we're also determining how bad the next phase of the game is gonna be by these cards that we played okay because the next thing we do is the ancient one phase and we look at we we discarded cards with five home and symbols that thumbs up it is bad there's a there's a little table on the ancient one card if we had discarded one to two symbols we would spawn one of his special creatures at the Edda gate and if we discarded three or four we would damage locations but because we got to five or six we are it's called the terror below the lead investigator loses then damage their location one time and spawn a kisame in there so the more of these symbols that you discard the worse things that are going to happen so you might make choices based on that as well yes because again you being the fourth player in this first round you saw these first cards and you already see that there are four omens and ice being played out there I might not let's define exactly K these are of course all bad things it's going wrong monsters it's going to damage locations our perspective shoo-shoo days very very sad he was very happy all those symbols yeah once we do that that's the reckoning where we read what happens on his card based on these only symbols then we always open a gate we'll just flip over the network sorry we actually grow one of the gates there's three gates in this game and new ones don't open it other locations like the other games sort of okay it will just increase the essentially strength of one of these existing gates so we'll just pile it on top of there if I flip over this symbol we place it there it now has two tokens on it and we spawn two new monsters there if it has three tokens on it you spawn three new monsters there if a location let's say we had already let's say something had already caused this location to be full and we flip this over and it's supposed to spawn two new monsters there they would immediately move to the next location and they say with the arrows to us and that's what the colors of the monster this blue monster would move here to the next blue space and if I drew a red one it would move to the next red it seems a really horrible things stacking it up so what about these here you said that these special ones would spawn and they're already on the board they are already on the board because we're playing normal difficulty if we run easy they would be set aside for now the good news and it's very rare in Arkham games that something actually breaks in our favor is if they're already all on the board when it says to spawn one you just don't do it so if they are okay we're taking off the offense acts some action of ours you can't go back back on yes but if they are our over there we get us so all focused on the other ones first well I'm thinking that these are just do it harm and then the end of the turn is we pass the lead investigator to them earlier and start the next turn but we we've skipped over the meat of the game is in the actions which is how we will damage monsters and clear them and investigate the buildings to get new clues and the bottom half of the cards will cause the monsters to move around and activate which is also bad or will have effects on the game anyway so let's let's look at what let's let's all flip over the card that we were exampling okay and just see what they do and I can then it can explain me the effects of it Lincoln you were first just read the top half of your card as if we had activate so take the high ground move up to three times or attack monsters at your location for three strengths I guess or three three strengths are Street three healthy okay then repair your location two times okay so my instructors depth Academy would be proud gotta read that stuff I love the flavor even the flavor Texas boiled down to like innocence or very very small phrase Minds even half a phrase so you can move up to three times we the characters always move on these stone pathways sometimes the monsters will shortcut across a courtyard or so but we can't use those red arrows um but on yours you're gonna move up to three times you don't have to move at all you're not forced to but you might say want to move one two three over here and start attacking these monsters and it said what attack up to three and throw or attack monsters at your location for three or okay yeah so in this case this is a bad example of since us we start the game in the only location with no monsters but if you were in a location with a monster are these the damage that I would be repaired on that that's the damage to the buildings that you would be that's what I'm saying cuz it says then repair your location two times that's another thing that like obviously this is not a great first card to draw right we don't have any dam repair yet but the monsters you can see mostly have one two three that's just the health damage you need to do and combat in this game is as simple as the card said he damaged it three times so he could just knock this guy out or three ones or a 2 and a 1 or whatever nice yeah it's there's no die rolling there's no combat skill it's very simple and let's say mine was the next one so again you don't have to move that full range bases or whatever and of course oh and if let's say if you were at a space with a three strength monster and your card said only do one or two damage to it that does nothing in this game monster immediately heals back to full health there's no be full every damage on yeah it doesn't stack and carry over from turn you either kill it or you don't that's all there is in this game - somewhat similar I'm the socialite and a little birdie told me something is my move up to one time then attack monsters for up to two damage then choose another investigator you and that investigator each draw a priority card and then discard one so it lets us tune our hand of cards a little bit okay so that those were the top half so you see that usually it's moving around repairing the damage that will go on these buildings and fighting the monsters so never read the bottom half although I think top half might be helpful look at her oh she's if I if I get if I can move two times and attack monsters at my location for - I'm gonna call it Kapow but it says if I attack but at least one head monster like in intellect monster I can attack for three Kapow instead oh ok so I guess there's different types of monsters yeah they have these aside it's actually just their activation symbols umm so that I would maybe want to use my two-times movement to get to one of those one of those particular types if I can these are actually very symbols very simple terms this is a killer monster this is a runner monster and this is a wrecker mouse okay okay and since there really aren't that many game mechanics you can actually probably already guess what they do kill their monsters yeah runner monsters move extra and wrecker monsters will place damage on the bill okay what's good so that's it so but my bad yours had a fish special yes madam was was move up to one time then investigate your location so does that mean I would yes that's exactly what it means it will either have a red symbol which will put down here to sort of figure out what these are or it will allow you to draw one item okay and then unfortunately two monsters spawn at my location okay so for Lily well let's read into mickey's just for completeness but that's basically the bottom ones will let you do some things and they do contain the investigation action which we definitely want to do at some so you have to sometimes go for the lower one just to get that investment just to get that token - yes yeah the strategy to like going someplace where there are no monsters so that when to spawn it's not as bad a hit or some I think there would be yeah additionally what happens if a building becomes fully damaged it just means that mod there's no room for monsters they just immediately move out and you know let's only mission Nikki's let's do Nikki's card then I'll tell you the one way we ran in three ways bananas right okay Wow okay so the second part is move up to one time then investigate your location then a monster spawns at each gate at each gate okay so very similar yeah yeah seem like it's gonna be sort of an overwhelming game with monsters everywhere but we'll see how that goes well there's no dice and I'm kind of bummed I'm ready to roll yeah I know give me my pie a pile of dice to check on the table okay the the three ways to lose this game are any one of our investigators goes down to zero health one of us has all gray health game older immediately so if I have taken two damaged somehow we definitely want to start prioritizing actions that will heal people that is that is something that will want to be aware of and it's all on the cards here the second way to win the game lose the game if the ritual location is full of monsters and or damage although and we're supposed to place a monster there or a monster moves there from any effect okay so that is our number one priority to keep clear of monsters and damage so they're not gonna spawn here but they will move but they won't move there yes okay and or damage there yeah yeah that's bad these may be our first priorities is that they won't be making us wait looks like they feed and luckily these are blue they'll go here oh that's true that is lucky but yeah we don't want monsters to have a clear path to be running in it the third way we live this blue one correction the other way oh let it for Sue and it can only be read oh and it can only be read that's actually nice and handy the blue ones will just circle a different method never go there so if we ever get to that point but how does this happen that Oh cuz it's another game another thing would be a ritual location yeah that's actually good to know so really the red ones are the dangerous ones the blue ones if we had to we could just let them run them up you know collateral damage it's always red Wreckers yes yes I think I think wreckers tend to be the toughest monsters we're not dealing with sanity there's no sanity in this they're all abstracted just to help where's my sanity markers okay this is the flipside of winning and the only way we win this game is stopping the ritual and here's how we do that the game can go a maximum of eight rounds so this token is gonna circle our four player table twice exactly at the most at the end of any round we can all discuss without revealing exactly what cards are in our hand whether we think we're ready to attempt the ritual or not but it's like it's like clue if you're wrong the game is over anyway okay right if you lose the games at the end of the eighth round - DNA - we must attempt to stop the ritual so if we haven't done it by then it'll happen at the end of the eighth round and that's the end of the game by then we should have some idea what these symbols are these two symbols are what you want on these cards in your hand left in your hand left in your hand we want to have as many of those as possible let's say throughout the game we have flipped over and investigated - our glass tokens so we know that there's not an hourglass still in here like in those keep the others right trash those cards came up the others and maybe we have maybe we found one of each of these middle things so they are slightly less likely to appear in the bottom of thing here but we haven't found any of this clover 'some but there's 10 total there oh no you see there's three other get items things like nothing there are eight on the board and two here if we find all eight then we know exactly what these do are and exactly what cards when you do that's a safe the rituals very Sofia rituals very simple we have sixteen cards among us we are gonna commit three cards each we're gonna commit twelve cards total and we must have in the you must have twice as many cards as players match the symbols so for us we need eight out of eight of those twelve or more of course to match whatever these two mystery symbols are if we do that just looking at these symbols in the corner we have stopped the ritual in one name there's no like minimum level of each one it just needs to be it's just eight total eight matching symbols or more we win and 7 or less Wheeler's eight of those two eight of these - that's right k if we're really good and happy all we need to get through our deck potentially and and at at some point start saving cards that you think are or good English yes I'm sayin definitely once you start that's another reason that you might not be able to play they only want me to play or they may want to play you I've got to save this hourglass for the end of the game hmm yeah I'm gonna be hard all right here let's have four of those give everyone four okay okay did everybody shuffle up there investigate you know yeah put it shuffled in do it was a bad card anyways I don't want that on top the one thing that I haven't explained it's on the bottom of our player of aid cards here is monster activations which will generally happen from the bottom half of those action cards they'll generally be one of our bad effect type things I explained how when we flip over a gate token the monsters are gonna spawn there and they're gonna move if the location is full and we saw how the action cards will sometimes move a monster but sometimes it'll tell you to activate all the monsters in your location or activate all the monsters in a certain location or even activate all the monsters in the purple zone like everything in this whole third of the rules he's out of reach my fault in that that's when we look at these symbols on the monsters and if it for instance if it was the purple zone we would activate all them up we would actually these buildings in numerical order so we would do six seven eight nine ten okay made each monster in the location okay some monsters don't have a special symbol so nothing happens when you activate them the killer monsters will damage an investigator at their location the runner monsters will move and like we explained that the blue ones will move towards the blue arrows the red ones are a little faster so sometimes they will cut across the yard to get to another building and the Recker monsters will damage the location that they're in so is there any way that a monster that isn't a mover would move is it only if its spawn it's only if it's supposed to spawn or move to a full location yes unless unless there's a card that just says move every monster that exists sure but and as we mentioned that the Cafone ian's the special monsters are both damages and movers so they're sort of the most dangerous monster movers and shakers that I was about she's been around me - thank you if there's a wrecker monster here and we activate this location he's gonna wreck this space and then move to an empty space oh but you can see now that it might also cause him to move because if he wrecks this final space he's gonna immediately move down the ring path to the next space and until he finds it in Randy's okay oh good cause yeah they would they could cascade they could absolutely cause a cascade of horror across it and now that I've looked at all these I remember that I had these four monsters out for sample purposes and we should reseed the below left Sun so DUII in the bag what it was the determine we should finish where these his special ones went to negative ages they just go on the game right now so go ahead and put two on everything that you not ate and not our starting location start that again I'm gonna give you two and you can start on that end [Laughter] start here Lincoln there's two go ever read there we were so lucky before we had no red in that danger zone well we're close are that does something wrong what about these oh thank you that is we will get to this because it'll come up on action cards but it's the last thing that we don't know about yet these are seals they are good for us so if you find an action that places a seal we might want to think carefully about doing that especially if it's gonna stop monsters from moving into a dangerous location or the ritual location or something of that well we're never gonna survive unless we get a little crazy [Laughter] these will go on a pathway here and the next time a monster is supposed to move down that pathway it'll be destroyed instead the seal will flip over to gray and it will still destroy the next monster that comes down there and then we discard them so the seals are w's but they're not destroyed two monsters that try to move through that pathway so yes those would be good ways to block up a pathway and kill some monsters that's everything we are ready to go we I'm the first player we are gonna save time by all reading our cards simultaneously but technically I draw and play my card with a prior already card first so I'm gonna play this we have no idea what symbols to be saving yet so we're only looking at the numbers and the omens on the card I am playing that card I play a 14 with no symbols Wow well the zones are much bigger than I thought and they spread like there must be something at that green zone yeah the green right yeah 14 Wow it's the beginning of the game do it she's like number one she's going for it okay so that means you want the top half the Karthik done okay well maybe I saved the but it's a bunch of symbols so - yeah how much discussion can we yeah at this point zero at this point you're only guessing a lot obviously you know she's gonna wants to go first okay with less players one person will play two cards right or two people will play two cards if there's just a two-player game so you sort of you'd you'd have foreknowledge of your own karma at that point you would look at your first card play a card on it but then you would know at least what was probably a movie yeah yeah no crazy are you well one thing to keep in mind is we have three omen symbols right yeah one more doesn't do one more doesn't changing right - more wood bumps at up to five six insist on going first no that's what insist on going on second yeah I think that's I mean now I can tell you I played a middle number because it didn't particularly matter either way I was sort of signaling to you guys that like I don't need to go I want to do a play I wanted to play a higher number but add two of the symbols oh yeah I think those like he's gonna go first so yeah I think this for the next phase but I'm top part of your top part of my card is move up to up to one time then attack monsters at your location for two if there are two of the symbols on your card um on the priority card you play with this action attack for for instead nice very nice I thought I'd go for that three guy over there or maybe or this yeah so she can clear this is this space or the three from there I think yeah I like that okay you're right there moving in that's way better so my whatever I'll be fine - can it wouldn't it five Souls 100 only get one - would have stayed now this is discussed based on what we have exams if you if you were sure that you were gonna go there and clear that space applies her to go somewhere else yes unfortunately that wasn't gonna happen to me which I think if I could have played the top half it would have been now it's now since we sort of all know what our cards are gonna do we could actually we could definitely get what is yours uh so I don't you're pushing us you don't have to tell us yet right or does she case I'm next but we finished her I didn't train the-- yeah no flavor flavor tag please please do the right place the right time the right friend by my side oh your dog no I think it's just like lucky or something yeah - compete and he's a he's a the dog has his own cards so does it happen oh yeah cleared up yeah damage there goes big over next to the monster cuddle needs to be utilities to be refilled quick ahead and the clue marker that has to be individually if someone took an investigative action a text so I'm next I did not want the bottom because it activates all of the Greens okay so I can move up to two times then attack monsters at my location for three Kapow or I can lose a health and attack for ten inside but I was thinking it might make sense to go and just knock out one of the bad spawners I mean ten is a lot but we don't have anything that kind of even compares to that no that's that's for the end of the game when there's Lee two or three two three right later the whole thing yes so it's every danger is an opportunity oh right I hear it I will get advice based on my card please go to the Green Zone if you can and clip a clear one there's some Green Zone okay I will tell you that the Purple's it I can go here and clear both of these Reds so I think that's in there's gonna be bad right so okay go but and we can't get there yeah that's all the way across campus it's jump to the athletic yeah no you actually you actually take these paths because this is not a path that's right that's not it fantastic if I del to it this one I jump to the humanities humanities building and then out to the quad and I destroy both of these frisbee playing wonderful Hackney dude things are really tough ticket she was she was flipping whips that's why I wanted to rolling up the drainpipes she's super ninja is it no it's you this goes with the bottom yeah I mean it's not gonna come back there powerfully like to discard it alright yes I am reading the bottom half of this card move up to one time so at least I can do something I suppose you're there you're there Lincoln do you care what do you are you moving as funny I was gonna prime probably investigate here then I'll go here just to set up for a later investigations and stuff so I'm here at the humanities believe that's what I can do then then investigate your location yay-hey it is less likely to be that darkness still then activate monsters in the green zone locations 5 so we start here this will damage a space and then move and I've clearly blue monsters so it's gonna move here it recommends this will not be necessary here but like we would 45 to show the boss red show okay that it's not gonna activate again on this card okay it doesn't really matter because we're only doing the green ones but for instance if it had moved here so now we would want to reactivate it again the Student Union these look like they're both going to move so they will move their to the Dorothea up in Hall the quad is conveniently empty or library has to record on stirs damages woof that's terrible yes there is still room for them to stay yeah I mean I used a fighter she's a lesser I think I'm just a sneaker like I used cards and I do minor combats yeah I just I just killed thinks the only thing medication my options we have two maybe one of the items this item destroys two monsters this item cancels a bottom effect of a card hmm this item teleports you to any location I never really got to use any of the good stuff I had things that we have many seals there could have been coming up yeah this one repairs twice or heals twice repairs four times or heels to I and this so there there are some good items and I feel like we got some mediocre ones but it's hard to it's it's like a lot of coops the cascading effect that you in fact I mean I have one I was gonna say we definitely need a seal on this thing guys yeah yeah are you tracking what would happen if a different color activated no I'm tracking if I had gotten my turn what would what would have happened anything no more death okay we think Nick it's really good the the not being able to discuss really fleshed out keeps the random and the not knowing really what's gonna happen in the game which is good because the bigger version of course has up because you're drawing from so many different piles kind of index and this way there's less to draw from but you you're not in total control of what your cards are gonna do based on what other people do so I like that mechanic I don't know if I've seen that before no in this way where you can't do now if we could discuss I could choose a better number you know that sort of thing I do like makes that easily interesting is the eyes yeah it really makes it because you have you you have repercussions based on that stuff which is fantastic you know what I mean alright I couldn't do what I wanted to do and I that week we would have lost either way right so if I had taken the to Lilly would have died and that would have been an so it was well now it's not necessarily because if you had if he was it she could have moved out of the way and not taking the hit oh right that would have been she would have been okay yeah what did you think Evra um I mean it's good it's it's so interesting like I was I was kept thinking about the we didn't even get to the to the point of thinking about the new aspect of it I think we should look at it at the end yeah I I didn't I didn't concern myself are you those sometime so yeah just sort of a third of the game yes absolutely so I don't know if that's a good thing for the game or a bad thing for the game or you know you said to keep playing until you can get to all all aspects of it well I had no diamonds in my hand so that's pretty cool I do so I know I have a wasted I had I had two diamonds I walk up to that I'd have dots that's bad though but we were only halfway through so I can use them in a ways they're like free cards right and one was a zero iron one was a single I um I do like I think that this priority mechanism as well as not knowing what card you're gonna get returned absolutely sort of replaces the dice West's dread and replaces the random map oh yeah I know I really don't want that second half then I have this I had a twenty four double eye and I'm going when would you ever but that was when I said that was like one of the times I dumped one of those high cards like okay this doesn't matter now right you just have to find that time yeah where it's okay that time window right right I kept thinking I was like please tell me one of those moon we're keep it till a shape like think about we never actually got this deep into it but remember three and four is the one that damages locations based on numbers so if we played 2000 then four would do absolutely nothing if you played that and I played this and she played one with one and he played one with one then nothing would be damaged we would have all played cards that didn't correspond to locations right I think you could make your sobbing yeah you could for that play is you could kind of figure out how to mitigate exactly and of course that was just this ancient one yeah the other ones are different right so I like that those those random elements sort of replace the dice rolls I think like you you know what your cards are gonna do but you don't know what car I actually I think that I I don't miss the dice at all and I also like that we didn't really know these I'm the first number so no I almost feel we shouldn't look at any of those till it actually happens is these yes you do need to know the desert of whatever decision factors yeah we went in pretty point yeah they'd have you cover this up and I didn't want you to you should know yeah it was more realistic are we in the earthquake let's look at these and just see how terrible our cards would have been so we would have needed hourglass and gamers to do what exactly to win too close to clover I have nothing okay our guys and our I have three our glasses okay so we could have had six and a clover well yeah yeah we hadn't tuned our hands alohanet we had found out that even if we knew saved three of the symbols it's gonna be two of those three we would have been able to prepare for that but unfortunately we didn't I there's areas then okay so once we got most of those uncovered we want prepared for the end of the game but yeah I like like all cascading disaster I want the board just got way ahead of us know yeah so we were just getting to the halfway point yes but our board is so full I don't know if we would have been possible ever animation right we really not that we did anything really wrong well I mean the here's the downer we need to look at the other characters maybe there's something there because we have healing is tremendously and repairing yeah was long and I had a little bit of that you know there was another one so i had that one that let me repair that location two times then i had one that was just that you know basically move up to two times then repair this your location two times so it was you know hey rookie mistake damage your location and each of gee what questions everybody yeah now knowing what you know would you recommend that people actually do start on the easy difficulty now i wanted to say my character did have two cards that do the healing what it's one health an investigator at your location recovers one health but i had we were just if if that was the car we were discussing me moving there that would have been that was the car door as well but I had repair I guess that's kind of thematically related to being a policeman seeing I'm just the gangster guy has bearing Yolo repair yeah Rita neither Rita Rita moves fast yeah she's a because she's sporty she attacks and then she can leave seals I think everybody has a couple seal but she can also like she can treat red paths as walkways Wow cuz she's 40 yeah she over the lake here stuff like that Wow wow that's actually pretty because this was a pain in the butt yeah the same turn I know I do think there are better items too and we sort of got a couple that were a little bit I would I would play this again I said now that we don't sort of how it goes yeah we
