ARK SURVIVAL ASCENDED HOW TO TAME A MESOPITHECUS

hey everybody how's it going I'm Sy welcome back to another short video folks today in this video I'm going to show you everything that you need to know with regards to taming a mesopithecus here in Ark survival ascended um also Arc survival evolved the same method applies and in terms of food it prefers the simple kibble but you can of course also use veggies and berries so right there difference between kibble and berries is of course you will T it a lot quicker with the kibble and so therefore lose fewer levels with regards to its taming Effectiveness now the mesopithecus is a um passive tame which does mean that it can be a bit buggy I do recommend having a ghilly suit as you see right here that allows us to get close to it without spooking it if we get too close and uh we don't have a ghilly suit we run the risk of spooking it which will mean it will run away now we do have a bit of a time frame in which we can do this from the first feed if we mess it up the chances are that the monkey or the mesopithecus will glitch out as you walk behind it you can see we get a prompt for the feed with the kibble on my server with my settings It Only Takes Two feeds and we have it tamed I'm going to do one with a berry feed so you can see what the difference is and what a big difference it is it is a huge astronomical difference it will be much much much more difficult to tame a high level mesopithecus on berries now there is a little thing that does happen with berries after so long the mesopithecus will start to lose um The Taming bar it will go down basically and as you feed it your B basically fighting a bar that constantly decreases which does make it a bit more difficult now you need to be careful as you're temping it because if you do get too close to it you will spook it it will run away which then will eat into your timer that you have to time it so let's do this with the berry so you can see what happen try and creep up behind it there we go and that's how much we got from a berry now as time goes on this will take um or will become more and more difficult as its taming bar will go down and something really weird happens when you do start uh taming a mesopithecus its food bar will go down and if you spook it and I'll show you that as well and then try and tame it again uh its food bar won't go down which won't allow you to feed it uh but its health will start to drop so I'll show you that as well so it really don't want to mess this up all right I've spooked it as you can see right here uh if you do that for example and the way I spooked It Is by getting too close to it uh just give it some space let it do its thing let it run about after a certain while it will stop running and as you can see it timing bar is constantly dropping so I'm hoping that it doesn't drop too much I mean I going to hit it so you guys can see what happens when it resets its timing bar CU that is a thing as well uh just so that you guys are aware of it okay let's try this so now we're fighting against a taming bar that constantly drops down so that makes the taming that much more longer so I'm trying to show you it but as you can see it's slowly depleting so basically each Berry now from this point forward is only gaining about half of The Taming Effectiveness or taming that it got before which means yeah it's going to take a long while now I'm going to do this with the simple kibble right here so I've reset the mesopithecus taming bar by hitting it it's run off I've given it time to cool off and let me show you what happens if that happens to you so we can put in the first one and that's pretty much it from here on as you can see its health will be dropping down but its food will not deplete in other words with time the mesopithecus will end up dying with a full bar of Health uh with a full bar of food is what I meant cuz that does not drop instead the health does drop so I'm trying to show you it as well so just keep an eye out on the health there you go as you can see it's dropping and nothing no changes is happening to the food so it's not dropping I can't really feed it again that's pretty much it do be aware that this is thing I hope this gets fixed rather soon uh it seems like all passive tames at the moment in the game are a bit buggy from what I've seen so everything I've tried to passively tame doesn't really work out as I thought it would that's pretty much it folks that is how you tame a mesopithecus these things are pretty useful in PvP they can unlock doors if you put them in an enemy's base and if you get attacked they will throw poop at your enemies which will blind them so they have a bit of a use but more than that they are actually quite cool looking thank you also very much for
