[Music] [Music] oh [Music] yeah [Music] [Music] oh [Music] [Music] oh [Music] hey everyone it's Dan and welcome back to another tutorial this time we're looking at the cliffside house uh I hope you're all doing really well I just want to start off this video by saying a massive thank you to every single one of you thank you so much we just hit 3K Subs yesterday um which is incredible given that we started doing this properly about a month ago now it's amazing the progress we've made uh thank you all so much for continued liking viewing subscribing just all the support the comments have all been amazing thank you so so much for yeah watching my stuff and uh continuing to be so kind and and lovely thanks everyone so much so the location for this build is uh on one of the mountains on the east side of the map you can see it here these are my bases on another server so you can ignore those um this is a spot here so you got the coordinates at the bottom there 33.5 87.1 so it's just up on this ledge up here on this mountain on the east side of the map and this build should work in most locations really I mean even if you want to build it as a flat house on a flat bit of land it will work which is nice obviously the amount of resources that I've included in the list which you'll be able to see in a moment um is designed for this area on this mountain so depending on what kind of Cliff you're building it on if it's a steeper one or a shallower one you you might need more or less p but other than that this one should work anywhere you like really I just picked this spot I think it's quite nice up here and you always got really good views got green Obelisk down there uh it can be a bit laggy just bear that in mind when you build this um simply because of the clouds which I hope get um optimized a bit better in the future they still they still when it clouds over big time it can give you quite a big frame drop obviously if you're not using clouds it won't really matter but just bear that in mind so on the screen now you'll have the list of things you'll need to make this build and with all my builds in the game rules and structure to stable structure placement is set to on okay so to begin with you want to grab your wooden foundations so we got three of those they just go along the edge of the cliff here like this um you want to get them relatively close just sort of up to the edge really um of this lighter patch of ground you're going to start up here near this bush and then go across three times now wooden ceilings we're going to go out three initially then three across so you got this 3x3 section there like that uh next we'll begin with the pillars to the uh Cliff below so you want to grab a cable for this this will give us a lower snap Point like that and then you can come all the way down till it intersects with the cliff below like that you can pick this up and do the same on the other side so that intersects as well down there like that and you can pick this up reason I do this is because that way you can get this uh the wooden beam underneath I quite like the idea of the house being supported by this be uh sort of pillar structure we'll put underneath but not actually attached attached to it so switch these to beams and I'm just going to go all the way across and get until it intersects with the cliff at the back here same again on this side like that okay next we'll continue with the pillars going vertically down they're going to come down from here like this again get them into the ground if you need to go down another level so that one's all the way as far down as it can go and same again here as well and then come to the other side and repeat that making sure it's intersecting with the cliff on the bottom same again there next we're going to grab the quter wall switch those to railings and then you're going to put them in these gaps here like so so one the correct way up one underneath and flipped vertically I'm do the same on this side but just on this outermost section like that this Gap here is going to be for the stairs to get to the platform underneath later [Music] on for okay next you'll get your pillars and go to the centermost ceiling of that 3x3 platform at the top and just build down until you hit the cliff below get rid of that one out the back like that and go to your wooden ceilings and just place that on top of the lowermost pillar you want just come out two with that gra your call to ceilings switch them to the triangle ceiling and they go along the edge like that and we're going to come down to this pillar at the edge here place a quarter wall like that gra a pillar snap it there so it intersects with the pillars that we had in place already then switch one of the pillars to a beam like that it should snap underneath the quarter wall Place one more L there like that as well we'll come around do the same thing on this side C a wall on the pillar and grab your pillars sorry first your you want to snap it there like that so it intersects with the pillars already in place switch to the beams snap it there so it goes underneath the quarter wall back to a pillar and put one on the end like that now we can continue with the rest of the platform like this so you want to grab your qu ceilings again leaving them as triangles Place one in the middle and full ceilings either side of that one back to the quarter ceilings triangles here on the ends come back to this side go back to your quter walls switch to a railing we look at the top of the vertical pill out here snap till we get the the steepest angled down railing like that and place it and then snap it to the beam and flip like that and then underneath you're going to be looking for that railing in sorry the the pillar in the Rock there like that and you'll get a slight slope up like so underneath then go ahead and pick up this quarter wo like that and then go ahead and pick up the pillar as well which should be down on this lower snap Point like that come to the other side we'll do the same thing with the railings again looking at this outermost ped you want to keep going until you get the vertical or the steepest sorry snap Point like that look for the beam and snap it and invert it then come underneath and then you get that shadow angle we're just snapping off of that pillar there like that okay we can now go and pick up the pillar could be a bit hit Miss which one you get hopefully it's the right one as you can see here it isn't go ahead and pick it up again like that if everything's done correctly it should just stay there like it has you can see there's obviously no pillar joining just go ahead and put it back in like that and then we're back to normal it's a bit Filly that bit um but it does obviously give you the extra support we can then extend the roof out or The Landing Pad sorry and it structurally looks good as well looks like it all works together nicely and the last bit before we finish the landing pad come underneath with your railings and put one in the middle here like this and flip it then one going to the edge so out to the pillars again flip it the right way up and you can get a snap point that angles downwards and flip that one upside down the same again over here we'll flip it the right way up going out to the pillar and then get the one facing down like that and flip it upside down and that again just gives you some some of that structure element to the underside there feels like it's all quite sturdy can support you know Birds Landing on it and things like that it it looks good it looks like it it would work then we can come back to The Landing Pad we're going to finish off the triangles like that and grab your full ceilings and then lastly back to the triangles and fill in the Gap there like that and that's the landing pad done can then come in here and pick up the wooden pillar underneath as well and grab that one too like that and then we'll just go in and add the railings it's that little Finishing Touch so you're just going one on this triangle ceiling here and then one on this one here where the pillar intersects like that now coming to the back end of the landing area then go ahead grab a quarter ceiling as a triangle and just fill in that Gap at the back grab your cording again switch it to the ceiling I'm just going to snap four ceiling pieces out here like that and that's going to join onto the stairs when we start coming down from the top okay we'll finish off the underside of the decking for the landing area and grab some quarter walls again using the railings I'm going to do the same thing we did underneath here but just along the top here like this so go ahead and put the first one in the middle invert it right way up over here get the downward angle flip it upside down like that same again over here flip it the right way up on the right hand side downward angle flip it upside down and place and we'll do the same again at the uh back over here you're going to start this one from the pillars like that and then go ahead and flip the one the right way up and place it above like so same again over here like that right way up and place above like so and underneath going long ways so from Back to Front you're just going to place them upside down along the base like that coming out to the front and again you're going to go out one more like so and that's going to be all your Underside supports I think that looks really nice like like ging um and again just some structural support it just all looks like it should work you know um all fits in really nice at least I think so I think it's a nice touch so come back to the top we can finish the rest of the decking off so going flip those the right way up shouldn't be upside down place them along the front just one row of three ceilings there out like that and then go back to your quarter ceilings with the triangles and that's going to come along the front all the way along and again out two more to the side as you can probably guess that's going to line up our stairs down to the bottom level so we'll go ahead and place those now grab your roof pieces switch them to the stairs get the lower snap point and again there now it's not a perfect lineup as you can see but I think it does the job nicely it saves you're having to intersect to any piece I know some people struggle with that so hopefully this works for you of course you can pick up these quarter walls we placed earlier and and actually snap the ceiling pieces off of the stairs you'll just get a little Gap here which you can fill in it'll just mean it's overlapping with the other bits we placed earlier if that makes sense I appreciate that's a bit confusing um but you can play around with that join if you like on your own so we'll get to welome putting the rest of the pillars in for the corners of the house now so go ahead and grab those pillars first off on this outermost pillar here we'll snap it using the ceiling so you'll get an overlap there the same again on this side put one here and that'll make up the edge of the house later on on this side we use the pillars underneath to snap the first one and then again like the others we'll be to overlap by using the ceiling to get the second snap Point come to the foundations of the front going to place two here so I realized that pillar was already placed so you're putting two down there like that see this one's already here again place that I did not show you that apologies so you're putting two here one on the lower level and one on the corner top corner so it intersects with the ground nicely and then over here you can grab your pillar and use the lower snap point on the ceiling to snap it there like that and the last one we'll do is one in that corner there like so one here and one more underneath like that it's going to be your main lower level pillars they're done now grab your ceilings going start putting that some of that decking out for the crop plots later on so that's where they're going to sit now coming underneath with the quarter walls again set to railings we snap down one flip it upside down and then we're looking for the snap Point like that so you're looking underneath the join and the shallower of the two angles you'll get you'll get a steeper one but that's too high so just like that do the same thing over here flip it upside down looking for that join and there you go just a shallower of the two options there and that's how that should look there for you next what we'll do is we'll start placing the the walls for the the base of the house let's go ahead and grab those first you want to place a doorway next to wall another wall and then a window on the end like that up here is a double doorway I keep skipping the window sorry about that you want a window here and this walls all the way here to the back and then again along that side like so see lower platform of the house done okay we'll start with the top floor now grab your ceiling pieces and place them along the top leave a gap at the back there that's going to be for the stairs and then go ahead and grab your walls these going to be flipped and orientated so they show the lighter color on the outside like that grab that one apologies for that grab a wooden wall and place one there like so one more here then a window wall here going flip it so the lighter side is showing on the outside Swit your double doorway place that L like that now you want to grabb your quarter walls place them here and flip them want to grab a wooden wall switch to the Secret Door flip it like so then again on this back corner it's going to be the cter walls again flip so the darker sides on the inside and the lighter sides showing on the outside and along the back switch to window walls again flip them place two there like so now along this left hand side where we place a secret wall you want to get your W walls again and switch at Double doorways and you're placing that say snap to the normal orientation so you get the light car on the inside now that goes along the entire side there like that gives quite a nice sort of beam look on the inside and it seals the gaps up nicely as well and divides the windows and next what we'll do is we'll Place one more cter wall here and then from this switch your wooden ramps come over here snap to the outmost quarter wall and we'll go along the entire top section like that out to here until it meets that pillar at the edge like so and soorry we'll finish that off with one more quarter wall in there like that place a pillar a snap to those quarter walls that sort of fills that Gap in there doesn't leave you with any Jagged edges place a quter wall here so we can get another snap point to put a pillar there like that we can go ahead and pick it up and then go back to the quarter wall switch to railings and place along the edge like that and whilst we're here we'll go ahead and do the bits around the balcony and then also the stairs down to the lower level like so and this is editing down coming back in just to add a bit bit that I forgot when I was making the build I apologize um just uh four quarter walls across the top of the uh exterior doors for the lower level just gives you a nice porch piece there like that okay next we'll get started with the roof it's the usual with my builds I'm go ahead and flip that so it's a lighter color showing on the inside so you flip that top one of course course like that and grab your slopes W and more pieces and snap to the edges and then again to these top quarter walls like that that completes the end piece for the roof we'll do the same thing again over here grab your quarter walls flip it so the lighter sh sewing on the inside and switch to the other variant for the top layer like that and then grab your sloped wooden pieces and same again here as well with a top layer like that now for the tops okay the usual switch into the quarter ceilings two across the top layer of the quarter walls like that and then one quarter wall on the top I'm go ahe and do the same on this side just for a symmetry like so okay once that's done want to come back to this wall here and just take out the bottom level of the quarter walls and grab a wooden wall with the doorway and snap that on the inside like so now we'll go ahead and put the roof on again switch to the roof snap to the lower level first like that and into the top level second and again do the bottom level all the way across first and the top level after come to the other side do the same thing again again starting with the bottom layer the top come along with the bottom layer first and then the top layer second like that that's the roof done and then on this section where we put the doorway going to want to snap a ceiling like that that's going to support our water tank later on now we'll come back on the inside finish this layer grab your quarter walls place them along the top again flip so the lighter color shows up on the inside same again on this side like that then we'll fill in these windows so I go to the railings want to select the quarter ceiling to for the snap Point press Q to bring it down down and then place again press Q to bring it up and flip like that then we'll repeat that process with the other windows like so now along the top of the roof in here again switching to a railing you want to snap to that quter wall so it's going to intersect again on this side like that and fill the Gap in the middle and then over here going to snap it to the roof and flip it upside down so you get that long straight bit underneath again same over here we can find the snap point there you go and again on this side as well again can be a bit of a challenge sometimes finding the snap Point almost got it it's teasing us there we go like that and again that just creates sort of some interior support for the roof that looks quite good now we'll go ahead and finish the water tank and support area so grab the ceilings sorry the quarter walls as railings flip inverted for these Edge pieces like that you want to go for your pillars and you're going to snap those in there like so onto the roof end piece and then back to the railings and you're going to down like that so you're looking for the steepest angle downwards like so and that's going to be a support area for the water tank and in here fill that in with a a door like so and down doing edits back here again uh just putting in these torch pieces which need to go or can go I say need to it's up to you but I put them there like that just either side of the water tank ceiling a bit more Lighting on the outside area at night time there like that and inside here goes the rope ladder like that that gives you access to to it up at the top now continuing on the insides we'll put our wooden beams down so you're going to snap to the quarter wall or sorry to the sloped wall on the outside there like that then go all the way across and use Q to get the snap points and same on this side like that go ahead and place the pillars in the corners and then one more snapping it to the quarter walls on the edge and then same as on this side to put pillars up there like that on the roof end piece over there now coming to the mid level between the top and the bottom floor place beams along the edge and around the balcony around there too and that just wraps all the way around the bottom level so now we'll go ahead and put the windows and doors in first what we will do though is put the veiling here for the stairs now the back is two Greenhouse Windows like that Greenhouse window at the front and then Greenhouse double door out to the balcony then we'll come down here Greenhouse double doors at the front for the lower level and then it's reinforced doors for the windows I do flip them so that they open up and out so it's one press of Q to get that so the latch is on the bottom and then there a door reinforced door for the uh the doorway and that last touch is going to be the stairs you want to get those snaps so they come down and left like that and then a wooden wall flip that so the lighter color showing and that just goes under the stairs like that and you pop a pillar on the corner like so get do over and come outside and at the back of the house which technically would be the way you actually get to it so I guess we call it the front of the house as well uh you want to grab roof piece switch that to a stair pop one there like that and then up top switch the roof piece to a ramp and go ahead and snap it coming down from these beams like so then on the corners I want to place some pillars like that I'm going go ahead and clear this area out now underneath here I place a feeding trough like so and then a wooden cage underneath here you're going to want it so it's not snapping to any anything just goes underneath there like that um and you can place a dung beetle in there you know for the uh the crop plots to create your fertilizer we go ahead and put the crop plots in leave snap mode on for these they nicely snap along the ceilings and then to finish that end piece off you put some railings there on the Eds like so and then coming inside those windows open get the front door open too just we get a bit more light in here now in this corner place two bookshelves gives you a little bit of a library corner I place a large storage box there like that and then the preserving bin on the end like so over here put down our wooden table like so and then two chairs on the ends like that put a mortar and pestle on the top as usual put a bit of an angle on there just makes it more interesting and then a war map on this wall like that and next we can place a wall torch on this pillow here then lastly on the downstairs portion of the house we'll just put two little painting canvases here like that and turn snapping off of these let put them on an angle like that together now we work our way upstairs up here got a fireplace I had to have a chimney on this I'm sorry I just like the way a chimney looks on a house it makes it feel a bit more cozy for me and I feel like it it does work on the on the upper level um makes that sleeping are nice and warm now grab your bed flip that so it's in the corner like so and then just in this Gap here flip and place a small storage chest and this corner and place your last of the large storage chest so one there again have it show so that you can actually get in there like that and then next to it just place a library a little bookshelf like that go ahead and place torch up there like that and lastly up on the bedroom level we'll just place the trophy warm out just place that up there like that and on the outside here I place a cooking pot just like so almost perfectly inside that triangle ceiling really I just got two benches that go along the edges here here i' had a little wooden chair as well I just placed looking at the uh cooking pot now down on the lower level I've got a beer barrel down here sort of place that there like so anywhere or do really just showing you how I did it and just to create a bit of detail I've sort of got a little assortment here of storage box in the in the back so again just adding some more of that detail uh Smithy along the back here like that and then here couple of refining forges like so that's sort of your Landing hanger area done as well so you can bring all your resources in you know smelt metal do some crafting and you can retrofit that with whatever you want really can put some more refining forges in there some tables with some water and pestel down there if you need again that'll be in range for irrigation from the water tank which we'll place up here now going put snap points on and just snap that there like that you'll find that collect water quite fast actually and it definitely does work I've tested that too so even with the roof slightly over it still collects water fine and yeah that's the Cliff House done I hope you enjoyed making that along with me I'll be honest I had to go back and cut quite a lot of that um because it had been a while since I finished building it and struggled to remember how I did some things but uh yeah here we are all comes together nicely in the end and yeah I'm really happy with the way this build turns out um yeah really nice aesthetic I'm just happy with the structural elements to it as well it feels like it really you know could sit there and is nicely supported as well and thank you all so much for watching if you did enjoy this please do consider subscribing if you want to see some more videos from me coming out in the future give it a like if you did like it and let me know in the comments below and same if you didn't like it any feedback is good feedback so I appreciate all
