Aqualung BCD: Beginners X Experienced Divers - Andark

hi I'm Alex and we're here at and off today we've got cat from f1 UK with us who's going to talk through some BT games with us thanks for having their hand up today Alex I hope I can give you lots of information about our products so cat where you talk about these CDs so can you tell me what be surely I'm wearing right okay so today Alec you are wearing the pro HD e CD okay so what sort of diver would be wearing this piece okay the pro HD is really designed for an entry-level or I would say a mid-range perhaps advanced Rescue Diver thought recreational diving okay okay so as an example some of the features that you have on this jacket if you just turn around for me okay we have a material that is called resist tech yeah the released Tec material just means it is abrasion resistant it's also good in areas such as a chlorine pool so that it doesn't lose color okay you have a rigid back pad here and that is also and for anti slip on a cylinder and as well as the Sherlock weight system which would attach in here you have some trim pockets on the back of the jacket so here on the actual Sherlock system that would go in the front you could get between 9 and 14 and a half kilos did an extra four and a half kilos new trim pockets what we also have on the jacket are some symbols to show you where you can streamline your equipment so as an example here you could actually put the optimist here you can actually put your pressure gauge as well and then we have standard and quick-release buckles on the front and we have an adjustable strap here the chest okay with the velcro cummerbund and the adjustable strap here over the tummy you've got actual stainless steel d-rings not just plastic ones and we have pockets that can from the front and pockets that can open in Pocket on your left side there even a little tab for you to attach something on there such as a squeeze or a spare mask so you don't leave it under your arm here we've got the grommet so you can attach a Sherlock knife or something similar and again if you turn around for me you'll notice that the dumps a very very low profile yeah so that look to you as a diver much more streamlined okay and finally here at the front we have our power line inflator as well you've also got a dump here on the shoulder and it kept me down here so can why would this be a good BCD for an entry-level diver it's simple its basic it's affordable but it also has some extra features that would help and you dive up a glass an example the areas here that show you where to streamline your equipment but it's adjustable so if you're growing you'll be able to make it smaller or bigger these pockets are quite handy for weights as well so a lot of entry-level divers do learn with weight pockets okay it's easy to open the pockets from the front or from the back when you're a new diver sometimes you're not quite sure where everything is so that makes things easier the trim pockets would help you to stay horizontal in the water which is something we always want to encourage with a new diver and because you've got a dump on your shoulder it's easy when you're vertical to take the air out of the jacket and you have a dunk on your kidney which is easier to take the jacket when your mother's on tool as well okay so can you tell me what's different about this piece um where yes you are currently wearing the axiom BCD that moment so the axiom BCD is more designed for somebody with a few more dies or perhaps even a professional recreational diver features that we have on the axiom we have a slightly different look almost every part of the BCD is behind you so we don't have a cummerbund what we have on the axiom is we have adjustable straps here which you actually pull forward to tighten we also have a quick release and a quick release that just double chest strap but you'll notice that the actual joints here and your shoulders are slightly different these are what we call car danik joints that means wherever you move the jacket moves with you which makes for slightly more comfort we also have Sherlock pocket and Sherlock weight pockets we also have zipped pockets and stainless steel dealings but what really sets this jacket apart from the pro HD that we looked at earlier if you turn around for me it's a win system and you'll notice that the strap of the BCD sits much much lower down the cylinder that's strap please turn around is a grip lock tank band okay so that actually makes it look even more secure on the tank and it's easily adjusted because right or velcro so if you're going from a 12 litre tank to a 15 liter tank there's less effort involved what we also have at the back we have more trim pockets but we have retractable straps here to help deflate the wing so when the diver is actually deflating the wing to descend or as they slowly come up these system this retractable system here helps to take the air out of the BCD there's a lot more padding on the axiom you'll feel here on the shoulder for shapes yeah we have slightly more shaped lobes under the arms and also the back pad is much much more soft what we have on the axiom is something called the rapture harness system so compared with the pro HD how does this BCD feel to standing with a tank upon it it's a lot more comfortable more padded on one bank yeah I don't feel I've got this much trendline front like that especially for myself with teaching it would be suited for me excellent and also the rapture harness system is designed to take all of the weight from the shoulders and distribute it better onto the hips so for example if you're on a boat and you're waiting to do a drift dive you're approaching the dive site it's not a struggle to stand up in and it doesn't feel like the cylinders particularly heavy so the axiom it is available in sizes ranging from extra small to double extra-large okay and it's also available in two colors you're currently wearing the charcoal version but we also do a blue one as well okay so we've seen they got a mini fit for the likes myself do they also offer these be CDs for ladies we don't offer beats B CDs but we offer be CDs with all the same features the pro HD the ladies version of that is called the pearl and it comes in a nice Twilight purple color slightly nicely cut under the arms for example and the axiom BCD is available as something called a soul for ladies which is also available in a nice Twilight at appropriate color and that has a rolled neoprene deck and super supersoft back plate so thank you for talking me
