hey guys how's it going hey I got this old antique pump gas powered pump that's been sitting around my house for a while I don't even remember where I got it from it was either possibly a yard sale or somebody might even just don't need to send me but I kind of wanted to go check it out and see what it is as far as its the engines any good or not not that concerned about the pump it's not really thinking I will use there any option any application but I wouldn't mind having that motor for say a geek minibike or something along that line which I do have one upstairs let's get it on the bench let's go check it out see if it'll come back to life yeah those old engines nice and light let's go see an ID tag down here is go clean some of that off good idea what were working with and it's also long the engine Marlowe pumps Ridgewood New Jersey model 12 - and a serial number of - seven five looks like three one look for a date I was hoping that's gonna have a date on it I'm gonna guess mid forties probably they will call it actually the other tag make me say let's go clean the other tag off not sure if we're gonna go ahead or read it I think the early tags to the problem with them is they you have to go by like to code the serial number to figure out you they are I think it's 65 and up on Briggs tells you like the first two of the last two digits are the year that it's me but that's not gonna be the case here yeah just an MP I think it's a special block to it was like this boss is not normal by just reminding that pump that can be a problem for us if we use it on a minibike will that be an issue as far as just being out too far I'm wondering well let's get ahead of ourselves let's first of all see if it spins what exactly say it has a vegan just seems spin free no it's making some rally noises let's while we're screwing around I want to get the pump off of it it's gonna pull the plug out and we'll throw a little oil down inside there we'll let it kind of push everything around these things aren't very big horsepower in either of the two and a half three two yeah they've been out in a while huh I see some I'm gonna take an air gun put that back in I'm gonna take an air gun we'll blow it to crap off of here and then I want to blow inside the cylinder I could actually see some crap sit and just under the spark plug hole buddy baby you just wanna take the plug out it tell him yeah just crap literally sitting right on top of it that's it that's that's been in there and if you guys can see great good center of the hole there's some stuff sitting there I feeling would be taking that cylinder head off but I think it's blowing up the intake valve is opening yeah and it was blowing out cuz the intakes not even on there all that crap that you saw from behind this is marble let's go give that a little shot like I said I think it's going to end up having to take the cylinder head off anyway more likely the point of the valves are stuck let's go get better but plenty to crank let's go drop let's go drop let's go pull the drain plug out of it see let's go see if any oil comes out what do you think anything's gonna come out of it just pull start out of here Wow I'm gonna say yes but very little hopefully it's not water all depends on where was stored indoors or outdoors her ready yes pretty muddy pretty low I don't let that run for a minute what could we do while we're waiting let's get let's start taking some of the hardware off of the the pump side of it I'm gonna get the pump removed right from it I also kind of take a look at see how that how that works you know give you a trash pump or a just a water pump no a screen get a guy says something half give me that I just wonder if it's up for repair I still can't figure it out I almost was like friend Kennedy looks like ven and edy why I'm not sure what the bottom says below it and you're gonna take the paper over could be someone's name but won't it maybe I don't know all right the world that came out of it that much that's like gear oil yeah I'd say this thing hasn't run in probably a good 60 years all right let's go get that pump out of our way and start to whittling down to the engine and see what we have to work with whether it's a good receivable I think the face of that pump off I would think this is just for water we you gonna find out okay it's got a broken one just so you know that thing is pretty much useless except for like valve covers just doesn't have the balls I can crack them loose with a ratchet yeah yeah pumps fine it's got a little check that or something here yeah that's supposed to be a door that flap shut the turnover for the turns that's behind here yeah it's been a while since that's around huh nothing wrong with that right I think the there's two bolts on the bottom coming up and then I four from the back I was just wondering if we got a key I hope not I hope there's not a key held in that I have a feeling there is us getting that out of there if there is is going to be an issue looks like it's got a nut right in the center of it what's left of a nut in the center of it you think the chances that's gonna come off huh yeah if it goes right through the end of the crank to soak up might even a trash pump so don't it seems like it's got a lot of clearance for things yeah I'm not gonna get a socket on that hmm you try hammering something on there and it would impact on hey where you want to call that 5/8 and 9/16 go whatever one wants to come out chef Lowe's for that nope I think that's the one that's supposed to be myself and the fingers doing it go the one up that's gonna be two slices it's gonna strip right out maybe not ah you like didn't see that coming did we got it not seeing that that's gonna pop out of there but at least that parts off so I think this this might be bolted to the other side there's bolts on the backside here I don't know if I'm gonna need to take those off let's go with the two on the bottom and if he can get them there's four here's the ones I was talking about those I think it goes right to him grabs that well let's just try taking these four out and the two on the bottom and see if the thing I'll slide off of there you ever deal with you know you get a nut jammed in the socket and you're trying to you know poking approach sometimes it's good you just take a screwdriver or something that fits kind of through there you let it sit up there and you kind of want to let it touch the back wall if you just drop it from a decent height sometimes it'll pop out like that you have to fight it yeah sure write it down from its original size huh it was dark you can't see in there very well it's like one out the other side I want to go on this one and it's got a lot of slop someone I think was that ahead of us and strip that out you can't get the other end on it there's not enough room to get a box in you should be easier more accessible you can get those if we have to make something for that one now this this is my junk drawers for four wrenches these are the you know not all about some work there are sacrificial lambs so we either half-inch that we can manipulate let's actually this one's already manipulated maybe that one will go with anything else that's a half a Reb that one to these same issues too much material let's go grab this one I'm like that close yet not that close come on he's gonna round it off though nope it went that was on me that was on the verge of not doing it the next thing I was gonna try it no one's taking a the 12 the six point in grinding the edge down so you can get around it but no need you got it I wonder if that was the last thing that somebody tried taking it at a park you somebody definitely tried taking that off of there and I wonder if they kind of went got frustrated rounded it off and said that's it I'm not screwing with it anymore I would think that motor has a key between the pump and that just depends on how rusty come on a rusty that stuff is you know much of it is the back at the last two out and see from get some pressure behind here when it says a key reduction I see a big hump sticking out of the side here not sure I have a gear reduction on it all right those are you think a couple of taps it's gonna fall right off careful hitting that bowl probably just whatever the play is between that pump flcs being able to get in there you get a pulley on there neither pulley a puller nice a little dry I don't want to beat those threads up on the end of that I'm gonna try driving driving a wedge in between and see if we can kind of just wedge that apart I'm not concerned about beating this flange up again I don't think we're gonna use that pump again remember never use the screwdriver as a chisel pry bar how about some big-ass chisels and I'll take up some room huh let's put that one there one there it's kinda like one there you're watching them they're breaking up granny there we go yeah at a problem with a key let's go see if that's no no gear reduction still hits up let's try the magnet on the flywheel feel a little bit of complaining it crank alright let's go dig a little further let's get rid of I want it the cylinder head off might as well this is pretty much all the way off anyway we got a regular screwdriver even see can't even see and I'm gonna take these to war let's see you shut it off a little tab right there just short out the spark plug back with men where men could take a shock yeah we got a job for the impact then you think we're gonna find I'm gonna say a lot of crud and guessing valves that won't go down will be my assessment and the want the washer went with a tin was read the tag now ready camera yeah bunch of crap around the valve everybody moves that's a good sign that on the other hand I said we cleaned that crap off of there again like when I was looking down the spark plug hole you can kind of see that this crap was in there let's go give that a shot blow it off yeah it's got some slop to it I have a feeling we probably end up taking those valves out of there let make sure they touch that valve is not shutting all the way that should be shut right there makes I'll turn with your fingers yeah the bells got an issue it has no valve clearance it should be like till the exhaust valve I can grab it and it's kind of locked until the hole it's touch them first on the seat well there we go this one not wanting to shut all the way it's going now it's getting me some cleaning all right uh maybe you know what there is no unless it fell off there is no head gasket that could be a problem you see it when I missing something is the like I don't think so that's metal Oh liar like it look like it wasn't one there didn't it you didn't see it either I want to break it let's get a nice thin little putty knife we're gonna eat that over here lets me do next I'm gonna pop a rope on it we'll give it a spin or put a drill on it I doubt it very much that it's gonna have spark but let's just kind of go put this by the cylinder head and see if that's working if not this is gonna have points inside of it I'm yep 95% sure that they're not going to work for us yeah yeah that's got spark nice we'll leave that alone then I was gonna go pull that apart let's go it seems like the magnets are hitting the flywheel though so let's go kind of still pull it apart just go see what the gas tank looks like huh that's you bet I've seen a lot worse than that you see yeah let's get that car bought it's soaked anyway so you want to do you want to take the Carver part while we're waiting and then we can get into cleaning the valves up maybe that'd be better where we go there's a valve cover like a better term on a flathead behind the car back in here and with some finagle and you can get the keepers off the valve and you can take the valve straight up and out of a old and clean them up I'll leave the muffler alone I don't think that's gonna come out this stuff is you welded stuff weighs right in and we got a should be a spring on the carburetor for the governor turns it's a good sign let's continue we got should be a couple more screws is that holding anything I don't think so can you get this one here hopefully is just some bunch of rust on the Magnum and it's causing that to rub right there is holding it so it's the little carbs attached to it that's weird now there we go any mice my little little something on the gas tank for us prize yeah I'm surprised I had spark know if the crank is just so sloppy that's causing it to hit it should be able to open that air gap up on Magneto kick it up think that there's a tracer that runs down then you can pop the play roll off bring this far yeah it's got points you gotta look for a little wire and then you can update them I think this is too old for someone to have updated it via wire there it is in the back goes out of the coil runs down and there's a set of points inside here let's go do the carb and get that soak and get a cleaning while we're screwing around with this and kind of you know not wasting so much time while waiting for the carb afterwards guys like company nice brandy new tablecloth boy all right so we got what's that a bad sign if that might not be the best of fuel oil off of there the sediment bolt dirt and water kind of fuel goes in and then it fills up and goes back out the top and back in so anything that is heavier than the gas goes to the bottom like that oh through that I can't let's get there let me move the last bowl before I drop it on the floor I say something on the larger carburetors that are like this there's a jet that goes through on an angle and it has to come out before you drop the bowl off I don't know if that's the case with these I'm gonna go to go throw a little bit and I needed a little carburetor screwdriver grab down inside that and keeping it the back out easy on that desk first you don't have too many shots at this too somebody might have been air ahead of us know what kind of the scope real quick see if it's all galled out or not yet I think it is yeah unfortunately I was able to turn it a little but it looks like a brass cauliflower and down inside the hole so it is backed off a little let's see if we can get these stabbed into my hand and yeah somebody tried taking it out once before and it was holy crap but I have a feeling we may not be able to separate that Wow I have feel like Loctite I'm gonna shut you guys off maybe you're fast forward you so you know angles you can get it slid off the sit off the jet that's the problem yeah normally guests have to be able to back that right out of there we had to come apart anyway I'd say had a lot of corrosion in it so we're let it soak and we'll do our best to get it back together let's go see what the float looks like the pin moves the penal come out think it's move it yeah just slide down I guess yeah I'm gonna try I'm gonna drift that pin out of there we'll get the float off before the float doesn't have any holes in it soak everything let's get the now that makes your screw out of it and take tap in tap it out and throw the whole thing you know ultrasonic cleaner well let that do its thing we'll continue on with working on the engine part of it sounds terrible seem a lot worse long as you can get it back together as long as we can get that back up because what it does it goes up yeah you're not gonna be able to see it it goes up through and there's a whole there's a whole kinda like up in there that casing we have to take my word for it I think it's right here it kind of kind of goes like up into there I barely see it all right thank you some stuff partner make sure I don't take off that gasket that we don't have where we've been a good idea to warm this up do we need a basket yeah we use one floats it's gonna float let that sink in to us with you two that's I don't that side that's a screen the shield going around see we're going around it's already gone I'm gonna try to use a rubber o-ring and not a rubber one am neoprene what's the green ones there's one that's safe for fuel let that cook for about 45 minutes we'll cook crank up our tank everybody asks what machine I'm using it's a good question is whatever that is how many quarts I'm not sure I want to say a holds about it'll hold about four gallons three and a half four pounds hell if I turn it on see these that fly with long maybe it's reverse-thread shouldn't be able to put a little bit of pressure behind that whack it would have whacked with a brass hammer where you gonna put the nut back on nice that's reverse right yeah well tighten is loosen down to about flush get a nylon here I'm just gonna get behind every screwdriver a little bit of pressure on it what do you want to hit that for me is that slide all over the bench I want to tighten is loosening ma go let's go get the press the way down to the points on them they are working which I'm amazed well I'm here step back a little you a little too close he's usually época well seal going around Oh find out if it's ever been apart before yeah it's been off before they actually look pretty good huh that's pretty clean yeah I think someone's in there changing them at some point that just looks too nice let me just go check that gapping you leave all that well enough alone no part we do is we'll take a wire wheel to the bottom of here in here clean them up put it back together make sure the flywheel doesn't rub them well clean this up too I don't see much on here it actually looks like it's almost rubbing all the way around huh it's not just a magnet yeah so we'll clean that top surface up that might be just some rust or something that's built up on it it's hidden if not I think we could shim it up a little if not we're gonna fire it up we'll let it grind itself to clearance i'll show you i have it this far apart i'm new just take it over to a parts washer and wash the whole thing i'm gonna lose that is that gonna stay it looks like it'll stay well watch that let's crap off if it just gives a little cleaner operation to work with that's our governor air vane governor has the fan on the magneto spins the air increases in decrease and that increases and decreases the throttle so if the engine slows down the air slows down the means creeps back towards towards full throttle it starts speeding up it starts taking the throttle away and it just kind of maintains whatever rpm you have usually you adjust by either the spring length or some other kind of adjustment that's in it yeah there's the thumb looks like there's a thumb wheel right there in that one you can adjust the the RPM with it because this was used on something that was a grant out of constant rpm and again I kind of like these around a minibike or something so to be more something you set up with a throttle that cleaned up somewhat let's go clean these surfaces right here is that brass wire wheel it's pretty soft give that shot first be happy a little more aggressive a bit clean that up we'll put the cover on and double check that point gap and we'll put it back together chief we rub anymore it's all cleaned up let's go pop that on there a little bit sad when we tighten it down cuz I think it is tape yeah that's what it's going now reverse off is on the only go it's gonna make sure it's not cross hurting from whacking away to he more but it feels like it's okay tight I [Music] know look it's it anymore don't look check and make sure size park and I can be able to see it yep you hear it good uh Bob you're still soaking we should probably deal with those valves huh something like that we need 7/16 we could probably get it to go just from clean it up but we'll see if we get those out of there should take a little deflector gender you can eat one on both sides [Music] that's a little breather in the front check valve better slide that out there check valve for the crankcase no fun part those valves out of there so we don't want bottom dead center no sense checking to the gap yet because we're gonna clean them they're gonna drop down a little bit the comic paint he asked what do you have to grind the stems but let's go Stephen get a keeper a bow spring tool in here so you can get them out of there so this works for us I'm gonna try to grab right below the keeper on the spring spring compressor down then the keeper can kick to the side actually this one's got a pin in it huh he's gonna suck either gonna be fun to get the other these have a I'm not sure if it shows these are gonna be fun reset the pin fell out the fun parts gonna be getting it back in now the valve should be able to come right out of it get to the back side of the valve see all the crap that was underneath it idea has got some courage and some burn to it I'm gonna clean them up on the wire wheel I may have to go shopping for a new one let's go get spring you out of there let's go that ring there's another style too and then there's a pin get with the magnet that slides in but there's another style it's just it looks like a key I just got a larger hole and then like a smaller offset so you put the bow step through the large part comes over and and clicks in it was a little bit simpler to work with these are gonna be a pain I'm gonna do the same on the other one yeah that was that bells hurting a little yeah and we'll take a look at the seats in the head after I get that out I'll bring you back with the other ones out she was focused enough and I could see it messed up in right there collapsed and yeah I get that off to the side and they're reversals that they're Brussels the fun part Hammond yeah hitting the wall yeah okay you rotate it now it's got a rotate it's a little thing for life you know it gets you come on up yeah yeah cool it's got some beatings well let's see how they look afterwards feel the stem is - hey what's your eyes [Music] [Music] I'll see you damage on it yet this one's a little rough a little pitted go clean the mouse up see how they look look at before we clean them yeah that's got a lot of crap on it I don't know if that's just carbon on the edge there or if that's the valve mean be to death let's go clean up in the waterwheel and then we'll know if that shows up on that they're pretty beat all right dad you focus focus behind it and this one's gonna be warning hammered mark from the bow seat yeah it's got some rust right there too I know maybe we go shop and see if I can find anything better if not we'll go with these and the right ones but it looked kind of like it don't think you're actually two sizes there it looks like yeah three types hopefully one of them are it come back in here deeper in the hoard should be a pail free pile man many moons ago I think has has a bowels and stuff so let's go grab that with us alright we have a bucket of valves that's my head gaskets let's go see if it's small I want us to write I guess no maybe now I think it's a later generation you know not it and the other ones I think are for thee like the five horse of the almost nope let me dig up four valves oh we are looking for something that looks like that got the hole in the middle of it look like he's all that much better though does it that might be possibilities keep digging I don't know what this is from whether it's in like I'll take off snare will replaced or not or nope my name it too short I'm gonna dig through here see what I could find that's too big see if I can find a decent set for in there and then get them mixed up I have too much cleaner valves in there and you definitely look much better that's a short that's a focus or not that one and then won't see a little bit of a corrosion on it but it's not hammered now next thing this is what they're gonna show up is yeah so right now it's at top dead center or just a a little bit pass top dead center quarter inch and I think it's four to seven let's try five now if they're too short I wish you could do other than trying to think we'll find another balcony me too long you grind the stems down that's five it's not touching five not touching let's go up to seven I'm gonna lap them into it's gonna they're gonna drop down to here no seven no seven let's see what it actually is I'm gonna go look for a different set here's a 20 see what's over 20 not over 20 I'm gonna go try me go see if I can find one more set but that's a an issue that's gonna be alone o'clock each side so unfortunately our choices are either go with fouls that have like 18 foul or valves that have for the original valves fourth out on this side and about eight on this one what we haven't left yet and she's five and eight let's move between four warring seven I think is a spec let slap them in no we just finish a little bit on the edge of that yeah just kind of fine Tunes the two mating surfaces may be getting a spin I think a little sucky sucky thing [ __ ] you sucky enough let's try a different one you get the sound kind of change on it where it goes from a grindy kind of sound to it not so grinding and sometimes you just take the material you just kind of push it back into the center again we need a little bit more I'm gonna keep doing that to both of them and that could be perfect because I know that they're pretty poor says it is but less we're gonna go with I'll bring it back when they're yeah they're not exactly the best service that one looks like it's kind of a ceiling on the inner edge though if you look at it yeah get in your hole and that one it's a decent contact betcha but you know again it's why I was trying to find better valve sir a tad on the pitted side long as it makes compression should run well they are what they are definitely got a bunch of pitting especially on the outer edge you can see it but that shiny spot on the inner it's pretty much I think where we're gonna be riding so not much of a choice unless you want to run it clack II that about cutting you can cut the valve in the seat part of it and you get the valve drop down further and didn't get our clearance back but you're just gonna have to go with what we got because it's what I got oh these makes compression should be fine quite know if there's room for all of us in there but we're gonna give her a try cut the pin on a magnet of course the magnet wants to stick to everything but can't the aim of operation hold gonna hold it down let at the end gonna just fall out the other side give her a little tap should drop it in there you guys are right where I need to be duck down a little bit dude that's the other one yeah should we we got to do put the head on it and we can see we got compression and they're both in there I would call it in yeah yeah this is sixth out on the tight side side I call that 105 now I've got some dragon on let's go say it probably right around five rating about the middle where they should be okay you can see how the stem rotates the lifter one of them is now the other one is - each time they give a little bit of a rotation so that when it's running on the cam it doesn't wear flat spot on what kind of cleaned up sometimes a couple of people said the bore actually looked pretty good but the best part of it the are we doing so we have two that are taller and we said which one got the once the washers the one was that the washer was the one with the springboard right for a spark plug that's that that's a yelling at me right now I know I don't remember I think I said I remember saying it was on the end didn't they don't put that back in later how's that I think these two are higher and there's one that's got a different shoulder on it anyway one's longer and here's the two long ones we'll call them Frick and frack they go there I'm not sure what side the time actually pipe be able to figure it out Susie just throw a plug in it right there's a plug yeah we need to be able to reach it from there and pounding that one does it really matter let's just poke pretend that's how it was okay if it's not it's gonna be too high isn't it yeah need that one the question is whether that bolts in the right spot too so long again he'll see me mark from a washer all right yeah we're going to live like that we can go they'll call it that snug them down I could stop yelling at me I heard you got him wrong hey you know that doesn't that go on there I took your brain out stuck me in the computer rewound it and saw where I went wrong in my ways and that's why it has the washer feel better now still it'll worked right that's why that tat wasn't lining up right this is too far away I think it's it's something like that not one of those for the gas tank snuck I'm down spin it you forget compression click bring back this back make sure that plugs down I'm decent here at Ola - yeah I think so got no way only yeah - so it runs a little bit me let's go throw some some oil in it want to throw the rope starter on it and give it a spin we'll see how it feels real world/road chilla 1540 why are you asked because it's all I have what you have is a hammer everything looks like a nail yeah well it's gonna be the oil tees this is a brook that came with will wrap it around a couple of times it I think will be good much right need some fuel should be able to a little bit of fuel down there and get the kick nice we good enough clip it down spun the motor around I think it looks different that's why yeah that right there on the generator had a generator on the walk home we've had and has grease cup that packs recent there I don't know if the grease was also for but I might want if it's also for the seal the bottom of the crank I wouldn't think so I would think this would have its own but there's a big valley holy micro it's a big Valley right inside here we could put a ceiling in there if it needs one we're gonna find out if it's picked a bunch of oil out and it's gonna another question for us right away closer all right I got a jumper instead of me trying to heat up the end of that spark plug wire up here you guys see it step back a little so we can just clip on it off the spark plug premix make sure don't punch the vice behind me start it hey let go we are in the zone now we need a carburetor put that back on yes it got it back yes yeah things have [Music] progressed choked flow looks pretty good still floating that's a good sign ready Purdy we have to come up with a football I mean the 7-pole casket you ever see the opposite of which am i believe that should be a big copper screen I think if we can get that out of there if not it's just gonna go completely out of there and that access the filter quite sure is the better side for you to sit on try this so this is what's left okay a little more cleaning and doing there I think I'm gonna go back over the regular parts of washing rinse that I actually I just see it over there hey Dennis get rid of a cavity that's all crap that can go continue on its way into the into the carb this is the essentially the filter put the filters the Hunter has become the hunted it's back below this is the feed through there so one thing to clean that out I'm getting over in four we can put the rest of it together so one thing that he's gonna be the most questionable part of this is whether the float needle seat can you're asking me why I'm using a dirty q-tip because I look for 10 minutes for a q-tip anymore when I found on the bottom of the tool box a little bit yes on that it was the only one I had Nepal [ __ ] up nice so you see I think it's metal on metal I think they didn't even see I just steal I'm on brass alright enough sometimes too much was like a polished up nice anyway so we need needle-like sometimes it's a ceiling here most of time there's a seal one of the two has some type of softness to it I think I figure out how to tap that in back I need the gasket almost screwed up so I don't have another one just kind of soak this one in like EB Blaster try to get it to soften up a little bit but it's not happening we're gonna run what you brung you think that went that way or that way these little things sinking down or up and doesn't matter so we see a weakness teamahma anywhere I can see it went the other way because it doesn't touch yeah I feels like how it went all right so now we get the float on get that pin across we tap it with this I miss it I get it thank you got it right to a fair job it's about right that float sitting parallel with the body that's about it should be and what was the orientation yeah so this this is gonna be fun this has that seized you see it you see how the end is all kind of buggered up though from screwdriver having its way with way with it let's see if it cleaned up the threads at all I should be able to go back in yeah but it just locked up coming out and stayed there so we're gonna leave it right where it is because that's where most of its kind of tore out tighten it down I can't get it but the orientation is gonna be kind of funky let me just make sure passages are clear we need to have that tube go down in that hole it's just a bunch of corrosion down there it's not scraping off it's on it's X you down to pretty much what it is you stinking et your old parts can we get it I think so I think that works I said no me you pull that thing right out of there and I get shot at it but I think we're back about two or three threads that give it some gas tank cleaned up pretty good the Pettibone works on it the parts water and filled the can up and check it out then took a pair of pliers to get the pet to move I got to move and then flew flowed through it and it turns on and turned off which is a good thing because on this thing I bet you that tag that says that was written on top here that paper tag on the tank probably said shut the fuel off every time you're done oh well the bet that's what I said don't drip fuel that was a little these actually didn't come out very nice neither [ __ ] thick cover is kind of iffy beggarly around the seams - I could see it I could see the weather screws tighten down there pitched in taking them just wet the floor some oil and seeing it I'm on the floor get him flat what do we have we still have the float Bowl and we could run that screw in now go yeah I got the back up a couple turns maybe that helped us and then this meters the little hole that was in here this is what meters that need to be like that it's got like packing in it we're gonna read what's in there in there we're gonna tighten that up this up just enough so push you drag that it that cranks down on the packing there's a little tiny adjustment oh look guys fell asleep yeah you missed me miss was putting the two jets in and setting I'm two turns out for the most part I mean in the idle and now we are trying to come up with something for shins ships seals for the bowl I thought I had a big enough pro ring no I did find these gaskets try stacking it I think three of them together but I am punching there they look like that and I pretty close to the center to left field back in so I'm gonna go punch it twice make a look something like that should make it so the fuel can go back up around the filter I don't think this is gonna fascinate you all that much but you get the idea number two so well that works first stained what it's really wants to come off of it so run it as it is I'm just gonna stay just trying to use the vise grip so I can make it so that it would you guys could see how come that doesn't look as clean as it should be I think it's gonna leak between business this is a screen go all the way to the edges if sprinkles always the edges it's gonna leak right you gotta look no it doesn't all right I agree no fuel filter for you no kept keep you from crushing it bail I could have been a little bit more prepared yes em dammit so much stuff trying to happen it we're gonna use the excuse that kind of work in front of the camera but I'm over here well the moments you go fast forward it looks like you just whipped right through it I mean while you were struggling I think we're gonna need we're almost out of threads well that's gonna Snug down or not I don't know it's right on the line let's blow through it so the so fuel goes in goes to the sediment bowl through the screen back up through the carburetor through the needle and seat and the float turns and that on and off so if you hold it upside down the float should be down and should not be able to blow through it and I can so I am leaking either at the needle and seat real bad around the bowl I should be hearing that click I'll get back to you on that yeah I just put three more gaskets in there and tighten it down so there's a whole stack in there now don't filter in us I'm not worried about ya path getting blocked but I can't can't blow through it that way I flip it over and blow through it Joe it has my check on the system I think we're good to go put that thing huh huh yeah I think so let's put some gas in it the pet is still closed go see it that you think the chances are give me that about a 50/50 leak somewhere a little bit of crap float around in there let's see if it such drooping out of the carpet man it's like the bowl I think - we let that stuff silk a little bit I think we could run it I think it filled the float ball a little run get some of that crap off the bench because that might make a tad bit of a rattle get rid of that crap a rope it is ready oh yeah got a spring on the throttle cuz again it was set up for running at like 30 300 rpm so I ran up the idle speed on here and there's just a spring holding it to idle chokes on who knows what we're gonna get except for our face well exhaust it looks like yes so turned off at the flow fall should be false how many times you think I see the choke is wet try it open and oh yeah there you go we need to rev it up a little more [Music] oh go surprise it's gonna be ridiculous enough yeah she's gonna do it pretty good see if you can side before the fire ball gets TV [Music] what you do against go let's take out good I guess quiet just got to fix that the piece of cork is what really need this one I set up with the air cleaner install this has bath air cleaner you see that line you filter the base of that and dirt kind of makes it a sharp turn I should say air makes a sharp turn and it kind of just gets stuck to the oil [ __ ] oil percolates up into into there but the oil level is only right here so the air has to kind of come in go through the fins and then back down to throw it again actually we're pretty good plus you never have to buy a filter you know it's a little dab of oil when you change oil you change that up the only things bad about them is you know they're tip hazard if you go too far to one side and piss that with you get in let's go sit you back up I'm gonna fire it back up will fine-tune it with the air cleaner drag on it because it's gonna make it probably run a little richer so you get her me probably knit up up this hair call our win a win for an idle speed back up a little one turn see if we can get it there and I kind of reposition that bowls are gonna leak yeah they had a pian right down below how you get rid of that altogether you can actually just thread that right into there but I kind of like the glass wall it'll find it on they all get the right seal for it at some point too much about there right Attila falls them it's facing back it up if you're faster [Music] [Music] a little teeny off the line this is doing alright alright fuel my fuel system is just not want to play what I don't have that I just have that cracked loose so it's just flowing through and I'm revving it up I think I'm running out of gas but I'm trying to keep his bed open it all the way to start stripping like crazy so ya see so I was trying to control how much fuel was using through the pet but she'll go she goes decent it'll fine they'll do everything supposed to I get your back really decent I like to horsepower they're not very much to them you know but for an old antique minibike from the 40s or 50s I think it'll do just fine spreading off all the crap and guess that seal doesn't matter I don't see wetness coming out of there I was half expecting to see some but there must be a seal on there and again that was just where the grease pack did and keep the water from coming out of the pump side of the seal alright another one for the save pile just put a little note I will add another load I have a feeling it probably says something about running that valve partially yeah guys with that yo-yo shut her off what think are you for hanging out with me in there having some fun with some ol rusty free junk and I really not even spending anything on it other than oil from the x1 I'll see ya
