oh Jesus because spit is hello everybody and welcome I have returned this time we're playing Empire of the undergrowth but I think this is my first video bark actually I'm well at least I'm hoping it is so I have been away in Japan for the past two weeks if you didn't know already where's fever gone what's with this old dinosaurus video actually first up that series dinosaurus i'll probably pull up the picture i have to go find it cuz i'm when you upload a video tells you when it was first uploaded and that was from 2 April 2016 3 years ago you just got see I went away but you got a gem I never found the right time to put that up but I was like ok well this is gonna be the time so we're playing a president of growth because there's been a new update and just wanna say thank you to slug disco they did provide me two days before I left an early version of this game so I could play it and get content ready for you but I just didn't have time I didn't have time to cover it so I'd really do apologize to them they they they went above and beyond so there is now leafcutter ants in the game I don't know how to select them we'll find out ah gotcha so we we start from where we were last oh right so this is from where we were last playing off when we completed the whole entire game so we God are you prepared guys for some gameplay so I was kind of just curious like how on earth do I even do this how do i how do I get to play the ants any leafcutters yeah but it isn't the challenge mode this time hospital for the upcoming test it's time to be how's the corny you will be awarded in about oh wait what I gotta read house ok I just wanted I want to do that one can I not do it for macaron challenge 3 that's the leafcutter stuff you have to do this one first ok we house the colony the counterpart colony has been delivered we need to commence preparation for the final experiment uh that we can dispose of the specimens and close the project you should begin transplanting our Raptors into the modular form aquarium and be careful with the Queen yes yes I know how to use a trouble oh oh so I did it wait what we have rehouse the colony so I get extra jelly for this Oh where we're going where we go boys close the project bah did you hear that Pollux it ruins my thoughts I'm in charge of the colony and I will decide when we've finished testing there no set in your new home stun enemies periodically at level 3 stunning enemies are heavily slowed to stun them or torn them or low health will gain very high resistance for 4 seconds so I think I'd rather go for slowing them down I don't know well I've never done this before so this is gonna be really interesting oh I'm so excited I've been looking forward to this when I last played oh is this it we the leaf cutters this young Queen has successfully raised her first daughter's beneath the leaf litter of the rainforest floor the nutritious fungus she fed them as larvae is now dwindling if they don't find food quickly they lost a f--- I might also die these Rove beetle larvae are distant relatives of the European Devils coach horse despite a few million years of separation they share the same carnivorous appetite razor-sharp pincers and most importantly a fearsome final form oh good god okay I barely remember how to do this don't want to go this way I feel like I just want to go out so what like ah I'll leave the options for this game are immense that's what I really like about it either should be food here the juicy grubs nearby a meal for many underground opportunists but for now at least they will go ignored this budding at a cephalotes leaf cutter colony has only one viable source of food and it must be collected above ground oh wow so we are were proper we are proper leaf cutters then Wow okay so the amazing thing with leaf cutter ants is oh can we go outside can I hope that there we go there oh god there's other ants where are we Oh is this us a small scouting party of miner workers could lead any number of deadly jungle creatures back to their undefended Queen yeah they will need time and luck on this side okay well sending up my whole army you know have a leaf store owe you an skunk so what's that type we got some big things oh Jesus we've got spit is and grasshoppers and something I don't even know what's there but it's probably something big and more grasshoppers are we even collecting stuff guys come back come back we need a dig excavate the area that's what we need to do so leafcutters if you didn't know here loads of them they take the leaves that they find and this is why I find fascinating about these just ants in general basically is that they take the leaves and then they bring them back to their burrow and they don't eat the leaves I know right I call leaf cutter ant you met you maybe do what you might think that they eat the the leaves but I don't what they do is they turn the the leaves into fungus and they feed the fungus of these leaves and once can I have these these little little things I can't tell what can I just have any leaf is that it I don't know and that fungus grows and they feed the fungus the leaves re refuse is o2 also I need that as well what does it refuse to allow the column to store up to 10 refuse which will slowly decay on this tile and is required to process dead fungus from nurseries oh so I need both okay well how about we I'll I'll send them there the workers have located a patch of young seedlings just what they were looking for the leaves are soft enough to be sliced up with ease and carried back to the nest leaves little baby ones here as well are they just generally the ones that stay around the Queen they must be okay so we've got refuse now I don't know if that the harvested leaf chunks are not eaten directly instead they are used by the very smallest minim workers to cultivate a nutritious fungus yes well then oh god he's got a is a green boy why she's so clean grave leaves how do we make ants then or he again this is what one okay so we got the workers what's this thing leave could a media ant up to 20 fungus can be generated and held okay and this one is a lift got a major on the most accessible leaves are located to the north of the nest entrance however another Atta colony has already laid claim to them the close proximity of these nests places the two colonies in direct have to drive to send them on a leaf for their to click on the lever they just these trees is it not those things well apparently these ones in the middle of it you can get loads of leaves from them so maybe I should just send them up that way Oh Lord this is not going well we have we can hold it tonight leaves we have 0 I have 0 refuge we've just got a spider coming in and yeah he's gonna he's really not too sure what that means however I'm gonna make some leaves there I'm gonna make some fungus tiles behind really don't know what that that's gonna do or all the little babies I think they work on it too it's ok see what I'm doing here guys I'm doing a pro job this is where we're gonna have a little ant colonies separated but good the good good good ok so we're gonna dig there and then I'm gonna send the send the workers out here we have 16 out of 60 so I don't know I don't know what what's going on oh oh I I don't know how to do anything yes there you go worker can I do this like I have 12 is 12 the food but I've made a worker so that's not too bad ok now everybody go outside and go to the food because we only have 12 out of 160 I think space available for cultivating fungus oh he's got really big ones who don't like that I need big ones I don't even know how I get food I don't even know what food is to be fair I'm just you know what I'll just for now I'll just put like more more of those in a little bit more of the fungus that never hurt anybody yeah look all the poop yes lots of fungus yes and we'll put in a little bit more Livvy poos over that right okay and then they can probably start going that way because this seems to be look at him look at him with his eight eyes or however many eyes he's got never trust a spider hopefully the little babies cultivate I think just relax and enjoy a holiday because YouTube it's very annoying because you feel like you can't have a whole day and you can't relax I'm glad I did I'm glad I had a lovely time when I was out there can always stay around if I was clever I'd do that I've come too far though but this is the thing there's so many different species of ants it's the possibilities with this game is endless I really want somebody to come across and just put so much money into this game because I want all the different colonies like the honey honey pot hands these leaf cutters are amazing like imagine doing online will they have different perks and you know the leaf codes versus that the black ants or the fire ants the bullet ants or something bull dance are way more expensive accordingly patent god wider sake to put any ants towards an area I can just quickly shift them over so I'd have to worry about it and to uh you know I'll put two over there I don't think I'll really need it though again a lot of leaves from here whoa hold your horses okay we need a branch out like a lot so however we go over here and I think need to really dig quite far here maybe there's another entrance there might be that might be the reason why you need to dig here because then you can just enter over here little secrets I bet that is probably the case either way I'm just gonna do this and take that the two workers vulnerable invertebrates to take back to their nest they use snapping jaws to bludgeon their targets exerting 300 times their body weight in a single blow bloody hell I mean and some freakin amazing are they how could you not find this fascinating really we were like but make some more these we could make more workers now we've got a lot mmm okay okay I'll do that will make more workers just cuz that's all we really need we've got the big big brutes to help them out so if I just put them you know put put the target in the middle and then just fallen prey to a wandering harvestman it's long slender legs keep its vulnerable body elevated high above the leaf litter prevent it can release strong smelling odors to deter other predators a stir will be needed to drive this striding nuisance crickets and harvest men emerge from their hiding places any answering from the relative safety of the trail will likely meet with an unfortunate end allow ants to in the selected to gather food they warriors but with what food I have and it is a lot to be fair it is a lot but we'll wait for them to all to come and we're just gonna have to launch a big assault we're really it's my only option you they're not gonna eat anything they're just gonna go just gonna go also I realized some ants got a green aura and I think the opposing leaf cutters have retreated from one of their harvesting sites oh yeah they may have been easily startled this time but they'll soon be back look at them greater numbers see them all so huge okay so we'll quickly grab some grab some and go oh you think you stand a chance Oh railroaded steamrolled sorry that's the one yeah look at the way it cuts the they even did the animations right because what the leaf cutters do is they sort of anchor worn pincer and then cut like a pair of scissors it's really a bit like they cut a little bit closer they're moving to cut a little bit closer oh man and so awesome so we've repelled them here then I'm gonna have them here and not collect any food because they are building for a charge a big freakin charge so what I'm gonna do is actually go here and maybe even retreat a little bit further so because they're coming there's me last one there he goes and then in be here they come so it's it is quite close just need to keep making these ants in my second try I remember that you can upgrade the actual things themselves the the nest piles and stuff to make stronger ants but this tactic that seemed to be working here is basically just get as many ants and overwhelm them was very good impossible I think what I might do I do have seven that are going around now they did die which is what I noticed which isn't very good and I've looked all these workers I do have a lot of workers and not many warriors but you know what you can do they are actually getting quite close to my number I've just recently overtaken them so I want to be a bit careful with how I use my as the Sun rises over the treetops above the diurnal jungle invertebrates emerge once again to replace their nighttime counterparts so the lailatul remain steadfast in their efforts all must be risked for the harvest yeah yep this is this is the final push now grab everything here so that they're all pretty here oh I got that yeah so we're gonna upgrade that big boys because they need it we need them yeah I had some I've only got seven in the nest and this was really close I'm pointing at the screen as if you could zoom but there was really close to the Queen and ansar walking over it and I think that they were getting poisoned so not so good they all had a green aura around them and I'm assuming that was poison so yeah they're just gonna get as many as many as they can here we're only like a hundred Nod behind but if I can grab all these you know if I get that first that's the point the thing is this is close to them this is really close to them and at the moment they have overtaken me lashed but just by a little bit leaf colors of clash okay okay okay so now we're just gonna stop them we're just gonna stop them so all of these leaves are coming back and that's gonna push me away head as you can see seven thousand six hundred seven thousand seven hundred it is very close it's probably going to be a last battle for this bit all the bits are very close to them I better not lose I'll be so annoyed if I know so here we go here we go I'm just gonna have these guys attack it's probably a lot of workers here there is the occasional big big warrior but the workers do you know they do that job they do that job or not I don't know I probably they look like they're dying boys be big boys gone the Blue Bombers just don't seem to be shifting oh god that doesn't look good okay okay okay I will retreat for now oh the big ones are coming now though yeah I just just leave them there dad oh it's close okay okay we're gonna have to attack him now built up a little bit of strength there we go in we go all the foods probably going towards making more ants the ones of resurrecting the ones that have died there we go stunning three huges and the rest should come up as backup yeah there we go coming in the leaf cutters have secured a vital harvesting site from their opponents who secured it so they came for backup and they didn't get it so we're just gonna get all of this oh look a pretty Majesty probably gonna die instantly something big coming so we are 20 behind but you know we're gonna get all of this they don't have much really to get they are closer that's the only thing but we've got a huge amount of ants coming yeah oh they're all going back yes they've all got stuff okay okay I think the next place we need to go to is probably here this is where we need to fight them off now we've secured that place I'll try and you know if I can should I upgrade the workers I'll upgrade the Warriors just because they're the ones that are gonna be doing a lot of the fight oh look that coming look up with even more no I don't think so we're out of that we're coming for this one or we should go for this actually maybe this would be better it'd be less of a fight actually no we want to stop them and gain don't we so I think it's here isn't it yes yes okay hold up here for a second because there is quite a lot of them coming and if I can upgrade I probably can upgrade now oh I can upgrade one getting some food in slowly but surely oh it's close it is close okay here we go here we go in we go if we can kill them that's good yeah see there's not really many they're attacking actually they don't seem to be gathering and the amazing thing is with battle has begun yes the amazing thing is with ant colonies they respond to the threat outside clashed to the northwest good they should at least I don't care just gather some leaves gather anything you can we are still ahead we can do this yeah so if if ants are being killed and then they'll produce more workers whereas if they just need food that it's and the Queen knows this without even stepping outside of the colony fascinating oh yeah I think I mentioned that they have a sewer system so they did they dispose of all the dead bodies in an area like this away from the colony not like what I have done just so they reduce the spread of diseases incredibly smart creatures even though they're not particularly strange I know right or when you get these saplings it's quite a lot over there okay stop them stop them go help the big buggers yes I'll do that'll do overwhelm them stop them stop them from getting their supply route really I should put the big ones in a separate category and just have the workers go over there the abrading Atta colony has retreated from one of its sites to the northwest leaving unguarded foliage right for the picking yes it was foliage oh nothing can kill them please slice them into have you seen actually there's a video online I know this is gonna be a super long video but this is awesome and there's a video online of a wasp or Hornet I should say destroying a bee colony it literally goes in bites Abby's head off it goes and then just does it to all of them it's ridiculous and the beasts can't do anything cuz the sting doesn't penetrate the hide or the shell I should say the carapace of the Hornet so bees have em oh you really want to go sir I don't think you do what they've done is developed an amazing technique of basically swarming the be flapping their wings or not flapping their wings to produce air and they suffocate it and cook it alive by not flapping their wings bees in hives flap the wings to create an air current to cool down the hive of it gets too hot but I really gritty cool cool stuff so I'm gonna go this way because III could see a huge army coming I don't really want to do it be part of an art at all so we should be retreating now and but there's a lot of food and stuff over here let us also I should engage them in bow that's what I should do should take the bottle to them a little more there you go some bigger braided beasties yeah there's nothing left for you now we're so far ahead we're going to win we're going to do it oh it their rivals and achieved dominion over the clearing as the competition withers they will extend their territory in all directions firmly establishing their agricultural Empire one day this colony
