Anbernic RG35XX 2024 VS RG35XX Plus Thoughts

hello everyone Steve here from tech toy tinker and retro Arena so the black device on the left is an RG 35xx plus and the one on the right is the 2024 model the first thing I noticed when holding the two there's actually a weight difference between the plus and the 2024 model as far as raw performance goes they're the exact same device so you won't notice any difference when playing games as you can see they're the same I actually cloned the SD card from one to the other so it's running the exact same operating system performance is identical between the two devices so the question is which one should you get personally I would go for the Plus the reason why is simple if you're only going to spend four or5 more why not get Wi-Fi why not get Bluetooth you get my point right like there's if you're only going to spend a few dollars more you're infinitely better off with Wi-Fi because bosera is available for this device there's other operating systems that are being worked on you're going to want Wi-Fi for scraping for doing all those good things so there's not much of a reason not to get it that being said there's actually nothing wrong with this device either this device works perfectly fine if you don't need Wi-Fi or you want to save a little bit of extra battery life perhaps then this might be for you but uh Wi-Fi is an extremely useful thing to have and I wouldn't recommend not getting it unless you absolutely have no use for Wi-Fi but you will have to manually scrape your games and load all the Imes and blah blah blah I will be doing more videos on these but I wanted to show you guys but yeah I've tried them both back and forth probably 30 Games across various systems I can't find any noticeable performance difference between these two pieces of hardware and on paper without the with the exception of the Wi-Fi and whatnot they're actually exactly the same device so it really comes down to personal preference the battery life in the 2024 might be slightly better but nothing to write home about and you're losing Wi-Fi as a tradeoff to me I don't think it's worth it I think you should spend the extra few bucks and get the Wi-Fi but I mean to each their own right the d-pads they feel very similar but slightly different this one's got a more pointed Edge this one's more rounded and honestly the buttons I think they're the same size it looks like but I prefer that over that on the back I don't know if you'll be able to see it on the camera but there's the battery on the 2024 and there's the battery fuzz and that's the battery on the plus the battery on the plus is slightly bigger and because of the the larger battery and also the the Wi-Fi and whatnot the plus is a heavier device as I had stated earlier so that kind of comes down to what you personally want this one's my recommendation the plus but uh if you want to save a few dollars or you don't need Wi-Fi you will be fine with the 2024 model as well I think abck was just getting rid of some excess stock I don't want to keep you guys too long though so I'm going to go ahead and wrap the video up there just wanted to give you a quick look at it I will be doing more in-depth stuff with bota and also with booting directly into Retro Arch as always thank you for watching don't forget to like And subscribe hope you enjoyed the video take care
