I do not get it. What was the difference between reliving a wonderful day, a day when he proposed and they were extremely happy, and him defying the generosity and running off with her? Did he think he was going to somehow live anew with her in that film-state? Was it that he felt that he could reach his real wife in that fairy tale and so that was what he was trying to do? Because there was nothing to actually indicate that, so it just seems like he wasted a wonderful opportunity.
The production was very well done. The acting, set design, music choice, etc was all great, but I do not understand the plot or the point the film was trying to make.
