American vs. Canadian McDonald’s… It’s TOTALLY different.

it's a completely different burger way better a Big Mac I like pins don't like it's not even a cluck yeah hello welcome to a very special episode of the vlog because today I am in America with my American friend mr. Jason holler today we are in front of American McDonald's because we are going to compare Canadian versus American McDonald's in taste in menu and everything we can possibly think of because I think there's very big differences that people are not aware of and we should all go into each other's countries to try stuff I like though here's the plan you're gonna go I'm just gonna go in here you're gonna get something you're gonna go oh we're going across the Peace Bridge into Canada and go to closest McDonald's and then pick something from there and I'm gonna call you from when I'm in front of the Canadian McDonald's and that's when we're both gonna go in and order so that the freshness level is the same when we meet up again I'm gonna drive the back across the border and we're gonna meet right underneath the Peace Bridge and do this taste test in terms of what we're both gonna order I think it's important to compare something that's the same if a Big Mac combo meal perfect you know Big Mac enjoy so like classic McDonald yeah Big Mac coke and fries no and then something that neither of us has in our own country so we're gonna surprise you each other we're not gonna know until we bring it out for each other oh one more thing ultimate goal to get you to be wearing these if you like Canadian McDonald's better at the end of this episode okay but if you like America better you gotta wear these bad boys I can't see anything all right let's do this begin [Music] I mean Canada oh I see because it is literally one minute from the bridge look at this hello hello it's this Jason yes oh good I've arrived at the location do you know what time it is yeah it's 4:30 no time to order oh right [Music] okay so I just would like to get a Big Mac combo large start at a large okay go well you going to meet my friend what well we have this thing when we're trying to compare the McDonald's I just go thank you bye oh no problem get over the border Oh red light usually I eat my bag fries by now it's just a lot harder than I thought it was going to be I'm going to our secret meeting spot the bridge in the background see Jason you see what he's got I'm here it's been like half an hour okay so our 15-minute window is over this is a surprise one and here's your American Big Mac okay yeah here's a drink I'll take this did you get should have got you more I feel guilty now I feel like you a little bit too far look it's the same now you're just blanks bigger I get big big right which is like apparently large this is a regular it's just what it comes with oh yeah look at it's the same amount of fry in there let's look at the Big Mac let's see okay here we go so this is an alien American Oh [Music] looks about the same looks the same my bread is looks a lot nicer looks darker well there's nothing on what's on there onion pickle there's a pickle you got a pickle right a little bit hey no pickle come on no they usually do pickle well we know that there's no difference between different locations we gotta cut it in half both eating Canadian pick one bite listen big man it's a big man it's a little chewy tastes fine to me American American burger good luck to taste that that tastes better to me do you agree absolutely much better it's up more flavor oh definitely that is weird it's a completely different burger delicious this is good America way better a Big Mac oh look fins don't like it's not even the question yeah it's so much better even without the pickle yeah it was better yeah and that tells a lot America one-nothing yeah this cleanse the palate before we get in the fries and let's try the cokes all right all right Canadian coma okay I get it I get it American code I think I like that better like I don't have a difference this tastes a little more like a slightly stronger but in this scenario this tastes butter all right you get to I'll give it a happen what a surprise American Canadian leaf is in the Canadian fries first cheers Cheers that's a good one ready all I taste is I'm a little more salt on this thing I taste the same yeah I mean what are you gonna do compare how much salt is on there yeah I think that's all it is it's the potato is a potato although they do come from Canada versus America and it is very particularly about where they get their McDonald's from and that it comes from local farms okay all right so now we've covered the point we're gonna give each other things that neither of us have I only got you one because I thought we were only doing one this is like Christmas where we just spent over the limit yes because it was a $20 limit variety you ordered a good inside there was so much there that I don't think you have any of in America it's unbelievable if you compare the menus online Canada has everything you have plus a whole other Megan okay let me see all the buttermilk the chicken tenders that's right look at that Christmas some students our sauce to go on what's so interesting so yeah we do not have any we have chicken nuggets like you have to go with you cuz I haven't had to be there oh you're right oh that's good sweet sour stuff mm-hmm that's what's up one thing we don't have we had on Signature Collection yeah I didn't get it but I don't think you guys have that no I recommend chicken tenders probably good for kid no good it for kids cuz they'll never get the whole thing and you can you get the right hat now everything you don't have first thing is this what is this quarter pounder BLT let's see what it looks like oh boy don't follow oh I would like to try some too okay bacon looks good oh yeah it's like it's like bacon trying to be fake big yeah it's like faking bacon alright gonna take a bite till taste very good okay it's a BLT it's a B BLT yes with the burger [Music] are you gonna gonna finish that okay the burger is really good yeah oh yeah one more data point for me in that point for the beets the chicken but it's a completely different item yeah minam was better than yours but I think we had a point for not only it tasting good but also that we have in you're done so it's like wow you get that anyway if you camera though this is amazing this is an item you we have so much of it you have none of them maybe you have one on the grilled chicken Snack Wrap it's a chipotle BBQ chicken wrap grilled chicken wrap they asked me if I wanted a crispy grilled I say grilled healthier I'm loving it or Seska Kuya Nene how can you say that in the tone of I'm loving it about just a week okay I'm yep we've six is an option for wraps you have on the American website there is no option for wrap however for some reason the location you went to to pick it up there is a chicken wrap there is one but on the overall American website there's nothing that's good chicken there's good chicken lettuce is uh not great little soggy no take a bite with the chicken you don't want to eat why I'm a closet germaphobe all right it's fine like oh I got I get it I'm just gonna have more of this burger than that's good I'm making a mess what do you think I do like the options here the other thing I found interesting when I looked at the comparisons for calories the American side basically everything across the board is 30 or 40 more calories and everything listed in the Canadian side well then you can't stand a chance stuff for tasty detail that's the deportation poorly calories a fake tastes delicious but I don't understand it's like their exchange rate for calories I don't know why that is does it make sense you bring up we're gonna cross the border to the we have less calories done because it came across right one more thing one more something that's very near and dear to us I've actually I've never tried here excited oh yeah very very Canadian booty knee booties there you go poutine epic Donald mmm oh yeah Oh Fork this is fantastic like that I mean it's a McDonald's poutine but cheese and gravy fries you can't go wrong especially really good I wasn't expecting that for McDonald's have good poutine I've had poutine before one thing I have a problem with is that it's so soggy so quick I don't like soggy 24 but if you didn't fresh though when you eat it fresh it's good not soggy oh it's crispy and you get all this it's it's that's the way to eat poutine if you're gonna order mcdonald's poutine fries you got to eat it in the store in the restaurant it's not yeah it's not montreal montreal at Montreal mantra there's into different lunch meals no it's the same thing you're just saying it funny Montreal you pronounce it de Mon Montreal money but if you're a Maui yeah I'm probably butchering it off we know that you can get poutine probably don't gonna go McDonald's your first choice in case of emergency this will do the trick it's actually very good um thanks for joining us today it's a lovely day hey sorry sun's about to set though so we're running out of time okay I had so many more choices I had to get more than what you had to get cuz you really only had like two other choices there's no hope about her not only that there's so many more choices with baked goods there is literally only two baked goods in the US an apple pie and a chocolate chip cookie Canada has chocolate cookie double chocolate chip cookies four types of cookies a ton of muffins there's no muffins in the u.s. brownies there's croissants there's danishes a strawberry and apple pie and yes a big variety of baked bagels you can choose if you're at no bagels in the u.s. stoners can I also have espresso with his no espresso in the US and a bunch of fruit smoothies we have to Canada seems to have a lot more low-fat less sugar more health-conscious options than the US does still have all the unhealthy stuff - oh yeah yeah yeah but less calories for some reason yeah but this makes no sense anybody anybody know any of this anybody watching who's from McDonald's who has an answer Oh Canada has a double Big Mac but USA does it which is so on American should not be enough have more meat yeah you talk about like our Oreos we have like double stuffed and mega stuff and like super mega stuffed and like we don't have a double big bag that's what America is all about Oh disappointing but you do have a triple cheeseburger mm-hmm Canada does not have a triple cheeseburger you said screw that we're gonna be able to go big man drinks for ice-t specific I'll always do you know I see because in Canada I see is sweet is is sweet if you ask for I see you're getting a sweetened key normally it's on tap is nest team can you ask for unsweetened iced I don't I'm sure you could but they look at your funny really yeah I'd say about half the time people ask for sweetened Iran so they usually ask a point right here sweet or unsweet here yes yeah not oh yeah one thing the ketchup all right so we know that there's a difference in Canadian and American ketchup I believe something about is a high-fructose corn syrup that we're not allowed to put in this ketchup in the kit in the Canadian ketchup tomato concentrate from red ripe tomatoes distilled vinegar high-fructose corn syrup with corn syrup and water salt and natural flavors a difference in color whoo darker huh Cannes is actually live darker no America Canadian hands is darker I proof co-sponsor up here you open a Canadian one to sister okay quick it's taste faker yeah I honestly like the other one better yeah yeah I like the Canadian one by like sweeter this one tastes more like tomato tomato this one doesn't taste anything like a tomato this is why I don't like ketchup I don't like American ketchup I would say I would this is good this is much better yeah right there's some weird aftertaste I'm getting with it when it's like chemicals or something here is gross yeah you're right this is definitely way better and they didn't ketchup wings actually we gotta give the amount of options that you guys have okay that's another up that's options is a big factor there and the fact that you have so many more options than we do point let's wrap this up nope this has been a hell of a day learned a lot there's a lot of differences even though it's the same company and we're literally in this case like five minutes apart essentially completely different McDonald's yeah they tried they tried they tried really tried the ingredients are all there but it tasted it was it tastes different Big Mac oh my god that was so good [Music] which is scary to me yeah like why should it taste that much better what do you like what are they doing for calories is it the meat though I don't know yeah it bothers me so I think for me if I were you I'd be like I want to go in the Canadian dollars in order for because there's so many more options that are interesting unless all I want is a Big Mac in which case I'll just go right here we don't want you what is your final decision on are you gonna wear the glasses like I'm which choice I mean this is tough let me think about that for a minute all right let's do this Big Mac aside I choose Canada really the Canadian McDonald's with the more selection and obviously well even just the poutine which I wouldn't go to Canada and go to McDonald's to get a poutine you kid takes Canada cream America's great - yes so it's like a little asterisk next to my choice okay okay I guess you're not gonna wear these even though the Big Mac was better Big Mac was better I'll wear your Canadian glasses this doesn't feel right [Music] you look ridiculous I'll put them on for the Big Mac okay thank you oh
