got it's been 19 years old since we've seen each other he's 41 i'll be 41 in two weeks he's always posting bass fishing videos yes sir always doing bass fishing me and my son my whole life i have catfish i'm a bottom feeder i like to get them catfish i do like to fish for gar even things like both in things like that it's like an offshoot of the snakehead real powerful fight he knows what he's talking about so i'm going to listen to him through this we're going to catch some bass i didn't bring any bait i was going to bring some to get some catfish trinity river is here the trinity river holds the world record alligator gar so we're going to go down here we're trying to fish away from the bank where i'm going to be using chatter baits crankbaits some bandeau bugs creature baits and do a contest so we're going to do two contests first contest is for the most poundage and we're going to do the biggest overall uh big daddy fish so hey let us get rigged up we're gonna get down to the water and we'll bring you along and we'll see what we're gonna catch [Music] up on all right guys so we're gonna try to be quiet so look i've got these googan baits bandigo bugs what's up guys what's up y'all y'all go do me a favor go check out googan baits all right so i'm going to let him help me hook this up you want to use one of these too a bandeau dido bug all right we're going to let ernest help us uh rig these up i also have this right here the filthy frog y'all this is a googan bait also uh rob gave me these uh back in the day to go fishing never used them so hey we got hooks we got all this stuff so let's get these hooked up see what we can catch you want to use the white spinner bait son let me show you it's a chatter bait it's called a bladed jig oh okay you see the back of that hook from the back of that hook you need to get all this stuff right here needs to be trimmed off okay and i'll show you the reason why what it does i do see people trimming that stuff all the time what i'm gonna do is i'm gonna rip they're not made these bandeau bugs ain't made for this this is one of my little tricks that i do you always see them put some saucy swimmers on there but what i'll do is i'll come over here i'll flip this bad boy over here i want this hook right here to kind of come out right between its eyes there so i'm gonna kind of measure here i'm gonna cut about this much off right there see i'm glad you came along i was about to go up to the the soccer stadium over and buy a hot dog and he's the wieners for bait hey that'll work too that oscar meyer [Music] the tip of it i'm gonna bring it out right here at the very tip of the head right here that's some high-speed stuff i never done we're gonna hook you up with that one can you push that thing over that so we're gonna go check this corner and see what we can find yeah just throw it out and cast and reel it in let it sink for a second [Music] good job all right so we're down here guys where the water is a little bit steeler next time we come back we'll have a fish armadillo yo i just put my foot he might be in there all right y'all we got a big goose egg over here we're gonna go see what's up on wheat me and cayden literally walked this whole pond all the way back to that side and then we just went up over that ridge we're not getting any bikes it is really cool out here chilly the wind's real chilly it's blowing uh i don't know that the water's warmed up enough honestly but um anyway who knows so there's a lot of fishing poles out here which means a lot of public fishing so who knows and they probably don't catch them at least so anyway hey he's got one more spot he says eight minutes up the road let's go check that out let's see if we can not goose this video up yeah yeah we'll tell how much did it weigh we about five pounds up oh snape you stepped right on it fool [Music] where you he's bigger than the last one we just saw where'd he go oh he's gone no he ain't gone he was water that we were fishing earlier you do i told caden if we to be hanging with you we're buying a golf cart oh yeah dude i'll do a lot that's why i'm so skinny guys burning counters out here trying to chase these bass man if i could have caught that distance man i need my tums all right guys looks like we are pulling up to this spot supposedly we've got to get in and out because yeah this is a business entrance man y'all i hadn't hang out with this dude in 20 years he's gonna get me thrown into security's gonna come get us all right we gotta get in and out he said all right y'all ernest asked me to put uh detailed directions to this spot right this is a secret spot he swears we're going to catch a fish here top secret hey look ernest you know my pudgy butt can't fit through this i'm
