grab an empty milk jug and fill it up with water then grab one of these handy headlamps and wrap it around the milk jug you want to make sure the light is pointing inward when you turn it on the light is going to work with the water to light up The Jug and the surrounding area take your essential medications campaign without hauling around big bottles and boxes use a craft knife or a scissors to cut the label off of each larger box or container then grab a pill sorder and use a little tape to affix that label to each container then just fill them up accordingly you can use this over and over again and just keep refilling as needed save a couple Tic Tac containers for this next hack when they're empty gently peel off the label then fill them with essential seasonings or spices this is a great way to take small sealed containers not having to Lug the big ones around and you know they're waterproof and critter-proof you have a little set of seasonings just for camping save an empty plastic coffee can for this next trick cut a slit down the side then cut two holes in the top lid and the bottom of the container tie a knot on the end of a piece of rope then push that piece of rope through the lid so the knot is on the inside then push the piece of rope through the bottom of the coffee can and tie a knot on the inside of the can now you're going to take a roll of toilet paper slip it inside and feed it through the slot that you cut put the cap on and the Rope is going to act as a handle so you can hang this on a tree or near your camper wherever you need it's a great way that's going to protect your toilet paper from any Critters that are out there and it's waterproof stop your tablecloth from blowing away grab some clothes pins and clip the clothes pins onto the tablecloth to hold the tablecloth into place grab some shower caps and you can use these to cover the top of your food to store it you can also use these to put around your shoes this will keep your shoes together keep the dirt out of your tent and car grab a cake carrier open it up and place your plates and your silverware bins and more into your cake holder this will now help you transport any of your paper products when you're camping and keep them all together grab some condiment bottles from your local store I'm grabbing a pancake mix and placing the batter into the squeeze bottle when it's time to use it I'll simply squirt the batter into the pan and cook up the pancake grab a foil pan from the store you'll also need some charcoal and you'll need a cookie rack place the charcoal into the foil pan and and then place the cookie rack on top and you've made a portable grill grab some lint from your dryer stuff it into the toilet paper tube and give it a few squirts of hand sanitizer place this onto your grill and light it and you can easily get your grill going now you can use your grill with ease so the first thing we're going to do is place it upside down I've got these cushions that tie and you simply set them on top another option is to actually put your crate right side up and then place your board on top so a number of ways that you can mix and match this you can make things like this that store well headed down to my local Dollar Tree I'm going to start with these glass beads I'm going to also head over and get some rubbing alcohol next I grabbed this bowl got it from Home Depot I'm going to grab some sand start putting it in the bottom so you want to fill it up to where when you get your bowl you're going to kind of be level with the top and it has a firm foundation let's go ahead and start putting some more sand in so that it holds it in place to level it out make sure that bowl is firm we don't want any spillage or that thing moving when we light it up go ahead and put the metal Bowl in and then remember those glass beads and start placing them all the way around take that rubbing alcohol and pour a little bit in there give it a little bit of a flame and it's going to light right up [Music] a [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] oh [Music] [Music] [Music] n a [Music] you [Music] wo for today's project we're going to need a bucket or bowl that has some designs on it don't worry this one's got holes in it but that's not going to be a problem we're going to take some tape and we're going to cover all these holes up it's very important that when you lay the tape just do it in little pieces you're not going to want to just cover the whole thing push it on there pretty good don't worry about what it looks like that's not going to be our concern all we want to do is make sure that none of our concrete is going to leak out of the bowl so once you get all that tape on there go ahead and flip it over make sure everything's color turn it back over again we're going to look for any daylight if we don't see any we're good to go now we're going to get some quick setting cement set it down pour a little bit of water in first now we're going to put some pigment in that it doesn't take much just a little bit watch this that's all you need right there take that bucket and swirl around and get all that water mixed in there you're going to see a lot of dust here make sure you're in a well ventilated area so go ahead and put that Concrete in I've got some gloves so that way I can just mix it by hand that way I can check the consistency make sure it's about pancake batter once you get it all mixed up just start putting in your bowl with all the tape on the edge just set it in there and once you get it go ahead and start wiping it around the sides we're going to go ahead and fill those holes now it's easier to do when you got a little bit in keep going until you get about roughly 2 to three inches on the bottom of concrete again keep mixing all the way around the sides that's going to give it a little bit strength it's almost like we got a bowl within a bowl once we get all of that mixed in it's time to mix a new color and this one's going to be gray we're going to do it exactly the same as the red mix it in swirl add a little bit more water and then we're going to add some concrete put the last bit in there once it's mixed up go ahead and pour the whole thing right inside our bowl once you get a lot of that poured right on in we're going to grab us a cheap little bowl and we're going to smash it down in there that's going to give our cavity that we need for putting in potting soil or her plant once you get it in let's just go ahead and smooth it out it's going to get rid of any air bubbles but we need to make sure it's full add a little bit more of that concrete and then I grabbed an oversized popsicle stick and it's almost like putting icing on a cake we're going to smooth that out because this is going to be our top we want it to look good so take our little stick anything you got also clean up the sides you're going to have a lot less cracking if we make sure our both sides are cleaned up once it dries for a few hours pop that little bowl out of the middle don't worry if there's little cavities that's fine now we get to turn it over we're going to take all this tape off some of that concrete might stick to the tape that's normal just let it go now work it around and pull that bowl off and look at that what a wonderful template that made look at all those little designs now it's time to plan it put a plan in and display it now this can be used for indoor or outdoor because is made of concrete but I love the two-tone color to it it's better to mix it that way instead of painting I hope you enjoyed this project as much as I did and gave you some inspiration for your own you want to pick up two bowls make sure they are ceramic or glass and that they are heat proof I took them home and I'm going to give them a coat of spray paint once the paint is dry these Bowls have a really nice textured look I'm just going to use some really strong glue to adhere them together in the top Bowl I am going to add three wicks I'm just going to use a little bit of hot glue to secure them to the bottom then I'm going to grab two wooden skewers and wrap the wick around the skewers this is just going to hold everything in place great way to make your own candles is to reuse existing candle wax I have a couple of these Dollar Tree tall pillar candles and I'm going to place them in some boiling water now make sure you're wearing gloves these can get really hot and I'm just going to gently boil this until all the wax is melted pour the wax from all the candles into a metal container with a handle I'm opting to add a little essential oil for some scent and now we're just going to pour that melted wax then you're going to want to walk away for about 24 hours when it is completely set you can trim the wick down and use your candle I hope this inspired you to grab a ceramic salad bowl from Walmart and make your own separate the layers of a patterned paper napkin cut the paper napkin as needed now we are going to actually iron the paper napkin onto the taper heat an iron to medium low heat not too hot let the candle cool and start to use in your own home decor fill a heat safe container with hot water between 100 and 110° place a taper candle in the hot water and let sit for 10 minutes paraffin candle works best for this after 10 minutes pull the candle from the water and then wrap the candle in some wax paper take a rolling pin and press down on the middle of the candle once the middle section is flat buttoned take the candle and gently twist it into the shape that you want when you get the twist that you want place the candle in cold water and this will set the candle in its new shape then have fun displaying your new Twisted taper candle take painters tape and tape off sections on a taper candle make sure that the edges are pressed down securely on the edges of the tape once taped off paint light coats of acrylic paint in the open sections of the candle in the color or colors of your choice let dry completely try displaying them in odd numbered groupings and Vary the height of your candlesticks a variety of colors textures and patterns make the display even more interesting and unique start by breaking apart some pillar wax and add it to a pan to melt after that melt the mixture a double boiler is ideal but if you don't have one you can use a baking tin or metal Bowl on top of a pot with water next grabb some crayons and choose colors take off the paper and add them to the wax after that melt the mixture then grab a recycled Carton and unfold it cut two slits on either side of the top wrap the wick around a straw or Chopstick to keep it in place then grab some ice begin adding ice to the carton mold then pour the wax over the ice and allow it to cool repeat this process in all different colors after they have cooled grab a towel and carefully cut and rip away the part use them together for a fun party centerpiece or separate to add a pop of color all around your home saw some candles from powdery Barn I thought it'd be fun to try making them myself I'm going to put a little glue into a small container and then add a bit of paint now that I have the glue tinted I'm going to paint it all over the glass dish on the outside I'm going to leave these for a few hours before moving on using some Mod Podge I'm going to paint it around the dishes I can sprinkle the white glitter all over it and then when it dries the glitter will stay in place I grabbed these pillar candles from the dollar store and I'm going to melt them down I'm just just going to use a couple of skewers to hold the wicks in place I want to add some essential oil to give my candles a beautiful scent it's time to fill the glass dishes the final thing to do is to remove the skewers and then trim the wick how pretty are these Pottery Barn inspired candles they even smell as good as they look [Music] [Music] n [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] you [Music] I've got this old glass table get it all cleaned up I'm going to tape around all the edges next we're going to do that two-part epoxy we're going to pour it halfway down the table next we're going to mix a little bit of teal we're going to pour it out we're going to go with a darker green and you're going to start spreading out that white start getting rid of all that flaky paint start spraying it with some good spray paint it was time to put on the darkest color we have put some more waves on and spread it all out what a wonderful addition to the back porch I measured and marked the table in half eight even spaces I piped the mastic into each bottle top and then appli them to the tabletop I added the remaining tops I mixed two cups of grout with half a cup of water I used duct tape to make it Edge I spread the grout onto the top of the table and I cleaned away any excess grout I sanded the edges smooth using Mosaic sealer I applied a liberal coat I love the way the table turned out I took the table apart separating the glass from the metal ring laid the glass on top of the picture I mixed two parts white glue to one part Black Craft paint I outlined the Sun and once the lines had dried I cleaned up any lines that were too thick by cutting them away using a utility knife I painted the back background using a 1 in wide brush I added designs to each panel I gave the paint two coats of spray sealant I used a medium grit sanding sponge I painted the metal bright blue the table looks great in our outside space and friends can't believe that I painted it I went to Lowe's and picked up this large plastic terracotta looking pot give this a light sand my Decor currently is horizontal stripes so that's why I'm going to go ahead and do this and use the width of the Frog tape and make this easy for myself so I am going to do some pink and white stripes on this I'm just going to go around and Dot the edges of my pot with some silicon dots remove the tape line up my frog tape with my pink lines all right so now that our white pain is dry we are going to peel off our tape again I am just going to be using this rum clear coat so here is the final table and I could not be more excited to start I'm going to need a wood crate and I'm going to give this a good coat of paint here so I'm going to flip that desktop over then I'm just going to drill some holes and add some screws to dress it up I'm just going to add a table runner faux Greenery some lemons and a few candles adding some cushions to the ground and this makes the perfect outdoor seating area and grab some planters right off the shelf some primer and some texture finished we're going to go with this square base so we're going to put some glue here right around the edges and I'm just going to wipe it around the edge just like this put it right on top this waterproof container right here flip it over I can just take the glue now and just put it all inside here go ahead and take our pot put it right inside there we're going to go ahead and put some glue right on top want to make sure that we get it just centered perfectly and I want to put on a good coat of primer I went with an off-white cream color get every Square in look at how good that looks right at your front door get this Clay Pot sealer and give it a nice gentle spray give them a coat this Rustoleum this silicone glue waterproof flexible pull my my juke rope right into it so I'm going to do the same thing right there open up the silicone put this all around the top centered right on there there we have my side table I think this is exactly what you might want to make this summer [Music] n [Music] a [Music] a [Music] n [Music] a [Music] for today's project let's head down to the Dollar Tree we need to grab us some plastic bowls we also need a 4 in piece of pipe from the hardware store I'm Mitch from the YouTube channel goodly Earth and you're watching home talk lay you down a wood base it can be square or round and yes that is a toilet flange we're going to put that upside down and Mark out the holes first thing we're going to do is pre-drill it that's going to keep our wood from splitting it makes the screws go in Easy once you get that done put the toilet flange back in place grab you some 1-in screws and go ahead and put it in just like that once it gets nice and secure Next Step we're going to go ahead and grab us some ABS glue that's what's going to help secure the pipe to the toilet FL just glue one end wrap it all the way around just like that and then you're going to stick it into the base give it a nice firm shove that's mix up some concrete now we want to make sure that we get it nice and thick but not too thin or too runny once we're going to do that is put it in our first bigger size Bowl just keep putting it in but I forgot to mention we do need to spray this bowl and our next one was some non-stick cooking spray you're going to love it next time because it it's easy to remove go ahead and put it in there shove it down into the concrete just like that not all the way though we just want to get it in there and get it secure now these do want to come out when you put them in so I grabbed a pint of paint and just put it in there for some weight and we're going to let it dry but let's take some of that leftover concrete and we're going to put it into that pipe we want to make this a little heavy and add some weight to it and it also gives it nice and firm foundation once the concrete's too full there go ahead and take you a popsicle stick and make it level now work that bowl a little bit around the edge and see why we sprayed it look at that comes right out no cracking or anything on the big bowl just work it yourself around just like that turn it over watch this it's going to come out so easy boom just like that in fact it was so good on the concrete mix that it kind of made a little bit of the designs there don't worry we don't care about those now turn it back over what we're going to do is go back to our base and we're going to put on some concrete adhesive or any kind of construction glue that's going to go ahead and go upside down and we're going to glue that into the top concrete that we got out of the bowl once we get that nice and secure in there just immediately add a little bit more Portland cement just put it in and around the glue's going to hold it in and then this is going to be a little bit of a base and it's going to go around the edges don't worry if it's messy we're going to see it's okay once we get that done mix up your last batch of concrete we're going to take it and just start mixing it all the way around on the base we want to cover the toilet flange and the pipe now it can be messy because it's going to be the stem of our mushroom just go ahead and put it all the way around up and down just make it whatever design you think will look right we're going to let this all dry and once it is we're going to take it outside and give it some paint I went with a red top and a nice coat of spray paint now it's going to take a couple of coats which is fine we're going to spray the top red and then we're going to spray the base gray once we get that done let's put it in place and finish painting it and watch this and here it is our new concrete Garden mushroom oops I actually almost forgot we got to add our gomi The Gnome what a wonderful addition to the front of the house I hope you love this new concrete DIY mushroom and I hope it inspired you to try to build your own I hope you enjoyed that last episode but don't hit the stop button yet first subscribe so you don't miss any future episodes and stay tuned we got another one coming right up so I've come back from the thrift store with a few items and now I'm going to clean them up next I'm just going to make some soapy water to clean the item so I don't want any tags so I'm going to mostly get them in there so I can soak these tags off now sometimes they peel off easy but a lot of times they tear and with just a little soaking you clean them and can remove these labels really easily so I'm going to let these soak for about 10 minutes so from here I'm going to also wash them but as you can see sometimes the stickers just fall off on their own so here's this sticker and see how it just peels right off so I'll finish washing these all up and then we'll let them dry for the first one I'm going to be using folkart home decor chalk paint you'll want to be careful when choosing your paint depending upon where you're placing your item too so you'll want to check the back instructions to be notified if it's good and safe for outdoors or indoors only so I could leave this green but I've decided I kind of want it to be white so I'm going to just go ahead and paint it white um I don't need to paint the bottom and I'm going to leave this side I don't need to worry about this either so don't worry need put top bottom we're inside but this will be the top that we're focusing on for this one so the open hole will go on the bottom so while this cup is drying we're going to use the plate I'm going to flip it upside down and I've got a stencil brush here and I'm going to go ahead and dip it into the paint but then I'm going to offload a little bit of it here on the side cuz I I want to have some flexibility I want it to be coated but I want it to be a little speckly too cuz I'm about texture so I'm going to go ahead and create a little dot there by by just pouncing the brush and you can make these as big or as small as you want and then when you run out of paint you just add a little bit more again I want it to be coated on all of it but I want I like the texture so then next I just go ahead and continue around making some circles and you can swirl them a little if you want or pounce them it's really up to you now that these are both painted I'm going to let them dry completely before the next step with these and we'll move on to a different one for this next one we're going to be using pledge Floor Care cleaner finish so I'm going to go ahead and pour some of the Pledge floor cleaner into the glass Bas to start and so what I do now is I swirl the glass carefully so that it's all coated by The Pledge blur cleaner so I'm going to keep going around so I'm going to get all the drips out here carefully sticky sticky stuff all right next what I'm going to do is I'm just going to use some snowy glitter just just white glitter um I'm going to take the lid off and I'm going to dump a healthy amount in here because the excess I can um put back in the bottle with this type of Prim project so I'm going to place the glitter aside and now is the fun part now we start swirling the face and the glitter to coat it all the way around and if you need more glitter you get more glitter but as I tip around here I'm going to tip the excess off and back on to the bottom and give it a little tap now here it is and now I'm going to let it dry completely before moving on to the next step and this I can pour back in for another time so I just place it over here on the edge give it a little [Music] fold and pour it all right back in there next I'm going to use some green glitter same process I'm going to go ahead and pour a healthy amount in there so I can put it back in in a second I'm going to go ahead and swirl all the way around the bowl and then as I get to the edge I'm going to go ahead and finish by dumping it out after I get it all coated and here it is and I did miss a spot there so I'm just going to go ahead and sprinkle some on and then I'm going to go ahead and let this dry as well now I could leave this as is but we're going to add another layered look to it and I'm going to be using faux art enamel paint in the color wicker white um as you can see here it's safe for glass so again checking the instructions to make sure that things will stick to glass because sometimes they don't so this is a good one for this so just like before using my stencil brush I'm going to dip it into the paint and then I'm going to get some of it back off of here and then I'm going to start by just going at the top creating a little circle and then you can again use smaller brushes if you want or bigger um and then just going around and making some random circles on it as I go so let me finish this up and then we'll move on for this last one I'm going to leave them plain now remember this could be Crystal or glass that you find at the thrift store as well these are plastic so they could go inside or out but again same concept works for either so you can just leave them plain they look beautiful left alone as well so we're going to start with the cup and I'm going to choose to have it go up and upside down and then you want to make sure to put gloves on to protect your hands while we're putting all of these together and then you also make sure you have a ventilated area when working with adhesives depending upon what kinds you're going to use so if it's going to be inside you could easily use hot glue cuz that's a controlled temperature if it's going to go outside you'll want to use something like silicone or you can ease 6000 or you can use super glue which that's what I'm going to start with for this one is super glue and I'm just going to go ahead and put it on the edge all the way around like so and then you place it on top and because it takes a little bit to set you've got a little time to dry so I'm going to let this one dry and we'll start adhering the other ones now depending upon the glue that you use dry times will vary and for this one the same thing so you just add glue at the top all the way around and the reason I do it on the vase instead or the attachment the bottom is sometimes if you do the top the contact isn't met so now we take the top and it's a little hard to see what I'm doing but I'm going to place it it right on there and can Center it up and I'm going to go ahead and let that dry completely as well and for the last one the same thing going around the edge and then I carefully place the plate on top and I'm going to let that dry here they are all ready for spring and I can't wait to put them in my garden I hope this inspires you to take some thrift store items and flip them for your home and yard grab tin cans and a napkin for This brilliant porch Decor I washed three tin cans from the recycling removed the labels and scuffed up the surface with a wire brush I wiped clean with a cloth and spray painted the outside of each can with Rolan paint and primer white spray paint while that was drying I spray painted some metal chain black I set that aside to dry I used a small drill bit to drill three holes evenly space along the top edge of the tin can I drilled holes in the same spots at the bottom Edge and and the same spots again at the very bottom of the tin can then I cut the napkins into smaller pieces and cut around the birds I painted outo Modge Podge on the tin can placed the napkin pieces on and sealed it with more Modge Podge I did this for all three tin cans then used a nail to poke through the holes I drilled to make sure the glue didn't close them over I let the cans dry 24 hours is ideal and hung it on my deck for the most beautiful hanging planter nobody would guess that this is made from recycled tin cans and napkins do you have random faux flowers around your house that don't seem to go together start by organizing them by color and type of flower fill the bottom of the planter with floral foam stacked vertically next to each other tuck them in tightly and fill as much of the planter as possible once the foam is snug in the planter take wooden floral picks and press them into the floral foam with about an inch sticking out now take more floral foam and press them on top of the floral picks so the block is secure and doesn't move next create four to five bows from ribbon and floral wire once all the wire is secure stick the wood pick into the side of a foam Block in the planter now let's add the flowers think in terms of color blocking so that similar flowers are placed in the planter together start with tall flowers in the back and then add shorter flowers in a contrasting color in front of them fill in empty spaces with faux Greenery I hope this inspired you to create a bold and beautiful DIY faux flower arrangement to get started we are going to be using spackling so I'm just taking a simple spackling knife we're going to spread it on all over the pot what we're going to do next is we're going to do like a stamping technique using chicken wires you want to just kind of press it in all over and then we're going to remove it and you can see here where it's just going to give it a little bit of almost like a beehive look to it we're going to go ahead and let them dry I'm using an indoor outdoor um spray paint by rum and this color is heirloom white so now that we have both coats of the spray paint dry I'm going to go in and I want to add some of this multicolor texture by rum I cannot believe how well these pots turned out they turned out better than I expected and they perfect match the aesthetic of my house now you want to make sure that your glass bowls are very clean I'm going to hold it from The Edge and I'm going to take a gray Crayola crayon and I am going to draw right on my bowl the next step is you want to take some silver glitter glue and I'm going to paint my jar with the glitter glue and a cross hatch pattern I'm going to be using these out ofd doors so you definitely have to use some kind of a sealer the next thing I I'm going to do is take some fairy lights and put them right down inside of my jar make some of these glowing Garden orbs for yourself and enjoy them all summer long they'll bring magic to your garden or even just to the pots of flowers that you have by your front door look for flowers in a multi pack that can be split apart take your laundry basket and drill several holes in the bottom with a drill line the laundry basket with a burlap bag bag or burlap fabric start to fill the burlap lined laundry basket with potting soil fill to about an inch from the top of the basket cut the excess burlap from the top of the basket with some scissors starting with the second row of side basket holes cut the plastic between two holes to create one larger hole then cut out the burlap from that larger hole to access the dirt take one of your plants and plant it in the hole by pushing it into the dirt behind it it helps to use your other hand to grab the plant as it comes through the hole and press dirt down around it on the inside of the basket once you have the sides of your basket planted you can plant the top set your new planted Flower Basket outdoors and enjoy watching your flowers grow up the sides of the basket the next time you are at your local Dollar Store pick up some wire Garden hanging baskets turn one wire basket upside down and place on top of a second basket secure together by using three zip ties that are placed equidistant from each other take a string of LED lights hang the battery box inside the basket globe and connect to the top turn the lights on and wrap the lights evenly around the globe both vertically and horizontally secure the end of the light string to the basket using a twist tie using a leafy Garland of your choice start to tuck and glue the different leaves to the wire basket Globe now remember all those chains and hooks that you removed from the baskets let's put them to good use reconnect these chains of different lengths to the hooks and tighten the hook back together using some pliers if you have a porch swing here is a fun way to hang the Globes without drilling additional holes into your porch ceiling thread the stick through your porch swing ceiling hooks to create a horizontal rod and hang your garden Globes from the branch use your remote to turn the lights on and enjoy the Warm Glow of your new outdoor lighting and grab some planters right off the shelf some primer and some textured finish we're going to go with this square base so we're going to put some glue here right around the edges I'm just going to wipe it around the edge just like this put it right on top this waterproof container right here flip it over I can just take the glue now and just put it all inside here go ahead and take our pot put it right inside there we're going to go ahead and put some glue right on top want to make sure that we get it just centered perfectly and I want to put on a good coat of primer I went with an off-white cream color get every square inch look at how good that looks right at your front door I grabbed two hanging baskets and liners from Dollar Tree for this Epic Garden project I unclipped the chains off of one of the baskets and placed the liners in each basket next I used sharp scissors to cut a slit in the middle of each each section and in the center hole at the bottom then I grabbed some patunas from my local Garden Center and carefully place them into each hole planting from the outside worked best for me I set it aside and repeated the same steps for the second basket next I filled the center of each basket with potting soil and watered it I gently placed one basket on top of the other and secured them together using four black zip ties at that point I decided to add in a few more flowers on the edge with the baskets meet can you believe this is what mine looked like after 3 weeks using a stencil or free hand you can paint or use a Sharpie to draw on your numbers some glass rocks or any decoration inside you like add some water as it will amplify the light reflection pull your solar light apart and you only need the top piece place that inside the lid of the Mason jar and screw the lids back on do you have annoying pets that have made their way into their home never fear we're going to make some DIY pest repellers I cut out the center of a paper plate that would fit into the inside of the ice cream bucket I removed the handle poked holes where the handle used to be all the way through and then slid a wooden skewer through the bucket next I grabbed my paper plate and I taped it to the skewer so that it floated on top I took a second paper plate and folded it up and made a counterweight with it I stapled it closed I cut out an edge onto that ice cream bucket so that the counterweight could stick outside of that lip place your bait I'm using sunflower seeds onto the top on the opposite side of the counterweight I'm using a plastic wolf to resemble a mouse as it works its way towards the bait it will tip and then the counterweight will pull back and close the Trap trapping the mouse inside save your 2 L old pop bottles remove the label and rinse them out cut the top portion of the 2 L bottle off next grab an old potato cut it all up and place it in the bottom of the 2 L pop bottle place the top half upside down into the top so it looks like a funnel the bugs will fly into the bottle to get the deteriorating food and be trapped inside the bottle cut citrus fruit in half and place some cloves whole cloves into the fruit between the cloves and the Citrus it will repel bugs start by adding four drops of Dawn dish soap into the bottom of a jar of your choice add 1 tblspoon vinegar 1 teaspoon sugar and 1 cup of water mix thoroughly till everything is dissolved place a piece of Saran Wrap over the top of the entire jar and hold it into place with a rubber band poke small holes into the top the KN Nats will make it in to get to the sugary water and they'll be trapped inside and won't be able to get back out start by cutting some fruit up and placing it in the bottom of the jar citrus fruit works best for this next add some basil and fill the glass up with water add some drops of essential oil lemon is preferred or lemongrass the basil and the citrus fruits will repel the bugs as an added bonus add a desirable tea light on top for ambian did you know that tea lights float 1 tbspoon Dawn dish soap into one cup of water pour into a spray bottle and use this to spray infested plants soap will stick to their exoskeleton and break it down and kill those pests and I hope this inspires you to create some indoor traps of your own today we're going to be talking about natural weed killers one of our natural weed killers is going to be vinegar so you can start with a spray bottle of any size and adjust this really easily and now I'm going to pour my vinegar into the bottle filling it all the way up next I'm going to place some table salt into the vinegar and give a little shake to until it gets all the way in there I'm going to place the lid back on and I'm going to give it a little Shake next I'm going to come over to the weed and give it a little squirt make sure it's good and coated now I leave it for 24 hours for this next one I've got another squirt bottle and inside I've filled it with water I'm going to go ahead and add some Castile soap to the mix which is a natural soap go ahead and add about a tablespoon or two to this water bottle now if you are working with a bigger water bottle you'd want to use a little more next I want to add some more table salt to this one just like before and I'm going to pour that in to the squirt bottle give it a little tap and I give it a little shake this is another new weed coming up in our driveway so I'm going to go ahead and spray this with the soapy water like so and again I leave this for 24 hours and the last one I'm going to show you is my electric kettle which has boiling water in it this one's probably the most natural and works great for cracks in your sidewalk so I'm just going to pour the boiling water onto this plant and once again I'm going to wait for 24 hours to see what it looks like okay we've waited 24 hours it's going to snow soon so we want to get this shown so this is the vinegar one and as you can see it's primarily gone this one's the dish soap and you can see there's a little bit of the green still left in it but ultimately it's also gone and we've got our boiling water one which is also for the most cart gone it looks like there's a little bit of root left so I'll probably be hitting that up so as we're gearing up for the spring let's take a look at the Garden it's some other things I do for weed prevention so placing mulch anywhere you can around tree trunks this one happens to be in my garden this is great you'll want it to be 2 in to 3 in deep and it will smother all weeds so in my garden last year I grew a straw Bell Garden and the garden did fantastic when I was done growing what I needed to I pulled out the items that were growing and I tore apart the rest of the Bale the Bale itself was naturally falling apart because of the way the garden was working but this will stop all the weeds from growing in the garden and then all I need to do is move this hay out to plant the New Garden or put new straw bales on top you can also use hay or straw around your flower gardens your tree trunks and more and let's not forget what's organic I and natural in our yards so our tree leaves we went ahead and covered into this particular flower garden and as we go into spring I will be removing all of those leaves or mulch them in so that it helps with the ground and makes it even more rich and the soil more Rich so sometimes weeds will start to get long and maybe you can't pull them cuz they're really tight so one thing that you can do is get some scissors or some trimmers and trim off the weed all the way down so that it won't Sprout and then seed out and spread like hot cakes in your yard sometimes we might get grass in unwanted spaces as well it may grow underneath your edging so the best way to get this out is to get a little Trel or shovel and dig it up and get those roots to sh off the extra soil and then again toss it aside make sure it's not going to grow back if you leave it in the same space chances are it's going to grow back right into the rich soil so you want to remove it from the space and again just like before when it's damp it's a little easiest to work with so I hope this inspires you to to try some natural weed killers of your own again I'm chass from ch's crazy [Music]
