Addressing My Weight Gain...

this week shane dawson shared a brand video to his shane dawson channel well the video actually reveals a very strange addiction and it's not about makeup and probably know what you think is about safe [Music] [Applause] [Music] but there was something else that happened with shame this week it involves someone leading a comment essentially say we him about his body and his weight third story Shane Dawson has given us a peek in Shane Dawson with fat-shamed online and has decided to take a break from the internet Shane Dawson is taking a break from the internet after his most recent video was filled with fans commenting about his weight gain and he's speaking out about it this week Shane tweeted hey Shane why don't you post more why don't you upload more well this during a screenshot of a comment read I love Shane but it's a damn shame to watch him putting all this weight back on while everyone around him laughs and enables it I can imagine for most people seeing any comments like this must be upsetting you know and following that there was a massive wave of support I love you so much Shane I'm so sorry you had to see that comment hey why don't we just not leave horribly abusive comments on people's videos nice change please don't let this get to you but we're sending him all the love you don't have to show yourself at the gym to justify the fact that you work out because people maybe you found I do my only response is going to be [ __ ] people who make fun of people's weight or attack people's weight literally [ __ ] you you're gonna die soon [Music] [Music] you might want to throw it back wait a second hold on let me get the light wait why did you have such a reaction to it that was like it's a bling video in a blind video I don't know there's just like day and I was feeling sensitive I shouldn't have tweeted about it she didn't have even brought it up but I didn't think maybe it is a good lesson like a don't let things people say about you on the air and bothering you they will but try not to let them bother you and be whatever people are saying about you is how they feel about themselves or they just want attention and I'm the wrong thing fight feeding into it pun intended and I almost threw up that way I almost did but I just ate once you know it was a hard day but yeah one of the most freeing things in the world is realizing you cannot control other people's actions you can only control how you react to others that's about to say about that so I'm not gonna be talking about my weight anymore I'm not making jokes about my weight anymore I need to stop doing that I stopped doing that for a long time I started doing it again because I just tend to do that so that's what's been going on and I felt like I should give you guys an update because we did talk about me working out in the series and the training and all that stuff and I don't want you to think I just threw that away because definitely a lot wellmaybe okay so maybe get hurt I'm gonna bring out the gym thing you want me to show what it is or you want me to try to bring her out here and that's good that's good it's good it's just after a while I expect them to be good so now it's like Oh No okay I'm gonna go I'm supposed to ask you to bring out the workout bling [Music] what wait so the surprise in the house shower and stuff and then you can take a bling break and show us more bling items and then tonight we did have a big reveal you don't know what it is no I have an idea but I didn't want to wait she just said it's a big yeah [Music] [Music] his weight in general I already did that speech you never know how somebody is living like even if you get to see X amount of time in someone's life so you can't assume they eat a certain way or don't work out a certain amount yeah also you just just you can't assume somebody's mental state just by looking at her B star is only to give the children do you see their wait wait you're giving away well she's also going to collar I'm not she was on my [ __ ] couch she's infecting my whole family I can't be family did you know that the corona virus is affecting Geico by the way coca-cola says the disease has disrupted its supply chain they're gonna stop making it because they can't we need to go like that right I think that all like what like [Music] I just realized how much my life is gonna change so this is a small box there is bigger stuff coming and not ready I'm sure you guys are all gonna die I'm not emotionally prepared for this Wow wait maybe we should bring you like this or not mentally emotionally physically and this literally just completely lifted me out of everything so seriously like it might sound so dumb but like something like this like this just made me so happy thank you because that's why I do this it's like same thing for me it's like a therapeutic thing and then when you see it like this or like oh man it just brings some joy you know no this yeah if I would have had this last week I woulda just stared at it and say no I'm not accessories you always wear me out there now you have like a little believe on you at all I mean this is my [ __ ] dream this is my dreams since the video when are you getting a lot more requests um speaking of that I've gotten over like four five thousand emails for your products thank you guys so much for supporting my business and supporting me and the things that I love to create and now for all of you just insane amount of feedback shut down because I don't have enough bullying power to fulfill my god oh my god sorry oh my god clearly this is shade oh my god oh my god holy [ __ ] like you'll never lose that much bling is in our house we empty the water full of lip glosses that are blamed and then it's like one of those Instagram you know because I was like I don't want eight elevators trying to sell then ship merch okay long story short I've salon coming here and really care about is all your slime Personal opinion alert: I wish he'd leave this overproduced editing "style" to his documentaries. They come off pretentious. They're unnecessary and add very little to the story building. Like this is basically a vlog, we don't need cutaway footage every 20 seconds. The news clips made some sense as they added context, but he just needs to figure out how not to overdo it.
