because it's front-wheel drive versus rear-wheel drive it's transverse versus longitudinal it's everything huh soupy you want to go look at the cars yeah i do anyways this is our friend chris say that it's got the huge honda japanese heritage but there's a link that this model has with kw correct right yeah so that side was the collabo we did with hot wheels this is the hot wheels this is the hot wheels i have this hot wheels too from chris do we even have to say that this is a real itr and also it's a u.s spec yes which not a lot of people know but this is more rare than the jdm spec car there was only 3 800 of these made and there were more than that made in japan yeah this is good because like these are things that i don't know i just liked it when i was in high school and i thought it was cool and i just happened a chance to get one and i was like cool we're gonna build it it's yellow underneath yeah it's yellow underneath so this is phoenix yellow it's all factory body work tip this is this has a factory motor factory chassis factory everything but you just threw everything that kw's knowledge at it as sort of a test bed yeah because this side of the livery is what they ran in a german touring car series back in 98. so a lot of technology like the variant three came from that race program and the crazy part is klaus still has the race cars in the basement at kw still horsepower only to be supplanted by the s2000 with 120 horsepower per liter what's the horsepower on this motor 197. the engine and is completely stocked my whole premise is that every car that i've ever built i've overdone and it breaks so i'm like i just want to drive and not have any problem so this is the most stockest car that i have you're letting like schlubs drive it if you want to drive it you can do it you don't want me to drive it so what else you got done jdm front end spoon break competition three-way adjustable dampers got a voltex arrow on the back spoon exhaust what wheels are usa and i brought our usa s2000 demo car you pulled this one out of storage for us yeah it was a storage with an inch of dust on there hasn't moved in years what's the story of this thing this is a us s2000 so basically it's just what we use to like promote our products and you know every the whole catalog's on here you say the whole catalog there's some special things on here that aren't from the catalog biggest thing you'll notice is the top it's a concept that we uh debuted at tokyo auto salon a couple of years ago this is so cool what is this that was on a jdm that was actually the first one out of production and this is the second one basically just concepts so these aren't for sale these aren't well you know like you always have to build like a prototype to see how it's gonna look see how it fits and then see how much it's gonna cost and then you know after we built this one it's really really expensive because this is i would respond with this it's one solid piece of billet so i thought that this was a p this is sheet metal no no look underneath underneath man don't disrespect it like that come on you got to get a shot see that thing so so this was a like a 50 000 two weeks impressive in the concept room like this is gonna be sick and then you made it and you're like oh you think do you think we could sell this for fifty thousand dollars yeah that's exactly what ever we're like how do we make this cheaper like we kind of can't so i mean this is what i love ichishima-san's direction in this it's like an a plus ultra of a factory so which which makes sense why that wouldn't go into production we've always tried to like push the envelope a little bit so we tried different things like a lot of people don't realize that spoon invented the carbon fiber hood the first company ever what yes what huh in the late 80s it was the first company that introduced a carbon fiber hood for what car oh first carbon fiber hood that's like the best flex ever so this might not even be factual these wheels were like the first wheel to be heavily replicated the rhoda slipstream yeah which i grew up not even knowing was a replica like i thought the road to slip dream the wheel was the wheel i think we had this conversation someone's like they're they're they're raps they're a classic like these are like iconic wheels this looks a little bit different from the ones yeah the sw388 the original ones were called sw 380 spoon wheel 3.88 kg that's how much they weight that's why they were called that and then they were you know they're made in russia in the late 90s by some dilapidated you know soviet factory and that obviously disappeared they're like hey we have a forging press that was years ago and then these are the new ones these are now made in japan and you know it's the same style but the the wheel's slightly different and these are 17. spoke to barrel is a little bit different yeah yeah so it's the original style but then the shape is slightly yeah yeah the shape is slightly different let's look at the the heart of this thing see what we're working up against another stock air box competitor you know we got some racing heat here today none of that matters except this the yellow the yellow with the carbon oh yeah yeah game over so how much more power does this make spoon motors aren't ever designed to make more power it's more about response reliability smoothness durability all that stuff they're built based on oem honda components it's basically like a oem plus motor like you get a car from the factory you dyno all of them they're all different powers this would be like on the better end of the scale do they rev high or anything because they're balanced or just same theoretically could but yeah the springs and the valves are kind of the drop the downside so other than that 100 stock it's got header exhaust how much drag racing experience you got none probably like twice down that is actually our favorite amount of experience for this show this is probably drag race a couple times not with this car you ever like hard launch a front wheel drive no i feel like the dashboard is going to fall off oh no no no no that's when you know you're doing something right he's never hard launched a front wheel drive and this car just has been sitting you've never drag race either yeah i don't even know if it's going to stop at the end of the drive so what we generally do is from a dig 1000 foot from there you guys figure out what you want to do so work it out because guess what at the end you win absolutely nothing and a lifetime of my adoration oh god now everyone wants to lose [Music] what's up baby i have to give it to the honda 2000 just because he's got more tire in the back i'm going with the one that has a solid chunk of billet over the roof for no reason either that's cool i'm a little biased with the integra front wheel drive so i'm gonna go with the integra what are you making me do here really you're gonna make me pick this is again this is not a good one for me i don't i don't know what to do but my heart is front-wheel drive honda that's where i feel like that's the purity of the brand so i gotta go integra type super torn because chris is my boy i really love the itr this is spoon car i want spoon parts for the nsx to aspire to have a spoon nsx but i'm hoping chris one day will sell me the itr for cheap so i'm gonna go with chris i don't really know much about these cars chris is driving and chris sucks so i'm gonna go with the sd card [Music] hey man don't let me down are we
