and welcome back Robert breaker here and we're gonna try to finish the book of Acts today Acts chapter 28 we write that eight up here and today we're gonna do our best to finish up this book it's been a long verse by verse teaching but it's been worth it last time we looked at Paul and his journey some people count this as a missionary journey some people don't but we saw how he left seseri I came to sided they came under here came up to Myra came around over here to fair havens then over here to a little place called cloud trying to go to Finney's but he didn't make it then they ended up over here in Malta what we're gonna see today is they're gonna make it to Syracuse rag him booty aioli and then eventually Rome so we're gonna continue so let me assure to left this up here from last time let me go ahead and put it up here again where he went from Caesarea decided then he came around here to Myra from Myra over here to fair havens from fair havens over here to Claudia then he made it over here where he is now on a little island in the island we call today the island of Malta but in acts 28 one Malita so let me show you the other name here M II L I am Aleta but we know that today is the island of Malta so we're watching Paul and in the great thing about the book of Acts this is like you're right there with Paul I just the way that the book is written it just feels like you're right there with them and remember who's with Paul well a guy named Luke the guy who wrote the book and then last time we saw on the beginning Aristarchus is there as well so Paul is still in this journey and Paul ends up on this island and we see again the very last time in the Bible at least in Paul's ministry signs and wonders and that's a weird thing a lot of people say I don't understand how could Paul have these signs of these wonders when they were for the Jews and yet it appears there are some Gentiles here well I don't know but all I know was Paul said he was the last apostle and the signs of the Apostles were signs that the Apostles had so for some reason or another God allowed Paul to do these signs last time but as we're gonna see here in this study those signs ended and Paul ended up at the end of his ministry unable to heal and unable to do the signs of the Apostles so even though a lot of people try to say no that means they're still around today you can't say that because we see the signs and the wonders and the healing and all these things ending with Paul so Acts chapter 28 and verse 1 I'm looking forward to this because we'll see how Paul eventually makes it up to Rome and and I've enjoyed this study because it's been fun for me to find out there's a little place next to this area called Pompeii and maybe you've heard of Pompeii it was one of those places that boom exploded back in the 70 something AD and it all ties in with this and it's so cool so let's get started today Acts chapter 28 and verse 1 and when they were escaped then they knew that the island was called Malita all right which today we call the island of Malta so what happened well the ship went aground it was broken up in the wave we saw last time and here they are on this island they're just south of Rome where they want to be but they wanted to go up this way and they got stuck on this little island now verse 2 says in the barbarous people showed us no little kindness now a barbarous originally meant a foreigner and I don't know if these people were natives of this island or if they were foreigners who went there I don't know I wish I knew but here are some people on this island and you would think remember how many people were on that ship go back to verse 37 of the last chapter and we were in all in the ship two hundred threescore and sixteen Souls so that's two hundred and seventy-six people now if two hundred and seventy six people came off a boat and came ashore while you you might think that's an army of people come in to invade and you probably run up to the hills to get away from him but they didn't see that they said oh let's go help these people so even though they were barbies barbarous people they were nice and they came down there to help and he says here the barbarous people showed us no little kindness so they were kind they I guess they saw them for what they were people that were shipwrecked okay let's help these people it should break and so they went there to help them and it says for they kindled a fire and received us everyone because of the present rain and because of the cold so it sounds like you're still seeing this this storm you Rockland on verse 14 of the previous chapter is still going on so they're they're leaving in winter time and that storm has plagued them for at least fourteen days and it probably sounds like it's still part of the storm because it's raining as they go ashore now verse three and because the cold remember it was winter time and when Paul had gathered a bundle of sticks and laid them on the fire there came a viper out of the heat and fastened on his hand now a Viper is a snake or a serpent and Witney barbarian saw the venomous beast hang on his hand they said among themselves no doubt this man is a murderer whom though he hath escaped the sea yet vengeance suffered not to live now do you remember the story of Jonah you know Jonah was running from God and then there was the storm and then the pagans said well someone here is doing wrong that's why there's a storm and they drew lots and then Jonah said yeah you're right I confess I'll just jump overboard on the guy so back in this time these pagans they thought that when there was a storm it was the gods because all the pagans believed in God's plural the gods are angry they were very superstitious and so they thought oh something bad must be happening that's why we have such a horrible storm and so that was their thought on that and so they thought oh there was a shipwreck maybe these guys shipwreck because they did something wrong and the gods did that to him if you'll remember the old stories of jason and the argonauts right and how you know they thought you know if something bad happens it's because you did something wrong and the gods came after you or whatever in a storm and through lightning bolts and things like that so these these people were were superstitious and so they see Paul get bit by a snake and they think the gods are gonna get him he must be an evil person because they now all these people in this boat except for the soldiers while they're their prisoners so that must be the worst of the worst Paul guy and up that he escaped the Vengeance of the gods but uh the gods got him snake bit him and what happened well we'll give her five and he shook off the Beast into the fire and felt no harm howbeit they looked when he should have swollen her fallen down dead suddenly but after they had looked a great while and saw no harm come to him they changed their minds and said that he was a god now this this gives you the mindset of these lost people these lost pagans believed in God's plural they believed that there was more than one God and there's not there's only one God the Jews believed in one God the Christians believed in one God in three persons it's not three gods it's one God you know first John 5:7 says it's these three are one so it's not three different gods it's one God but they believed that the One God came in the form of a man Jesus Christ and that Jesus Christ is God so God came to the earth but Christians don't believe in many gods we don't pray to many gods always wondered for a long time how could anyone believe in many different gods plural and pray to those gods someone gave me a book by Chinua Achebe and it's called what is that books a new Han Chevy oh wow I forgot the name but it was a guy in Africa it'll come to me later probably and it was a book about a guy who who was in a tribe in Africa and to Inchon it Jamie wrote this book and it was all about how how they could believe in God's and help me understand the mind of a pagan why they believe in God's plural they believe that there is one God that made everything but he's so busy and so above everybody that he doesn't want to be bothered so he lets all these other gods below them and so their understanding is we'll never approach the true God just pray to these ones underneath them and that's stupid that's not right but that's the way they think is that there is one creator of all things but he's just so great that he doesn't want to be bothered so he lets all these other and then that makes sense it if you think about it let's say I wanted to go to Washington right right now Washington DC and see the president am I gonna be able to walk right into the White House say hey are you doing buddy he's got all these people under and he's so busy he's running everything that I won't be able to approach him so all these other people below him are the ones that I have to go through if I want to get to him so that's way that the pagans thought is that the one God was the one that was so important that you don't mess with him you have to get to him only through these other ones and so they're thinking in their mind well the gods are mad with this guy Paul and then when Paul doesn't die they go well that he must be a god no Paul's not a god Paul Graham is a father an ambassador of the true God but he himself is not a God and there are no other gods those that they call gods our demons or fallen angels and those aren't the true gods so you can't come to God through them anyway so they're thinking wow this guy this guy Paul now why is this important and why does the Holy Spirit talk about this what is why is this even mentioned well let me go back with you to the book of mark mark chapter 16 I find this quite interesting let's go to mark chapter 16 because jesus said these things mark chapter 16 mark chapter 16 and verse 15 look at this and he said it again go into all the world and preach the gospel what's the gospel good news brings the good news to every creature preach the gospel now what was the good news at this time that the kingdom could still be coming all right it wasn't Paul's gospel just yet so they were supposed to go into all the world and tell hey the kingdom can be coming Jesus could come back and rule still if you would accept him in the book of Acts we've studied about how they could have accepted him in Acts chapter is it 8 r-77 Acts chapter 7 in which Jesus is standing in heaven and they stoned Stephen at Jesus sits back down so he could have come back but he didn't but then it says here in verse 16 he that believeth and is baptized shall be saved but he that believeth not shall be damned alright so it's not the baptism that saves you it's you believe and afterwards you get baptized but if you don't believe then you're damned so you're probably get baptized anyway but verse 17 and these signs shall follow them that believe in my name shall they cast out Devils they shall speak with new tongues they shall take up serpents and if any and if they drink any deadly thing it shall not hurt them they shall lay hands on the sick and they shall recover so this is what we call the Great Commission so to speak if you will this is what God told his disciples the Jews to do and this is what they went out to do now is this in effect today I don't think so I don't think so I think that was the what's called the signs of the Apostles and I think that's the Apostles doctrine I think that's the early book of Acts and it was more to Jews now Paul doesn't because Paul was the last apostle but today we don't see people being able to do this this was more for Jews this is more for the kingdom than the church age because Paul says today we live by faith and not by sight this is the sight ministry this is you see something to believe it well the Bible tells us the Jews won't believe unless they see something and for some reason God allows Paul to do this here in acts 28 but we see at the end of his ministry he no longer has these abilities now if you doubt that I have people all the time somebody told me brother breaker you're such a there are still apostles today and we still do this and I say okay when was the last time you drink poison when was the last time you let a serpent bite you and then see if you die or not and they won't do it when was the last time you laid hands on someone and they recovered if you think that you have these gifts today then here's the address of the local hospital go down there and go room to room and lay hands on people and heal everybody and then let them get up and walk out no you can't do it it's not a gift that's around today okay otherwise you could do it and people don't and so you got to watch out for those people that say you can't now with the exception possibly of casting out Devils now I I believe that it's possible to cast out demons today the only thing is many of those people that claim they can do it claim they can do the others and they can't so watch out for people like that okay these are the Apostolic signs but we find Peter and Paul both doing these in their ministry here's Peter and here's Paul and what's interesting is you have cast out devils okay so here is casting out Devils Peter does that and it just one of the references is acts 516 there's some other ones but Paul cast out a devil in acts 16 18 so both Peter and Paul because they're both apostles and the apostles have the signs of the Apostles were a bird able to do that speak in tongues okay the tongues and I hope I'm not off the edge here I am a little bit but you can breed enough of that to know what I'm talking about in Acts chapter 2 the Apostle Peter speaks in tongues Apostle Paul says the 1st Corinthians 14 18 I thank God I speak in tongues more with than you all and what is he doing he's speaking in Hebrew speaking in Greek he's speaking in Latin and probably ma ma ma so Paul could speak at least four different languages and that's what tongues are they're their languages then it says take up serpents well there's no place that I found where Peter does that well it has to be there for a reason somebody's got to do it if it's mentioned there and Jesus says it but nowhere does Peter and the other apostles take up a serpent this is the only time here in acts 28 verse 3 through 6 where somebody is bit by a serpent and they don't die and that's Paul so Paul clearly is one of the Apostles that had the signs of the Apostles another one was drink a deadly thing so I'll just put here a drink then you'll know well know where does Peter drink poison no where does Paul drink poison so I have not found in the scriptures where anybody has drunk of something that's poison and didn't die but Jesus said that they could do that well that doesn't happen today you don't go get Drano and drink it and they go I'm an apostle you would die like that because you don't have the gifts of the Apostles today then another one was heal the sick or lay hands on the sick and that would be healed well Paul a Peter does that in Acts chapter 2 verse 6 through 11 as well as in other places where here we have an ax chapter 28 and verse 8 where Paul is still healing people all the way out in the very last chapter of the book of Acts and because of that the Pentecostals come along and say so that ministry is still around today and we still go heal people no let me show you something go to second Timothy chapter 4 right before he died Paul left somebody's sick which means he lost the ability to heal because the gifts of the Apostles they eventually faded out because they were no longer leade needed and toward the end of his ministry Paul lost that gift of healing because in in 2nd 7420 we read or asked us about at Corinth but trough miss have I left that my leaden sick why would the Apostle Paul leave somebody somewhere sick because he no longer had that gift you say no that's not true that's there ok well done we read I can't remember was it acts 19 or something where it says that God gives special miracles by the hands of Paul in which someone could bring a handkerchief of a sick person and Paul touched the handkerchief and that person was instantly healed why didn't the guy sick in Moline and why didn't drop him and say Paul here's my handkerchief heal me because Paul couldn't heal any more because these were what we call the gifts of the Apostles and they were for a certain time in a certain people and when those people died out then those gifts are no longer around today because Paul says we live by faith and not by sight so here we have a peculiar case in which Paul is doing with Gentiles and we see some Gentiles God gives them some grace and some heal healing I don't know why maybe they could have some Jewish blood you know some people think that some Jews came out here and that they were barbarous because they were they were Jews living I don't know you know I don't believe in that that guy Herbert Armstrong or whatever his name it says all the Jews came to Greece and then to America or in England and then America so all the real Jews are the white people in America in England I don't believe that I don't believe it I think that's kind of crazy but people come up with all sorts of theories don't you know so back to Acts chapter 28 this beast comes this venomous beast a viper verse 3 verse 4 is a feminist beast verse 5 it's called a beast in it bit Paul so this is the only place in the book of acts and in the rest of the scriptures where we see someone bit by serpent and they live and that would have gone back to that back there so they made up their mind he was a god verse six now verse seven in the same quarters were possessions of the chief men of the island whose name was Publius Publius who received us enlarged just three days courteously so here's a guy named Publius and he took those 276 people and he lodged them you must have a lot of places to launch people either they had a really big huge room you know like a storehouse or our barn that they slept in or they all slept on the ground somewhere but this guy is the guy that said ok here's where you're all going to sleep and it came to pass Mercedes for pupil pupil pooh-pooh believed eupolous what a weird name I'm gonna call him Publius that's the best way to say Publius lay sick of a fever and of a bloody flux to whom Paul entered in and prayed and laid his hands on him and healed him so here we have the laying on of hands the healing somebody all the way out in Acts chapter 28 and you're Pentecostals loved to say and that's still for today but I just showed you in the last book that Paul wrote he says now I don't have that ability to heal anymore I had to leave a guy sick so he's still able to do it here and if you remember our study of verse by verse through the book of Hebrews what did Paul say on the doctrine of laying on of hands this we will do with the Lord permit showing that Paul knew there's going to be a certain time when eventually there's not going to be this gift of healing anymore God can heal man but the gift that a man heals another man that's one of the gifts of the Apostles that's not something that is done today so his father lay sick of a fever and of a bloody flux now a flux if I understand right is some something that it's flowing and it doesn't stop and and a bloody flux is either either he had some sort of wound that just kept bleeding it wouldn't stop or he had and I hate to say the word diarrhea a bloody flux he was he was literally having diarrhea and blood was mixed in his stool and that's a horrible thing the word diarrhea an awful word diarrhea that's one of those words I'm pretty good speller second in the spelling bee when I was a kid I misspelled the word rythm and that bothered me so bad that's why I was an alternate but diarrhea that's a hard word to spell I had a friend we used to go surfing a lot and his mom she could not say diarrhea she called it Daru because she couldn't even say the word and it's kind of funny you know we'd we'd go try to pick up Steve you know for surfing and his mom said well nice little Stevie can't go surfing today he's got Daru and I laughed so hard little Stevie's got dye roof but anyway diarrhea it meant possibly that's what I was talking about a bloody fluxes have having to do with you know stool it's full of blood or it could be some wound in his body that's continually boozing whatever it is it sounds bad it sounds really bad so Paul comes in and prayed and laid his hands on him and healed them who healed him Paul so you see the signs of the Apostles is men doing these things now that gift isn't given to man to where a man can go and heal people if it is you got to be careful because the Bible says that when the Antichrist shows up he has these gifts and he can do miracles and signs and wonders so you got to be careful I don't believe in the gifts of healing today by man I don't want to give man the glory for healing someone if a person is healed and I do believe that God can heal people today it's God who does the healing and so I prayed for people before and say God would you please heal a week a month later they were healed God miraculously healed them but it wasn't an instantaneous poop and they go thank you Ron a breaker you healed me no don't say I did it it wasn't me it's God that does it God can heal people today sometimes he does but other times he does not I've known people that has that were sick with cancer or with this or with that and they never got healed and yet people prayed for them all the time so sometimes God lets people be sick for a reason and other times he heals it I don't know why God does what he does all I know is he does so verse 9 so when this was done others also which had diseases in the island came and were healed so here we have other people showing up incoming and getting healed now this is taking place around 62 363 ad but after this Paul could not heal trophimus and I just read you second Timothy 4:20 that's in around 66 AD so a good three four years later and Paul cannot heal anymore so this would be the last miracle that Paul is doing basically because we don't see him doing any miracles at least were not told in Rome and in first Timothy 5:23 Paul recommends medicine to Timothy he says now do this take this as medicine why if you can heal a guy why would you recommend a hand he go take medicine because clearly the gift of healing was only for the Apostles and it was something that eventually ended and ceased and now you go to God and say God if it be your will would you heal me and sometimes he does sometimes he doesn't but the gift that a man can heal others that's something that was peculiar only to the Apostles okay you got to make sure you know that end and that's important to know verse 10 who also honored us with many honors and when we departed they laded us with such things as we're necessary so laid it heavy laden the Bible says to laid is to put something upon you people say oh the old archaic King James Bible now now if you know the King James Bible you wouldn't look at the word lated and go I don't know what that means you would immediately think of Jesus Christ saying come unto me all you that are weary and heavy laden and I will give you rest I know what Laden means just by memorizing verses the Bible who'll a heavy laden means you're laden with many things something has been put on you that you can't carry so if they were laden with things it sounds like they gave them a lot of wheat and a lot of food a lot of other things that they could carry with them to eat now verse 11 and after three months we departed a ship of Alexandria which had wintered in the aisle whose sign was castor and pollux so Alexandria so this ship they were already on a ship that went from Alexandria to Rome now they're finding another ship from Alexandria that's going to Rome so Alexandria is connected yet again with Rome and we looked at last time how you've got to be careful because the Alexandrian text are the wrong text of the Bible there they're full of errors or mistakes in the Catholic Church Rome has perverted the Word of God with false Bibles so for a true Bible you need the Hebrew Masoretic text from a jerusalem and you need the the the Textus Receptus from antioch or the christians where the disciples of christ were first called Christians Acts 2011 26 so verse 11 and after three months we departed his ship of Alexandria so they stayed three months on this little island of Malta and I'm sure in three months Paul would have saturated that whole place with the gospel of Christ and I'm sure they would have listened to so here he was preaching the blood atonement salvation by faith in what Jesus did now they got on a ship who sign was castor and pollux castor and pollux has to do with the constellations and castor and pollux would be what we call Gemini against the twins or maybe it's a different when there's so many constellations hard to keep them all straight there was a guy many years ago that wrote a book called the gospel and the Stars I think it was bullinger and I'm not a big fan of Bullinger but that was an interesting book if you look at the constellations and some people say oh you should never look at the Stars never look at the constellations it's like do you ever read the Bible he read David he tells us consider the stars in order to do that you'd have to look at them it's not a sin to look at the Stars now it's sin to try to prognosticate to do the horoscope to try to say well the stars are telling me that you're gonna find love this month and you're gonna have happiness and oh you'll meet a new friend and things like that that's wrong Provo - to try to - to tell the future of a person based upon the Stars but the Bible tells us that God puts the stars in heaven for signs and for a reason so they're up there and if you read that book the gospel in the stars that's pretty amazing they all are different things that look like different things and it looks like there's a story being told if you look at them in a circle and the story looks like exactly what the Bible teaches the fall of man out of an in Eve's fall into sin and then you've got the devil coming along the Serpent and then all these things happen Jesus comes born of a virgin and there's one of them called Virgo the virgin and Jesus Christ he dies on the cross and shed his blood and goes back up it's almost like God put in the stars the whole gospel and there's no excuse for any man to go to hell and imagine at the at the great white throne judgment people say oh god I never knew I never heard the gospel why would you send me to hell and God said every night you went outside looked up in the Stars if you wanted to find me you could have seen that there was a creator that made all this and he laid right in front of your face the whole gospel message all you had to do was you say you know this looks like intelligent design I think I'm gonna go study this out some more you know what does it say over there in Hebrews let's go to Hebrews chapter 11 God is looking at you to see if you're looking at God you ever think about that God is looking down to see if people are looking up at him it was God's a and verse 6 Hebrews 11:6 but without faith it is impossible to please him God demands faith were saved by faith without faith is impossible things him for he that cometh to God must believe that he is and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek them seek him gods are a warder of them that seek him if you seek after God God's gonna go all that guy's looking for me you know what I'm gonna get in the gospel and get him saved because he's looking for me so it's always good to look for God so I don't know what this means the castor and pollux here but I believe that everything in the Bible is there for a reason so for some reason Luke mentions and by the way our ship was castor and pollux now does that time tie in with the time period in which that constellation shows in heaven is God put that in there for some sort of a reason for something I don't know I don't know but I do believe that everything is in the Bible for a reason even as something trivial like the name of a ship so I don't know what to do with that except just throw that out there these are the twins of the constellations and there's probably something to do with something prophetically or something there but I can't get it but what went into heaven won't be interesting when God goes okay see I put that for a reason and it will be the whole how did I miss them I don't know first well in landing at Syracuse which is with we tarried there three days now where is Syracuse so they after three months here then they sailed up right up here to Syracuse so they went north got him another ship because the old one was was broken and then it says they tarried there for three days now verse 13 it from thence we fetched a cut fast accompanied and came to red rag young and after one day the south wind blew only came the next day to boot aioli who do T so they came up to Regan which is the tip of the boot so radium is finally they made it to Italy then they went up here to boot aioli now I find this so interesting because pooty Olli is very very close to a place called Pompeii have you ever heard of Pompeii when I say the word Pompeii you should instantly go oh yeah I remember Pompeii Pompeii was a huge bustling city at one time and there was a gigantic volcano and that volcano exploded and literally buried the entire city under ash and scientists have found it what was it 30 40 50 years ago and are going through and then covering and they're finding like a time capsule almost 2000 years ago and finding all this stuff in the city of Pompeii and it's just they're like wow well you want to know something interesting when did Pompeii blow up Pompeii the city of Pompeii in 79 AD exploded that's when the volcano mount was at Mount Vesuvius or something like that exploded and buried that city under ash well what's happening right now in this time period is about 62 AD so here Paul is and how many let's say nine eighty seven seventeen years later Pompeii is destroyed so Paul shows up 17 years before the explosion I just find that so interesting Paul was probably dead he probably wasn't alive that when when that volcano erupted but 17 years before he went right by it on this ship and there's no doubt in my mind he probably looked over from the ship they says look at that huge volcano and the Lord is already talking to Paul and telling Paul you don't know this is gonna happen in the future this I wonder I just wonder as Paul's sailing by up to pootie Olli if the Lord said Paul look out there see that big volcano 17 years that's gonna blow up I don't know maybe he did maybe he didn't but it's just it's interesting to think that he was so close to that that horrible disaster of 79 AD taking place was there another disaster yeah another disaster was over here in Jerusalem in 70 AD when Rome got so fed up with Jerusalem and the Jews that they destroyed and they sacked Jerusalem and destroyed it so Paul is preaching not too terribly before you know a matter of years before terrible terrible things happen that are so horrible that to this day we remember them and they took place almost 2,000 years ago so that's quite interesting quite interesting so Paulo's going here now look at verse 13 and from thence we fetched a compass what does that mean willfully some people say fetch accompany she go in a circle but they went around something but we fetch the compass came to regular one day the South wind blew and we came the next day to Puccio Lee so there's a south wind blowing now some people say well if the West blowing south wouldn't the ship go down well if you know how to sail you know no sailing is wonderful I love to sail all right sailing is like this here's the wind blowing if the wind is blowing this way then you can go anywhere on this direction with the wind anywhere but you can't go directly into wind now look how this is kind of shaped like that so that wind is coming straight south like this that means they could have gone oh and this vector and gotten straight where they needed to be you cannot stress sales straight into a wind but you could sail close to it so it being a southerly wind blowing from the south well if it was blowing from the north it's blowing from the south and that what it said I got my wind so if it's blown from the south well certainly it blooms straight there but if even if it was a north wind you see how when you're sailing you have all these different directions that you can go but you can never go straight into the wind so it says it was a southerly wind and I read that right where am I here I think we're round verse 13 yeah the south wind okay so the wind is blowing out of the south so yeah it blooms straight so the south wind was blowing a little straight up there okay so that makes sense but this is sailing you look into sailing sailing is an amazing thing it's almost like flying the sail the same the same physics or whatever that goes into an airplane wing and how an airplane has lift is the same way a sail works and as that blows by there it's almost like lift and it's pushing it forward sailing is pretty interesting I love to sail it's a lot of fun so look at verse 13 so they came the next day to poot aioli now put a Oly today is called posed ooh wooly pose wooly so some of the names that they use back in Bible times are a little different from the names we use today but they came up to put aioli or what today is known as poser oldie so they stayed there for a little bit numbers 14 there we found brethren and we're started to tear with them seven days and so we went toward Rome so we found some believers in Christ those believers in Christ must have come across this way I guess they made him a little faster because he was stuck here three months I mean you could have taken another ship and gone over and come on laying and other stuff but other brother in Christ met him there verse 15 it from thence when the brother and heard of us they came to meet us as far as a pea forum in three taverns whom when Paul saw he thanked God and took courage so there's a road called the Appian Way that goes through so that's a P and they came to the a peace forum and they came to three taverns so they came across here and they came up to Rome finally they ended up at the three taverns the three taverns is a landmark the modern-day city of cistern some say the other Saints the ancient village of Latium it's on the Appian Way it's called tre the Burnie I guess in a little Italian and it's a landmark it's the place you know you can study more about the three taverns if you want to know more about that so Paul says well we're almost there almost to Rome now verse 16 and when we came to Roman centurion delivered the prisoners to the captain of the guard but Paul was suffered to dwell by himself with a soldier that kept him so who was the soldier that kept him with it's the same guy as in a chapter before then it would be Julius so it could be him it could be a different one I don't know but there was a guy that stayed with Paul number 17 it came to pass that after three days Paul called the chief of the Jews together and said it to them and when they were come together he said it to them so here Paul is dwelling by himself with assault a soldier and then he comes together and he says you know what I'm gonna do I just showed up in Rome first thing I'm gonna do is ask the Jews hey Jews come here let me talk to you before I get to that and Paul speaking to the Jews one more time notice how many times the number three is used in this chapter I don't know if it means anything but look at verse seven twenty eight seven who received us and lodged us three days so three days is mentioned in verse seven then verse eleven three months then verse twelve three days and then verse 17 and after three days so I don't know what that means anything but there's a lot of traveling and then resting three days or three months and then traveling in three days and it's just it's strange to me I don't know what the whole idea of three days is but you know for me I'd spend the night and then be on my way the next day but for some reason they stay three days I don't know but that's an interesting amount of time to witness to somebody plant the seed just one day while you're in a hurry you don't get much time to witness but if you're with somebody for three days imagine how much you can witness to them and maybe the Paul was witnessing to them that's why they were there three days maybe they asked Paul hey stay another day tell us some more and then he tells him everything he knows in the Bible and your hey stay one more day and tell me that all again you know and just possibly that's what it is I don't know I read between the lines a lot I like to try to think about you know if I was there what happened why why was why three days so often maybe that's why so what Paul does in verse 17 he calls the Jews together now what does it say in Romans chapter 6 chapter 1 in verse 16 Romans 1:16 Paul says for I'm not ashamed of the gospel of Christ Bert is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth to the Jew first and also to the Greek and everywhere Paul goes he goes to the Jew first then the Greek then the Gentile so I want you to get a hold of that there are people out there call it hyper dispensation listen we talked about them before and they they say I'm an ox whatever hyper dispensation is you know I believe in acts 18 I'm an r21 I'm in acts 28 I meant and I don't even know why or what but they have in their mind this idea of well I believe this is when Paul quit going to the Jews and decided he was only going to go to the Gentiles well I don't know how you can say something like that before acts 28 because here in acts 28 the very last chapter of the book of Acts the first thing Paul does when he pulls into Rome the center of the Gentiles the Gentiles ruling global center at the time you know where all the Gentiles are the first thing he does goes now what's the juice and yet Paul says he's the apostle to the Gentiles but he gets the robe and the first thing he does is go say no where them Jews is where doesn't use that and he goes to the Jews and look what he does he calls them together the chief of the Jews and when they were coming together he said unto them men and brethren so Paul says look I'm gonna preach to the Jew first since money brother the LAV committed nothing against the people or customs of our fathers yet was i delivered prisoner from Jerusalem into the hands of the Romans who and they had examined me would have let me go because there was no cause of death in me but when the Jews speaking instant I was constrained to appeal in the Caesar not that I ought to accuse my nation of for this cause therefore have I called for you to see you and to speak with you because that for the hope of Israel I am bound with this chain so the Apostle Paul says verses 13 to verse 20 and he tells the Jews Jews I've done nothing worthy of death and I haven't done anything wrong I am here for the hope of Israel now what a thing to say what a thing to say what does he mean he was here for the hope of Israel Paul isn't there because the hope of if you know Paul is there because he disobeyed God and went to Jerusalem when he wasn't supposed to and he was there to preach the gospel but now he's turning this thing around he's saying no you know cuz I'm a Jew I'm being persecuted you see what he's doing he's playing it he's playing it - to where the Jews will listen and then he could try to get them the truth but look at what it says in verse 21 and they said unto him we need to receive letters out of Judea concerning thee neither any of the brethren that came showed or spake any harm of thee but we desire of thee what thou thinkest for us concerning this sect we know that everywhere tis spoken against so here Paul calls him and says I need y'all to come together I'm here for the hope of Israel what was he meaning I'm here for the hope of Israel was was Paul thinking possibly in the back of his mind you know I know the raptures got to come I wonder if these Jews accept Jesus if then the kingdom will come because in Acts we see how the nation of Israel rejects the Messiah way back here with the stoning of Stephen all the Jews in Jerusalem rejected Jesus then it was later when Paul was in Asia that the Jews got upset and the Jews of Asia so she got the Jews of Jerusalem rejected the Messiah the Jews of Asia reject their Messiah so Paul goes and he reaches the Jews over here what do these Jews do well unfortunately they they reject the Messiah now some accepted but all of them did not and we will see about some that did now I've always wondered what Paul was thinking why he would say for the hope of Israel was Paul thinking right here that you know what if these guys except Jesus why maybe Jesus will be standing up in heaven like Jesus was standing up in heaven when they stone Stephen over here I don't know but one thing I do know is that the Apostle Paul believed that the rapture would be in his day let's go to 1st Thessalonians the Apostle Paul believed that the rapture of the church was going to come and he thought that it would come in his day let me show you that first thessalonians chapter 4 first thessalonians chapter 4 is the passage of the rapture 1st Thessalonians 4:13 but I would not have you to be ignorant brethren concerning them which are asleep that you sorrow not even as others which have no hope then notice what Paul says in verse 14 for if we believe that Jesus died and rose again even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with them now look at verse 15 and notice the wording of verse 15 for this we say unto you by the word of the Lord that we what does we mean it means me in everybody else some Polish Pope speaking and he says we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep the Apostle Paul is telling the church the rapture is coming and we they're alive when he comes well we'll go up with Jesus why would he say that unless he thought that the rapture was going to be in his lifetime that's what he was thinking the Apostle Paul was thinking I'm probably going to be alive when Jesus comes back now I've gone through the book of Hebrews I don't have time to go into this but remember Jesus died in 33 AD and the Apostle Paul in the book of Hebrews writing to the Jews - remember when you guys were in the wilderness for forty years and almost and again kind of reading a little bit between the lines it almost looks like the Apostle Paul is saying now remember how they were 40 years in the wilderness well if you take 33 and add 40 well that comes up to what 73 ad so the Apostle Paul I know I'm not don't quote me on this saying that I teach this dogmatically but I'm just throwing this out as a possibility what if Paul thought that just as in the time of Moses there were four years in the wilderness God would reject Israel only for 40 years and so he was thinking in my lifetime but about the time of 73 ad well that just might be the rapture so maybe that was Paul's thinking and so Paul is telling these Jews hey guys you need to get right and thinking you know and what time is this taking place what we're reading what we're reading right now in in Acts chapter 28 is around 62 ad so that's only 10 11 years before that date of what Paul might could have possibly have been thinking could have been the rapture because it's clear as you read the Bible that Paul says we that are alive and remain thinking I think I might just be alive when Jesus comes back now was it 40 years no we look back in history go now but you know what it was it was 40 Jubilees at least because the Jubilee is how much 50 years 50 times 40 mm here we are 2,000 years later and God is about to go back to dealing with the nation of Israel so the moral that story brother in is do not make God mad you know the first time you you get God angry while he'll he'll take 40 years off your life it next time 42 believes you know so the Israel really did wrong by rejecting their Messiah in almost 2,000 years they've had to wait for his return so the rapture could be at any time okay so could that might have been why Paul windage Israel he went back there to try to warn them and try to tell him you know brother and I think the rapture is coming in my lifetime I just want you to know that you probably never see me again but I want you all here one more time watch for Jesus return because he literally believed that we which are alive and remain why would he say we which are alive and remain less he thought he was going to be one of those that was alive at the rapture and he thought the rapture would be in his day so going back to a chapter 28 of Acts verse 24 this calls therefore I've called you to see you and speak with you because that for the hope of Israel I'm bound with this chain what is the hope of Israel what is it we're hoping the rapture will come and God will go ahead and bring the kingdom in so Israel if you accept the Messiah that just may be the kingdom will start then is that what he's thinking I don't know but mercifully what and they said unto Him we need to receive letters out of Judea concerning thee neither any of the brother that came showed or spake any harm of thee now I love that I think that's hilarious as we read those other chapters the Jews in jus Judea and in Asia hated Paul repeatedly tried to kill him remember those guys that fasted and said we will not eat any food until we kill Paul and then you read in the book facts and then two years later he's kind of chuckle those guys must be dead if they followed through with their vow and didn't eat for two years but the Jews of Jerusalem the Jews and Asia said well Paul's gone good riddance they didn't even write to the Jews in Rome and say watch out for this guy they said ah good riddance and they forgot about him nothing like out of sight out of mind right so they said I forget it so the Jews in Rome said we haven't heard anything about you but now verse 22 but we desire to hear of thee what thinkest now or what thou thinkest for us concerning this sect we know that everywhere has spoken against now what is the sect that they mentioned all right the sect is Christianity the Jews begin to preach against Christians and they were first called Christians in Antioch of Syria according to what acts 11:26 so they began to talk against Christians why would Jews be against Christians and Christianity what's so wrong with a Christian this word right here this is what they hated you see the Jews have the Old Testament law that promised them the coming Christ the word Christ means The Anointed One that's what a Christ is and in Hebrew it's mashiac which we say Messiah so what the Jews hated was the saying that the Messiah has come in his name was Jesus they did not want to believe that Jesus was the Messiah and so when they heard about Christianity they said let's go around and tell everybody that Jesus is not the Christ he's not the Messiah so call yourself a Christian in those days was saying I believe in the Jewish Messiah and they said yeah but all the Jews say don't believe that and that's spoken against they say it's a sect you can't be a but you and believe that Jesus is the Messiah so this goes back to what we've talked about time and again in our study here and I'm running out of room so I'm gonna have to come over here here's my little timeline remember when the book of Acts starts it's all about who Jesus is and as the book of Acts continues it's about what Jesus did and Paul preaches both Paul whenever he goes somewhere he'd go to the Jews first and he'd give him a message of who Jesus was then he give him the message of what Jesus did for them so that who messaged the early book of Acts the early apostles were just preaching Jesus is the Christ he's the Messiah Jesus they weren't preached and Paul's gospel of trust the blood but Paul preaches both and so here Paul is preaching who Jesus is he's preaching that he is the Christ he's preaching that because he's finding Jews that he's never met before now verse 23 and when they had appointed him a day there came many to him into his lodging to whom can you imagine they they came to him to hear what he had to say nothing like having a captive audience what a blessing it's one thing to be a missionary and go to people that don't want to hear it but what a wonderful thing to go to people that are like hey I'm gonna come to your house and listen I can't wait to hear what you have to say Wow and that's what the Apostle Paul he had people that couldn't wait to come hear what he had to say but look what he said verse 222 but we desire to hear of thee what thou thinkest we can't wait to hear what you think Paul what an amazing thing so verse 23 and when they had appointed him a day there came in yet to him into his lodging to whom he expounded and testified the kingdom of God persuading them concerning Jesus both out of the law of Moses and out profits from morning till evening what was he teaching he was teaching two things it's talking about the kingdom of God and he was talking about Jesus persuading them concerning Jesus so he's talking about Jesus what would he have told them from the law and the prophets that according to the law and the prophets in the prophecy Jesus was the Christ the Messiah and what the long prophets say well there's all these Old Testament verses that point to Jesus as the Lamb of God as the suffering substitute as he who suffered in our place Isaiah us was Isaiah 53 he was bruised for our iniquities he would have given him the who and the what message together as one and he would have preached to them about the blood of Christ and there the importance of them to trust in the blood that was shed of Jesus so who he was Jesus is the Messiah but he died with a purpose it was to save you if you'll trust his blood that's what he would have preached verse 24 and some believe the things which were spoken in some believe not that's the results of the ministry it's impossible to get everybody saved I wish you could that yukine some will believe some will you'll always have some that don't want it and then you'll always find some that are looking and seeking and God has sent them your way and they want to get saved and they get safe verse 25 when they agree not among themselves they departed after Paul had spoken one word what do you think that one word was well when Paul stands up and preaches first in Jerusalem he said the word Gentiles and they said nope don't want to hear anything else he said he said Gentiles and then was it Agrippa or our Felix or Festus or one of those Paul says the word Gentile and they cut him off ago yeah I think it was a grim place appalled out beside thyself you know what you're talking about so Paul here is speaking to the through the Jews and he says one word and when the one word was said well they said not that's it we're done we're gone what was the one word probably Gentile Jews don't like the word Gentile and here the Jews are in the capital of the Gentiles Rome now watch this well spake the Holy Ghost by esaias that's Isaiah Esaias the Prophet unto your father's saying go unto this people and say hearing you shall hear and shall not understand the scene you shall see and not perceive for the heart of those people is waxed gross and their ears are dull of hearing in their eyes have they closed lest they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears and understand with their heart and should be converted and I should heal them this is a quote of Jesus Christ Jesus Christ quotes verse 26 in Matthew 13 14 any quotes verse 27 in Matthew 13 15 this is Jesus quoting Isaiah chapter 6 so let's go back to Isaiah so Isaiah says it jesus says it Paul says so Isaiah chapter 6 and verse 9 so it's important that we read our Old Testament you know I've had people tell me I don't read the Old Testament yeah but a lot of the Old Testament is prophecy of the New Testament and there are things in the Old Testament that Jesus said that Paul says so Paul is quoting from the Old Testament and it is for us today so it's good to find those things in the Old Testament now not all the Old Testaments for us but some of it is there but Isaiah 16 says and he said go and tell this people here you indeed but understand not and see you need but receive not verse 10 make the heart of this people fat and make their ears heavy and shut their eyes lest they see with their eyes and hear with their ears understand with their heart and convert and be healed so this is what this is God speaking and he's quoting an Old Testament verse Isaiah and it's about the Jews in the future miss understanding who the Messiah is and they don't get it so God foresaw that the Jews would reject the Messiah he knew it they wouldn't accept him but he gave them the chance he gave them the chance so verse 28 be it known therefore to you that the salvation of God is sent unto the Gentiles and they will hear it and for almost 2,000 years the gospel has been preached today to the Gentile many many people that claim to be Jews today they don't want salvation it's like their eyes are blinded I've known some Jews over the years and I like to talk to them about Jesus to try to explain to them who and it's just like it's just like their eyes are blinded they just look at you go I don't know what you're talking about it's like they can't see who Jesus is so what does the Bible say well let's go to Roman's 11 real quick I might have to go a little long because you know this is the last teaching but the question then is does that mean God is completely done with the juice nope God's not done with the juice he's going to come back to dealing with them someday but how are we to treat juice today Romans chapter 11 verse 1 and 2 I say then hath God cast away his people god forbid for I am for I also AM a fish an Israelite of the seed of Abraham of the tribe of Benjamin God hath not cast away his people which he foreknew what you not what the scripture saith of Elias how he maketh intercession to God against Israel saying he continues there let's skip down to verse 7 what then Israel had not obtained at which it seeketh for but the election and the pain and the rest were blinded according it as is written God has given them the spirit of slumber eyes that they should not see in ears that they should not hear unto this day and David saying let their table be made a snare and a trap and a stumbling block and a recompense unto them let their eyes be darkened that they may not see and bow down their back alway now verse 11 and say then I say then have they stumbled that they should fall god forbid but rather through their fall who's that the Jews fall salvation is coming to the Gentiles for to provoke them to jealousy because the Jews rejected their Messiah and now we Gentiles can be saved what a blessing that is but how sad for the Jew he's got done with the Jews look at verse 25 for I would not brethren that you should be ignorant of this mystery lest you should be wise in your own conceits that blindness in part has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles be come in verse 26 and so all Israel shall be saved as it written there shall come out of Zion the deliverer and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob for this is my covenant unto them when I shall take away their sins now verse 28 concerning as concerning the gospel they are enemies for your sake but as touching the election they are beloved for the father's sake verse 34 as ye in times past have not believed God yet have now obtained mercy through their unbelief so Gentiles for many ages for thousands of years were an unbelief they weren't saved they had false gods God sends to Israel salvation and they reject it God says okay I'm gonna go save these people over here if you don't want it it God's been saving Gentiles ever since and Paul is the apostle to the Gentiles Romans 1113 now verse son back to acts 28 verse 29 when he had said these words what words Gentiles will hear it verse 28 when he said these words the Jews the pardon had great reasoning among themselves and Paul dwelt two whole years in his own hired house and received all that came into him preaching the kingdom of God and teaching those things which concerned the Lord Jesus Christ with all confidence no man forbidding him and so he preached about the things about the kingdom of God now I don't want time to get into the kingdom of God versus the kingdom of heaven I have a youtube video about that I'm running out of time but notice how it is it just ends right there we are today in the ministry of Paul Paul's ministry is our ministry today and it's more for Gentiles and Paul has 14 books and we've studied verse by verse all of the 14 epistles of Paul and that is our doctor for today that is the revelation of Jesus Christ to us today revealed to Paul and where should be followers of Christ through Paul because God revealed to Paul what is for us the church age today and once the rapture takes place that's the end of the church age then God goes back to dealing again with the juice in the tribulation period also called the time of Jacob's trouble or Daniels 70th week and then after that he comes back at Armageddon and then he sets up his kingdom the Millennial Kingdom the kingdom of heaven now the book of Acts just ends there since we don't know what happens to Paul after these two years some people say he set there in Rome for two years and it took two years until Caesar came along and tried him and then they say that Caesar killed him other people think well no Paul ended up going to Spain I don't know here's what I'm gonna do I'm gonna close with with with both theories let me first explain this it is here with Paul two years in his own hired house verse 30 and he's preaching for two years in Rome now after those two years what happened well the books that were written at that time okay so all this is taking place around 62 AD we have three books that Paul would have written after or maybe during this two years this would be Titus first and second Timothy Titus is written about 65 ad first Timothy about 65 ad second Timothy about 65 66 67 ad so these are the three books that Paul wrote at the end of his ministry he could still be in Rome and it appears that he is in these books but Paul's other epistles are written way before this during his other missionary journeys first US long is written about 49 ad second Thessalonians 52 to 54 ad Galatians 57 to 60 ad first Corinthians 57 to 58 ad second Corinthians around 60 ad romans 58 to 60 ad so Paul would have written several years before to the people of Rome in the next book the book of Romans so we see in the book of Romans what he's preaching so when we're reading Acts we know when Paul is talking about preaching Christ he's talking about preaching justification by faith because that's what he's preaching you're justified by faith through Christ trust him trusting the blood now some people think that Paul died in Rome that after these two years he was killed well we know that Paul ultimately was killed by the Romans there's books out there and I don't like to go to books that aren't the Bible but there's a book called foxes Book of Martyrs and there's other books and they say that the tradition the historical tradition is that Paul was beheaded in Rome when I don't know 69 70 AD something like that maybe you've been before maybe there maybe 65 80 maybe here at the end of these two years but there are other people that say that Paul ended up going to you Spain let me tell you why they think Paul went to Spain because Paul said he wanted to go to Spain Romans chapter of 15 Romans chapter 15 and verse 24 Romans 15 24 whatsoever I take my journey into Spain and I will come to you for I trust to see you in my journey and to be brought on my way here the word by you and so he says when I get to Spain and then verse 28 when therefore I performed this and have sealed to them this fruit I will come to you by Spain so Paul had in his mind the idea I am going to go to Spain and that was his his desire now the question is did he ever get there we don't know what happened all these other times Paul went before Felix and Festus and Agrippa it tells us what he said and what they did and how they kept bumping him up to the higher court if you will so now pull ends up in Rome and now we're just kind of you know so now what it just ends it doesn't tell us so we don't know if Paul went to Caesar and Caesar said okay yeah you're forgiven forget about it and then he went to Spain and came back but what we do know is that Paul was in Rome in jail right before he died let me show you something and we do he does tell us some things in 2nd Timothy chapter 4 about what happens when he is before Caesar okay now remember who the Caesar is at this time if I'm not mistaken I didn't get to go back and look it up the dates but we did look at all the different Caesars on one of these teachings so I'm if I remember correctly the Ceaser of Rome at this time was the maniacal crazy wicked Nero so if Paul did get his day and it does appear that he did by these other verses I'm about to show you and he did get to go before Caesar here's what happened in 2nd Timothy chapter 4 and verse 16 2nd Timothy 4:16 all right now he's he's talking here in 2nd Timothy chapter 4 about and this is the last book Paul would have written second Timothy last full book about how he was um having to go before and and he's about to die you know he's writing this saying I'm about to die now verse 16 he's telling about when he went before Caesar and in 2nd Timothy 4:16 he says that my first answer no man was stood me but all men forsook me I pray God that it be not late to their charge so this we don't hear from Luke what happened but here we hear Paul writing to Timothy about now I finally got to go before Caesar and I finally got to stand up and speak for myself and when I did I looked around and all the other Christians in the room just kind of just kind of walked out and left because they're like oh boy so whatever Paul said it was so outlandish so crazy maybe he wasn't even crazy was so true that they're like yep Caesar is gonna kill him and so they it's kind of nicely backed out of the room instead okay Paul you're on your own and so Paul says that when he was before Caesar every other Christian who would have been Aristarchus and Luke possibly some other Christians they said all right we're gone and they left Paul there and then what happened verse 17 in those days if you I hate to use the word pissed off but if you if you make Caesar mad he threw you into the Coliseum to the Lions and we know this from history that many Christians were thrown into the Lions and the Lions ate them in the Coliseum well that's what Nero did to Paul and look at verse 17 notwithstanding the Lord stood with me and strengthened me that by me the preaching might be fully known and that all the Gentiles might hear and I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion so whatever happened when Paul did get to go before Caesar he said something that made Caesar so angry this Caesar says out with this guy put him in the Colosseum and let everybody watch the lines eat him so they put him in the Colosseum and Paul's there and he's just like and an outcome all the Lions and the people that day didn't get to see what they paid for see they loved to watch the Lions eat the Christians the Lions just kind of walked over and coming and walked away and Paul just stood there and not one lion touchdown what does that remind you of do you remember I said when he got on the boat reminded us of the story of Jonah him running from God going somewhere where God said to go somewhere else remind us of Jonah this right here reminds me of Daniel Daniel in the lion's den remember daniel said you know what i'm not going to bow the knee to anybody else i'm gonna serve god here's paul he says no no i'm not gonna serve you Caesar now I don't know what Paul would have said but I do know historically the Caesars of Rome believed they were gods and you had to say that Caesar was God and worship Him is God and I can only imagine that Paul got to come before Caesar and Caesar says kneel down before me I'm a god and in my head I imagine Apostle Paul saying there's no god but my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and you're just a wicked filthy man that needs to be saved and when he said that all the other Christians kind of slithered out and and I'm sure Nero said I'll throw him to the Lions wouldn't even hear his case I don't know I wasn't there but I do know he was thrown to the lion and that's probably why because he tried to tell Nero the truth that he was not a god and that's probably why Nero hated Christians so much the other day I was watching a PBS documentary on Nero was an hour long and it was so sick it was so sick they were going through and they were making the Christians look like the evil wicked bad guys and they were trying to make Nero look like the good guy and I just got man had they read their Bible they would have known that Paul went before him but in this historically Nero is portrayed as an evil man who burned down Rome and blamed all the fault on the Christians and said well the Christians did it and yet he himself did it but this this documentary by these lost pagan people I don't know History Channel or whatever it was National Geographic my dad used to call the national pornographic whatever they were they were trying to say that Christians were evil and they were a cult then they believe in the end of the world so they went and they burned down Rome and they probably did it on purpose to try to say oh it's the end of the world and they made the Christians out to be the bad guys and Nero to be a good guy and I look at a girl no no I've got a Bible and according to the Bible Nero believed he was God and God sent a man to him named Paul and Paul said no sir you're not God and God proved it because when he put him into the the Coliseum the Lions wouldn't even eat him and I can only imagine that's why Nero hated Christians so much because one stood up to him so did Paul ever get out of that situation make it to Rome and then come back I don't know but as you read 2nd Timothy it looks like Paul is writing I was gonna read to you 2nd Timothy chapter 4 verse 6 to 22 I don't have time but if you get a chance to read 2nd Timothy chapter 4 and read and see what Paul is saying the last words that Paul pens and I believe he probably wrote the last chapter of Hebrews - but that's another thing but the last word full epistle that Paul pens and he's saying you know I fought my course I fought my fight is he's riding like it's the end I know I'm about to die and this was probably when he was killed right after this when Nero had his head cut off if that's what happened and historically we're told that's what happened but in the Bible were not told so that's the book of Acts I hope it's been a blessing to you I've thoroughly enjoyed studying it somebody asked brother breaker what will we learn next I don't know possibly the book of Jude possibly James the 1st and 2nd Peter I definitely want to do first 2nd Peter and James but Jude is a small book we might do that I don't know I'll pray about it I'm gonna take a week or so off and before we start our new verse by verse Bible study but I feel I've done my best to show you the book of Acts verse by verse and the importance of the Apostle Paul and I pray that it's been a blessing to you thank you for watching
