hey family welcome to the official youtube page of one i'm excited that you're here this message is getting ready to bless your life i want you to stay connected to the incredible things that are happening in this movement so don't forget to subscribe and turn on your notifications and if you want to partner with us and some of the great things that we're doing all over the world you can give as well now it's time to get into this word i love you god bless you let's stay connected do me a favor and just think for a moment who would i be if i truly trusted and believe that god's promises never fail how would it change my life how would it change the way i'm looking at this circumstance that i'm standing in right now you see it's so easy for us to forget the promises of god when we're in the middle of trying circumstances and situations but there is a song that i have been prophesying over some very tough situations that i've had in my life and it's not even me prophesying that the situation will be over it's me reminding myself that god is still holy above it all because that's one of the promises that we can count on is that god is going to be the same today yesterday and forevermore and when i am reminded of the holiness of god i invite god's holiness into my situation and when i invite god's holiness into my situation my situation doesn't even have to change but i become more holy as a part of it and i start worshiping my hand lifting my hands in worship and i start praising god because i recognize that god's holiness is with me even in the midst of trauma and sometimes that is the hedge of protection that makes the difference is knowing that god's still holy facing a disease god's still holy uncertain of what your future holds god is still holy and if god is still holy and i am a part of god then god's going to make me whole in the process your brokenness is not going to last forever your disappointment has an expiration date your fear is not allowed to be a permanent residence that holiness is going to make you whole and when you're in the process of being being made whole you recognize that you are partnering with god and that partnership never leaves us empty one of the promises of god is that we always have access to that that's one of the things i love about us coming together in this way is that it is an opportunity to be reminded of the promises the faithfulness and the holiness of god i'm so excited about this word that god gave me i feel like god gave it for me he gave it to me but i'm going to give it to you i'm going to let you borrow it and if you know someone else who needs to borrow a word i want you to type in a text to them tag them let them know that we are having church and they are invited i love activate because i feel like god always gives me a unique assignment it feels different from when i preach anywhere else i feel like activate is about literally awakening awakening something that's down on the inside of you and sending you off into your sphere to dominate in the way that god wants the kingdom of heaven to dominate my subject is activating audacity and i'm going to be in matthew 3 verse 4 through 9. this is john the baptist we talk a bit about him being the forerunner to jesus but i've never even preached about john the baptist's life but when i was studying and praying i just felt like god was activating audacity in somebody is that you if that's you i want you to type that's me that's me i feel like god is calling someone into a season of audacity but they don't know how to activate it let me say that better i feel like god is calling someone into a circumstance into an opportunity that they can only lay hold of if they're willing to be audacious and yet you don't remember the last time you had audacity you've been on autopilot for so long that being brave and courageous is something that feels foreign but i hear god saying that this is going to be a season where the audacious step into opportunities and moments and rooms that they should have never been in but because they're doing it with audacity it's going to force the door open it's going to force the opportunity to become what god has assigned so we're going to activate some audacity tonight matthew 3 4-9 now john himself was clothed in camel's hair with a leather belt around his waist and his food was locust and wild honey then jerusalem all judea and all the region around the jordan went out to him and were baptized by him in the jordan confessing their sins but when he saw many of the pharisees and sadducees coming to his baptism he said to them brood of vipers i think that's the biblical way of cousin somebody out i don't know brutal vipers it just gives spicy i don't know brooded vipers who warns you to flee from the wrath to come therefore bear fruits worthy of repentance in other words he says if you're really going to be here to be baptized don't just come here to be looky loose don't just come here to see what i'm doing if you're coming here to really have transformation then bear fruits worthy of repentance and do not think to say to yourselves we have abraham as our father for i say to you that god is able to raise up children to abraham from these stones he continues to talk to them i'm going to stop right here but if you want to see it in context you've got to read the whole chapter but i want to talk about the audacity that he has in this moment god we just thank you that you've already made a decision about what this word is supposed to be and my only job is to pour it out as you give it to me so god i pray that you would highlight the key moments that every person listening to this message needs to hear that this would not be about what i think they need to hear but god that this would be such a divine such an intimate encounter with you that there is no doubt that they heard from heaven heaven we receive the word assigned to our lives we receive the word assigned to our identity and we say god let nothing be left on the table that is meant for us god we thank you that you're going to seal this word and that it's going to produce fruit in jesus name amen amen again i just can't say amen one time i don't know what it's about i was reading uh this novel and the novel was based in the 1920s and i was surprised when i was reading it because there was this circumstance that took place in the 1920s that either i skipped in history class or didn't learn about at all in the south there was this need for cotton production because there was so much cotton production so much demand for cotton farmers in that area found themselves just creating crop after crop after crop of cotton they didn't realize though that the cotton is so dry that it was sucking the nutrients out of the soil so around the 1920s they couldn't produce from that soil anymore which would have been disappointing but that wasn't the end there were also these wind storms and when the wind stores wind storms came it would blow the dust and the dirt the soil that dried out soil these incredible wind storms would happen and they would literally bury houses and homes and people would be inhaling dirt they called it the dust bowl and this happened in the south and that's why people started migrating to the west it's because they were trying to escape the dust bowl of the south this was particularly interesting to me because for years those farmers in those regions ultimately went without having anything to produce it was almost like a wilderness season for them they went from thriving producing doing well being profitable to suddenly having their very livelihood ended because they didn't recognize how their actions were affecting the soil isn't it crazy how we can be producing and be profitable but also be creating our demise at the same time because you're profitable doesn't mean that you're actually having sustainability profitability and sustainability are not the same thing that's why we hear phrases like 15 minutes of frame 15 minutes of fame because those 15 minutes of fame is an indication that you have to capitalize on the timing while you have it otherwise you may not be able to sustain the attention connected to whatever has brought you into the spotlight and yet all while these farmers were going through this wilderness season george washington carver was studying whenever i think about george washington carver i think about peanuts and peanut butter but he was actually an incredible mind a brilliant mind that was able to help bring remedy to what was happening in the south at that time because while everyone else was just trying to survive the wilderness george washington carver was studying it that's such an interesting concept because when i look back over my own wilderness seasons i can see how i was so busy trying to survive those seasons that i didn't take the time to study those moments so you've got to be willing to open your eyes in the wilderness oh god i feel like that's somebody's message you may be thinking to yourself my eyes are open i just don't like what i see no if you are in a wilderness season then there is a lesson that is taking place in the wilderness and you don't want to miss the lesson just because you don't like what you see while everyone else was trying to survive george washington carver was trying to study how did we get here but most importantly how do i get out you see when you close your eyes in the middle of your wilderness seasons and you just say i'm just going to wake up and go through the motions i'm not going to be awake and i'm not going to have my spirit awaken to what action can take place in the middle of the wilderness you will be stagnant when you are called to be the solution in the wilderness the fear of the wilderness the surprise the shock of the wilderness it makes us stagnant it makes us feel stuck but then we have to make a decision within our soul to say god if you place me in this god if you're still holy in the midst of it all let me awaken my spirit so that i'm not on autopilot and miss my opportunity to be a solution god's calling some of you to be solutions in the middle of the wilderness that while the industry may be changing while the world may be shifting into a different dimension and people are waiting for the world to emerge god is calling some people to be a part of the trailblazer you're in a family and your family is going through a wilderness season and they don't know what to do and they don't know how to pray and they don't know how they're going to come out of it i hear god saying that if you awaken your spirit then you can lead them out of that wilderness season and if we are willing to open our eyes each of us have an opportunity to carry those connected to us into sustainability god george george washington carver was studying in the middle of the wilderness in the middle of the world changing he's studying because he recognizes that this wilderness cannot happen again oh god george washington carver recognized that i don't want this to happen again and if i don't want this to happen again if i ignore that it occurred if i miss out on the lessons connected to it then it could repeat itself and i hear somebody i hear for somebody that if god has placed you in a wilderness season and there's something down on the inside of you that is uncomfortable with it it's because god is trying to make sure that you get so bothered by it that it doesn't happen again on your watch that you come to a place where you realize that if i am exposed to this wilderness and i open my eyes to lean into this wilderness that god's not just going to give me solution on how to stay out of the wilderness but how to keep the generations connected to me from coming out of it as well you see there's always someone coming up behind you and when someone is coming up behind you you get to be a part of what they step into when they come up behind you and i hear god saying that there are some wildernesses that you had to face so that the people coming up behind you don't have to face it and when you lean in you teach your family metrics and ways to have paradigm shifts and patterns that keep that wilderness from happening again i wish i could say that the way that i feel it but the only way we break a generational curse is if we study how this generational curse has shown up in our family how it's changed our ability to show up but most importantly what am i going to do to make sure it doesn't happen again it's one thing to break a generational curse it's another thing to study that generational curse so you understand how it functions and you understand how it shows up in your paradigms and how it shows up in your family because if you study it you show god where to put those prayers when you study it you show god what that worship is connected to i'm not just praying to break a generational curse i'm praying with specificity god i never want to see my family have to deal with depression ever again i never want my family to deal with rejection issues and not understanding their worth again so when i pray i pray in that direction when i worship i worship in that direction i don't want them to struggle with identity the way that i struggled with identity i'm being specific about the generational curse i want to break because i'm standing in the wilderness myself and i want to make sure that when i get breakthrough that the breakthrough has sustainability come on i want to talk to somebody who thinks it's bigger than them i want to talk to somebody who sees that is broader than them i want to make sure that this breakthrough has sustainability you are not a one-off you are not a one-hit wonder you are a trailblazer and if you only make it about you then you miss that there's someone coming up behind you and it's going to take audacity for you to see that this is bigger than just me it's so much easier to make it about self because if you disappoint self you only have to worry about self but when you realize that this is about somebody coming up behind me it makes me more audacious because i don't want my community to face this again i don't want another little girl another little boy another graduate to experience this again so i've got to be audacious about the moment that i'm standing in i'm studying this thing god how does that curse show up in me god how does that thinking show up in me if it's in my generation then it might be in me and if you show me how to get it out of me then i can help them get it out of them i'm talking about sustainability [Music] and in that season that season that they were in back in the 1920s there was a commitment to making sure this never happens again and in order to tap into sustainability george washington carver started creating different crops oh god he started producing different crops different outcomes different plants different species other than what had been produced before because he recognized not that we cannot produce what we had before but that cannot be what we exclusively produce that's such a powerful word because for some of us we think that in order for us to change one thing we have to change everything but they didn't have to change everything they just needed to introduce new items as well i feel like that's helpful for somebody oh this is such a prophetic word i don't know who you are but god is not calling you to change everything about you he's just calling you to introduce some new things the power of the wilderness is that the wilderness makes you so desperate and focused on what you're in that it helps you to produce differently would we have ever had this science had they not been in the wilderness absolutely not the wilderness taught them something in that moment that would extend beyond the wilderness season that they were in if i had a secondary long title for this message it would be don't forget what the wilderness put on you because so often we go through wilderness seasons and when we go through the wilderness we are so glad that we survived that we take things back to the way they were but had these people taking things back to the way they were then they would have been in a vicious cycle but because they honored and had respect for the wilderness when they came out of it they didn't forget what the wilderness taught them and i'm going to be honest with you over the last few months i've been in a wilderness season in my own life and i've had to make a demand on god's anointing to show up in my life in a way that i've never had to do it before but i also feel more audacious than i've ever felt and i feel like there is a connection between the wilderness and the audacity that i'm functioning in the wilderness teaches you that you can survive the wilderness teaches you that you can make a way out of no way the wilderness teaches you that if god will be with me in the wilderness then even if i step into a moment with uncertainty then god can be with me then there is something powerful about the wilderness that teaches you how to sustain your faith in every season that teaches you that when i went down to my lowest point then god was still with me in that moment the wilderness has tried to teach you something and i hear god saying that even if you went through a wilderness season and you were so afraid of what was happening in that moment that you didn't take inventory and you didn't take notes that that doesn't mean that the anointing connected to that wilderness is not still with you i feel like preaching to somebody today because i want you to understand that if you forgot to get the harvest from the wilderness that the harvest is still there i hear god saying that if you would take a minute and pull back from your circumstance and go back through the different seasons of your life when you felt like you were in a wilderness that you will discover that you are stronger than you think you are that you will discover that god gave you words when you didn't think you had words that god gave you relationship when you didn't think you had relationship i hear god saying don't let this current presentation trick you into believing that this is all you've ever been go back to those wilderness moments and see how god gave you audacity in the middle of the wilderness how you were willing to work like you never thought you'd have to work before how you were willing to be lonely in those seasons and to face off with loneliness without allowing someone to come in and contaminate your spirit you've been in the wilderness before don't let this wilderness make you think that you're someone other than who god says you are i hear god saying that you don't need someone to validate you that didn't validate you back then i hear god saying that the same god that was with you back then is the same god that is with you right now and what makes us audacious is not our own work it's not what we hustle up on my audacity is rooted in who i am in god my audacity is rooted in the fact that when god says that he had anointed me to preach the gospel that it didn't matter what stage i was on and it didn't matter who was listening or who wasn't that that audacity came from the anointing that god placed on my life and so my question for you is are you a child of god or not or are you going to allow yourself to be a child of fear a child of anxiety a child of depression i'm not saying the anxiety won't come but i'm saying that anxiety cannot parent you i'm not saying that the fear won't come but i'm saying that fear cannot parent you that depression cannot parent you i am a child of god and because i am a child of god when depression comes my god shows me how to conquer it when anxiety comes my god shows me how to conquer it god show me how to be audacious not because i have certainty but because i have you and when i find john in this text i'm looking at an audacious man i'm looking at a man who's understood that the wilderness put something on him i'm looking at a man who understands that his calling is greater than his presentation i'm looking at a man who recognizes that who's coming up behind him is more important than who is standing around him i'm looking at a man who doesn't mind taking bold risk how does he activate this audacity how does he come to this place where he's got the courage to stand in a moment where he looks like what he's been through i know there are so many quotes on instagram that would have us to believe that we shouldn't look like what we've been through but there are some instances when you should look like what you've been through because when you look like what you've been through it repels anything that's not for you when you look like you don't have any time to waste when you look like you're not trying to play any games when you look like you recognize that you are on a mission it repels from you people who are going to waste your time it repels from you people who are going to take advantage of you when you look like wisdom when you look like strength when you look like sturdiness not only does it repel those who are going to try and take something from you but it also attracts everything that is connected to you you see if john doesn't look like what he's been through then when jesus comes looking to be baptized he may not look like the person he's supposed to look like he may not look like the person who has been anointed to baptize jesus but because he looks like what he's been through he's focused you when you start looking like what you've been through you get serious you get focused you get intentional because you recognize that i did not survive what i went through to go back to looking like a person who doesn't have the wisdom that i had before that i didn't have before i went through the wilderness john is on assignment and when we find him in the text his assignment has been revealed his assignment is to prepare the way for the lord he's known this since birth that he was called to be the forerunner for the messiah when he was in his mother's womb god was speaking over him when you were in your mother's womb god was speaking over you god already had an assignment for who you were to be in the earth before you even took your first breath and john has spent his life being cultivated with the knowledge of who he is what a blessing that is for john because i recognize that so many of us haven't spent our lives cultivating that word that god spoke over us as a matter of fact we had to have an encounter with that word first and even once we've had an encounter it's difficult for us to cultivate that word but i want to study john because i believe that john is going to give us tools to have the audacity that allows us to cultivate the call that was connected to our lives before we were even born when we find john the baptist the first thing that stood out in my mind when reading this text is that john found a way to not lose what the wilderness taught him even though he stepped into his calling when we look at our text and begin with verse 4 it tells us that now john himself was clothed and camel's hair with a leather belt around his waist and his food was locus and wild honey they want us to know off top john is not like anyone else that's walking around right now when the bible specifies someone's appearance and what they eat that is an indication that they want us to know that this is unusual for the times and the circle and culture that this person exists in and so john has already positioned himself in such a way that he is still carrying what the wilderness taught him that he's still consuming what the wilderness taught him and i felt like this was such a powerful point to bring up when we talk about activating audacity because the wilderness when it shows up in your life and it begins to change the way that you show up in the world and it changes what you put on you and it changes what you consume it will be so easy to then get plugged in into circles and communities that tempt you to change who you became in the wilderness everyone knows about a wilderness season i'll just use it as an example the wilderness of living not just paycheck to paycheck because that would be a luxury because that would mean that once one paycheck was over that the other paycheck came i'm talking about living okay [Laughter] i'm talking about it's it's some areas where it is completely blank but you also know that when you are in those seasons that you spend differently than the way that you spend when your paycheck to paycheck let alone living in abundance but anyone who's ever had abundance and then gone to put to pa okay has within them this knowing that if i would spend like this when i actually do have resources then i would have a lot more savings or i would be able to do this or i would be able to do that and those wilderness thoughts those wilderness ideas those wilderness practices we lose when we start to have abundance again that's why it's so powerful that john is willing to show up as the person who has been living in the wilderness even though his calling no longer requires him to be in the wilderness any longer there is a focus there is a paradigm shift a mentality shift that happens in the wilderness where you don't allow yourself to have waste any longer activating audacity is about not wasting moments not wasting time not allowing yourself to fall back in the rhythm of the or culture around you or the circle that is around you because you recognize that the wilderness made you focused that's exactly what happens to john if you're taking notes i want you to write down four points the first one i already gave you i want to talk about what the wilderness serves to you as god is cultivating your identity because god doesn't just cultivate our identity in high moments god cultivates our identity i would say even more in wilderness moments i want to talk about the connection between wilderness moments and audacity the wilderness gives you the audacity to adjust your appetite just like in verse 4 where it tells us that his food was locus and wild honey when you are going through a wilderness season you automatically have to change your audacity somebody ain't watch activate since jesus was a little baby you don't even know how you stumbled across this message but when you get yourself in a wilderness season you become hungry for what you know can sustain you in the middle of the wilderness when you're in a wilderness season there is some music that you can't even listen to because it just takes you down further and further the audacity to change your appetite only happens in the wilderness where you become more serious about what you can and cannot consume where you are willing to eat what others will not because you recognize that your survival in this moment is key why would john be willing to eat locust and wild honey unless he recognized that i have to survive this moment i feel like that's something that someone needs to get down in their spirit oh god i don't know who you are but you have found yourself in a wilderness moment and what you lost is not the ability to survive in the wilderness but the ability to recognize that you must survive in this wilderness there is somebody who says i could make it happen if i wanted to but it's become optional for you and i hear god saying that you got to get back to a stage where you decide i must survive in this moment when i was going through my season this summer i was wondering do i even want to preach right now do i even want to write right now do i even want to show up in this moment because i feel like i'm in a wilderness season but then there was something that was down on the inside of me that said all of the people who you admire in your faith admire them because they survived the wilderness seasons not just because they realize that god was faithful because someone else said it but because they realized it in their own life and when you start changing your thoughts oh i want to come against someone's thought life right now in the name of jesus you've been in a wilderness season and you're consuming the kind of thoughts that are going to kill you you're consuming the kind of thoughts that are going to kill your audacity they're going to take out your courage they're going to take out your creativity you're telling yourself maybe i'm not good enough you're telling yourself maybe i don't have the worth maybe i don't have the value and i want to rebuke that right now in the name of jesus you may be in the wilderness but the wilderness is not going to take you out you may be in the wilderness but the wilderness is on assignment to bring out the calling of god that is on your life i hear god saying that i want you to start talking back to those thoughts i must make it to the other side i must see the faithfulness of god i must see how god is going to show up i made a demand in that wilderness season god where are you and i don't mean it hypothetically i mean god where are you in the middle of this season because i'm looking for you i hear like some i feel like somebody needs to start looking for god all over again god i'm looking for you i'm not waiting for you to just come up and appear i'm going to be looking for you everywhere i go i make an expectation that you're going to show up in this wilderness and because i'm expecting you i won't miss you if you are expecting failure you won't miss it if you are expecting fear you won't miss something to be afraid of but if you expect the faithfulness of god to show up in your situation you'll look for it everywhere you go you'll start praising god for a parking space you'll start praising god just because you woke up in the morning god you're still faithful in keeping me here god you're still faithful in sending someone to check on me god you're still faithful in allowing me to feel loved god i'm seeing your faithfulness even when i listen to this message somebody's listening to this message and it feels like it's just for them i hear god saying it is just for you and it may be for someone else too but you got to take it and make it personal you got to let me be your god and their god too i hear god saying that this message can be just for you and just for them too that this is not just church cliche that god is on assignment to snatch some people not out of the wilderness but into their calling because if i snatch you into your calling you won't ask me to escape the wilderness if i snatch you into your calling you'll recognize that even the wilderness is meant to serve me god snatched me into my calling god snatched me into someone who thinks that they are connected to who you are snatch me into someone who recognizes the power and the anointing that you placed on my life god i can see it in someone else's life snatch me into the consciousness of what you're doing in my life i'm changing my thoughts god [Music] i'm changing my thoughts in the wilderness and don't let me change my thoughts just temporarily help me to sustain this thing in every season god i want to think like this in every season i don't know who you are but your thought life used to be so much more pure and it's been contaminated by disappointment and i hear god saying that if you could get your mind back that you wouldn't even need anything else to change and i hear god saying the first part of getting your thoughts back getting your mind back is to start speaking what your spirit needs to hear i wish i could say that the way that i feel it but somebody needs to start speaking it even if they aren't ready to believe it because the power of life and death is in your tongue and if you want your spirit to receive it it needs to come out of your own mouth i feel like prophesying to somebody that you don't need anyone else to speak it over you that you need to speak it out of your own mouth that there's something about your mouth coming into alignment with what god wants to do i want somebody's mouth to become audacious i want somebody to have the audacity to start saying i shall live and not die i want somebody to have the audacity to say i am anointed for this position i want someone's mouth to have the audacity to say yes it's me and i'm going to do it because god sent me i'm going to raise this child i'm going to raise this business i'm going to save this marriage and it might sound crazy to you but i need my spirit to hear it because there's some moments where it sounds crazy to me too but i'm going to force my spirit to come into alignment with the audacity of my god we serve an audacious god he's got audacity that this this earth hasn't seen eyes haven't seen it ears haven't heard it the things that god has stored up that means that god has audacious things stored up [Music] for the audacious [Music] not talking about being big and bad in the culture i'm talking about being big and bad with god i'm audacious enough to walk into this room armed with the knowledge of the wilderness [Music] oh god don't cut off your life from where the wilderness ends and the promised land begins that wilderness taught you something you had to bury some people that wilderness taught you strength that wilderness taught you that you can stand up to life that wilderness taught me that back against the wall that i don't mind doing what needs to be done in order to not just survive but to stay connected to my call [Music] and what the enemy wants more than anything is to make you lose the lessons of the wilderness because if you lose the lessons of the wilderness you'll lose the audacity that came with the wilderness too [Music] we're looking at an audacious john the baptist who recognizes that this is a moment that i was born for oh god [Music] this feels so heavy you were born for this moment that's not everyone's word but you know who you are you were born for this [Music] born to shift the culture born to be a forerunner born to prepare the way for the lord [Music] to make it easier for the king of kings to come and touch everyone connected to his kingdom you were born for this moment to change that industry you were born for this it's going to take audacity [Music] man per usual i'm out of my notes but i feel like god is stirring up he's activating audacity [Music] and when john the baptist is standing in the manifestation of what he was born for it's only because of the wilderness he survived he had the audacity to change his diet he has the audacity to maximize his resources they say he's clothed in camel's hair the wilderness taught him to maximize his resources where is your audacity going to come from i hear god saying that you have resources you haven't even tapped into yet do you have the audacity to maximize them to recognize that something may have come into your life one way but god's going to allow you to repurpose it for the greater use of your call that camel in the wilderness was not meant to be wardrobe but when you're in the wilderness you maximize what is available to you he maximizes his resources and then the final thing that he does is he has the audacity to set a standard for the pharisees and the sadducees when he tells them that if you're going to be here then really be about what this is about he has the audacity to create a standard for what it is he's doing in the earth don't waste this time don't waste this moment don't waste this grace don't waste this anointing because you just want to see [Music] but he tells them to bear fruit worthy of repentance if you've really changed your mind bear the kind of fruit that looks like a changed mind that is audacity to tell those who are around you that if you're really going to be connected to what i'm doing then i have a standard that i have to say [Music] that means that you can still do you but you may not be able to do you with me because if you're going to do you with me there is a standard of integrity there is a standard of compassion there is a standard of excellence there is a standard of holiness connected to being with me what's powerful about this is that in order for john the baptist to say this he had to be willing to not be afraid if they talked about him to not be afraid if they left him to not be afraid if they would even betray him [Music] the audacity to set a standard in a world that is constantly telling us to compromise can only come from the certainty of knowing where we're supposed to be don't allow someone else's halfway in halfway out to rob you of the fullness of who you're supposed to be the power of the wilderness is that it allowed john's call his focus his anointing to be concentrated i mean concentrated like it was dense it was potent it was powerful because of what happened in the wilderness nobody was in the wilderness but him god and his call i want to pray with you family because i believe that there is an impartation of audacity that god wants for all of us to have let me be very clear audacity is not the same thing as pride i am not talking about ego i'm talking about the type of audacity that allows you to step out on water like peter did the type of audacity that makes you use the strength of what god said to move into the uncertainty of what you don't understand audacity to be led [Music] boldly [Music] that word boldly just struck my spirit if i can share with you i'm almost out of time but if i can share with you when i first started speaking i would get so nervous i still get nervous but stay focused here's the point i would get so nervous that when people ask me was i a speaker or a preacher or a pastor i didn't even know what to say because like i don't feel like one i don't feel equipped i don't feel anointed i just continue to do it because someone says that their life was changed i didn't necessarily feel like this was just like my thing it felt like something i had to surrender to god in order to do and as long as i was kind of like doing it but unsure of it i would have change but there wasn't impact it wasn't like this is a force i'm not sure that i even had the fullness of the power that god had given me it's almost like having your phone but putting it on low power mode because you weren't sure when it would die and that's how i was living i wasn't sure when people would just start saying she see she doesn't have it anyway and so that opportunity in those moments to speak would eventually die but when i fully stepped into it when i fully surrendered i'll never forget it was like the first sunday of 2018 and the message was unleashed and i preached that message about finally being unleashed into the fullness of why peter was even created to be the rock of the church and as i was preaching that message something happened to me and i felt unleashed in a way i'd never felt unleashed before i felt audacity and that's not to say that i don't get nervous anymore and it's not to say that i think i'm the best to ever do it but my audacity is rooted in the fact that i know i'm called to somebody so when the nerves come and the fear comes i remind myself to step in audacity and overcome those moments i want to pray for someone who's been hoping that god would allow them to step into their calling with audacity to step into the fact that you have a calling with audacity to not be so random but to be intentional about studying every season you're in because you recognize that your life is on assignment you are not random i don't care how you got here you weren't an accident i don't care who didn't pour into you as a child i'm sorry they didn't i wish you would have had it but for some reason god says i can take care of that on the back end the goal is to get us back to audacity we were created with it the audacity to subdue and have dominion that was inherently available to us then sin entered the world and yet god says i'm going to send jesus so that they can find a way back to audacity jesus had the audacity [Music] to come proclaiming that the kingdom of heaven was at hand and he did it to his haters and he did it to those who had never even heard of the kingdom of heaven because he was so certain about what he carried when you go into those rooms when you begin working within that marriage working within that family it's going to require audacity and that audacity cannot be rooted in your own works and your own vision in your own dreams that audacity has to be rooted in the certainty that god has called me to this moment one thing i'm sure of god called me to this moment i don't know how long i'll be here i don't even know what he wants me to say when i get here but one thing i know for sure is god called me to it and because god called me i move with boldness when i step into it i want to pray with you i want to pray for somebody who is ready to activate their audacity and i want to remind you that having faith for it is one thing having prayer for it is another but speaking it is what allows there to be activation i don't know what you're activating tonight what area of your life that you want to activate audacity in but wherever you are i just want you to speak it i want you to say god activate my audacity in confidence god activate my audacity in blank you fill in the blank and i want you to recite that prayer over and over again this is a personal thing a spiritual development that god wants to offer to anyone who's poured themselves out enough to receive it god activate my audacity in communicating god activate my audacity in humility god activate my audacity in writing and creating and producing and healing activate my audacity and walking away where do you need audacity because that's where i'm going to pray that god meets you [Music] god i thank you [Music] that you sent a word not just to make us feel good but to challenge us to grow and true enough sometimes growth is uncomfortable as a matter of fact sometimes growth is downright scary but we cannot deny that you're calling us to grow and so god i'm praying for every person connected to this word that you would begin to stir up the gift of god that you placed down on the inside of them god revealed the areas in them where they have been functioning in this false humility reveal the areas where they've been functioning from the place of their insecurity from the place of their inadequacy god show them that area right now bring it to their mind god i thank you that someone's being flooded with words that they've said with thoughts that they've had god and now that we have that area brought up in their lives i'll ask that you would breathe your spirit oh god the spirit of audacity the spirit of power the spirit of anointing the spirit of confidence oh god breathe that over that area right now in the name of jesus and we rebuke in the name of jesus by the blood of jesus we rebuke any thought that doesn't look like you we rebuke any pattern that doesn't look like you any fear that has taken residence in their life we rebuke it right now in the name of jesus and we do so with audacity we do so with boldness because we recognize that when you have desire to set someone free that you don't care what chain you have to break in order to get there and so we speaking right now in the name of jesus we declare and decree that that place that has been a stronghold in your mind is rebuked in the name of jesus i speak to principalities right now in the name of jesus and i plead the blood of jesus over you i believe the blood of jesus over your mind i believe the blood of jesus over your spirit the blood of jesus will destroy the yoke and i see it destroyed right now in the name of jesus and i want you to come into agreement that it has been destroyed it has lost its power over your life it has lost its grasp over your life and we thank you god because we recognize that we didn't do anything to earn this and yet because you are faithful you have the audacity to use broken people to do incredible things you have the audacity to use people who are just trying and attempting and make it look like they did it on purpose god we repent and we ask that you would give us the strength and the wisdom to bear fruit worthy of repentance and lastly god if anyone's watching right now and they don't know jesus they don't recognize what they have when they are in relationship with jesus is audacity [Music] father i pray right now that as they even consider it's is consider accepting jesus as their savior that they would feel your holy spirit meeting them right where they are not in a religious way god but in a real way where they would be in relationship with jesus and because they are in relationship with jesus they take on his attributes and his character and they recognize that it saves them from fear and darkness and despair thank you for jesus thank you for making him who had no sin no weakness no limitations all of ours we accept jesus as our savior and we ask that you would teach every person who is accepting jesus for the first time teach them how to walk with jesus how to talk like jesus how to think like jesus how to lay hold of every thought and walk away from that which no longer serves them that's what we get when we're in relationship with jesus thank you god for the fruit connected to this word may they write about it sing about it produce about it show up in it and may they do so in such a way that brings those coming up behind them a road map on how it's done in jesus name i pray amen family amen you got to type amen in the comments or it didn't happen amen amen i love i love being in relationship with god i love being in relationship with jesus and there are so many things that god does for me and even through me that i often feel unworthy of and yet in romans when it says to present your body as a living sacrifice i present my life my being my thoughts everything connected to me as a living sacrifice so that it can be made holy and acceptable one of the ways that i choose to do that is in the area of giving it's my way of sacrificing of saying everything connected to me i want connected to god i am a living sacrifice carrying the sacrifice and you can't be god-giving so this isn't trying to repay god for all that he's done giving is acknowledging who god is in your life god i acknowledge that you continue to feed me i acknowledge that you continue to show up in my life and i acknowledge that through giving and worship and prayer and connecting and serving and helping so i want to extend to you an opportunity to give the instructions are on the screen is very easy i could list so many of the reasons why i believe giving to this community is one of the best things that you could do if i had time i would talk about all of the families who have been fed if i had even more time i would talk about the work that we're doing in africa to help children's children in schools in uganda i would talk about the teen moms and women who have experienced brokenness who are sustained every month as a result of the giving that one does but what i think is most important about this community is that it is quite literally a reflection of god still moving in the earth if you're going to give give because you recognize that this is a place where god continues to move in the earth and you want to be a part of what god is doing in the earth to be very clear we don't pressure you to give we give cheerfully [Music] because we recognize everything that we have comes from god and because we know that everything that we have comes from god it's just our way of saying thank you god i see you still looking at i see you still taking care of us and so let's give with that in mind tithe is very easy it's 10 of your increase and then there's the offering and that offering is our way of just saying you know what god i want to continue to sacrifice i want to sacrifice on an even greater level i didn't get paid this week but this word touched me thank you for sending a word from heaven we sow into what's sowing into us god i thank you for every seed connected to this moment i call it seed because i recognize that we don't lose anything when we sow it into the kingdom of heaven and when we sow it into the kingdom of heaven we recognize that it is the only currency that allows us to literally have transformed lives so god we present these seeds this offering to you when we say build your church god replicate multiply throughout the world in afghanistan may they hear of your wonder in africa may they hear of your wonder in russia god all throughout the world and we thank you that we are a part of a community that is quite literally reaching into all of those places god we thank you that you are going to continue to edify this church so that we can continue to touch change and transform lives and god we pray a special blessing over everyone connecting in this moment god you see how they're sacrificing giving above and beyond what they usually give giving for the first time god we know that you see every seed and that you will not allow it to return unto them void thank you god for what you've already decided to do as a result of our obedience in jesus name i pray amen family
