From Weeping to Walking | Sarah Jakes Roberts

hey family I'm pastor touré Hester Sara we just want to greet you before you get ready to watch this powerful message we believe it's going to change your life we've been praying for you and we also financially that are making a difference considering their crisis so we just thank you they're giving instructions on the screen here partner with us then let's get into this word the church girl and me got happy singing that song no fire can burn me there's something about being reminded about the power that we have when God is working down on the inside of us and I hope as you were reciting those words that you had in mind that thing that's trying to take you out because sometimes you got to unleash your mouth on the enemy literally if the power of life and death is in the tongue I want to challenge you to begin prophesying over what is standing in your way standing in whatever it is that God has for you I dare you to start prophesying that it would be moved and that it would be rendered powerless under the anointing of God that is working down on the inside of you you know we had such an incredible Easter weekend and celebration and as I was praying and studying I couldn't move out of the celebration spirit and I've just been studying about Jesus and His resurrection and the interactions that he had afterwards and God gave me something I want to share with you it's not going to be too eloquent and he long gate it but it is a word from God and I believe it's going to be helpful I'm gonna be in John 20 verse 15 and my subject for tonight is from weeping to walking from weeping to walking and I want to talk about how Jesus came back after he had been resurrected and how he interacted with his disciples and even those who were following him but weren't necessarily official disciples and I really felt like this was important because as I was studying and praying I thought to myself why is it that Jesus wasn't just resurrected and then immediately ascended to heaven what is it that he had to do in between resurrection and ascension and I wanted to study that because there was obviously something that the resurrected Jesus needed to jumpstart and the people who were following him and I found myself studying Mary Magdalene this is going to be verse 15 Mary Magdalene responded a bit differently than the other disciples after Jesus crucifixion whereas John and Peter went home and tried to recalibrate after the loss of Jesus Mary Magdalene started tending to the body of Jesus and she's at the tomb tending to the body of Jesus but when she arrives there the body is not there now she's wondering what happened to the body and there are angels there and she's having this dialogue with the angels and the angels aren't giving her the answer that she is looking for and then she starts talking to a man she doesn't fully recognize that the man she's talking to is Jesus until he calls her by name and after Jesus calls her by name he asked her a question and verse 15 it says jesus said to her woman why are you weeping whom are you seeking she supposing him to be the gardener said to him sir if you have carried him away tell me where you have laid him and I will take him away she's looking for Jesus where has he gone and she thinks she's speaking to a gardener and jesus said to her Mary she turned and said to him rabble night which is to say teacher and Jesus said to her do not cling to me so when she recognizes that it's Jesus she goes to touch him she goes to touch Jesus in the way she could have touched him before he had been crucified but this isn't the same Jesus she was in relationship with before Jesus says to her do not cling to me for I have not yet ascended to my father but go to my brethren and say to them I am ascending to my father and your father and to my god and your God Mary Magdalene came and told the disciples that she had seen the Lord and that he had spoken these things to her from verse 15 that 18 we see that Mary goes from weeping to walking and as I was praying I felt for prophetically that God is doing the same thing in so many of our lives that the areas where we have found ourselves weeping the areas where we have found ourself struggling and searching that we're going to go from weeping to walking so spirit of the Living God we welcome your presence here there is truly no one else like you and father when you speak to us we have no choice but to keep but to become better when you speak to us we have no choice but to grow and to feel your love and to have clarity and vision and so father we desire nothing else out of this moment but for you to speak to us if Sarah Jake's Robert speaks then I may leave someone and stray but if you speak through me there will be no doubt that they will encounter you when their lives will be forever transformed father let this not be a good time let it be a god time let it be one of those moments that radically change our lives we turn this service over to you we turn our homes over to you our cars over to you our jobs over to you and we say father have your way and this time we are together leave nothing on the table and as for me father no fear no nerves no anxiety just your strength and your power standing tall down on the inside of me in Jesus name I pray amen I was looking at this text and as I was reading it and I told you because of the resurrection weekend like so many of us we have been more closely examining the life in the death of Jesus and as a household this weekend I have to tell you the church girl in me was struggling a little bit because I wasn't in church on Resurrection Sunday and in all of my years from righteous to rachet I've never not been in church on Sunday so I had to overcome my my discomfort about not being in church and I told my children I was like you know what we should watch we should watch The Passion of the Christ because I felt like if we watch The Passion of the Christ that we would have the perfect to Good Friday and we would go into Sunday with the spirit for celebration and as I was studying this passion The Passion of Christ and specifically that word passion I looked it up because I always thought that passion was about the emotion right emotions passion is such a sexy word right we say it all of the time I'm passionate about my art I'm passionate about this relationship I am in passion passion passion but I really wanted to study this word because in the passion of the christ' it doesn't fit the usual context that I'm used to and as I was studying in the Latin the root of the word passion is suffering or enduring now that struck me because now all of a sudden I understood purpose a little bit better because I had this new perspective on passion you've heard people say it all the time I'm looking for my purpose I'm trying to find my purpose how do I discover my purpose and people always say if you want to find your purpose find your passion because your passion will lead to your purpose but what do you do when you don't feel passionate about anything nothing overwhelms me with emotion the way that it should in order for me to lead to my purpose that's when I realized how powerful the root of the word passion is because ultimately what we're being asked when were asked what we're passionate about is what you're willing to suffer for our key to finding our passion and ultimately our purpose lies in what we are willing to suffer for I can tell what you're passionate about based on what you're willing to suffer for yes see this is when I realized why I don't have ABS I've been wondering for a long time why is it that I can't just get my life together and have the ABS that I know God wanted me to have when he created me and my mother's womb I recognize now that I don't have ABS because I'm not pass it about ABS I'm not willing to suffer for the ABS I will stay in the kitchen until 2:00 a.m. in the morning making pound cake I'm passionate about the wrong things I can tell what you're passionate about based on what you're willing to suffer for what is it that you're willing to suffer for I want to see young women become free and walking the knowledge of God's identity of who they are and I'm passionate about that I'll do that sick if I have to I'll do that stress if I have to not because I don't have anything else to do but because I am passionate about it so passionate that I'm willing to suffer see we make passion seem like it's this sexy little thing that wakes you up in the morning and it makes you be empowered and it makes you confident and it makes you walk around with your head held high but when you're really passionate you ought to suffer a little bit in order to manifest what you're passionate about and if we don't start to be honest about what it takes to be passionate then we will have people seeking jobs and people seeking industries and backing down the moment there is some suffering involved but I wanted you to know that you cannot have passion without suffering you cannot build the book and build the business and build the family and be passionate about it and not experience some level of suffering and if we don't start being honest about the suffering connected to our purpose and the suffering connected to our passion then people will be disillusioned and the moment they experience suffering they'll turn around and think I must have gotten it wrong because passion isn't exciting and passion doesn't make me feel like I can conquer anything that stands in my way passion feels like discipline passion feels like saying no when I want to say yes passion feels like opening up books and studying things that I have no point of reference for because passion ought to cost you something passion doesn't come freely passion isn't something that they're handing out and giving free samples of and the people you admire the most did not just become passionate without some level of suffering and we got to be crazy enough to not be so enamored by the purpose that we missed that in order to manifest purpose there has to be passion and you cannot have passion without suffering so you're looking for your purpose you're wondering where it is you're asking God about your purpose why did you create me and I hear God's saying until you make amends with the fact that you do not get purpose without suffering then you will always feel stuck I want to talk about suffering that suffering is not something that we are comfortable with we don't like suffering it makes us uncomfortable it makes us feel like maybe we're headed down the wrong path we don't like feeling like we are inadequate we don't like feeling like we don't measure up we don't like suffering and so some of us only do the things that we know we can do well because we cannot withstand the suffering that comes with growth and the suffering that comes with someone telling you you don't have it all together and you need to grow in this area and you need to be stretched in this area and if you only do what makes you feel good you will never get to better I don't know about you but I found a way to love suffering I found a way to address the areas in me that needed to be confronted so that I could grow and become more but suffering it's not meant to just have you suffering for the sake of suffering your passion has to have a purpose connected to it your suffering needs to have a purpose connected to it Mary in this text is not unfamiliar with suffering because she suffered when she had seven demons down on the inside of her Jesus cast those demons out of her because she was suffering and then she started following Jesus she starts following Jesus because now she has found something worth suffering for she left her life she walked away from her friend she walked away from her community Mary Magdalene is one of I think three women who are credited with financing the ministry of jesus which means that she allowed her finances to experience suffering as well but she finally found something worth suffering for I want to talk about finding that thing that is worth suffering for because sometimes we don't mind suffering but we don't receive salvation in return Mary Magdalene started suffering because she was going to receive salvation in return when the demons had possessed her and she was just suffering for no reason she wanted to be delivered from that because this suffering wasn't producing anything for I reckon that the sufferings of this present time present time is not worthy to be compared to the glory suffering ought to have glory connected to it if there is no glory connected to it then you were just suffering you're in a toxic relationship you're working a job that you know it's bad for you you are addicted to things you have this suffering but the suffering isn't producing glory and I want to challenge you in this season to find something worth suffering for that produces glory that produces salvation Mary Magdalene is so lucky because she has found something worth suffering for man I wonder what your life would be like if you finally found something worth suffering for when you find your passion when you find your purpose you will not even be the same person that you are right now I feel something prophetically for somebody watching this message that you are trying to find this identity that is going to allow you to walk into purpose and I hear God saying that you are not the version of you who will be walking in purpose right now that you don't even know what you can take oh I feel this God helped me to say it the way you're giving it to me you're saying that you can't do certain things and that you I'd never be able to do that I'd never be able to act that way I'd never be able to sing that way I'd never be able to preach that way to have a family that way and God is saying that you're making a definitive statement based off of who you are now but when you find some worth suffering for that you're going to become someone you never thought that you could be that says I'm gonna give you a vision I'm gonna give you an encounter that is gonna make you manifest the version of yourself who doesn't mind suffering I'm gonna bring the man into your life I'm gonna bring the woman into your life who was worth suffering for you're willing to suffer over people who aren't even worthy of who you are but God says I'm gonna bring someone who recognizes what's in you and this time when you suffer it's going to produce glory and this time when you suffer it's going to produce the next dimension of who you are I want to prophesy over your suffering for a minute I don't want to preach one of those two messages where I preach the suffering away I want to preach a message to somebody who recognizes that if I'm going to suffer everyone it go through hell then heaven better be waiting on the other side of me that if I want to go through the and the downs of life if I gotta face cancer if I gotta face disease face it because there's some glory waiting on the other side of me I gotta walk away from you why am i walking away cuz I'm sorry you're just not worth suffering for I'm sorry you're not working losing my mind for our own purpose my summer turns into glorious Jesus cut on the growth because his suffering was gonna turn into something you're willing to suffer for the wrong things but I want to break the spirit of you suffering for nothing right now in the name of Jesus when he said that he'll cause all things to work together for your good he means that you're suffering now but when it's all said and done it's gonna work out for your good you're willing to suffer but things that don't give you anything you're strung out you're connected to people who don't understand who you are you're willing to suffer in a way they're gonna never cross you to suffer and I'm prophesying right now in the name of Jesus that you would get a revelation about who you are and you would get a revelation about who - cause you defeat and that you would stop putting your suffer on clearance I can't suffer like this unless there's some glory connected to it I can't risk the best years of my life I can't risk my best creativity I can't risk what God has given me to cast my pearls amongst wine if I'm gonna cast my purse if I'm gonna go in the hole it's only because I believe that ultimately I will reach overflow God will never ask you to go in the hole unless there is overflow connected to what you're suffering over so yes God has called you to let go of some contingencies some proclivities he's actually to let go of those and you don't want to let go because you don't want to suffer god I don't want to be alone God I don't want to have to walk this thing out on my own god I don't want to have to suffer is what you're telling him I don't want to have to be without passion father says if you're not willing to suffer then you cannot manifest what I have for you suffering is such a part of life that you experienced it whether you're walking with God are not walking with God but it is only when you suffer for God that he causes all things to work together for your good and Mary Magdalene she's discovered this truth she has discovered that there are some things worth suffering for I thought when I was reading this text I thought that Mary Magdalene had lost her purpose that she had lost her passion and really I could relate to this a little bit because I know what it's like to lose your passion it's not unusual for you to lose your passion we lose passion when we're not willing to suffer for certain things anymore I'm sorry but I'm not willing to suffer for this type of marriage anymore we can go to counseling we can work and get things together but I'm not willing to suffer for this anymore I'm not willing to suffer in this job anymore my mental health is on the decline I'm not willing to suffer in this manner anymore and so I'm not passionate anymore you've been wondering where your passion is and I hear guys saying that you lost your passion because what was on the other side wasn't worthy of the suffering anymore that's when I recognized that Mary Magdalene didn't really lose her passion she lost the outlet for her passion and there is a difference between losing your passion and losing the outlet for your passion man we're in this season and so many people have lost the outlet for their passion and what I admire so much about Mary Magdalene is that she was willing to see this passion all the way down to the end she was willing to suffer with Jesus all the way down to the end she is one of few people who are mentioned being at the cross when Jesus was crucified she follows Jesus all the way down to the tomb I have to tell you you got to make sure that you are connected to people who are willing to see your passion all the way to the end god help me you see some people are only passionate when they're saying Hosanna and some people are only passionate when you are on top they're only passionate with you and everything is going the way that you wanted it to John and Peter no shade to them but they backed up when Jesus started to when he was crucified and when he was placed in the tomb they don't follow him all the way down to the tomb because they stopped being passionate when they could predict the end when people think they can predict the end they start backing up off of you who I don't know who you are but God just told me that someone's been thinking that they could predict your end so they backed away from you because they thought they knew what the end was going to be but because you were still passionate in spite of the fact that they backed away from you I hear God's saying that I'm gonna give you first-hand information that I couldn't give to anyone else you better watch out for somebody who stays passionate even when it looks like it's going down to the end because God starts giving them insight and wisdom that you could have never imagined there is a mother somewhere who's going to visit her child in jail everyone else has given up on him but she says I'm too passionate to give up on him I'm going to see this thing all the way down to the end we're gonna keep preaching this message whether or not one person logs in or 10,000 you know why cuz we're passionate until the end we didn't get into this because we liked crowded rooms we got into this because we believed in what God could do and I'm gonna sink this thing all the way down to the end I'm gonna see his glory all the way down to the end you may have to pull me out of this room before I give up on preaching the Word of God because I'm passionate until the end I'm gonna be until somebody puts me in the grave cuz I'm passionate uncie am i wanna waken your passion your passion something all the way down even when it looks like it's over even when it looks like it's breaking down I'm not gonna leave you I'm not going first thank you because that connected me to you and when you're waking my hunger and my hunger is passionate until the end I hear God's saying they don't know what the end is gonna be here I hear God saying that they don't know when I'm about to switch this thing around they gave up on walking it out because they thought they knew how the business was going to end they gave up on finishing school because they thought they knew how the end was going to be but I hear God's saying nobody knows the end but him and nobody will know what he knows unless they're willing to stick it out to the end I'm in this thing for the long haul I used to say all the time I'd never be in ministry and then I had an encounter with God and now I don't see there's no way I could not be in ministry I could be working at a grocery store and I would still find a way to try and minister to somebody because there are some encounters that you have with God that makes you say I don't care have this thing shifts I don't care how we connect changes I'm in this thing all the way down to the end you see they don't make them law you'll know more they make people who are to fair-weather and they back away when things are looking for somebody I'm gonna see this thing on me out to the I wish to down on the inside of you that you would get home enough and bold enough to start heaven the enemy you're gonna have to chase you will have to chase me down to the grave I don't know what God is gonna change it but I know that I'm gonna be there when he does I don't know what God is gonna change it but I'm gonna be here when he does I feel something on that I feel something on that when God changes this thing when God sets this thing I'm gonna be I'm gonna be here as a witness cuz I know it's gotta change I know it's gotta change this child this child has got to know God I know it's got to change this marriage ain't gonna break me forever I know it's got to change so I'm not gonna sit back and just let whatever happens happens imma follow this thing all the way down to the end and if I go to my grave God will know that I never gave up on his word that I showed up everywhere he told me to be and that I did it whether or not people would be there to applaud it or whether people would understand it because he saw me all the way down to the end God you saw me drugged out you saw me sexed up you saw me all the way down to my ends and then you kicked in and now there is nowhere I will go that doesn't have your footsteps leading the way Mary Magdalene she couldn't just go back I gave my life to this because he gave me life and what kind of person would I be if I turned my back on what gave me life just because I think is headed towards the end I'm more loyal than that when you get me and when God brings us together you're gonna be stuck with me forever I'ma be in your comments forever I'm gonna be chasing you down forever because when God brought us together he gave me an assignment to see you to the end and I can see you to the end and not even be in your realm cuz I'm praying for you cuz I'm believing in you because I know that God has plans for you and I won't be happy until you're walking in those plans with confidence my job my mission in life is to see you to the end Mary Magdalene she recognizes that she's got to see this thing to the end even while weeping because seeing things to the end means that you have to suffer sometimes she loses she loses Jesus you see her passion needs an outlet and that's why she's taking care of his dead body but now her passion doesn't have anywhere to go and as I was studying God told me that there comes this moment between the end and the new beginning where it feels like your passion doesn't have anywhere to go and that is the moment when you step from passion into purpose when you go from weeping to walking and Mary Magdalene in this text she starts off weeping because she has lost the outlet for her passion I feel this for you you've lost the outlet for your passion and you're wondering if this means that you got to go back to who you used to be that you have to go and face a life that you walked away from and I hear God's saying that if you've followed me all the way down to the end and you feel like you've lost the outlet for your passion it's because I'm getting ready to push you into purpose you see her passion at this point was just about witnessing what Jesus was doing and now she's about to go from witnessing what Jesus was doing to walking out who Jesus was yeah there's a shift happening in her life and she starts off in this text she's weeping but when this text is over she's walking and then she's talking and then she has become the manifestation of everything that she had been exposed to there are some seasons when you cling to people and then there are other seasons when you manifest what you have been clinging to she had been clinging to Jesus and now Jesus says don't cling to me anymore he breaks her rhythm have you ever had Jesus break your rhythm a rhythm that he started I didn't mind you breaking my rhythm when you were breaking me out of the toxic relationship I don't mind you breaking my rhythm when you were breaking me out of that job that made me put myself on discount I didn't mind you breaking me out of my rhythm when addiction was coming off of me but Jesus has broken her out of a rhythm that he started because when you go from glory to glory to glory God will always change the rhythm of the way you walk she's moving into this next stage of glory and in order for her to move into the next stage of glory Jesus has to break her rhythm in this season of your life you don't cling to me you've done all the clinging you can do you've done all the gleaning you can do now it's time for you to start walking out what you witnessed man God says I exposed you whoever you are I exposed you for years you're ready for this moment I exposed you on purpose I shook up your whole life to expose you Jesus shakes up Mary Magdalene's whole life to expose her to what can happen when you allow God's power to work through you God has shaken up someone's life he's shaking it up completely and he exposed them to things that they were just kidding with witnessing I feel this for you I don't know who you are you got high off of witnessing it alone you aren't one of those people who said Oh God make me like that you aren't one of those people who said God pushed me into the forefront you were satisfied just witnessing and there are some people God will always use the most unlikely candidates to walk out his will because they were just satisfied witnessing I was just satisfied serving I'm thinking of that message serve it up Mary Magdalene was just satisfied serving but Jesus says it's time for you to move from just witnessing to walking when Jesus breaks your rhythm he doesn't take you back to what was he takes you into what you could have never imagined when Jesus breaks her with rhythm he says to her do not cling to me for I have not yet ascended to my father but go that was so good to me as I was reading he says do not but go do not but go do not but go some of us get so upset when God says do not that we stop listening and we shut down because we don't understand why we would be rejected and we don't understand why we couldn't go the way that we want it to go and while we couldn't connect the way we wanted to connect why couldn't the relationship work out why didn't the drive work out why didn't the degree work out why didn't I get into the school why wasn't I able to move into the next city why god did you say do not and you shut down and get upset because God said do not but God says if you didn't if you wouldn't have gotten upset and you would have kept listening then you would have seen that there was a but go connected to the do not and I want to talk to someone who was dealing with the fact that God said no God doesn't just say no he doesn't say no and then period there's always gonna be a but go connected to anything that he says no to and I hear God saying it's time for you to put your listening years back on that I wasn't finished speaking to you I wasn't finished revealing myself to you I wasn't finished showing you who you could be in this season I had to say no I had to say don't do it because you were bringing an old rhythm into a new season and you weren't wise enough to recognize it yet so I had to break your heart so that I could show you the magnitude of who I've called you to be you're upset because I said do not you're upset because the engagement was called up you call it off you're upset because the church isn't what it was supposed to be and I hear God saying I understand why you wanted that rhythm I understand why you wanted it to be that way but God says I've got a but go connected to it I want to talk to somebody tonight who doesn't mind staying to listen to hear what God is going to say next it takes somebody crazy to believe that God is never just going to leave me out of know that he may have just paused me but he didn't stop me can you imagine if you were one of those people or knew one of those people who couldn't stand to hear no you're one of those people and you don't like to hear no you don't like to be rejected you don't like to hear that your rhythm is off you don't like to hear that your attitude is wrong you don't like to hear that you're showing up in a way that isn't conducive to what God wants to do in an atmosphere and sometimes we can't handle no because we are in such need of validation and affirmation that when we hear no we hear that we are wrong not what we did was wrong and so now anytime someone tells us no we walk away and we get in our feelings but God says if you would have stayed in that situation long enough if you would have stayed in that relationship and at that job long enough you would have seen that I was trying to grow you into someone who could go maybe the most powerful thing we can learn to do has not asked everyone to be our cheerleader and acts some people to be our coach I need someone to coach me through this may be why our relationships aren't working out and why it's so hard for us to receive the the growth that we need to receive is because we're looking for people who will be outward cheerleaders and God says I want to be your coach and I've brought people into your life who see what I place down on the inside of you and they're not going to cheer every time you do something there will be some seasons where they say do not but it's only so you can go and this is when Mary Magdalene she recognizes that I started off weeping what I thought I lost I started off in passion but now God has shifted me into purpose you're watching this message and as I was praying I don't know I never know who God has created a message for I just know that my job is to deliver it but as I was praying over this message what I felt more than anything is that if we are not careful that we will stay stagnant because we've lost passion and we will think that there's something wrong with us because we're not overcome with emotion god I used to have all of this excitement and I used to be set on fire when it was time for me to get up and do X Y & Z but now it feels like suffering and I hear guys saying that you cannot have passion without suffering so if you're really going to win in this season that what you must do is lay out every project lay out every friendship lay out every relationship and say to yourself what am I willing to suffer for what is the glory connected to this suffering I'm raising these children and it feels like suffering sometimes but when I see them begin to walk into who God has called them to be and to walk with confidence in a world that tries to tear them down then I recognize that my suffering produced glory in my marriage when I have to admit that I'm wrong when I have to admit that I could have done things better when I realized that something I did hurt my husband I suffering a part of me wants to give up but I recognize that if I give up that my suffering won't produce glory so my partner is worth suffering for because when I suffer for my partner it produces glory in our marriage this job this called this purpose this ministry that God has given me it costs so much there's so much spiritual warfare connected to who you are and the suffering the suffering is enough to take you out but the only thing that is more powerful than the suffering is you watching this message and getting set free and delivered and I'll suffer for it over and over and over again you got to ask yourself is this worth suffering for and if it's not you have to ask God well then what would make it worth suffering for if I was treated with the honor and value that I know that God has for me then it would be worth suffering for can you deliver the glory connected to my suffering if I was in a job that allowed me to change the world without reducing my morals then then I would say up until 2 o'clock and then I would go out of my way because the glory is worth the suffering here God's saying stop suffering for things that are beneath you and only suffer for what will produce my glory Mary Magdalene she figured this out and she found what was worth suffering for but then she had to move from witnessing to walking it out that's where someone is tonight God says I'm going to start pushing you to start walking out what you've witnessed someone is qualifying what they're willing to suffer for someone else needs an outlet for their passion I hear guys saying start walking out what you've been exposed to you don't need someone else to start the Bible study you don't need someone else to write the book I hear guys saying now it's time for you to walk it out Jesus is not resurrected and then immediately ascended because he needed to jumpstart the ministry of his disciples and that was worth him coming back down to earth for felt like some of you are about to receive a jumpstart I feel that for you hallelujah I want to pray for you I want to pray that God would bring another outlet for your passion that he would jumpstart you that he would remind you of the joy connected to following him that he would show you that even though you lost the outlet that it doesn't mean that you lost a purpose I'm just gonna allow you to reveal this purpose and to manifest this purpose in a new form that's one of the things that was in my notes I didn't even get to get into it but what happened is Mary Magdalene I thought she lost God when she was looking for his body in the tomb she didn't lose God she just lost access to God as she knew him and sometimes we leave we lose access to God as we knew him but we don't actually lose gun which means that we have to be willing to connect with God in a new way you didn't lose God we didn't lose our ability to connect with God we just lost access to him as we knew it which means now I have to experience Church differently and now I have to experience worship differently I got to try a new worship song I got to try to experience Church in a different way I got to try to lift up my hands in a new form because I will not allow myself to just live in the place where I have lost access I'll search for him if I have to Mary Magdalene she searches for God God I'm searching I'm searching I'm searching where are you I'm searching I'm searching I'm searching God show up god I need you I need you I need an outlet for my passion I need to understand who I need to be in this season father I followed you all the way down until the end god please don't tell me it's gonna end like this please don't tell me that this is how the story ends and God says it's not how it ends this is how the story changes and so I'm gonna pray that God would open your eyes mmm that you would recognize that even as you're asking him where he is now that you're literally talking to him that he hears every question that you have that he hears every every doubt and fear and concern that is in your mind and that he has a purpose for you he just need it to break your rhythm so father it is my prayer that every one who needs this message would take just five seconds and opened their hearts father that they would open their hearts to a new rhythm that they would be like Mary Magdalene and that they would be curious to learn and understand how do I interact with you now and that father like never before that you would awaken the passion of these your sons and daughters that you would help them to realize that they were passionate about something that doesn't exist any longer but that doesn't mean that that's where their passion ends that as a matter of fact they're about to begin walking in purpose like never before spirit of the Living God phone no matter where they are awaken them like never before that their eyes would be open that their souls would be open that they would recognize that you still have worked for them to do father we need a jump start father we need to be reminded that you are bigger than the moment we are standing in that you have work for us to do that will outlast the moment that we're standing in so father it is my prayer that you would wipe away every tear that you would help us to recognize that weaving may endure for the night but joy is coming in the morning just like that you're gonna go from weeping to walking just like that you're gonna go from heartbroken to heal just like that you're gonna step into who God has called you to be just like that your passion is coming back I'm prophesying over your creativity right now in the name of Jesus I'm prophesying over your health in the name of Jesus I hear God saying that it's time for you to get back in the game I hear God's saying that it's time for you to stop weeping over what has died so that you can see what has come alive there down on the inside of you I hear God say that it is life and life more abundantly and that it is available to whoever will keep listening when I say no that I wasn't finished talking don't interrupt me with your complaining don't interrupt me with your pain I'm not finished with you yet I'm not finished leading you I'm not finished protecting you I'm not finished guiding you I still have work for you to do it's so the first thing you have to do is to make yourself open to hear open to receive and that you would allow yourself to stay in position even when it feels like you may have been rejected I want you to repeat after me Father thank you for the ability to connect with you Father forgive me forgive me for giving up forgive me for walking away forgive me for not staying until the end father I'm ready to get back in the game allow me to open my heart to you and to break covenant with anything that doesn't look like you father I turned my life over to you and I say I only want it your way in Jesus name Amen listen family I love you guys so much and I believe that God is going to continue to give us wisdom and revelation that is going to see us through this season but most importantly he's going to give us passion in the middle of this pause your passion is coming back to you embrace it I dare you to start writing again to just start creating again to just get back even though you thought it was the end I didn't think the record deal was coming I didn't think the book deal was coming so I stopped working towards it and I hear God's saying pick the pin back up get the degrees back out get the application together that I still have work for you to do and I want you to be there when I shift things because there is some first-hand information that God can only give to people who walk things out the entire way listen we love you so much we've got communion on Saturday we've got another powerful message from our senior pastor on Sunday if I were you I would not miss
