hello everyone in this tutorial we are going to create a 3d model from this drawing and the model is not as simple as it looks but yes it is slightly tricky so having said that you can take the screenshot and yes in this yes I think all the dimensions are visible so you can take this screenshot and try it by yourself at first and then go through this video so with having said that let's start with the modeling but yes as usual I will discuss the approach first so clearly from this section view it is clear that this is a revolver geometry so I'll be creating a solid part and then I will be creating this cutout after that create a hole in third use the shell command also before that I will create the circular pattern yes and then create the shell command create this all create this cutout so quite simple but yes dimensioning is quite tricky also there is one thing yes the orientation you must note that this one of this cutout is lying on this horizontal line and one of this hole is also aligned with that so do remember that and keep it in mind while creating this model so with that let's start with the modeling now so we will select the front plane and go in theory one and select the centerline sorry select the geometric center line that will help you in assigning the diameter dimension so I will now create section like this just be aware of the unnecessary dimension or the relations that crea will create you can see the green line it is assigning the equal relation with that line so I will slightly come over here right-click make sure it is not tangent maybe like this and you can see there are so many dimensions diameter yes to be specific so we will assign those dimensions which we are going to assign I think that for from the bottom there is this dimension then we have this step this is fine this is also fine then we have another diameter dimension sorry this will assign the linear so in order to assign diameter dimension in going the dimensions in the geometric centre line select again and this becomes our diameter dimension I think it was there so this and also this endpoint diameter then we have what else yes so this is my mistake this is at an angle this dimension this is equal to this macho let's solidify this dimension even this dimension finally what remains do I will close this sketch and finally this step so all the dimensions are given and we will select all of them go in the modify tab uncheck the regenerate and assign the dimensions so that dimension is 12 press Enter you can see the dimension get box which indicates which dimension you are editing that is 72 that step is for the diameter is 72 then that radius is 120 the diameter is 120 well is 22 that smaller one is 35 this is 60 and finally 8 regenerate the sketch except sketch is perfect and Raval except now we need to create this cut out over here so in the section view you can see there is this section line and this portion is empty so that is basically a cut out profile is given over here and we'll be using this PCD dimension to constraint this sketch you will see as we do that and yes it is starting from 10mm of this base right so that's a tricky portion to do not tricky but yes I have made it so now Center to this view will be creating a centerline and create a construction circle whose diameter is 95 by 2 because this dimension is radius done come out of this construction mode right click select the line tool maybe like this right click arc let it be tangent okay this point is lying on the circle or fair enough like this symmetric with the centerline and make the tangent perfect you can project this portion close and delete the remaining segment now this radius is 8 you can see there are two separate edges and you might wonder where is the dimension of this circle so that is the simple play over here just accept this and remove the material now it should start a 10 mm from the base right so what we can do is select blind select enter 10 mm value but on the opposite sides or minus 10 that will add 10 mm material you can definitely go and create a datum plane and create sketch on that but this is another way to give the offset and it is very similar to the offset option in SolidWorks you don't need to be at any plain and simply accept it now go create the whole select this face the diameter of this hole is 7 mm onlys through old EFT placement you can give radial with the axis that will be Y or this one it is 95 by 2 and select another item it is lying on this plane so zero England never ever give concentrate if possible since we have both of them we will create pattern circular pattern of both of them maybe we can group them and create a circular pattern if possible X is number of instances are 3 and we will choose 360 degree and accept so yes it is perfect as we wanted shall it and select this face and this face press the control key and select both the faces all the faces I mean thickness is 3mm and done now coming on this face again we need to create a hole as I told remember about the placement at least one hole should align with this one this cutout so that offset is zero and another dimension is radial sorry so that is zero angle and the PCD for this is zero maybe 180 yes radius is forty seven point five by two you see it is given forty seven point five this one yeah so d added by two again create the pattern select the axis 360 and six so basically it will create six holes and those holes will take the angle which will be divided by 360 so three sixteen you added by number of instances will be the angle between two walls if you keep this command then the case will be like you need to assign the angle by yourself so if there are six instances what will be the angle between two if that goes on for the whole circle so you can select 60 over here and accept so anyway you can control it finally the rectangular cutout so select the rectangle don't let you assume the relations by itself I'll create the centerline and make it symmetric select this end points like this and point and then centerline again this is coincident with this width is 12 and height is 22 times are pretty much obvious from the drawing except rivers remove the material through wall and the mouse button so what model is almost ready except one thing let me accept this we left over here so we don't have anything for that so you can simply go around and select + ctrl select this face this face end you will have an option of full round so go and click you need to okay selected third surface I forgot just control control I think it should oh sorry sorry my word yes you'll to select this face and this face and then full round oh it didn't work because driving surface was wrong sorry over here yep this driving surface yes now it is working so that was my mistake you select the first phase you select the third phase and which surface need to be fitted so this top face needs to be converted into filete so that is about getting the full round filete accept and our model is ready so I hope this was helpful tutorial if you have any doubt you can ask in the comment section and thank you for watching
