it's the dream of many owning your own property probably the biggest and most important purchase of our lives but they don't come cheap it can take years of saving for the deposit which for many is quite a hard goal to achieve however there are properties around the world that could be yours for an incredibly low price but they come with a catch a catch that are so far made any potential buyers that are shown interest simply turn around and walk away these range from an old abandoned cinema that could be yours for next to nothing so abandoned houses in Italy that are up for sale for just a single euro so let's jump right in and take a look it's 4,000 square foot six bed mansion in New Jersey USA is on the market for ten dollars yep you heard that right this could be yours for 10 dollars this beautiful home was built in 1906 and as you can see is a dream house but as you can probably guess there is a reason why no one so far has been prepared to buy it even for a measly ten dollars that's because it doesn't come with the land it sits on nope whoever buys this has to move it the current owner doesn't care where it's moved all they care about is that it's gone so if you have some land available and the means to transport this house which I have no idea how anyone would then you could have this mansion for next to nothing and an added bonus the current owner is willing to put ten thousand dollars towards the cost of moving it for what do you guys think would you buy this is it worth it is it the bargain of the century or a huge financial trap old white wall house is an abandoned Georgian mansion located in the countryside of Northumberland Ek and he comes in acres of land then it was put up for sale for a single British pound which is of course insanely cheap but still no one wanted to buy it because of one little catch well actually it was a massive catch that's because old Whitehall house was on the buildings at risk register all buildings on the buildings at risk register are of architectural or historic importance and the condition of this sale was that it had to be restored to a good enough state to remove it from that register any party bidding for the property must have pre-prepared a scheduled detail in use and providing evidence to support the ability to carry out works and the total price of that would have been 1.2 million pounds so basically you could buy this house for a single pound but you have to prove you have the resources to restore it now as you can imagine thousands of people wanted this house for a pound apparently even people from India and the states and all over the world were trying to buy this mansion but once people have figured out the requirements not a single person was interested now as it stands half of this house has been demolished and the owners have just given up and tried to sell it and they are trying to make use of the land in other ways it's 100 foot long and 20 foot wide bunker in Devon in the UK used to be a water treatment center but now it's abandoned and it's been up for sale for many years for 28,000 pounds it was decommissioned in the 60s and has laid empty and rotting ever since and it features two huge water storage tanks that used to supply to people of Exeter and above-ground is surrounded by the beautiful scenery of the Dartmoor Moors this place would make an awesome bunker for any Doomsday Preppers and for a building this size 28,000 pounds is ridiculously cheap but so far no one has shown any interest to buy it that's because those Moors above are owned by the National Trust meaning they would never allow any development as it's a heavily protected national park meaning that basically whoever bought this wouldn't be allowed to do a single thing with it they'd simply have to use it for storage and now is the reason so far no one has been willing to pay twenty eight thousand pounds for this foursome bunker swept in South Dakota United States is a six point 16 acre abandoned town that comes complete with his very own bar a store and a few residential properties now sweat was founded in 1931 and it was owned by a farmer in the 1940s there were 40 residents at the time the community included a post office a grocery store and several houses and as time passed people moved on but new people weren't settling there and eventually one person ended up owning all of the properties and the land which he then sold on and it was passed from one person to another but no one ever really did anything to repopulate it it has since been up for sale multiple times each time failing to sell and each time the price is slashed and it's currently up for sale for a super low price at two $50,000 but still no one has bought it to be fair though it has had a bit of interest these include interest from a production company wanting it for a reality show and a few people who want it to be their own mayor and even a rich man who wanted to fill the town with 2,000 Russian women but in the end none of it worked out and no one went through with the deal this old abandoned 1500 seat cinema in Liverpool UK was built in the 1930s and it has four floors countless rooms and it's absolutely huge okay kind of looks dated and dreary but you'd still expect it to be worth a lot of money right well apparently not this could be yours for fifty thousand British pounds depending on sources which is absolutely incredible for a building of this size you couldn't even buy a one-bedroom apartment for that in Liverpool but as always if something seems too good to be true then it usually is the cinema has been abandoned and rotting for nearly 60 years and as you can imagine a building of this size that's been unmaintained for that long would need quite a lot of work to it as most of the walls are crumbly and he's been vandalized and it's just basically an expensive project so so far no one has been willing to buy it but what about you would you buy the huge building for just VPK in the Italian town of al-ahly on the island of Sardinia there are hundreds of homes that are empty in which the government once filled a safe and they've launched an initiative to solve the problem of shrinking populations now this quaint little town is full of historic properties it has picturesque views and fresh air with zero smoke and it's surrounded by beautiful lakes and rivers and parks and rolling hills and this initiative means you could buy one of these houses for just a single euro or 1.1 US dollars which is just crazy okay some of these houses are rundown but still one euro is nothing and I honestly thought that these houses would have been sold within the first hour of being on sale but that's not the case some have sold but they're struggling to sell the rest it's not even the cost of restoration that's turning people away the government have decided they will fund up to 60% of the cost of the repairs but still they're just not selling but they should be maybe it's because it's an isolated location there's no work there's no major services or infrastructure and it would basically mean that living here would be committing to
